We finally made it! The end of the Hellfire Gala! If you've already read the comics, then you know which part is coming, so you can expect a huge reaction in the aftermath of that party. BUT, I will not include that certain ending, so don't expect any references about that one. With that said, let's jump to the finale!

SPIDER-MAN AND KITTY PRYDE: A (HELLFIRE) GALA TO REMEMBER
Final Chapter: Ending with a Bang!
With the Gala going in full swing, everyone was already enjoying the evening talking with familiar faces, making new friends and reconnecting. In Peter's case he was having a good time with rap group Run the Jewels and newly elected X-Men member Synch, but then, the Webslinger spots the Avengers looking at his position.
"Well fellas, if you excuse me, I'm being summoned by the Big Ones" Peter jokes with the men and bids his farewell "As your song goes: 'There's no days off, 'till the very last breath'" he quotes RTJ's song 'Mean Demeanor' as the group shakes hands "Take care fellas, and you too kid, congrats on joining the X-Men"
"Take care Webs" Synch bids his farewell to Peter, letting him leave the group so he can approach the three members of the Avengers who were looking at him, the 'Big Three': Captain America, Iron Man and Thor.
"Gentlemen, very fancy party, isn't it?" Peter greets his fellow heroes with a quip.
"The Blob who manages the Bar of Tikis is quite an expert in the matters of mead and craft beer, Man of Spiders" Thor slaps Peter's back in a friendly manner.
"It's been an incredible effort by the nation of Krakoa to make all of this happen" Rogers comments "Yet I have the feeling that we still haven't seen the main event"
"At least I doubt it'll be as crazy as the show Webs here pulled at Times Square" Tony comments, making the reference about the fight of the 'Multiversal Spider-Army' against Verna and her Hounds "You still have to show up at the Mountain to talk, because believe me, we got a lot to talk about"
"Listen, I know that you guys have a lot of questions about that battle, which honestly, I think calling it 'Spider-Square' is beyond absurd" Peter replies, even making the reference of how the media nicknamed the events that transpired that day "Even Reed has questions of his own and Kitty and I were bombarded with more questions from the people at Krakoa, all I'm gonna say is that I'll talk about it on its due time and to the ones I trust" he adds, emphasizing those last words as he looks at Steve and Thor, being the ones he trusts unlike Tony, due to the still lingering resentments built ever since the First Superhero Civil War.
"We understand the pressure Man of Spiders, and you shalt know that I am still grateful for the help you provided with the League of Realms during Malekith's War" Thor comments with his friendly tone, remembering the task he gave Peter to handle the League of Realms.
"And I know you work very hard protecting the city alongside Miss Pryde, for I understand the responsibility you carry" Rogers comments with kindness, yet serious "I just need to know if it's something that we should be concerned about"
"One thing that does surprise me is that you and Pryde have been working together for so long" Tony comments, prompting Steve and Thor to glare at him, as they know that Tony will be condescending at him again "Hey, don't take it the wrong way, is just that after years with the X-Men, I never expected her to go as your partner, even knowing your constant bantering" he adds, prompting Peter to sigh "But hey, if things are good between you two, then we're good"
"Talking about me?" Kitty intervenes in the conversation, joined by the White Queen, Emma Frost.
"Well, considering who's your companion, it's obvious that you'd be part of the topic" Emma replies in her snobbish tone "I'm sure it was about that stunt you pulled back at Times Square about a month ago" she adds, also inquiring about the battle of the spiders.
"If you call fighting against a vampire to save the Multiverse a 'stunt', then sure" Peter replies sarcastically.
"We were just having a conversation amongst colleagues, Miss Frost" Rogers replies, prompting Emma to smile at him.
"I must say that you look ravishing like the golden lights of Asgard at dawn, Lady Frost" Thor compliments her, prompting Kitty to roll her eyes.
"I agree with Goldilocks" Tony comments "But you don't need a reminder from me, Emma, not after all of our history" he adds, referencing their past times as lovers before they even became heroes.
