The elevator doors opened and the guards aimed their guns at it, seeing nothing inside. A smoke bomb appeared almost out of thin air and they didn't have time to react before it detonated, covering the area in a thick cloud. Every single one of them coughed as the smoke filled their lungs before four shots rang out. Four bodies crumbled to the ground and three more shots rang out, killing three more and leaving smoking holes in their heads.

They started to fire into the smoke, but momentarily stopped when one of them clutched his bleeding neck. The next one was dragged into the smoke and barely made a noise before a loud snap was heard. Another one disappeared but reappeared shortly after, a large laceration on in his neck and he clutched it before crumbling to the floor. The last two looked at one another before bolting down the hall, only to scream in agony when they were shot in the back with the Binary Rifle. Their cells broke down and their bodies started to disintegrate before turning into ash.

Six walked out of the smoke and ignored the bodies, stepping over the ones that were lying still on the ground. The halls were caked with blood and a few bodies were slumped against the walls while others were on the floor. His footsteps sounded heavy seeing how he wasn't trying to be quiet and his gaze constantly scanned the surrounding area while his motion tracker didn't detect anything. He had to stop when the Monitor floated in front of him before pulsing several times then attaching herself onto his strap.

"There aren't any guards or scientists left." She informed.

"It won't matter if there are any. The transport is destroyed and their only way off this island is effectively cut off." He said.

"Not to mention I've disabled the self destruct sequence." She said.

"He had one?" He asked.

"He did. I'm guessing as a last resort, oh how you should have seen his face when he realized not even that was working!" She beamed.

"How strong is it?" He asked.

"Strong enough to destroy everything here." She answered.

"Good." He nodded and continued walking through the halls. Each room was searched carefully, destroying whatever evidence after learning a bit about it then moving onto the next one. There was a scientist that begged for mercy but he ignored their pleas before cleaving their head from their shoulders with one swipe. He was all out of mercy at this point and it was disgusting to think they would even attempt to plea for any. The minutes droned on and turned to tens of minutes before that eventually spanned into almost an hour.

There truly wasn't anybody left alive, which meant Merlot was the only bastard left breathing. The screens around the halls buzzed to life and he saw the doctor; he looked more crazed than usual, but that didn't bother Six. It just meant that ugly attempt of a disguise was sliding off and showing his horrendous face. His hair was even more disheveled, skin was clammy and wrinkles even more present, his normal eye shook with rage and a hint of insanity while his cybernetic eye glowed malevolently.

"You disgusting creature! Do you have any idea how much data was lost?! Years worth of priceless research and resources, down the drain! You cannot even attempt to understand what my work was doing for Remnant, for mankind as a whole! I was going to take us into the next-" Merlot didn't get to finish before Auspicious cut him off once more.

"..." He looked at her while she did the same before he shrugged then walked forward. There was a large door, bigger than he had ever seen, in at the end of the hallway. It was at least thirty feet tall and the heavy looking doors kept something dangerous inside. He would have liked to find another way, but it turns out this was the only way to Merlot's office. Judging by the enraged yells in the distance, the buffoon was probably throwing another one of his tantrums at not being the smartest person in the room.

Something Six decided to ignore considering the smartest being in the room was Auspicious. Her intelligence was almost limitless when it came to every aspect of this little Installation. He prided himself with being smart, but knew he was outmatched when it came to smarts. She was the brains while he was brawn, as much as he hated to admit it.

He switched his active camo out for his armor lock and walked up to the door. The panel was ripped off and revealed a switch, making him grip it tightly before slamming it down then back up a bit. The metal doors slowly opened and sparks shot up from the friction against the surfaces. It made him shake his head at the sudden high pitch screeching noise before it was drowned out and ignored.

His head snapped upwards when a colossal hand gripped the door to his left before throwing it open with a tremendous amount of force. The metal practically screamed in protest with how loud it was but he ignored it when another hand shot from the darkness. It gripped him tightly and flung him halfway across the room violently. Sparks shot up from when he slammed against the ground and skid several feet before stopping. He quickly stood up and brought out his DMR and aimed it at the large enemy.

