(Chapter 14: Round 2)
"We can't just initiate a fight with all of these people around!" Dr. Andrews pleaded, fearing the worst was about to happen.
"Well, it looks like we don't have much of a choice anymore, all Delta, attack!" Captain Gordon screamed, missiles launched from all the HEAVs, firing towards Mechani-Kong as he continued to march their way slowly like a villain in a slasher film.
Mechani-Kong let out a mechanical growl as the missiles connected against the steel plating, the cyborg wasn't damaged, nor did it feel pain in any way.
Kong pounded his chest twice before letting out a mighty roar, charging forwards with his axe in one hand. His teeth bared in a menacing growl, Mechani-Kong continued to march forward, its systems locking on to its target as Kong rushed it!
Once within close quarters, Kong would raise the axe over his head, but Mechani-Kong swiftly stopped his attack by ducking down and shooting into his gut, using its rocket boosters to surge it forward. Kong huffed loudly as he dropped his axe from the impact as he was trucked against a building, his body smashing into it, causing some debris to come sliding off with a small trail of dust!
The mighty scepter of Kong was now lodged into the road as the two beasts began to brawl with each other in the city, with the organic Kong up against the building, Mechani-Kong would surge forward again! It's metallic shoulder smashing into Kong's mid-section again, driving him into the building once more, each shot continued to make the hole in the building larger to the point where it would eventually fall, but before it could. Mechani-Kong's hand locked around the throat of its enemy, it went to throw Kong into another building, but the ape would reverse it and send it hurling into the building himself!
Mechani-Kong's body smashed into it with a loud thud, sending loads of rubble sliding down it as the cyborg moved off, again rushing towards Kong only to receive a massive punch which managed to knock it over, crushing a smaller building beneath it!
Kong pounded his chest furiously while roaring at his downed enemy, Mechani-Kong was starting to get back up to its feet within mere seconds of getting knocked down. The ape picked up his massive axe and rushed forth, trying to go for a hack down at his enemy's steel neck only to miss when Mechani-Kong moved out of the way!
The cyborg's rocket boosters activated once again and it surged to strike Kong in the gut once more, the axe was dropped out of his hand once again as it struck the road with a massive boom. Mechani-Kong didn't stop there, it continued to fly Kong all the way down the road until they would smash right into the Smith Tower with a loud thud, the ape let out a growl of pain upon striking it!
Mechani-Kong's vicious attack wouldn't stop there, it would snatch the ape by the neck, squeezing down tightly! Kong would let out a few coughs before trying to find back by grabbing the unprotected jaw of his enemy hard, forcing his hand into it, shoving the head of the cyborg back to cause it discomfort. A robotic growl came from Mechani-Kong as it's camera could no longer see the enemy, as a result, the grip around Kong's neck grew weaker, allowing the ape to turn the tide and sling is doppelganger into the Smith Tower!
Kong knew he had to continue attacking relentlessly, he remembered what went down at Antarctica. The primate had to keep the pressure on and not let up, the guardian god of Monster Island grabbed the head of his mechanical clone before smashing it into the side of the Smith Tower, rubble and smoke shooting off the building each time the titans connected with the structure.
When Mechani-Kong went to turn its head to face the hairy titan, it would receive a massive punch right to the side of the head that would force it to snap to the side, metal clicking noises were heard as it done so.
Mechani-Kong's artificial intelligence told the cyborg that it was in trouble if Kong was allowed to continue wailing on it, so the rocket boosters would roar to life at the last second as the mighty ape geared up for another spring-loaded punch, shooting away right when Kong went to strike!
Kong's massive fist shook the entirety of the Smith Tower as it even put a hole in it that shot a massive amount of smoke out upon impact. The ape growled furiously as he clutched his hand before turning to face his enemy that was already coming right at him!
Mechani-Kong would once again, use his thrusters on his back to slam into his organic foe, driving Kong further into the city. The heels of his gigantic simian feet carving a path into the road, destroying buildings that they collided with. Kong pounded his fists on the cyborg's back, but there was little to nothing he could do about being flown further into more densely packed civilization.
The HEAVs followed the fighting giants, trying to get a good shot in on Mechani-Kong, but they couldn't risk hurting the completely organic one in the process. Frustration was building within the aircraft as Kong seemed to be struggling against his mechanical doppelganger.
Kong grunted loudly in pain as his back was smashed up into a building before being thrown into a taller one right across the street from it. Ash and rubble were quick to start filling the air as they brawled through Seattle, close to the Space Needle. The ape growled through his pain and retaliated with a monstrous right hand as Mechani-Kong came towards him once more, the cyborg stumbled backwards into a building and the primate rushed forward to smash his meaty shoulder into the exposed jaw of his enemy, a mechanical growl of pain was heard from his foe as it stumbled down the street, placing its large hands on the skyscrapers to keep itself standing.
