A few days later Peter had the photos sent to the magazine to be used except for the final one of him and Diana kissing; Peter had it sent to Diana who had it developed and framed putting it on her bedroom wall. Diana had that night teleported back to the Themysciran Embassy after a meeting with the Justice League at the Watchtower. She smiled at the photo as she entered the bedroom and she had great hope and optimism that they could take their relationship to the next level. Peter was a sweet cute adorable guy who was too much fun to mess around with but a heroic figure who persevered against great tragedy in his life and having to deal with all the criticism and slander that he has gotten in his years of having powers. Should they do go to official become boyfriend and girlfriend then she has plans for their alone time together; including the fact that she had kept her bikini from the photoshoot.

She turned to her bed and on a pillow was a Spider-Man plush toy that she had gotten during the time they were preparing for the auction at the Bar with No Name; she smirked at it and leaned down on the bed to face it. "You want to enjoy the show as I change into my night clothes Spidey before I join you in bed? Especially with your mask on, would you be able to breathe if we slept while kissing? I have been toying with seeing how your face feels as a cushion for my posterior..." Diana said to the plush toy but then grew concerned and then dead serious when she heard an explosion and looked out the window to see a building set on fire. She grabbed her Lasso of Truth and ran out the door to go into action.

10 Minutes Before

Peter had been chasing every lead he could get onto the location of Manfred, his daughter, Hammerhead or Grant; he had found a meeting spot where some arm dealers were showing off some weapons to a Maggia suit who was an inner circle servant of Manfredi along with bodyguards. He had got in and spoilt the party taking care of many of the men and had from the scaffolding hanging onto web attached to the leg of the Maggia boss who was in fearful of his life. "Okay so tell me where Grant is or your boss or do you fear robot him more than you do me?" Peter asked.

"I have no idea where the boss is, he and his closest associates are still hiding! We warned to be patient since with his advanced age it would be a while to figure out how to do the procedure safely and some more time for him to recuperate afterwards..." the guy cried as Peter sighed as he knew that it made sense; with how old Manfredi was it would be too easy for the surgery to turn him into a cyborg would end up killing him.

Just need to web up this guy and call the police... Spider-Sense...

BANG!

Peter jumped and ended up letting go of the web as he dropped web connected to the corpse that just had his head blown up. He noticed a figure on the upper window aiming a gun and then jumped down and began firing at some guys who Peter had webbed up to the wall. Peter went to face the guy and paused close to bursting into laughter despite jumping at the horror and being treated to the sight of the guy's brains being shot open.

It was a tall muscular glaring man in a silver helmet, a dark red short sleeved shirt with a symbol dove symbol on yellow with dark blue lining to it connected to dark blue linings on his shirt, dark blue gloves, a dark blue utility belt and white military pants. "Wow guy... Thanks, I really needed this... Has been a stressful time trying to hunt down Silvermane only to reach another dead end and facing what just happened but now... I have had to face people on outlandish costumes which gives me stuff to quip about and to make fun off since it helps me lighten the mood but... You're suit gives me more material than just about everyone else and that is saying something considering I have fought Mysterio before..." Peter laughed as he had to dodge with his Spider-Sense as the guy took out a gun and began firing at him.

He jumped down from the balcony and with quite skill the man then jumped down the ladder and Peter was too out of breath to dodge properly as the man then set off some smoke grenades. Peter was able to dodge the gunshots coming his way but then the guy came and punched him hard and threw him back.

Peter managed to dodge some more fire but it set off some kegs of explosive chemicals causing a fire to break out and an explosive noise; Peter was barely able to get webbed up criminals away from the fire. With the explosive easy to light the place on fire; it was probably why this place was selected for meeting so as a deterrent against betrayal or a fire fight breaking out. "Dude, you could have killed us and everyone in here! What's the matter with you?" Peter yelled at the guy.

"The lives of dirty criminals and a masked menace was almost killed; easily the biggest tragedy in the world!" the guy replied sarcastically as Peter got up. "Besides I would do any cost to save the world!" The guy said as he began firing some more as Peter had to dodge against and he barely had enough strength to try web slinging haphazardly with the guy able to dodge.

"Who are you anyway, I think you might be a fan of the Daily Bugle but why do you think you are saving the world?" Peter asked incredulously losing patience with whatever this is.

"The call me Peacemaker; I will kill whoever and anyone I can to ensure world peace and you Spider-Man might be the world's doom! I have seen it and if there is even a one percent chance of you destroying the world then I will take it as an absolute!" The guy said as Peter was open mouthed at the guy's name. Peacemaker?

Then through the window was Diana with a fierce glare as she went to help Peter up and Peacemaker made it clear on his face that he was not prepared to fight her, he ran to another barrel and got out a grenade with his finger on the trigger making her hesitate. It was enough time for him to set off a smoke bomb. When the smoke cleared he was gone and the police and fire fighters came to take the criminals into custody and to put out the fire.

"I will take him to saftey." Diana told the authorities as she carried him into her arms and made her way back to the Embassy through the door, she asked for privacy from the staff as she put him on a bed in a spare room and took off his mask so he could breathe. "Relax Peter, save your strength and we will worry about him tomorrow, I will make this room off limits to all but me and have clothes for you in the morning." Diana told him softly as she went to the door.

"Thanks Diana and if you had taken me to your room, I don't think that my heart would take it..." Peter muttered and Diana giggled that h still found the time to make his stupid jokes.

The roll call teaser trailer of the Suicide Squad, seeing John Cena in a comic accurate costume and the description was more than enough to make me a fan of a character I have little knowledge or exposure about. I can't wait for the movie (just found out yesterday thanks to a bus ad that it maybe coming earlier in the UK), the spinoff Peacemaker show (we don't have HBO Max here so I want to know how they will get it here) and I fully intend to buy the McFarlane Peacemaker figure when it comes out. Imagine Spider-Man and Peacemaker in any comic crossover or fanfic, there is endless material for Spider-Man quips!