The lights turned on and revealed what he was facing. A large, twenty-two foot bipedal behemoth that had two gargantuan arms. One was adorned with razor sharp claws while the other seemed to be fused with a heavy looking tri-barreled minigun with a grenade launcher in the middle. Bits of flesh were missing from its torso, legs, and arms but were replaced with cybernetic enhancements. A glowing red core in its chest suddenly closed and was guarded by three pieces of armor. On its back was one large thruster with two vents on its shoulder blades to release excess heat.

It had seven eyes, each one darting in several different directions while the largest one honed in on him. Saliva dribbled down its jaws as it glared at him hatefully and spit flew forward when it roared, splattering against the ground. Its roar warbled in the air with how loud it was and it stomped once, shaking the ground. There was copious amounts of blood all over the area and he saw several bodies littering it.

"Do you like it, you despicable cretin? It's my finest work yet! A beast from a time that was long forgotten; it grew to its exponential size due to consuming other Grimm and asserting its dominance as an apex predator. We excavated it twenty years ago in the blood glacier in Atlas. As you can see, I've made some arrangements that would keep you busy. I can't wait to see how this battle plays out." Merlot laughed.

Six glared at it for a second before firing at it several times. It roared loudly at him then lifted its arm and fired several grenades at him, forcing him to run to the side and avoid the explosions when they blew up at his previous spot. His eyes widened when it lowered its shoulder and the thruster on its back activated, causing it to rocket forward at him with an alarming speed. He barely had time to dive out of the way and roll up to a standing position when it slammed into the wall, rattling the area.

He fired at its exposed back and noticed that his rounds were barely doing anything to its thick muscle. They tore chunks of flesh off, but didn't do any significant damage to the massive beast. It turned around and aimed its minigun at him. The barrels on it started to spin quickly and he ran to the side when countless rounds pelted the ground he would previously be at. Sparks flew up from the impact spots and the barrels turned orange and it stopped firing when it overheated. It stomped on the ground and roared at him while he took aim and fired at one of its eyes.

It roared in pain and stomped the ground, shaking it and making him move around a bit. The thruster on its back started to heat up and it rocketed towards him, making him dive out of the way. Once he stood back up, he had to dive out of the way again when it sped towards him a second time. The third time he had to dive out of the way, it slammed into a wall and dazed itself from the impact. Its thruster overheated and the vents on its back were busy releasing the excess heat. He rushed up to it and tossed an explosive inside of its thruster then had to jump back.

Fire erupted from the small space and the abomination bellowed in pain at the heat engulfing its back. It fell on the ground and used the blood to extinguish the flames that caught on its back and quickly stood up. A hateful glare from its red eye was seen and it slammed its fist on the ground several times, making it shake with each strike. Its arm raised and it fired several impact grenades at him while stomping towards him. He kept having to dive or jump out of the way to avoid an explosion or two.

He grunted when an explosion impacted his shields and stripped it away. Raising his DMR, he fired two times and managed to hit two of its eyes, causing it to bellow in pain once more. It learned from his attacks and used its hand to shield its face while aiming its arm at him. Colossal footsteps echoed throughout the chamber as its feet slammed against the ground and it made its way closer to him. The machinery shifting was heard and the barrels of the minigun split in separate directions to cover more ground.

The grenade launcher transformed several times and he saw a bright orange glow within its barrel. He spun out of the way when a laser shot from it and made a smoking hole in the wall. Countless rounds impacted the ground in several directions and he had to weave his way through each stream of gunfire. He rushed towards it and slid between its legs, spinning out of the way when it raised its foot and slammed it against the ground.

His shotgun was brought out and he placed it against the side of its and fired several times. The loud bark of the gun rang out throughout the chamber and it roared loudly in pain. Just as he was about to bring out the Binary Rifle or the Boltshot, he grabbed him and raised it up to its face and squeezed. He grunted in pain as his shields started to flare up in response. With a flick of both his hands, he threw two throwing knives into two of its eyes and made it drop him. He fell to the ground and rolled to the side when it raised its arm and slammed it against the ground.

He went between its feet again and brought out the Binary Rifle, placing against the open wound in its knee and firing. The remaining eyes widened in agony and it roared so loud that it made his ears ring before he shook his head and jumped back. Its leg started to disintegrate and he watched it grab its stomach and slash at it with its clawed arm. With one fluid motion, it cut itself in half and he watched its lower portion disintegrate.

