Chapter 3

Here we are with the epic battle of Issei Hyoudou: the DemiFiend vs the Church of the Fallen but before he goes to challenge them, Issei will gather more ally's and have a battle with a powerful Fiend before facing off against Raynare and her group.

And I decided to do something interesting for the Fiends such as Matador and Hell Driver. Issei can gain some of their abilities when he defeats them and increase their power since I figured the DemiFiend in the game gains power by the Magatama's wouldn't it make sense that he gains power from the Fiends with the menorahs?

It's something to give him more of an edge against his future battles outside of the Night World.

His relationship with the ORC will get better but they will need to learn to trust Issei and be honest with him since Issei isn't the type of guy who likes liars and those who have the power to save others and do nothing to help. Think about it. Rias wouldn't have even cared for Asia if Issei wasn't there. She only wanted Asia's power and to have a powerful Bishop. Same for Xenovia and Rossweiss as well. She took advantage of their emotional state and made them join her seeing as their best option. Annoying if you ask me since it's ironic that the weakest members of the ORC are the original females: Rias, Akeno, and Koneko. While the strongest ones are the subordinates: Issei, Kiba, Xenovia, and Rossweiss. Asia and Gasper don't have much combat use or experience so their not on the list of strongest or weakest. I'd say their in the middle due to their potential as Bishops.

Anyway, enough talking. Let's get fighting!

Kuoh Town. Two Weeks after reuniting with Raynare.

Issei was on the schools rooftop and looked at the city. Specifically, the church that the Fallen used as their base. "Tch! To think that it's already been two freaking weeks and they still haven't done anything. Raynare hasn't made a move yet and there's still Asia to worry about. I haven't seen any of the other Fallen but...I need to be on my guard." Issei said to himself as he felt a small weight on his left shoulder making him look at the his left shoulder to see Pixie look at him well he would've said that it was Pixie until he saw that Pixie was now a new Demon named High Pixie. She had ice blue hair in upward spikes, blue eyes that gazed at him mischievously, and two sets of insect like wings on her back. She was wearing a purple leotard over tight black leggings, which was itself covered by a form fitting armor plate which covered her stomach and breasts and, oddly enough, had studs where her nipples would be. Purple boots covered her feet, while gloves of the same color came up to her upper arms, almost to her shoulders. Crystal earrings hung from her long, pointed ears and another bit of armor covered her neck and a bit of her upper chest.

"Mmm...it's good to see that your well Issei." High Pixie said as Issei ran a finger down her back that made her moan in joy before Hua Po joined in on the massage that the High Pixie was receiving from their shared master. Issei chuckled at the two before he recalled last week that he had spoken with Nekomata about both the Assembly of Niho near Ginza and the Mantra that was located in Ikebukuro.

The Mantra Army was a collection of various lowlife ruffians and thugs under the banner of controlling the Conception Tokyo with a philosophy of "might makes right". The group were initially proved unstable until their leader, Gozu-Tennoh, with his reliable right-hand man, Thor, who gave the army a semblance of order and allowed its ideals to be developed a bit further. The group was based upon the Mantra Headquarters building in Ikebukuro, and maintained a large facility for the absorption of Magatsuhi in Kabukicho. Given their ideals, they were the sworn enemies of the Assembly of Nihilo.

Unlike the Mantra Army who relied on power and strength, The Assembly of Nihilo is a group that places intellect above strength and thus considered their rivals, the Mantra Army, as a mere annoyance in the great scheme of things: while the Mantra Army plots to rule above the chaos of the reconstructed Tokyo, the Assembly's plan is to rewrite reality itself through the power of Kagutsuchi.

Issei was surprised by the explanation of the two organizations before Nekomata revealed that she was a member of the Mantra Army that was sent to look for the Demifeind that defeated Forneus thus named the Hero of Shinjuku. Nekomata apologized for deceiving him but was quickly forgiven since he understood her reasons why she came to him. Issei was also a bit curious about the Mantra Army and pondered what they were like up close so on the day the Dark Hour came, Issei headed to Ikebukuro but had to go through the Ginza Underpass while making a deal with a couple of demons who seemed interested in his power and wanted to aid him.

In the Ginza Underpass and Ginza itself, he found some interesting demons such as Apsaras, Angel, Eligor, and Forneus. He was amazed there were so many different versions of demons in the Assembly of Nihilo and happy he was able to gain many ally's until he found a place called the Cathedral of Shadows. Apparently, it's a place where he would be able to fuse two demons to create a new one. He was told however that there was a risk of an additional demon that had to be sacrificed for some.

Issei was nervous about this until Dagda explained that the demons he sacrificed would not be offended but happy to help their partner in any way so he did a few fusions before he ended up with a few valuable comrades such as Take-Minakata, Ame no Uzume, and Sarasvati. Issei still felt the bond that he had with his former demons with these new ones which made him happy that they were still with him. In a way that is.

After...'borrowing' the Yen bill from Loki's room at the tavern that was in Ginza and giving it to Manikin who's known as a Collector. Apparently the Manikin were blocking the way out of the Underpass of Ginza and the only way through was if we got a Yen Bill. Of course they did have to deal with a goat demon but it wasn't that big of a deal once Ddraig backed us up. Speaking of Ddraig, the Dragon was finally able to wake up and after speaking to Dagda, he was surprised of Issei's condition and the new world they entered but he couldn't exactly argue with results if it got the job done.

Issei was able to make his way to Ikebukuro with Nekomata and the Mantra Army and if he was being honest...he was having fun fighting the Oni's and other demons that resided in the army.

Issei was actually able to get a few more demons such as Oni, Pyro Jack who was actually a brother to Jack Frost, Taraka, Inugami, Bicorn, Momunofu, Badb Catha, Koppa Tengu, Dis, and Mizuchi.

Apparently many of the Demons of the Mantra Army heard of him and wanted him on their army so after many challenges, Issei was not only able to gain many ally's but this also became a problem since Thor requested that Issei prove his innocence in court. Nekomata patted his back and followed him to the holding cell before she explained the situation they were in.