"Well, I must say that it's a delight that I have upon me to one of the most gorgeous queens of all of Krakoa" Peter makes his flattering comment "And it's good to see you too, Emma" he adds, making it know that his flattering was aimed at his girlfriend, the former Red Queen, prompting her to smile and blush.
"If you excuse us Miss Frost, I'm going to check with the rest of my fellow Avengers, enjoy the evening" Rogers makes a small bow and then looks at Peter "And if you really want to talk, let me know son" he pats Peter's shoulders and then leaves the place.
"Well, could've been much more uncomfortable" Peter jokes and then look at the women "Cool Party, by the way"
"I'll take it as a compliment" Emma replies with a dry tone but her sights focus on Captain America.
"You OK, Emma?" Kitty asks her, yet Emma remains with her sights on the veteran Avenger.
"Oh, it's nothing darling, just looking at the Captain" Emma replies "I mean, I'm sure you noticed the way he was looking at me…" she adds with her tone sounding a bit sultry.
"Really?" Kitty raises an eyebrow, sounding skeptical "Are things going down with you and Scott?" she asks her, concerned about her relationship with Scott Summers, but Emma quickly debunks that concern.
"Oh, don't worry darling, things with me and Scott are running very smoothly in spite of him leading the X-Men team with his ex-wife" Emma replies to her comment "But of course, that doesn't mean one can't fantasize about what things could be with someone else, like say, Captain America" she then starts to go inside his mind to find out if he does think the same but her face makes a horrified gesture after a few seconds "Oh my God!" she exclaims, turning to face Kitty "I remind him of his mother!" she adds, to which Kitty can barely hold her laughter.
"What?" Kitty asks as she covers her mouth to prevent bursting into laughter.
"His mother was born at the turn of the last century!" Emma complains after that discovery "I need a drink"
"You already have one" Kitty points at the glass of champagne she is holding.
"I need another!" Emma exclaims, drinking her champagne in one go and then grabs another glass just as one of the Madrox dupes working as waiter passes by "I'm going for my final change of wardrobe, I'll see you after the fireworks" she adds, taking her leave.
"What did just happen?" Peter asks, sounding a bit dumbfounded.
"Apparently Emma thought Captain America was attracted to her but turns out that she only reminds him of his late mother" Kitty explains what happened.
"For real?" Peter asks, now sounding a bit skeptical.
"Yup, but hey I get the skepticism" Kitty replies, drinking a sip of her glass "Then again, if a half-naked woman reminds you of your mom, you must be very Izhkabibble in the head" she then looks at her boyfriend "Gala's almost done, should we call for the others and gather for the fireworks before we leave?" she asks him.
"Good call, now how do we find them?" Peter asks her as he looks around.
"Don't worry; I set up a beeper call" Kitty replies as she checks her Webware device "Once they get the message, they'll meet with us" she then looks back at him with a wide smile "Now let's get a good 'ringside seat' for the fireworks" she wraps his arm with hers.
"Lead the way, milady" Peter replies, walking away with her to the 'rendezvous point'.
Jessica is the first one to receive the call while she was still chatting with Carol and She-Hulk, since Susan Storm chose to stay with her family.
"Seems that the fireworks are about to start" Jessica comments as she checks her phone "And to be fair, it's getting late and I really need to get back home, I have to give Roger a good compensation for taking care of Gerry lately" she adds.
"Congratulations on still having a stable relationship" Carol raises her glass "And I'm not being sarcastic, I'm glad that of the two of us, you're still doing good in the love department"
"Thanks for that" Jessica replies "You on the other hand, you should go back with Rhodey"
"Hulk agrees" She-Hulk adds to Jessica's words "Hulk still thinks Carol sleeping with Strange was stupid" she points out Carol's brief fling with Doctor Strange, leaving Carol shocked at the fact that someone besides her best friend knows it.
"HEY!" Carol exclaims and then looks at Jessica "You told her!?"
"No, I didn't!" Jessica nervously replies "I told Monica and the Hazmat girl" she then looks at her watch in an attempt to escape "Oh, would you look at that? I have to go, take care, I'll see you back at the city, bye!" she quickly leaves the scene, all the while Carol grunts and mumbles and She-Hulk stifles her laughter.
