I'm Firestar9mm. I used to be Serena4. I love writing, and reading. For me, writing is like putting on makeup--even if I'm not going anywhere, I still like to do it, just for me.

I love canon. So much it hurts. I don't have any interest in reading about beautiful Sues who lobotomize the canon characters and turn a story on its ear. However, people are entitled to write these things. I just won't read them. I'll defend their right to do so, but not the integrity of their craft. Free speech is like any other right--really amazing when people don't abuse it.

Sometimes people ask me to read over their work and tell them what I think. I'll happily do that when asked, regardless of subject matter. I will always be honest about it, but also polite, because courtesy doesn't cost us anything.

I love getting reviews, but ever since my early stories here I've had one rule: please be constructive. No unreasonable ranting. (It's right there on the beginning Big O stories. Go ahead and check if you like; I'll wait.)