Kong bared his teeth, huffing and puffing with determination in his fiery eyes as he charged forward before springing onto a building! With great agility he would bound from it and swing his foot like a club right into the exposed jaw again with a showtime kick that would make Anthony Pettis proud! Letting out a roar with effort as he put loads of strength into this kick, the strike was hard enough to knock Mechani-Kong into a building with a loud bang, stunned as debris slid off and began to fall over him as dust shot from the building!
Kong wasn't done yet and he would charge forward again to ram his elbow into the exposed jaw of the cyborg one more time! The ape noticed that targeting the organic parts of the cyborg seemed to hurt it more and that would be his strategy going forward.
As Mechani-Kong went to rally back into the fight with a punch, his target would catch his arm and clamp his jaws around the exposed part of the flesh that wasn't covered up by mechanical plating, the cyborg let out a robotic groan of pain before Kong hurled it right into a building with a loud thud!
Kong pounded his chest furiously; good people were dying on the streets and in those buildings while they fought. It was a sacrifice that Kong didn't want to make, but he would have no other choice now. The ape nodded his head towards the HEAVs as if telling them to begin their attack now.
"All Delta, open fire!" Captain Gordon boomed before the rockets and turret fire was sent the cyborg's way while it started to pick itself back up, ash and smoke began to cloud up the area around Kong and his mechanical counterpart as the HEAVs rained down hell from upon high.
The personnel within the aircraft noticed that no resistance was being offered and an order to stop firing was given by Captain Gordon, Kong began to approach the smoke slowly to assess the damage that had been done to his enemy only to get temporarily blinded by a great light that would shine through the ash and smoke!
Kong groaned in discomfort as he covered his eyes, staggering backwards away from Mechani-Kong as the cyborg rose from the ashes with one of its eyes shining a great ray of light towards the organic foe. Parts of the metallic plating around the head began to fall off, its right eye was exposed, ember colored instead of the bright yellow neon.
The rest of the cybernetic enhancements started to show signs of wear and tear, some of it had even started to crack and fall apart. Kong was putting up a better fight than he did in Antarctica for sure, the cyborg was having enough of it.
While Kong was still blinded, the doppelganger charged forth and jumped up to slam its knee into the underside of Kong's jaw, a roar of pain was heard from the ape as he would stumble to the side. Mechani-Kong would come in from behind and deliver an amazing dropkick that connected with a loud pop! Kong would go crashing down into the road with a loud thud!
The primate would roll over but would get met by a vicious punch to the face that rocked him! Mechani-Kong continued the ruthless assault by driving its elbows into the face of the titan and mixing it in with some punches, sending down strike after strike to the massive gorilla!
When the cyborg let off the attack, it rose back up to go for a stomp on the enemy's face, but before it could do such a thing, it was jolted forward by missiles ramming into the small of its back, where the metal plating wasn't covering it!
Mechani-Kong turned around with a roar, sounding more organic than metallic this time around due to some of the cybernetic enhancements falling off its head as the fight went on, rushing towards the HEAVs that had attacked it!
Kong looked up to see the doppelganger charging down the road towards the location of the aircraft that were aiding him in his fight, he knew Jia, one of his only human friends, was within one of them. The eyes of the ape shot forward as he received a telepathic vision, seeing the fear in the eyes of the Iwi child!
Kong frantically clambered back to his feet and rushed at full speed down the road to catch up with Mechani-Kong, the HEAVs all began to fly higher into the skies, rising above the skyscrapers, but it would not matter thanks to the rocket boosters on the cyborg's back!
In a matter of seconds though, Kong had closed the distance and scaled a building right when Mechani-Kong leapt from the ground and began to utilize the thrusters on its back. The primate leapt from the building he had scaled with a defiant roar; the cybernetic doppelganger turned its head to the side and the exposed eye widened with shock as Kong was suddenly there! Meeting in the air with a superman punch that knocked Mechani-Kong down into a building, falling right through it with a massive fireball shooting up from the destroyed structure! It was a sight to behold as both titans collided above the city before crashing back down into the streets below!
Everyone looked worried for several minutes as both large simian beasts were within the flames and smoke, obscured by the dark cloud that had engulfed a few cities blocks as a result of the building being destroyed by a cyborg titan and a real titan falling into it!
Eventually, Kong would come crawling out of the smoke, half of his face soaked in blood as well as his mouth. His matted dark brown fur was singed by the fire and some scorch marks were on his upper body and arms, the cyborg would come out next ever so slowly. Lots of its enhancements were crumbling off now, revealing more and more of the clone Kong underneath. However, most of the left side of the face was still covered up by metallic plating, therefore it still had a mission to destroy Kong and his allies…
Kong was crawling while Mechani-Kong was limping, and it would loom over the primate before releasing a massive curb stomp that would knock the gigantic gorilla out for a moment's notice! The cyborg could tell that the target was not dead, he was still breathing, but he needed to be finished off.