Anya is having a good time with Dazzler, and now she was hanging out with Glob Herman, Mercury, Loa and Eye-Boy, until she gets the notification on her phone.
"Ooooh, hang on guys" Anya excuses as she checks the message "My friends are calling me for the fireworks"
"Oh right! The fireworks are about to start!" Eye-Boy giddily exclaims "This is so exciting!"
"We get it Trevor" Loa comments with a hint of annoyance "You can be so excitable at times" she adds as she rolls her eyes.
"Leave him be, the guy's happy about it!" Dazzler defends Eye-Boy while Mercury simply rolls her eyes.
"Come on Alani, let's check the fireworks" Mercury talks to her and then she grabs her hand to leave the place.
"Man, they're in such a rush…" Glob comments as he looks at them go "I bet they're gonna hook-up" he smirks as he crosses his arms.
"They do have something" Eye-Boy comments "I can definitively see it" he adds since his mutation allows him to read any kind of body language and through his many eyes he can even read the hints.
"One thing's for sure, the big moment is coming and we can't miss it" Dazzler comments and then looks at Anya "You go with your friends, keep in touch" she smiles at her new friend and gives her a hug that she returns in kind.
"I'll be" Anya replies "Don't stop Dazzling them" she bids her farewell and heads to the rendezvous point to meet the rest of her group.
Both Ben and Kaine decided to watch the party unfold from a distance, not wanting to jump into another impromptu 'WrestleMania moment' and pick another fight, but as they were finishing their drinks, Ben turns to look at Kaine.
"Did you know that the chick with the Black Eye was looking at us the whole time?" Ben whispers to Kaine, noticing that they are being watched by Domino.
"Yeah, I did" Kaine replies "Spider-Sense never buzzed though, that means she's not a threat" he comments "But she is hot though".
"You're gawking at her cleavage aren't you?" Ben asks him but Kaine simply shrugs his shoulders.
"So what if I am?" Kaine replies "Is not like I'm gonna ask her out, it won't last anyways" he comments but then they both get the beep of the notification "Pete and Pryde are calling us for the fireworks"
"Then I guess the party's ending" Ben replies as both Scarlet Spiders put aside their drinks "Let's go" he gestures with his head to leave, all the while Domino kept an eye on both men, especially on Kaine.
"Dear God, Neena! Your thoughts are becoming more and more lustful" Domino hears Sage's voice in her head, prompting her to frown and blush.
"Get the #$%& out of my head, Tessa!" Neena scolds her through their psychic link "I'll admit it, that guy with the red blazer, the beard and the scars is hot, OK?" she admits that she feels attracted to Kaine.
"I'm not denying it… there is something appealing with that brooding" Sage replies, also admitting a hint of attraction "And I'll also confess that while reviewing the fight he had with the Hellions, the guy has some good moves" she adds, prompting Domino to smirk.
"Huh, I may not be a telepath but I'm betting that I'm not the only one lusting for the bearded spider-dude" Neena playfully replies, finding out about her colleague's interest.
"Well, the fireworks are coming and I'm not missing them so… maybe I'll drop by with you, take a closer look and get to compare those notes, shall we?" Sage replies while Domino laughs in response, taking her leave to head to the fireworks area and continue with her work and keep an eye on them as well.
Miles reconnected with Fabio and stayed chatting with him, Eva and Dust, one of Miles' former teammates with the Champions, but right then he gets the notification on his phone.
"Well guys, sorry to wrap up the talk but my crew wants to gather for the fireworks" Miles tells them "It was so cool to reconnect" and then he looks at Eva "And again, sorry that Fabio and I scared ya with our Bickering en Español" he jokingly apologizes but Eva shakes her head in denial.
"Don't worry, in retrospect it was kinda funny" Eva laughs a bit while Dust approaches Miles.
"It was good to see you and please send my regards to Ms. Marvel when you see her next" Dust mentions their fellow Champion Ms. Marvel, to which Miles nods in response.