"You see the Mantra Army has Thor as the Judge of the court and prove yourself worthy with a battle between three Demons. The first one is weak to Ice attacks and absorbs fire. Second one is weak to electricity while the last one is Thor and trust me when I say he's no joke. You'll need a lot of power to get defeat him. Trust me. There's a reason he's known as the right hand man of the Mantra Army." Nekomata explained as Issei nodded and began to ponder what kind of demons he'll use against the first two. "Since the first one is weak against Ice, I'll need to use Jack Frost and Forneus to deal with him. As for the second one, I'll need High Pixie and Mizuchi to face them. As for Thor...he'll use lightning so I can keep Mizuchi to absorb it." Issei said to himself before he heard the cell being hit by a massive club.

"Hey! Nekomata! Get him out here! Thor's waiting for him." An Oni said as he waited for the two until Nekomata and Issei appeared from the cell and made their way to the court which was rather large which made sense for them since they fight to prove their 'innocence' in this army. He looked to see Thor emerge from the door at the stand which made Issei amazed by the God of Thunder.

"Wow. Someone definitely works out." Issei whistled as Nekomata giggled at this before Thor pointed his hammer to Issei. "Issei Hyoudou. You are charged with loitering in Ikebukuro, challenging many demons, and forcing them into contracts. On top of that you may be a spy from Nihilo so in order to prove your innocence you must face three judges in the ring and only if you succeed, will you prove yourself innocent. Do you accept these terms and are you prepared for the first one?" Thor asked as he looked at Issei who nodded as he summoned the Boosted Gear. His marks and eyes glowed crimson as he smiled at the idea of a fight.

"Let's have some fun." Issei said as he prepared for the first opponent while Nekomata got ready with her claws until she also saw Jack Frost and Forneus appear next to them. Thor roared as the first judge, an Orthrus, as it roared at Issei before the four heard the gong ring in the room.

"START!" Thor shouted as Issei and the others dodged the pounce from the beast before Issei breathed deeply before blasting a cold breeze at the dog which made it wince in pain from the cold before its paws became frozen to the floor which made it growl at him. Orthrus growled at him before blasting an Agilao at him. Issei braced himself for the attack until a spirit emerged from him and took the fire attack head on.

"Mmm...So warm and toasty." Pyro Jack said as he consumed the attack which surprised Issei before it chuckled at him. "Hey, don't worry. Nekomata said you would need me so she swapped with me. Your friend Dagda and the Dragon did it for you." Pyro said which surprised Issei again since he didn't know Ddraig could do that. This made him smile at the gauntlet as he was thankful for the assist but focused on the match.

"Jack! Forneus! Both of you focus on using only attacking. Pyro and I will take the attacks he sends your way." Issei said as he blew a powerful blast of Fog Breath to Orthrus and this made its accuracy and agility drop. The dog growled at him but was being bombarded by multiple ice attacks from Jack Frost and Forneus until Issei got called them off as he approached Orthrus. The dog whimpered a bit as he held out a hand to them before putting a hand on its head which surprised the dog like demon as Issei gently rubbed the beasts head.

"Your beaten Orthrus. Surrender and accept your defeat or we can discuss this like demons. I can forge a contract with you and help you grow even stronger. If you want to become stronger that is." Issei said as Orthrus looked at him shocked before it placed its head into the palm of his hand which told Issei all he need to know. "Alright. Welcome to the group my friend." Orthrus smiled as he was contracted as one of his demons now before Issei thanked Jack Frost, Pyro Jack, and Forenus for their help before he summoned three new Demons to aid him.

"Let's go. Calling Nekomata, High Pixie, and Mizuchi! Come on!" Issei said as he summoned the three spirits who were ready to rumble as the next Judge appeared. She was a purple skinned Amazon as she wielded a pair of swords that made her look like a true warrior. "I must admit, that was an excellent choice to make a contract with Orthrus instead of just killing him. I hope you can entertain me just as much as him. I am Yaksini! The second judge, now let's fight." She said as she smiled at him before the gong was hit which made her speed towards them as she yelled. "Mazanma!"

A powerful force attack was sent towards Issei and co. Issei and Nekomata smiled as they didn't mind the attack but Mizuchi and High Pixie took some damage but not a lot due to them dodging most of the attack at the last second. Yaksini was shocked at this before he dodged a powerful Lunge from him but was scratched by Nekomata multiple times which made her wince in pain before she was bombarded with multiple electric attacks from both Mizuchi and High Pixie with a combination of Zio and Bufula. Yaksini tried to use more of its Force attacks on them but it didn't matter since Nekomata was absorbing them, Issei was safe from them, and even if the other two were hurt by the attacks they could heal themselves.

Yaksini was panting a few minutes later as she felt her magic depleted and the injuries she's taken from all of the attacks before she put her swords away. "Wait!" Issei and the others stopped as Yaksini then prostrated herself to him which shocked Issei since he knew from Dagda and Ddraig that it means they accept their fate. He went to Yaksini and placed a hand on her head. "Yaksini. Let's form a contract."

This made Yaksini smile as she accepted the deal and became his new demon until Thor leaped into the arena and roared a mighty War Cry that made a powerful blast of air. Issei and the others groaned at this before Issei got up to see the Thunder God lift his mighty hammer into the air as electricity gathered all around him.

"Face the might of the Thunder Emperor! Now! Mazionga!" Thor shouted as Issei was scared as he looked at Nekomata and the lightning heading towards her before returning to reality as he sped right to her. "Nekomata! Get out of the way!" Issei yelled as Nekomata looked at him shocked before he pushed her out the way as he then took the attack for her until Thor yelled as he threw his Mijonir to strike Issei as he was sent to the wall which made him yell in pain.

Nekomata, High Pixie, and Mizuchi were shocked at this before they began to release all of their non electrical attacks on Thor to avenge Issei. "Feral Claw!" "Wing Buffet!" "Bufula!" Thor braced himself for the attacks as Issei was trying to push the hammer off of him but couldn't due to the spell on the hammer.

"Only those worthy may lift or move the hammer. That's the legend of Mijonir." Issei said as he continued to Boost himself but as he looked at the trio fighting for him, it made Issei thankful for having loyal comrades and teammates. "Their putting their lives on the line for me." Issei said as he clenched his left fist before his body began to increase in strength and power.

"Come on...Come on...Work with me..." Issei said to himself as he didn't notice the other two Magatama's that he bought before in the Ginza Underpass. Issei's eyes became green as he felt the two Magatama's react to his power as they entered his chest.