Mechani-Kong turned its head towards the Space Needle and noticed the needle part at the top of the tower, a growl came from the cyborg as it began to march in the direction of the most famous building in Seattle, everyone wondered what it would be using the tower for. It was for nothing good, that much was certain.
"What the hell is that thing doing?" Nathan asked with worry in his voice, the HEAVs taking aim at the cyborg as it used its rocket boosters to fly up towards the top of the Space Needle, all eyes were on the mechanized giant as it reached the top, its iron hands grabbing the spire as it looked upon the city of Seattle.
Mechani-Kong reared its head back to let out a roar, its roar blended in with the cybernetic enhancements and some of the organic roar came out as well. It noticed that several buildings were in flames, smoke was rising high into the skies and close to a large mass of flames and smoke was Kong laying on his back.
"All Delta, open fi- "Captain Gordon was cut short when Mechani-Kong turned its head towards the HEAVs and unleashed his eye lights that blinded the pilots of the HEAVs! The aircraft began to spin out of control, the pilots pulling up to make the anti-gravity vehicles fly upwards just to be on the safe side and to not crash into the ground!
The cyborg turned its attention back towards Kong who was reaching for a large piece of rubble that came from a building that the two had smashed into as they fought, the mechanical giant began to squeeze down on the spire which caused it to glow a violet coloring, sparking with Element X!
The colors flashed from violet to red to bright blue like Godzilla's atomic breath, steam of those same colors began to surround the top of the Space Needle. Everyone that had gotten to safety watched this lightshow in disbelief and so did Kong as he sat up with a bewildered expression, but he remained alert for whatever his enemy could be attempting.
The light shows continued, the colors only getting brighter before slowly morphing into a single color. A burning bright blue color just like Godzilla's atomic ray! A blue beam shot high into the sky with a thunderous boom that emitted a mighty gust of wind that took out smaller buildings in the city like a category five hurricane for around ten seconds, Kong growled in discomfort, it wasn't the wind that was bothering him, it was the intensity of that beam that was being launched from the spire on the Space Needle!
It seemed that Mechani-Kong was somehow channeling the Element X coursing through it, into the spire which overflowed with energy, and it expelled that energy by firing it upwards like a reverse lightning rod.
"I think we need to get the hell out of here…" Nathan said quietly, Captain Gordon would rather be safe than sorry and went ahead with the order. The HEAVs continued to fly upwards to avoid whatever was about to happen.
Kong slowly stood back up to his feet now, glaring at the cyborg that stood on top of the Space Needle, which was several meters away from where the ape stood. The primate still held the large piece of rubble in his hand, ready to use it if he needed to. He could sense something was about to happen that required him to use it, his grip tightened on the rubble chunk…
Then, Mechani-Kong forcefully torn the spire from the top of the tower, great violet sparks came from the base of the needle as the mechanical giant held it like a spear. The needle pulsed and boomed with blue energy as the cyborg would then throw it directly towards its target!
Kong's eyes widened as he then launched the rubble up towards the flying spire, large blue sparks flew off the spire as it rocketed towards him. The spire began to punch through the chunk of rubble that the massive primate had threw towards it, but it couldn't make it all the way through before blowing up in a massive blue blast! Like how Kong's axe could emit a blue blast of energy after being supercharged enough.
The blast knocked Mechani-Kong off the Space Needle and toppled the tower over! The eruption of energy would also send Kong flying near his axe, almost knocking him out. The blast knocked down a few large buildings within the Seattle area, causing catastrophic damage.
The damage had been done to Mechani-Kong as well, the huge surge of energy was also enough to put the cyborg into rest mode. This allowed for a break in the action as all went silent in the state of Washington.
(30 minutes later)
The HEAVs all began to shoot down from the sky to return to the location of the two titans, they noticed that Kong had gotten back up to his feet with his signature axe in hand. A scowl was on the ape's face, he was ready to bring the fight to an end.
"It still isn't over?" Ilene Andrews asked with worry.
"Look there." Nathan replied, all eyes shifted to something moving towards the North from Kong's position, Mechani-Kong was marching towards the primate again.
The mechanical giant pressed two buttons on the makeshift belt that was around the waist, four missiles shot from the belt and began to spiral towards Kong at high speeds.
"That thing is still alive?! How?!" Laura exclaimed furiously, Kong had done a pretty decent job against Mechani-Kong and had been in overall control of the fight until he fell into the burning building with his mechanical doppelganger, but it still seemed that the tide hadn't been turned just yet, it was a stalemate. For now.