When he looked back at it, he saw it convulse in place for several seconds before the grotesque sound of muscles shifting and bones cracking were heard. Red and white fluid shot from its lower half and a large abdomen erupted. Eight legs shot from its new body and a scorpion tail flicked into place, splattering fluid all over the ground. Its upper half shot upwards and it inspected its new lower half before staring at him and raising its head, giving out a new insect-like noise. It scuttled towards him at the speed of a truck and tried to strike him with its tail.

He jumped out of the way and aimed his weapon at its new tail before jumping out of the way when it struck at him again. The third time, it struck the ground so hard that it got stuck and it screeched in rage. He wasted no time in placing his shotgun against the joint and firing three times. A wet tearing noise was heard as it whipped its tail back in agony, leaving the stinger in the ground. Its legs were his new targets and he decided to focus on them first.

It fired both the grenades and its minigun at him, keeping him on the move for the next minute. He used the blood to skid around and avoid the blood before he managed to skid next to its first leg. Using his body, he slammed himself against its joint and a sickening crack was heard. The leg bent at an awkward angle and it screeched at the pain it felt. It tried to stab him with another leg, but all he did was move out of the way and slam his fist against its joint, breaking that one as well.

He had to jump back a good distance when it leaned forwards then began to flail around wildly. It twitched erratically and its sharp legs and claws scrapped the room, creating large scratch marks inside of the walls. Once it was done, he aimed the Binary Rifle at two more of its legs and fired, making it violently tear those legs off and throw them at him. It leaned on one side and scrambled towards him like a rabid animal. It stopped when he shot the last of its smaller eyes out, leaving it with only one large one left.

Its large clawed hand shot towards him and he jumped up in the air, slamming down onto it. He gripped one of its fingers, and with all his strength, snapped it in the opposite direction. A thunderous crack was heard and it flicked him off of it, making him slam into a wall. He grunted and got back up before firing at the rest of its legs, making it tear them off when it realized they were disintegrating. It was immobile now and he decided to finish this once and for all.

Using the Binary Rifle, he shot both of its arms a few times and made it rip one of them off before chewing the other one off as well. It screeched and tried to hobble towards him but he rushed at it and slammed his fist upwards, making its head shoot up. He hooked himself around the back of its neck and planted his feet. It's last eye widened when he wrapped his arms on the sides of its face and started to pull with all his might.

He grunted in exertion and the sound of flesh tearing started to be heard. Like wet rubber bands, the flesh started to tear away and a red substance leaked from the torn muscles. He twisted and pulled for several long seconds before growling one and heaving upwards with all his strength. Blood sprayed in the air and splattered against the ground as he ripped its head from its shoulders. He tossed the head away and it tumbled onto the ground. It's eye flicked around wildly before shooting from its socket when he jumped on its decapitated head and crushed it like a watermelon.

The eye stared at him one last time before it started to disappear slowly, along with the rest of the body.

Bending down onto a knee, he started to feel the small amount of pain within his body. His armor and undersuit soaked up a majority of the damage, but there was still some faint traces there. Getting slammed into the wall several times wasn't a fun thing to do, and he was glad he killed it when he did. With several deep breaths, he stood back up and stared at Merlot's face.

"Find me the quickest way to him." He said.

"Already on it." Auspicious said before giving him an objective marker.

"..." He stared at Merlot's face morphing into terror before walking down the path he was given.

Merlot stumbled as he ran through the halls. He should have had this under control, like everything else. This wasn't supposed to happen. Years of his work went down the drain before his eyes and the worst thing was that the beast he spent years enhancing was killed within ten or fifteen minutes. No... he wouldn't die here... he'd have to start again. He had just received a new test subject and this wouldn't be the end of him.

He was snapped out of his thoughts when the lights went out. His cybernetic eye illuminated and allowed him to see in the dark, although it was all red. He looked around the quiet area and had to step over several dead bodies. So many of his trusted associates were lying here, and to make matters worse, they were almost as bright as he was. If it wasn't for them, then Remnant wouldn't have learned so much about Grimm. Atlas wouldn't be the top in the world. Remnant would...

A scraping noise was heard and he stopped in his tracks. It was in front of him and he backed up, only to whirl around when another scraping noise was heard behind him. Another one to his left and right made him whirl around in several directions trying to pinpoint the source of the sound. He clutched his ears and shouted for a few seconds, only to look around to hear that it stopped altogether. It was as if it was never there in the first place.