"I will and good to see you too Sooraya" Miles replies and then looks at Fabio "Bruh, let's hope this ain't the last time for Spider-Man and Gold… sorry, Spider-Man and Egg" he jokes and laughs, a sentiment Fabio replies in kind, giving him a big hug.
"We're bros 'till the end, Compa'e" Fabio laughs with him and then they both fistbump, but before he leaves, Eva takes a quick look around.
"Won't get another chance, so… here it goes" Eva thinks and right then she creates a small bubble of time to freeze the group and then approaches Miles to slowly lift up his mask, having felt curious about how he looks under the mask. Right then she smiles at the sight of his face "I knew it, he's really cute" she then lowers his mask again and rewinds time to the point before, as if it never happened. Miles takes his leave while Fabio waves goodbye.
"Man, that's one cool bro" Fabio comments to Eva.
"He's really cool" Eva replies "And cute" she giggles a bit, causing Fabio to raise an eyebrow.
"How'd you know if he's cute?" Fabio asks her, looking at her suspiciously, to which she shrugs her shoulders.
"He's charming in his own way, that makes him cute" Eva coyly replies "Come on, let's find a good place for the fireworks" she gestures with her head to move along, while Fabio remains skeptical but then he shrugs his shoulders and goes along.
Cindy spent the rest of the night with Sunspot in a very pleasant and candid conversation about everything, from their heroic lives to how hard it was for them to find romance in both their heroic and civilian identities, but their mutual attraction just keeps growing as they keep talking.
"I never imagined that I'd meet the perfect combination of Tony Stark's money without the ego, Johnny Storm's attitude without being dumb and irresistible charm" Cindy flirts with him, to which Sunspot smirks at her.
"It's the Latino Spice, works like a charm" Sunspot replies with the same flirtatious tone "But you don't stay behind, you have quite the spark, the beauty, the charm… and you can really keep a man interested in quite an exotic lady like you" he compliments her, prompting her to blush.
"Have you said that to every girl you've dated?" Cindy asks him but Sunspot retains his smirk.
"I haven't dated a girl like the one I'm talking to right now" Sunspot replies "And yes, I'm asking you out on a date" he adds, to which Cindy giggles in response.
"It would be a delight" Cindy replies but before they could go further with the details, her phone beeps with the notification sent by Kitty, making her groan in annoyance of being interrupted.
"Believe me beleza, I have dealt with lots of beeps" Sunspot replies but right then he notices in the distance that Cannonball is waving at their location, signaling him that the fireworks are approaching "But I'm afraid that we have to cut short our talk, the fireworks are coming" he comments just as Cindy is checking her phone.
"You're right; Kitty and Spidey are calling for me to join them" Cindy replies to his comment and then looks into his eyes "Will I see you again?" she asks him, hoping to regain the contact.
"I'll be honest, I'm living in space to stay close to my best friend and I told him that it would take a very good reason to come back to Earth and settle…" Sunspot replies with honesty, yet Cindy begins to feel a bit nervous "So it's a very good thing that we've met and gave me that reason to come" he smirks, to which Cindy smiles at him feeling relieved "Here…" he then takes a card off the inner pocket of his attire "That's my personal number right there"
"Great, I'll text you when I get home" Cindy smiles at him and approaches to his face but then she stops "Ummm, your powers won't hurt me if I kiss you, right?"
"Oh right" Sunspot realizes that detail about his powers "Well, if I turn it off, you promise you won't laugh at me? Is just that my 'clothes' are made to act alongside my powers and I'd look ridiculous without them" he laughs nervously but Cindy shakes her head in denial.
"I promise you I won't" Cindy replies, to which Sunspot then slowly turns off his powers, revealing to be barely covered "Well… I'm definitively not complaining about the view" she comments with a flirty tone and then approaches him to give him a kiss on the cheek "I'll save the good kisses for our date" she whispers at him, noticing how he blushes until he reactivates his powers.
"You're definitively as smooth as Silk" Sunspot comments with a goofy smile, to which Cindy takes a quick look around, sparking Sunspot's curiosity.