Dagda felt his Magatama Core react to the Boosted Gear's power before he saw the other Magatama's become stronger. [Is the Magatama that made Issei a DemiFiend evolving?] Dagda asked Ddraig as the core began to beat like his heart before Issei growled more but was able to move Mijonir a bit as the massive power flow happened to envelop the area which made the demons stop as they looked to see Mijonir being pushed off of the area that Issei was pinned down before they heard a yell that was heard outside of the Mantra Headquarters.

"Balance Breaker!!"

A crimson light enveloped the spot as Thor called back his weapon before Issei's body began to change as his core glowed brightly until his markings glowed brighter as his firm began to transform into a new form of armor. As he emerged from the crimson pillar of light, he looked like a new person as his hair was now long that it reached the middle of his back. His new form of armor was similar to a bodysuit that hugged him but still had his markings on them. His feet had some skate like attachments while his right hand formed an energy blade of sorts which made him look at Thor before he clenched his left fist with the Boosted Gear as it also transformed with him to appear more like a boxers gauntlet that wasn't big and bulky like before. This one suited his style of fighting using both speed and power.

Issei's eyes were green as he formed his energy sword and yelled as he vanished for a moment and sliced Thor with his sword which made him yell in pain. The demons with him were surprised by this before Issei's sword became green and red as he held it up to the air. The energy began to leave it and expand in size and form before Issei lowered it like he was using a sword.

"Dragon's Claw."

The sword fell as the attack went straight to Thor as he was enveloped by the attack before Issei panted a bit from the excess power he just used. His armor vanished as he fell backwards into the arms of Nekomata, who was healed up by High Pixie. She brushed his hair aside and giggled at him. "Your new armor is amazing. Just rest right now. You've earned it Issei. You won." Issei slowly put a hand her cheek and thanked her before closing his eye which made Nekomata smile at him until she saw Thor emerge from the rubble looking refreshed as he walked to the duo as Mizuchi and High Pixie left them as Thor stopped at the two. He then looked down at Issei before nodding. "He's earned my respect and has shown he is innocent. I'd like to grant him a special gift." Thor said as he placed an item on Issei's chest before Thor stood up and picked up Issei. "Come Nekomata. I believe we should discuss a proposal our Lord had in mind for him." Thor explained to her as they left the room with her partner and potential lover.

"Issei Hyoudou. You truly are one terrifying DemiFiend. One I will gladly follow." Nekomata said as she smiled at the idea of staying at his side.

About two hours later, Issei groaned in pain as he woke up and saw that he was in a very different room. The room was fancy as he slowly sat up to see Thor and Nekomata drinking some wine before Thor saw him. "Ah. Your awake now. That's good. Come and get some food. You should be hungry after that battle." Thor asked as he gestured for the boy to come close to the table. He did so as Thor was across from his seat at the table.

"Now then. First off I would like to congratulate you by saying you are innocent. You have proven yourself to not be a spy of the Nihilo. Before I move on to the next matter at hand I wish to give you a gift as proof of you defeating me in battle." Thor said as he placed a Magatama that shocked Issei as he picked it up and saw it fuse with his body.

Issei then displayed his Codex and looked at his new skills and was shocked to see them.

Issei was shocked that some of his skills changed as Dagda explained that some of his abilities can change and evolve as he becomes stronger before looking at Thor who patiently waited for him. "Now on to the second matter at hand. Issei Hyoudou. I want you to join the Mantra Army as well as the second in command."

Issei and Nekomata were shocked at this as Thor explained his reasons. "The army could use a powerful ally such as yourself as a second in command so should anything happen to me or our leader then the Mantra Army will fall upon your shoulders. I've seen many of them respect you after defeating them in battle and the demons who aid you truly trust you and in return you trust them. So I'll ask you once more. Will you join us? We can offer you resources and strength as well as help you learn to control your abilities." Thor finished his explanation as Issei looked at the Boosted Gear and then felt the Magatama pulse softly before Issei thought about how this would help him in the long run.

After what felt like an hour Issei nodded as he shook the hand Thor extended. "I accept the offer, Thor." Nekomata and Thor smiled as the Thunder God nodded in thanks. "Wonderful. Now before you officially become the Second in Command you'll need to complete a task. It's a Fiend that's been causing trouble for us." Thor said as he went to a table and pulled out a picture of a monk of sorts that had a small bell in his skeletal hands. He was garbed in royal monk like attire and sitting as if he was awaiting others to come before him.

"The Candelabra are flames of life that control the flow of Magatsuhi within the Labyrinth of Amala. Unfortunately , they were stolen by terrible Fiends. You have already faced Matador and he had the Menorah of Foundation. After you defeated him and gained the Menorah you also gained some of his powers. The more Menorahs you gather the more power you'll be able to receive from them as well as other abilities from the Fiends you slaughter that have them. One of them is located in the outskirts of Ikebukuro. He's difficult to find due to the Menorah that allows him to teleport to the Labyrinth of Amala. We cannot reach there but since you have two Menorahs I would like to ask you to deal with Daidouji. He's a powerful spell caster but I believe with your power and demons you'll be able to find him and defeat him." Thor said which made Issei smile as he wanted to personally see if there were more of those Menorah's. Dagda had explained that the Menorah he obtained from Matador gave him some power which allowed him to increase his abilities but for some reason he was unable to unlock it.

Ddraig said that it could be due to his state of being or weapons choice since Matador relied on using a sword to give it a speed advantage over his foes. Issei was still a bit tired from the Balance Breaker he had unlocked from the battle with the judges before the Magatama's reenergized him.

Nekomata and Issei then left the Mantra base as they went to the outskirts of Ikebukuro. "Are you sure you want to do this now? You can still rest since it looked like you were still tired from the battle with Thor." Nekomata asked concerned about her master before Issei rubbed her head lovingly with a smile on his face.

"I'm fine Nekomata. The Magatama Thor gave me helped a lot in regaining my strength. The reset from the Boosted Gear is a pain in the ass but it's helpful since it allows me to see how strong I am and how many Boosts I can use. While I was asleep, Ddraig and Dagda told me that I can use some of Matador's abilities but the reason I can't use them is because Matador is a swordsman and his skills are based off of his swordsmanship. So until I can gain a sword, I can only use Red Capote and Mazan. The first can greatly help my speed while Mazan is a good Force attack to use. Now as for Daidouji, he's a bit tricky since he's a Caster and a Monk which means he'll probably have spells similar to Angel and some status spells to take care of our heavy hitters. So we need to lower his defense and his speed so we can deal a massive blow that should take him out." Issei explained which left Nekomata amazed at her masters planning skills before the duo walked down the path that led out of the city before a dark presence made itself known to them both as Nekomata went back into Issei as he felt the invitation.

