I just couldn't resist with this one. After all it's a movie about felines and a family that consists of three children. (Two boys and a girl) I mean, how could I not?
Frida Suarez lost her family at a young age and was taken in by her unloving grandfather who was very strict to her and forced her to always be proper. When she became a woman he forced her into an arranged marriage to an unequally unloving man who later ran off with her dowry and left her pregnant. Her grandfather blamed her for the whole thing and disowned her.
Luckily she was taken in by her wealthy but kind and lonely neighbor Mrs. Chiquita who always viewed her as the child she never had. Frida later gives birth to triplets and the five of them live happily together, with Mrs. Chiquita loving Frida as her own daughter and Frida's children as her own grandchildren. So when the time comes to make her will she decides that Frida and the triplets will inherit everything she owns after she passes.
Unfortunately her greedy and conniving butler Mr. Chapuza believes that the fortune should go to him so he secretly pays hoodlums to abduct and murder the young woman and children. Frida and the triplets manage to escape but find themselves lost in the lower regions of Mexico.
However they are soon found by Manny Rivera, a streetwise downtown man who quickly becomes very smitten with the beautiful uptown woman. He agrees to help her and her family get back home which leads to many mishaps, trials, and Manny and Frida learning that they have a lot more in common than they think.