"I feel like I can trust in you so…" Cindy then lifts up her mask to reveal her face "My name's Cindy, Cindy Moon" she reveals her identity at him.
"Cindy Moon…" Sunspot whispers "No wonder the party is bright, you came down from the sky to light it up" he flirts with her, causing her to blush again.
"You are quite the charmer Roberto Da Costa" Cindy flirts back to him "I can't wait for our first date" she then turns her back and sway her hips so he could see her leave, giggling on the inside as she is glad that her drought is finally ending, and after she took enough distance, Sunspot jumps raising his fist in celebration.
"YES! EU ESTOY DE VOLTA!" Sunspot joyfully exclaims, showing a wide smile from ear to ear as he rejoins his friends, eager to have a great date with a very lovely hero like Silk.
Gwen on the other hand, spent the rest of the evening in a very long 'make-out session' with Pixie, kissing each other in a tight embrace that seemed like it would last for the remainder of the Gala.
"You're a very good kisser" Pixie whispers over Gwen's lips.
"Yours taste like licorice" Gwen replies "And I'm not joking" she giggles.
"That's the best compliment I've ever heard" Pixie smiles at her as she retakes the kiss, but the tender moment is interrupted by the beeping of Gwen's phone, but Gwen chose to ignore it and focus on the kiss, that is until two of Pixie's friends called her.
"Hey Megan!" Blink's voice was heard on the distance "We're going to search for a place to watch the fireworks!"
"We'll be waiting for you!" DJ's voice is heard following that, prompting the young mutant to frown as the moment was truly interrupted.
"Didn't want this to end…" Pixie whispers but then she gasps and blushes after realizing that she said it instead of thinking it.
"I really liked it too…" Gwen laughs a bit "I mean, look at me, making out with a girl I just met and yet it feels… comfortably good" she smiles at her, feeling pleased of spending the time with her "Let's not look at it as the end, more like hitting the 'pause' button" she tells her, to which she nods in response.
"I'd like that very much" Pixie replies, keeping her smile on her face.
"Oh I know!" Gwen exclaims and then pulls out her phone, noticing that the message she was sent came from Kitty "Huh, I was getting a call about those fireworks as well" she then shake her head "Anyways, here, type your number so I can give you a call or text you" she hands her the phone, which Pixie eagerly grabs so she could type her number in.
"Here you go" Pixie replies as she gives her back her phone "I marked it under Pixie" she tells her.
"Got it, I'll text you later then" Gwen replies while both girls gaze into each other, but the moment is interrupted again when Pixie's friends call her by her name again "Megan? That's your name?" she asks her out of curiosity, to which Pixie nods in response "I'm Gwen" she reveals her name, which is not a problem since she is a superhero in the first place and being from an alternate universe, no one could play the 'endangered relatives' card against her "Take care!" she waves goodbye and takes her leave while Pixie simply stands there with a goofy smile on her face.
"Gwen…" Pixie whispers her name until her friends calling her out again break her trance, much to her chagrin "Alright! Alright! I'm coming!" she exclaims back at them as she heads to join her friends for the fireworks.
THEN, AT THE RENDEZVOUS POINT
With Peter and Kitty already gathered alongside a good amount of guest, one by one the rest of the Order of the Web members were arriving, and as expected, their first reaction comes towards Kaine's lack of a shirt.
"Dude, what happened to your shirt?" Peter asks him with an annoyed tone.
"I lost it, OK?" Kaine dryly replies "Besides, half the men around here are shirtless and no one bats an eye" he points out that detail to the group.
"Well, to be fair…" Anya looks at the group "Most of the girls around here don't seem to be wearing underwear either" she whispers to the group.
"Exhibit A" Ben points upwards, revealing the arrival of Emma Frost in her final attire, a diamond dress that barely covers her body and also barely qualifies as a 'dress', yet her diamond form prevents from showing that amount of flesh.
"HA! Just when you thought Emma Frost couldn't be more of an exhibitionist" Jessica sarcastically comments while everyone else looks at the scene.