"Okay then. Let's do this." He said as he was transported to the same world he faced Matador before he landed on all fours again before he stood up to see nobody was around until he heard a small bell ring in the area.

"It is my duty to save those who have gone astray... Let me be your guide. Receive my salvation... Accept your death!" A low but loud raspy voice was heard in the area as Issei looked for it until he felt his body move away from a skeletal hand that was reaching out to him in the spot he was in before until he looked to see a figure floating in his old spot.

"So your Daidouji. One of the Fiends who stole the Menorah of Eternity. I've come to kill you and take it back." Issei said as he prepared to attack him until he heard the sound of motorcycle approach the two of them as a knock off version of Ghost Rider appeared before them as he reeved his bike.

"Don't get cocky kid. We're going from one side of Hell to the other, you know. You may have defeated Matador but we're going to crush you and show you what real strength is." Hell Rider said as he charged towards them which made Issei put some distance between the two Fiends. "Damn. This is not going to be easy."

[Indeed. The biker can be tricky due to his bike that's most likely his weapon while the monk will use spells from afar to aid him. I suggest you deal with Daidouji first before the biker.] Ddraig suggested that was agreed with Dagda before Issei began to use Fog Breath on them both to deter their accuracy and speed until he managed to get to Daidouji and use a spell he was working on. "TaSuRaunda!" He shouted as a massive black force enveloped the monk as Issei sent a left hook into the monks side that made him yell in pain as he backed away from Issei.

"How dare you! I offer you salvation and you refuse it. Die in the name of the Lord!" Daidouji yelled as he fired a Holy spell that made Issei scared as he felt his whole body move and it was thanks to the Boosts he dodged it before getting hit by the Hell Spin from Hell Biker.

"Pay attention to both of us!" Hell Biker yelled as Issei rolled back a bit before he stood up to see Daidouji muttering words to himself until he saw dark magic leave his body and rush towards him. 'That's Deadtouch!' Issei yelled internally as he dodged the attack before barely dodging the Hell Burner.

[Issei! Call your Demons!] 'I can't. If I do then Daidouji will just use those Death spells on them and take them out. I need to wait until Daidouji is out of the way but as long as Hell Biker is in our way we can't finish him. If I can get close and use my spell once more and then release a Dragon Shot into Daidouji, that should be enough to finish him.' Issei said internally to Ddraig as he kept dodging Hell Riders attacks and Daidouji's spells.

Issei was using his Boosts and Fog Breath to mess with their accuracy but Hell Rider was still a menace but Issei did notice something about Hell Riders bike. 'His bike. If it's destroyed then...That's it!' Issei said to himself as he kept dodging the bike before he smiled to himself. "This it it."

Issei got behind Hell Biker thanks to his enhanced speed before he took a deep breath and blasted Ice Breath on the buffers of the motorcycle. The boosts greatly helped his magic as they froze over which made Hell Biker shocked as he tried to start his bike.

That's when Issei took the chance. He ran straight to Daidouji which made the Fiendish Monk frightened as he fired his spells Mahamaon and Mamudoon at Issei but he kept missing as Issei got closer to him.

"Grr...You despicable Fiend! Die and Repent for your sins!" Daidouji yelled as he fired many more spells at him. Issei leaped into the air as he then used a Tornado to blow him towards Daidouji without feeling the Menorah react to his attack. Issei's eyes for a moment saw Matador as he held his sword out at an enemy and unleashed a powerful dark move. His sword hand became the same dark energy as Issei flew at Daidouji and just as he slashed, his sword became black.

"Dark Slash!!"

"AHHHHHHH!!!"

Daidouji yelled in pain as he felt the sword slash through his body before he fell to the ground on his hands and knees. Daidouji's bell fell out of his hands while Issei stared at him before he went to the bell and picked it up. Daidouji coughed out more blood as he looked up at Issei and asked.

"Why? Why did you stop me? My duty to save those who have gone astray. Let me be your guide. I can save you from this fate that has fallen upon your soul. You've lost your Humanity and yet you still fight me. Why?" Daidouji asked concerned as to why a human did not seek his help or guidance.

Issei looked at the bell and then Daidouji before replying. "I choose my own path. I do wish to regain my humanity but...I must be the one to forge my own path. I will not say I have all the answers or know what I'm doing but I have comrades who can help me achieve my dream and still protect those I love. Daidouji. I can understand why you wish to help humans but...there are no humans here to save. I looked up your past and learned why you were so adamant with wanting to save me." Issei said as he pulled out a book and read a passage. "A monk who died while fasting for the sake of people. Because of his spiritual power, his body continues to exist without rotting. It is said that he will appear in front of people on the day of salvation. Daisoujou is also a title given to a highly virtuous monk who has attained Buddhahood during his lifetime. Among those named as Daisoujou is the founder of Shingon Buddhism, Kuukai. I understand somewhat why you wanted to save me but...you can't. You can't save me for this is what happened to me. I was killed and turned into a DemiFiend but I won't let that stop me from trying to regain my humanity. I do hope that one day I will regain my humanity but..."

Issei looked at the Boosted Gear and smiled as he saw his reflection in the gem. "But I still wish to have this power to save those I love. You would do the same wouldn't you?" He asked the monk as Daidouji looked at him with his hollow eyes before he lifted a hand and touched the boys cheek while looking in his eyes.

'Now I see. This boy...He's become a DemiFiend and lost his humanity but despite all that he lost he still hasn't given up his mentality to become a monster obsessed with power. I've seen others like him and they all give into their own desires which had led them to their deaths. However...Issei Hyoudou...this boy has still kept his morals and has decided to better himself while learning more about his power. A honest and noble soul. A soul of light in this dark world. Maybe...maybe he's the one who can gain both the light and dark.' Daidouji said to himself as he released a sigh as he pulled something out of his chest before handing it to Issei.