"I just need to-" He didn't get to finish before he turned around and a scalpel was lodged in his cybernetic eye. A guttural scream tore its way out of his throat as he clutched the handle of the surgical tool. He stumbled backwards and tripped over one of the bodies, still clutching the handle. The sound of something walking towards him didn't make it to his ears since he was too busy screaming.

A hand gripped the scalpel and twisted it before harshly ripping it out, making him scream any louder. His hair was gripped and he was dragged off into the darkness, kicking and screaming the whole way down.

Six ignored the man's screaming before taking him to an operating room he had found earlier. His hands wrapped around one of Merlot's legs and bent it backwards. A loud, sickening crack was heard from the older man but it was largely ignored. He slammed Merlot onto the operating table before strapping him down and ripping open his shirt.

He took off his cloak and hung it up nearby before grabbing several tools and a syringe full of a strange liquid. The cart was wheeled in front of them and he put the light in front of Merlot's face, blinding him.

"This syringe if full of a substance one of your acolytes designed and tested. From what I read, it enhances your sensitivity to stimulus." Six's voice rang out. It was calm, too calm, but beneath it was a cold rage that only a few had the pleasure of experiencing.

"We can talk about this-" Merlot's eye widened in pain when Six injected the syringe and pushed the liquid into his veins.

"You talk when I let you, otherwise enjoy the experience... I know I certainly will." Six tilted his head, picking up a clean scalpel and ripping open Merlot's pant leg.

"No, no, no, no, no!" Merlot's eyes widened when he saw the blade go to a certain part. Six tilted his head to the other side before slowly sinking the scalpel into Merlot's leg, right on top of his Sciatic Nerve. The slicing of flesh was heard, but it was overlapped by the agonized scream of the victim. Six took two fingers and he spread the flesh carefully to get a better look at the inside. He let go and gently placed the scalpel on the cart before grabbing a small blowtorch and placing it against the wound.

He watched Merlot thrash around wildly in agony when the scalding, hot flame cooked the flesh and the nerve. He watched the man's eyes roll to the back of his skull in pain. After several seconds of that, he put the blowtorch to the side neatly before grabbing the scalpel again and placing it against his chest. He ignored another scream as he slowly cut open Merlot's chest cavity. It was deep enough for him to peel back a layer of flesh, but not deep enough to cut any organs.

No... Six was going to take his time.

"S-S-Stop this... I'll tell... you anything..." Merlot started to beg.

"Where have you been getting the children?" Six asked calmly, striking Merlot when he screamed at another layer of flesh peeled away.

"F-From all over the world!" Merlot shouted in agony.

"Are their parents or relatives alive?" Six asked, putting the scalpel away and grabbing a surgical saw.

"NO!" Merlot screamed when Six cut away at one of his fingers, breaking it off shortly after. The bone was exposed and Six took the blowtorch again before cooking the mutilated finger. The scent of burnt flesh was heavy in the air but his helmet blocked out the smell.

"Where are Salem's contacts?" He asked evenly, ignoring the pained scream when he snapped another bone and took another digit. When he didn't receive an answer, he stared at him before putting the blowtorch back on the Sciatic Nerve.

"Okay! Okay! Watts is in Atlas and Hazel is in Mistral!" He shouted before begging Six to stop. Six stopped for twenty seconds before going back to dissecting Merlot, keeping away from anything major. The chest cavity was exposed and Six brought the bone saw out, letting it gleam in the light before gently placing it against Merlot's clavicle. He paused for a second before viciously sawing away at the bone, ignoring the screams once more. Once the bone was away, he carefully broke several ribs away before tossing them in the garbage.

Blood spilled off the operating table and Six saw Merlot beginning to slip. He stabbed him with an adrenaline shot then continued to mutilate him in silence. Merlot screamed when Six took the scalpel and began to carve around his face. Once he was done tracing around, he gripped it harshly before slowly peeling away. Flesh tore with an audible squelching noise and the thrashing below only made it worse. With a small jerk, the face was ripped off and he held it up to the light with morbid curiosity. Six tilted his head before reaching in his bag and grabbing some alcohol, looking at Merlot before slowly pouring it on his face.

Red bubbles were seen from the reaction and Merlot shook and thrashed around as the burning sensation met his raw flesh. No matter how much he begged or began to cry, Six wouldn't listen or stop. He continued to cut away at him, carving him up like how he did with so many others. It only got worse when Six started to dig into his internal organs, pouring burning substances all over them or occasionally exposing them to the blowtorch.