"Well, you can't have a Hellfire Gala without a lot of bare flesh" Kitty replies to her comment, but then everyone focuses on Emma's speech, ending the Gala with a major announcement, calling it one of those 'Where were you at when' moments that cannot be missed, and behind all of the theatrics and words, in a major flash of light comes the reveal of the biggest change for both mutantkind and the universe.
"Welcome to Planet Arakko" Magneto's voice is heard as the result is shown: The work of a group of Omega-Level Mutants brought a new home for the Arakkii mutants through the terraforming of the planet now formerly known as Mars. The 'Red Planet' is now not only habitable, but it is declared as the 'Capital of the Solar System' with Storm acting as the Regent. Mutants have a new home and humanity is now facing a major change in their own landscape.
To say that it was a surprise for every human attending the Gala, it would be an Epic Understatement. Everyone, from Captain America to Doctor Strange, showed their reservations and true surprise about the announcement, as for the spiders, all they did was watch the scene unfold with mouths agape and wide eyes, even noticeable underneath the masks.
"Oy…" Peter mutters in amazement.
"Vey…" Kitty finishes the sentence with the same reaction, and right then, they begin to see that a large amount of the human guests begin to leave the party, prompting the group of spiders to look at each other and nod in agreement that they should leave as well.
"Leaving the party, Katherine?" Emma asks Kitty through their psychic link.
"Yeah, we've already had fun and we saw what we needed to see" Kitty replies telepathically "Good party Emma, I had fun with the rest and I'm sure Peter did as well"
"Thank you Katherine, I hope we meet again for brunch" Emma replies to her comment.
"Oh yeah, we'll definitively will" Kitty comments, knowing that the main topic will be the event they all just witnessed.
With those words, Kitty and the Order of the Web head to the Krakoan Gate that leads them to New York and they can all go home after what it was one of the biggest Galas ever held, so far.
THEN, BACK IN NEW YORK
The group of spiders walk through the Krakoan Gate back to New York City, right back to where they started at the Washington Square Park. Everyone was silent as they walked but after gaining enough distance from the gate, Peter takes a deep breath to talk.
"Well… that happened" Peter comments, prompting the rest of the group to stop and look at him "People now live on Mars… On Mars!" he exclaims as he begins to assimilate what he just witnessed.
"Should we be still calling it Mars?" Anya throws the question at the group to start the debate.
"Well, I'll do it like people did to Prince and call it 'The Planet formerly known as Mars'" Kaine replies sarcastically.
"Judging by a lot of the reactions from the heads of state back there, I could sense a mix of fear and shock" Jessica comments, based on her experience as an agent "If you ask me, that was a show of force"
"So, should we be frightened about it?" Miles asks her.
"Honestly, I don't know" Jessica replies and then looks at Peter and Kitty "What'd you guys think?"
"I think it was a very bold move by everyone in Krakoa" Kitty replies "But I feel it was a necessary one, the Arakkii people were accustomed to live in a warlike environment, constantly fighting for their lives and taking what they wanted, that would've meant a lot of trouble for the people of Earth" she comments her argument "Not to mention that, as my friends told me, with the human demand of Krakoan Medications growing, the Hellfire Company needed more grounds and Mars, or Planet Arakko, is a great boon to grow more plants, it was a great strategy to expand, to grow and to benefit everyone, including Earth" she finishes her argument and then looks at Peter "What do you think, Hun?"