"Take it Issei Hyoudou. This is the Menorah of Eternity. Take this book and use my power to make your dream...Become a reality." Daidouji said to him as Issei took the Menorah and bowed his head in thanks to the monk before Daidouji became light as he vanished from existence and all that was left in his place was his bell and garments.

Issei turned to see Hell Rider approach him but walking next to his bike before seeing Daidouji's attire on the ground. "So...the old man is really gone. Damn. I'm grateful he can finally Rest In Peace but..." Hell Rider said as he clenched his helmet in his right arm before looking at Issei. "You know I actually knew the guy when I was still alive. Back when I was human." He said to Issei which surprised him before he felt another menorah placed on top of the first one he had.

"That's the third Menorah. The Menorah of Dignity. I owed the old monk a solid for saving my life back when I was alive and in a bad spot but after dying and reuniting with him, I figured I'd return the favor of him helping me. So I did what I could. I stole the Menorahs for him and gave one to him. At first we were trying to help some souls that were around here but after hearing about a Hero that saved the many souls in Shinjuku at the hospital, Daidouji wanted to find him and thank the one for saving them. After he saw you he wanted to know what kind of person you were so that's the reason he challenged you. Giving you the book and defeating him had helped the old man Rest In Peace. Well looks like it's my turn to join him." Hell Rider said as he put the helmet on Issei's head and put the leather jacket on his shoulders.

"Here. This bike is yours now. Treat her well and she'll help you out whenever you call her. Trust me. That girl is a beauty." He said to him before becoming light as he vanished from existence as well.

Issei looked at the Menorah's and then absorbed them into his body before he saw the clothes and bell vanish as well as the bike and helmet but for some reason he still felt them within his heart.

[Do not worry Issei. The items they left are within the Menorah's. Whenever you call upon their power, you can don on their attire and use their power. I'm so proud of how you handed the two of them. You truly have become stronger and have gained more strength than you thought possible. I respect that my partner. Now let's go report back to Thor.] Dagda said to Issei as he went back to Ikebukuro and explained what happened to Thor, who was proud that Issei was able to stop Daidouji and Hell Rider, but as he woke up back home Issei couldn't help but ponder that if the other Fiends who have the Menorahs were like Daidouji and Hell Rider, or if they were like Matador.

Issei then spent the next week after becoming the Mantra Army's second in command training with Thor and learning more about the Demons he has and how to use them in combat. Issei enjoyed training with Thor so much he wanted to know if there was a way to come to the world without waiting for the Full Moon. To his joy, Thor explained that there was a way for him to return. Since he had a Menorah, Issei could teleport back here with the Codex to help him target where he wishes to go however it only worked with places he's already been to which made sense to Issei.

After those two weeks, Issei was still friends with Matsuda and Motohama but never took part in their excursions which made the girls still wary of him thinking it was an act but he didn't care what they said to him since it didn't matter to him in the slightest. Issei had his own issues that he had to deal with and the Devils of the ORC weren't making it easy since Rias was persistent in trying to get him to meet with her after school but he didn't want to spend one second in the room as her after learning the truth.

Akeno, Kiba, and Koneko tried to help him understand her situation but they couldn't give him all of the details besides the few things he was able to pick up from their chats. But back to the story at hand.

Issei heard the bell ring and smiled as he looked at Hua Po and High Pixie vanishing before Nekomata smiled at him and purred as she rubbed her head against his neck while he petted her head on a reflex. Issei had come to enjoy the many Demons he had gained and actually gave some of them names to tell them apart from the others in the Dark World.

"Okay Neko-Chan. I have to go now." Issei said as he stopped his petting which made Nekomata pout at the loss of his warmth but understood his reasons before she went back into the Boosted Gear. Issei smiled at this but just as he was about to leave he felt a familiar presence approach the school.

Issei looked up to see that it was a Fallen Angel flying to the school but had a wing damaged severely which made her flying wobbly. It got closer before the Fallen flew towards the roof but was caught by Issei before the Angel with the ground. He set her down next to the AC unit which made her wince in pain before Issei recognized her.

"Raynare?! What are you doing here? You know this is a Devils territory right? Why come here?" Issei asked as he put a hand on her body and used Dia to heal her injuries which worked on her body but her wing was taking longer due to it being broken.

Raynare used her newfound strength to pull herself up on her feet before she fell in his arms as she growled with anger. "Issei...Please...Help me. Help me save her." Raynare said to him before she collapsed in his arms which scared Issei before feeling her breathing steady as Ddraig calmed him down. {She's fine Partner. She just needs some rest. Her natural healing should help her wing but the damage done to her took a toll on her body. Let her rest.}Issei nodded as he looked in the direction of the church before growling at himself. "Dammit." Issei said to himself as he got up and headed to the old school building while cursing at himself for doing this.

Rias was studying in her classroom until she heard the door was slid open which made her look up and gasp as she saw Issei standing there before he met her blue green eyes. The teacher and her classmates were surprised by this until Issei looked at the teacher.

"Apologies but it's an emergency concerning Yuuto Kiba. He asked me to fetch Rias Gremory and bring her to the clubroom." Issei explained before walking to Rias and taking the book out of her hands and putting it in her bag before closing it and grabbing Rias by the back of her shirt.

"Wait huh? What?" Rias said dumbfounded as Issei dragged her out of the classroom before handing a paper to the teacher. The teacher looked it over and nodded. "Okay but no funny business." He said sternly which Issei nodded in reply. "Promise it won't take long."

Issei the dragged her out of the classroom before sighing to himself as he opened a portal in a empty classroom. "Let's go." He said to Rias before tossing her through the portal as she screamed in fright until Issei walked through and ended up in the clubroom while walking to the chair behind the desk.

"Don't mind me. I'm just going to sit here." Issei said to her as Rias sat up while rubbing her ass as Issei sat down in the chair. "Don't talk. Just listen. This will only take a couple of minutes." Issei ordered her which made Rias shiver in shock as she never heard such a commanding tone from anyone other than her family or the Maou's. She did as he said before pointing to the Fallen eating some of the cookies on the other side of the room on the couch.

"Issei. Please explain why there's a Fallen, in my clubroom, eating the cookies, and sipping the tea." Rias said as she glared at the Fallen while making a mental note to clean the tea kettle and table before Raynare glared back at her which made Issei sigh at their childish argument.