"Well as you can see, Kong is still alive." Carson Michaels said as the missiles continued to spiral towards the great ape!
The missiles landed and drilled into his flesh some before bursting like bombs! Blood gushed out from four small holes that had been put into Kong's torso, crimson fluids starting to cover his skin around his abdomen and lower chest!
Kong roared in pain and stumbled back, still having a strong grip on his axe before falling to the ground with a loud thud that shook the Earth! Mechani-Kong surged forward, and the primate knew he would have to act fast before the cyborg took advantage of his injuries. Amid his pain, the ape hurled his axe into Mechani-Kong at full force when he was at point blank, timing it perfectly so the mechanical clone couldn't shift or move out of the way.
The dorsal plate blade of the axe sliced deep into the metallic shoulder of the cyborg, which caused it to move back some, it had cut through the metal and went down to the bone of his foe! The ape bared his teeth with a growl of pain, rubbing the gashes and lacerations on his stomach left behind by the drill missiles before scooting back to put some distance between him and his enemy.
The camera in the left eye of Mechani-Kong began to get fuzzy, an indicator of damage, but there was still no critical damage yet that forced it to retreat. The cyborg slowly stood back up; a mechanical growl of pain came from the half organic half machine titan as its eyes locked onto the target that was now starting to rise back up.
Kong didn't have Godzilla to supercharge his axe, the ape typically saved the axe for dire situations like this. Usually, he wouldn't need it when he fought in the depths of the Hollow Earth or on his island if any rogue titans came from the inner world, but it was better when it was supercharged by an atomic blast. However, Kong wondered if Mechani-Kong could charge the axe like it had done to the spire from the Space Needle…
An idea popped into the intelligent mind of the primate as he hoisted the axe over his head, bringing it down towards the cyborg, it caught the dorsal plate blade as expected. The pressure that the iron hands of the mechanical creation started to cause the axe's blade to glow blue as it did when Godzilla would blast it with his atomic ray when they tag teamed against other titans!
Somewhat of a smirk came to the face of the ape before he delivered a kick to the exposed knee, causing Mechani-Kong to release the axe and step back some. Kong would lift the axe and slash his enemy across the chest! The dorsal plate blade tore through the metal plating, causing massive chunks of it to go falling towards the ground, large sparks were seen flying off as it caused the cyborg to stumble backward.
Kong would hold the axe sideways now, using the spike that stuck out the top of the axe to ram it into the glowing violet orb on the chest plate of the cyborg! When the spike penetrated the protective plexi-glass covering, large violet sparks shot from the X-Accumulator! The left yellow eye of the mechanical plating began to flash, indicating that heavy damage had been done.
CRITICAL DAMAGE! The computer said to itself within the cybernetic plating, Kong would turn his axe like turning a key in a keyhole, causing even more damage to the power source of the cyborg! When the ape ripped his axe upwards, it would accidentally sever the X-Accumulator straight from its socket!
The cyborg fell to the ground with a thud, but it was still moving and fighting. Kong noticed that the X-Accumulator began to shake violently in his hand, having a noise that sounded much like that of Godzilla's atomic ray slowly charging up.
The primate knew that it couldn't be good to just hold it, he would drop his axe right when Mechani-Kong suddenly sprung back up to fight him, the mouth hanging agape as it began to smash its fists into the body of the mighty primate!
"That thing is still fucking alive?!" Captain Gordon screamed furiously, they watched in disbelief as the cyborg was seemingly still going at it, but now it was under the control of the organic brain of the cloned Kong underneath the metal plating that was still on the body!
Mechani-Kong bit at the throat of its enemy, still dead set on taking it out. It was no longer under the influence of what a computer told it to do, but since Kong had been attacking it for the entirety of its existence mostly, it felt the need to fight back!
Kong would take the X-Accumulator and would shove it right into the mouth of the cyborg as it was biting down at his throat, using it as a gag before being kicked away! The X-Accumulator continued to build up with more and more energy. The sounds of the energy charging up growing higher-pitched over time until finally…
***BOOM!***
In a gruesome, horrific display. The X-Accumulator would explode within the mouth of Mechani-Kong, large bloody chunks went flying all over the place as well as mechanical parts and wiring. Fragments of the skull and a few bones were knocked all over the place, including some brain matter as a geyser of blood erupted like a volcano from the large stump of gore where the upper body once sat, the cyborg being blown in half!
The lower body collapsed to the ground, legs still kicking about until finally, they came to a stop. Kong was soaked in blood, oil, and bodily fluids of the Kong Clone. The ape took in a deep breath, it was over. Mechani-Kong had been defeated!