"Do you remember what Neil Armstrong said when he walked out to the Moon? 'This is one small step for man and one giant leap for humankind'…" Peter begins his argument with the Apollo 11 quote "This was one small step for mutants and one giant leap for mutantkind indeed" he looks at his friends "People like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Neil DeGrasse Tyson and even Reed Richards and Tony Stark claimed that it would take generations to have a planet like Mars to be habitable and then, a bunch of mutants, some of them friends of mine, pulled the impossible in a matter of hours… Hours!" he begins to gesture with his hands to further prove his argument "You got people like Iceman and Storm and Jean Grey and Mag-Freaking-Neto working together to terraforming a whole planet. You call it a show of force? I call it the further evidence that mutants are the next step of evolution, and they proved it working as one unit, working as one to build a, what, an expansion of their home" he then takes a deep breath "I admit that I'm still wary of how the calls are made by the Professor Xavier and whoever else rules that island, but I actually applaud what they just made, because it proves that they want to build something to be part of this universe, they want to collaborate and bring their own piece to be part of something greater, and even when people fear it and hate it, they still do it because is right and because they belong to this universe" he then looks at Kitty who smiles at him "I admit it, my nerd side, the scientist in me is geeking out and yet my common sense tells me that it was indeed a bold move and that might bring a whole new set of troubles, but I truly hope they know what they're doing" he finishes his argument, to which everyone in the group mumbles and nod in agreement, and unbeknownst to them, they were all being psychically spied by Emma Frost to find out about their reactions, smiling with a pleasant surprise after hearing Peter's argument about their move.
"I am genuinely and pleasantly surprised by those words Peter Parker" Emma ponders in her mind "I'd never imagine that Spider-Man of all people would come up with such a conclusion, and yet I'm truly glad that he, in his own way, supports our efforts… Katherine made a good choice with him, and I definitively must invite him and his allies for the next year's Gala".
"Anyhoo, this was a very fun party" Peter comments and then notices that both Gwen and Cindy are looking at their phones "Did my nerdy speech bore you?" he asks them, startling them a bit.
"Oh, sorry, no, I did hear your speech, pretty good" Cindy replies "is just that I was texting Roberto so he knows that I support what they're doing and to plan for our date" she comments, surprising the women in the group.
"Already found a date!?" Jessica exclaims "Well, now you're forgiven" she adds, indirectly referencing her incident during Verna's Hunt when Cindy kissed the adult Gerry Drew from an alternate universe.
"Wait, you and Berto?" Kitty asks her but inevitably laughs "Roberto Da Costa is an old friend of mine back with the New Mutants" she tells her "He's a cool guy and he'd be a good fit for you, just don't let him play you" she gives her advice, which Cindy nods in acceptance.
"How 'bout you?" Anya asks Gwen "Met someone too?"
"Yeah, I did" Gwen replies and then she hears the beeping of her phone "I was texting her and... Hey, she texted me back, we're gonna have a date next week!" she giddily exclaims, yet there was a detail everyone caught.
"Hang on; did you say 'Her'?" Ben asks Gwen, who stops her celebration to look at her friends and then stands firm and determined.
"Yes, I did" Gwen replies to Ben and then looks at Kitty "I followed your advice, you told me that I should try to find out how I feel with girls and try kissing girls" she comments, surprising Kitty with her statement "So I did! Her name's Pixie and we kissed and you know something? I enjoyed that moment" she smiles as she remembers that moment.
"Did you just kiss a girl you just met?" Kaine asks, sounding a bit skeptical.
"Sure, because no one else around here hasn't done that before" Peter sarcastically replies in Gwen's defense, to which the rest of the group mumble and nod in agreement with him.
"As I was saying…" Gwen retakes her speech "I enjoyed that moment and with that, I can confirm what I am and who I am" she then takes a deep breath "I like boys and I like girls! I'm Freaking Bisexual!" she proudly exclaims, letting go her tears and prompting her friends to applaud and hug her, congratulating her for her courage.
"Mazel Tov, Gwen!" Kitty hugs her, congratulating her "And welcome to the club, girl!" she fistbumps with her now 'Fellow Bi-Sister´.
"This is definitively a night to remember" Peter comments as he looks at his friends and then looks at his watch "Holy crap, it's late!"
"You're right, I have to get home" Jessica responds to his comment "Roger's probably already face down asleep while Gerry's climbing the ceiling again"
"Not to mention that I'm waaaaay past my time" Miles comments about his own situation being too late at night away from home "Ma's gonna ground me for life!"
"My roommate's probably knocked down" Anya jokes and then looks at Miles "But I agree that we're way past our time"
"I'll accompany you guys home" Cindy volunteers to join them on their way home.