"Look. We don't have a lot of time so I'll make this short. Raynare needs help. Her comrades Kalawarner and Dohnaseek have been killed by a Devil that joined forces with Freed and the other rogue exorcists. This Devil is apparently apart of the New Maou Faction so I thought you'd be interested in it before we go there. Raynare said this Devil brought his peerage and overwhelmed them with their numbers and power. Kalawarner and Dohnaseek died taking out a few of them before the Devil and Freed killed them. Mittlet escaped with Raynare but the two had to separate from each other while being chased by the Devils. Raynare managed to escape but barely made it out alive. After escaping, she knew she needed help and came to the school hoping to find me, which she managed to do and so after she woke up from me healing her and explained the situation she was in I promised her I would help Raynare deal with Freed and this Devil." Issei said to Rias who was listening intently while making subtle looks at Raynare, who was rubbing her injured wing as if she was trying to help it.

"So why come to me?" Rias asked which made Issei sigh as he massaged his nose before looking at her. "I'll make a deal with you Rias. If you allow Raynare to stay here for the day until nightfall then I'll owe you one. I don't intend to join your peerage but I'll help you out once. However no harm will fall upon Raynare. She's injured and can't fight back, and if I hear you tried to reincarnate her into a member of your peerage." Issei said as he then vanished before appearing behind her with a sword at her throat.

"I'll personally give you a haircut before killing you."

This made Rias wince in fear as she grabbed her hair before seeing the sword removed from her throat. Rias then coughed into her fist and nodded. "Then I promise you Issei that no harm will befall upon her."

Issei smiled as he was happy with the arrangement before he opened a portal and grabbed Rias by the back of her shirt. "Good. That concludes our business. Go back to class." He said to her which made Rias shout back in response but he didn't hear her as the ports closed. After wiping his hands clean of dirt on them he turned around to see Raynare bow her head to him.

"Thank you Issei. Heh. This is the second time you saved me and yet all I've done is nothing but cause you trouble." Raynare said ashamed of her actions before she felt a pat on her head as Issei looked at her. "It's fine Raynare. Like I said before. I accepted your apology but I won't forgive you for what you've done to me. What's happened in the past can't be changed so now we need to move on. Now then..." Issei said as he laid out a large diagram of the church that he 'borrowed' from Rias's desk.

"What can you tell me about the church and how we can save Asia while we kick some exorcist and Devil ass?"

This made Raynare smile as she looked forward to come revenge.

"Well they say Revenge is best served cold. So here's what I know..."

Kuoh Town's Abandoned Church.

Issei and Raynare were at the church seeing the exorcists that were guarding the entrance from the edge of the church grounds. Raynare's wings were healed and she was ready to get some much deserved revenge as she looked at the entrance. "Okay. There's two ways in. One way is the front door but there's also the back entrance that leads to the underground facility where we have the Sacred Gear Extraction device. Originally we were going to use it on Asia but we learned that the device isn't perfect so when the Sacred Gear is extracted the original user dies after the ritual. If the exorcists are guarding the front then that means the Devils peerage and Freed are inside the church. There are three floors. The top, middle, and basement." Raynare explained as she looked through the binoculars that Issei lent to her so she could see ahead without using magic.

Issei looked at the map of the church before planning out their best course of action. "Okay. Obviously we can't let the exorcists or anyone of them escape so we'll kill them. We'll be splitting into two teams. The first will charge the front and take out the exorcists at the front while the team I lead will deal with the back. We'll have to meet in the center which means Freed and the Devils Peerage will be standing in the way of us reaching the basement where the device is."

Issei said before tapping his gauntlet and summoning High Pixie, Hua Po, Nekomata, Take-Minakata, Angel, Eligor, Oni, Pyro Jack, Taraka, Jack Frost, Bicorn, Momunofu, Yaksini, Orthrus. The demons appeared as they were aware of the plan due to the contract. Granted some of them weren't exactly happy to be working with the same Fallen who killed Issei but after explaining the situation to them they, reluctantly, agreed to work with the Fallen which made Raynare both relieved but nervous from the demons. Especially High Pixie, Angel, and Nekomata.

Issei went ahead and separated the two groups before Raynare and her group headed the front of the church.

"Okay then. Care to knock Oni?" Raynare asked the red Oni as it smiled and raised its spiked club before slamming it into the ground. "Earth Shaker!" Oni yelled as the exorcists fell on their asses and were alarmed by the large roar until Raynare came out and appeared behind one of them before summoning a spear and stabbing their head in the back of the skull. As the exorcist fell Raynare let out a loud whistle that alerted the demons in her group to advance. The other exorcists were shocked to see many demons emerge from the hill and attack the exorcists. Eligor charged at the on his steed and stabbed them with his spear while Pyro and Frost were using both fire and ice to kill their opponents while Yaksini rode Bicorn and sliced through the exorcists with her swords while her ride bashed them with its skull.

After the exorcists were dealt with Raynare and her group we're about to advance until nine figures emerged from the church. The leader of the group made Raynare hiss and growl at the one who tried to kill her. "Well. Well. If it isn't the ugly exorcist who's face I rearranged last time we fought." She said to Freed as the exorcists scoffed at her. "Heh. Cute but let's say I got a little upgrade thanks to the Knights I killed. They were quite delicious." Freed said as his body released power before Angel flew in front of her. "Fallen Angel. I sense your hatred for him but you are needed with my Master. Go to him and aid him in he church. I shall deal with this Demonic Exorcist."

Raynare wanted to say otherwise until Momunofu put his spear in front of her. "Do not worry. We will deal with him. There's no time to argue. Go now Raynare." The warrior said to her as Raynare looked down before she nodded and ran past Freed, who surprisingly let her inside, as he looked at the two while the Pawns were fighting the others.

Freed took out his sword and gun before smiling sadistically at them both. "So an Angel and a Samurai huh? I can't wait to fuck the Angel after I kill you." This comment made the two demons annoyed at this pathetic human before they charged at him to send him straight to hell

Meanwhile with Issei

High Pixie, Hua Po, Nekomata, Orthrus, Take-Minakata, and Taraka were with Issei as they took care of the two Rooks and the two Bishops who were a lot stronger than Issei gave them credit for until he and his group knocked the last one out before looking at the Queen who was keeping the shield on their side of the church shut tight before Issei began to boost himself a few times while concentrating on the flow of his power.

"Listen to me. Surrender and I won't kill you. Why serve a King who merely tosses you aside as if you mean nothing to him? Your really going to risk your life for a man who basically brainwashed you?" Issei asked as he prepared himself while the Queen looked down and replied. "You'll never understand the pain I went through at that church. I was a high ranking exorcist and saved many lives while stopping Stray Devils from killing innocent lives. I gave my heart, my soul, my very existence to them but...but it was all for naught since they threw me to the side like I was garbage." The Queen said as she recalled the times she was an exorcist at the church until she was told that she was being kicked out by the person she looked up to the most.

Her eyes were broken as she collapsed on the ground and cried tears of sadness before the image changed to her trying to find work until she met him.

"I was seen as weak after Jeanne, Siegfried, Lint, and those incompetent brats were seen as special people. The church only looked for those who had power and put them on a high pedestal while the rest of us who had to work out ass off were tossed aside and seen as just weaklings. Old news. We dedicated our lives to the church and how to they repay our service? They kick us out and give our old positions to our replacements just because their more special than we are. The girl, Asia Argento, was one of them. I still remember when she was adopted by the church when she was a baby. I watched her grow into the Holy Maiden that was nothing more than a puppet to the church who basically controlled her life and basically tried to brainwash her as well into obeying their orders alone."

"However one day when she healed a Devil, she was kicked out of the church and left with nothing. Ironic isn't it? The Holy Maiden that did everything that she was told for years but just one little slip up and she's tossed aside. Heh. How tragic is that. My King, Diadora Astaroth, was the same Devil that she had healed that time. Truthfully I care for Asia but...there's very little I can do. I have decided that if I'll die then I'll die in battle as Diadora's Queen. I am aware of what he's done to me and the others but I will follow him to have some sort of fulfillment in my life. I chose this path and I will see it to the end!" The Queen yelled as she released the barrier and created her most powerful spell before firing it at Issei, who was quiet the whole time before he looked at the attack and charged at her.

"I can't understand the pain you've been through or the sadness you felt for being alone and abandoned but I can see the bonds you shared with them." Issei said as he remembered the Bishops and Rooks defending each other and the Queen as Issei's left arm exploded with power until he yelled.

"Dragon Shot!"

[Explosion!]

He released the crimson orb at the attack which blasted right through it before the Queen grunted as the attack went right through her chest until she coughed up blood and bile as she fell backwards onto the stone floor.

Issei put the Boosted Gear away as he walked to the Queen and looked at her peaceful face before he sighed and punched the wall. "Dammit. I know I've killed Demons before but...this...this is..." Issei wanted to cry in sadness, but his body would still not allow him to cry. Issei could still feel it within his heart but his body wouldn't let him show it. He was frustrated at this before Nekomata hugged him from behind. "Shh...Master. We can feel your sadness so even if you can't cry or show sadness we can do it for you." She said as she truly felt his sadness and wanted to help him as much as she could.

Issei sighed at this before hugging her back. "I thank you Neko-Chan but right now we have more important business to deal with." Issei said as he looked at the church and summoned his Sacred Gear once more as he and his group went into the church preparing to face the boss of this church.

Raynare charged through the door before she saw Issei bash in the other door before greeting each other. "Issei. Glad to see your alive." "Likewise." The two looked down the hall to see the flight of stairs going to the basement before Issei went in front and led the group to the basement until they saw a handsome young man with dark green hair and wore expensive clothing. He also has golden eyes while his eyes were squinted. His smile looked sincere but Issei could tell that he wasn't a very good person due to the Devils soul being black as the night.

"So your the guy in charge? What's your name?" Issei asked which made the Devil scoff at him. "Personally, I don't like to tell the trash who I am but I'm feeling generous today so I'll introduce myself. My name is Diadora Astaroth. It's a pleasure to meet you in the flesh DemiFiend. I heard about you from Freed and I must say I'm very disappointed that my peerage and those pathetic exorcists fell so easily to your little army. Guess if you want something done right you have to do it yourself. Oh and don't worry about Asia Argento. I already extracted her Sacred Gear and gave it to myself. Truly an amazing Sacred Gear this is. The power to heal any wound on any species and the Balance Breaker that supposedly can resurrect the dead. I personally thanked Asia for the gift by making her feel so much pleasure that the poor girl broke after I had my fun with her." Diadora said as Issei kept his cool but after hearing what he did to her and killing her.

The gloves came off.

"You Bastard!" Issei yelled as he slammed a fist into Diadora and sent him into the device that was surprisingly still intact from the hit as Diadora got up and shrugged it off as his wounds began to heal.

"Don't you get it you loathsome DemiFiend? It doesn't matter how many times you attack or hit me. Twilight Healing combined with my power grants me regeneration. There's no way you'll be able to kill me so easily. Especially after I use this." Diadora said as he lifted a small glass vial that contained a dark purple aura that worried Issei greatly.

"Oh no you don't!" Issei charged at him and just as Diadoria was about to stab himself the vial, Issei used his sword to slice off his hand which made the severed hand fly into the air until the vial left the hand and cracked against the wall.

"You fool! Do you know what you've done?!" Diadora yelled as the vial broke and the large purple aura grew as it became a serpent before going into the nearest host.

Raynare.

The Fallen felt the snake enter her mouth as she tried to close her mouth but the snake kept sliding into her body until it was in her body completely which made her cough a lot of blood that forced Raynare to collapse on her knees as she tried to at least calm her body but the power from the snake was making her body burn hot like fire. Raynare then yelled loudly as an infinity symbol appeared on her chest until her wings were revealed but instead of two she had before four more wings appeared making her a six winged Fallen.

Raynare's scream ended as she fell on the floor but was caught by Angel who appeared in the room just as Raynare collapsed from exhaustion and the power of the snake. Issei held Diadora in a headlock until he slammed Diadora's head into the wall. His eyes glossed red and green as he demanded the devil.

"Tell me. What was in that vial that made Raynare scream like that?" Issei demanded as he gripped the Devils throat tighter until Diadora responded.

"It was a snake from...Ghk! N-No! This wasn't the deal!" Diadora screamed as Issei leapt away from the Devil as Diadora's chest exploded as his heart was shown in the hole to be obliterated.