"I'll join you" Gwen adds "After all, I'm crashing at Cindy's apartment tonight before heading home" she comments, pointing out that she is the only spider who can traverse through the Multiverse without a device due to her pendant.
"We'll be heading back to the hotel and then back to Vegas the next morning" Kaine comments as he looks at Ben.
"How'd you afford it?" Jessica asks them, to which Ben laughs in response.
"I was helping Tony Stark with some stuff so in compensation he paid for the flight tickets and the hotel, but of course I had to add this guy" Ben replies her question, gesturing with his head to point towards Kaine.
"Hey, I may be at odds with this guy but I'm not saying no to a free flight ticket, a free hotel room and a free trip to a fancy party" Kaine comments in response.
"Well, I guess it's a wrap for all of us" Peter talks to the group "We'll stay in touch!" he adds as he wraps Kitty's waist with his arm and shoots a web-line, something that all of the other members of the Order of the Web do to leave the place and head home, bringing their encounter to the end and wait for the news the morning after.
THEN, WITH PETER AND KITTY
After leaving the Washington Square Park, Peter and Kitty were swinging around for a while until they were approaching their apartment building, yet Kitty notices something.
"Honey, I know for a fact that you didn't drink alcohol but I think you're not aiming at our window" Kitty comments but Peter keeps swinging.
"I know sweetie!" Peter replies as he reaches the building, landing at the rooftop where four lampposts have been set up.
"Pete? Baby?" Kitty looks around wondering what has her boyfriend been up to until he reaches a switch.
"Check it out" Peter flips the switch, activating a series of pink and red lights revealing an improvised LED dance floor "Since the dance floor in Krakoa was too crowded and you know that I suck at dancing in open spaces, I wanted to give you a much better end to the night" he reveals his idea to her, something that warms her heart as he thinks of many ways to have fun together.
"Awww Baby!" Kitty approaches him to give him a big hug.
"Now…" Peter takes of his gloves and his mask "Ready to dance?" he extends his and while he activates the loudspeakers with the other one and the tunes of Dua Lipa's 'Levitating' begin to blast, prompting Kitty to take his hand and walk to the dance floor.
Both of them smile and laugh as they dance to the beat, feeling closer with each move and enjoying the time they have each other. Peter loves to see that bright smile on her face while Kitty loves how he makes her feel happy.
"You know? You make me feel exactly like the lyrics of that song" Kitty tells him as they both embrace while the song ends and follows by an instrumental version, yet they both take it slow to dance.
"That explains why you've been hearing it so often" Peter jokes, prompting Kitty to giggle "I knew you loved that song"
"I do, because it reminds me of what I feel for you" Kitty replies as she gets closer to him "Thanks for making me happy, baby" she then gives him a tender kiss "I love you Peter"
"I love you too Kitty" Peter replies after that kiss "And you deserve to be happy, just like you've made me the happiest" he adds, giving her another tender kiss "You are perfect" he makes blush after calling her that, and she loves it when he calls her like that.
"Thanks for making this" Kitty smiles at him "A much better ending for this crazy night" she giggles.
"Actually… there's a better way to end this night" Peter coyly tells her "Just one question… is that dress very expensive?" he asks her, to which she looks at him quizzically.
"That's an odd question Hun" Kitty tells him.
"Just humor me, Hun" Peter replies, still keeping his smile "You know I made this type of question before" he tells her, causing her to make an attempt to recall when did he do that.
"Well, the one time I heard something like that was when we were at Blackstone and…" Kitty right then realizes why he asked that, and Peter's face changes to a provocative look and a smirk, prompting Kitty to jump to his arms and give him a hungry, passionate kiss "To answer that question, yes, it is an expensive dress but it was meant to be worn only once so…" she replies with a sultry tone as she approaches him "Take me to the bedroom and do it…" she whispers to his ear "Oh and FYI… I'm not wearing any underwear" she gives him the extra motivation he needed to carry her all the way to the rooftop access and go downstairs to their apartment where he will follow through his plan and give the woman he loves a much better ending to this night, making it a Hellfire Gala to remember.