Issei was shocked at this until he removed the rings from the body and in doing so the body was dead. Diadora was dead and Issei wasn't able to get much information from him besides that it was a snake that he received from someone. As Issei looked at Raynare, until High Pixie came down.

"Issei! It's Rias and her group. She's here with the other guardian of Kuoh Town! And she's waiting for you upstairs." She yelled surprised by the turn of events until Issei was calm as he picked up Raynare bridal style and carried her to the top floor where he saw his demons near the altar where he then placed Raynare on the stone table until he turned to see Rias and her group there along with Sona Sitri and Tsubaki Shinra.

"Tch. I told you I had this handled Rias Gremory." Issei said as if he was annoyed that the Devils decided to NOW show up and do something about the situation at the church. Instead, Issei was only disappointed in himself since he couldn't save Asia but relieved in a way that he was able to save Raynare while dealing with the others at the church.

Sona Sitri walked to Issei and spoke to him.

"Issei Hyoudou. You went into fallen angel territory, to rescue Asia Argento, an excommunicated nun, who was, unknowingly but still cooperating, with that fallen angel section. Not to mention she was going to be used on a ritual to extract her sacred gear. Not only that but you killed about 80 priests, killed Diadora Astaroth who is also a Young Devil and an heir to a powerful Devil House, killed his peerage, and aiding the Fallen Angel who killed you, which I'm surprised she's still alive due to what she did to you. As it stand right now, I am torn on what to do. One part of me wants to praise you for your bravery, but the other wants to smack you on the head for the stupid thing you have done. Why on earth would you plan something like this?" She said as she glared at him while gesturing all around them to the damage done to the area.

The demons wanted to defend their master and partner but a hand from Issei stopped them as he walked to Sona Sitri, who had an amazing poker face, before stopping a few feet in front of her.

"Under what delusion did you even think that I even had a plan? I only came here to help Raynare with her revenge against the exorcists, Freed, and the Devil that attacked and betrayed her. Granted Raynare was apart of the Fallen group that was here but she was going to stop the ritual so Asia wouldn't be killed. So she'd be happy and hopefully achieve her dream but...I failed Asia and now...now she's dead." Issei said as he looked at the rings in his hands which once belonged to the most innocent person who showed compassion and kindness to him but still wished to be happy and be free.

"Uh?" Sona was taken back by his answer until he continued. "All I knew was that a kind girl that I knew was in serious danger. I acted that way because I felt it was right, did I miss anything?" Issei asked the Student Council President as she replied.

"No. It's not that, but your actions were reckless. What do you think would happen if you re-started the war between the 3 factions?" Sona asked as she went back to her serious persona to which was broken by Issei's reply to her question.

Issei closed his eyes as he replied to her question. His voice was serious as if he meant it. "Then I would have had taken all of the blame and placed it upon my own shoulders and took anyone down that wanted to do something against me or those that I love. It's as simple as that."

Sona and Rias were taken back by his reply since neither would've never expected that kind of answer from Issei, but what REALLY scared them was the fact that Issei was willing to fight against ALL 3 factions if needed.

"Issei Hyoudou. You truly are a terrifying person." Sona said which Rias replied as a fact.

"As he should be. After all, he is a DemiFiend." Rias said that shocked both Sona and her Queen.

"Anyways. I wanted to know what these creatures who were helping you?" Rias asked as she looked at the Demons surrounding Issei to which replied by gesturing to them.

"They are my Demons. I made a contract with them and now they are my friends, an analogous to your Evil Pieces." Issei explained as he told them about his contracts. "Save that there is no limit. Just as long as I have the power to maintain them in the world. Besides that, that's really about it."

"That is a lot to take in. My brother would want to meet you and chat with you about your Demons and power." Rias said as Sona agreed with her.

"My sister as well. She would be wondering if she could borrow you and some of your Demons to her show." Sona said as she shivered at the thought while this information surprised Issei.

"Wait... you have a sister? I never expected you to have a sister. I thought you were an only child."

"Uhmm. Well...She can be a bit..challenging to deal with. Especially due to my sisters...Quirks." Sona said delicately, due to pacify his curiosity about her sister. "Know we will need to talk more but for now it's best you head home and get some rest. You look like you need it."

Issei nodded as he bowed in thanks before thanking his demons and sending them back as he picked up Raynare bridal style and carried her back to his home. Granted he at first wanted to find Asia's body but Angel showed Issei that she...put Asia out of her misery and made sure that she would not be resurrected by any means necessary.

After making it home and checking to see he was alone, he put Raynare in the guest bedroom before he slept in his bed and allowed Lilim to comfort him as she laid on his chest and hugged him comfortingly.

I, Lilim, will stay at your side and comfort you however I can. I'll always be there to aid you my Master." Lilim said to herself as she cuddled next to her master and was hoping she can still comfort and help him in the next battles.'I know I'm weak and can't do much but...maybe...just maybe I can help him in battle so he won't cry again. I don't want him to feel so much sadness and despair. He looks better when smiling.' Lilim said inwardly as she enjoyed the warmth and comfort she saw from Issei when she saw his smile. Trust me when I say that Raynare will be a loyal ally that will never betray Issei and she'll be one is the few DXD cast members who'll join Issei in the Mantra Army.

As for Asia, she'll return as what she was meant to be...An Angel that will be a lot stronger and granted won't have the Sacred Gear Twilight Healing but will have a different power than last time.

As for Issei, I wanted him to fail to save Asia so he can learn how he can regain his humanity and that he can't always save everyone. I'm not saying this because I hate Asia, I'm saying this because I don't see Issei having any spells or items that can resurrect her. Granted Issei is strong and has a few Revival Beads and some demons that can resurrect, I made it so they wouldn't work on Humans who are alive or dead.

As for Lilim, I wanted her to be a special demon who would take Asia's place in his heart as the comforter and healer since Lilim may be a Succubus, she can read his heart and help him emotionally.

Oh and these are the demons Issei now has.

But now thanks to a second chance from the system, Issei is sent back in time to the day it all began.

Will he be able to save everyone? Or will he fail once more?

Finally the Body Swap one is a special DXD that is meant for hilarity and supernatural fun.

Basically Issei accidentally unlocks his own magic but when he shows it to Irina things take an unexpected when Irina and Issei act differently. Which leads to a couple chapters of hilarity between Issei and the DXD cast. Heheheh!