It was pure agony and he thought he was in hell for a second. Six would ask a question and Merlot had no choice but to answer. This continued on for the next half an hour before he noticed Six seemed to get bored with him, like he was some disgusting toy that had expired. For some reason, it hurt knowing that he was nothing more than some used plaything.

"I'm done with him, he's told me all that he knows and I'm bored." Six turned to Auspicious.

"Oh splendid!" She beamed.

Merlot's eye widened when he saw the small construct float above him before her chassis clicked open. Several small wires came out before shooting towards his face. His eye rolled to the back of his skull when one of the wires wormed its way into the corner of his eye socket. Tendrils of blood leaked from it and two more wires went up his nose, slithering their way into his respiratory system and stabbing them viciously. He gagged as tears mixed in with the blood and four more wires went down his throat and sawed it like a chainsaw.

His whole body convulsed in agony as he was exposed to the torturous stimulus and the wires all contracted after exposing him to the worst pain imaginable.

"By all means, you shouldn't be alive, but your aura is doing its job in trying to keep you from dying. It truly is interesting in some cases." Six said before slicing Merlot and watching as the hallucinogenic started to kick in after a while. He unstrapped him and watched the man convulse in place, his eye turning bloodshot and darting around erratically.

Merlot's vision warped several times and he was suddenly in a black room. He couldn't move his body, speak, or see anything other than the dark void. When he looked up, he saw a tall figure gazing at him coldly. It was like death watching over him and it turned its gaze ahead. He followed its gaze and his expression turned to one of absolute dread at what he saw. Something that he didn't think he'd ever come across again.

Right in front of him were the countless victims he had experimented on in the past. Each one skinny and had a slightly crazed look, they stared at him and he could faintly hear growling, not from their throats, but from their stomachs. The tall figure raised its hand and snapped once, making the past victims scramble over one another towards him. Their mouths opened revealing razor sharp teeth and he begged them to stay back. They all pounced on him and started to eat him alive.

Muscles, ligaments, tendons, organs, and blood were flying all over the area. Each one of their teeth stripped away at his flesh like a pack of piranhas, caking their faces in gore as he screamed in sheer terror and agony. Their teeth and claws tore at everything, leaving nothing unscathed. His organs flew in the air and splattered all over the ground while some of them pushed each other out of the way to get at him. His limbs were pulled apart and the flesh stretched and tore easily. The cracking of bone was heard as they slurped on the blood from his marrow and chewed on his skeleton. Filling their almost bottomless stomachs as they feasted themselves on him.

"..." Six just watched as Merlot literally tore himself to shreds, ripping his skin apart and ripping his organs out before throwing them all across the room. He listened to the man plead to the figures he was hallucinating, begging them to stop and let him fix them. All the Spartan could do was shake his head and grab his cloak before throwing it over himself after washing the blood off. He took one last look at Merlot's body going still after a while before leaving and heading down to where the children were.

It was finally time to leave this nightmare.

The children huddled together inside the box, peeking out at the strange robot floating above them. They had finished the can of food that was left for them before jumping and pressing their backs against the box when the door moved. Six opened the door and entered it, bending down when Myne scampered towards him and threw her arms around him. He picked her up and carried her in his left arm while he bent down to stare at the others.

They stared at him back and gulped when he collected the container and put it in his bag. He held out his hand and waited for Isaac to take it, gently lifting him up into a standing position. This process was repeated with each one, lifting them up gently while keeping them close. Myne cried some more and he wasn't bothered by it, keeping a hand on her back and rubbing it in circles to sooth her a bit. She fell asleep after a minute of walking, leaving the others with him.

He stopped and bent down when Isaac tugged on his cloak.

"Um..." He shuffled nervously.

"What is it?" Six asked calmly.

"D-Did you find any of the others." Isaac asked in the same tone.

"..." Six shook his head and he watched the boy sag a bit. He wasn't lying when he said that these seven were the only ones alive. The ones who were nothing but... masses of flesh and were stuck in the androids had been put out of their misery. That was no way to live and he wouldn't ever want anybody as innocent as them to live like that anyways. It didn't matter if they were adults or children.

"Are we getting out of here?" One of them asked.

"You are." He nodded. Their eyes watered a bit and they rubbed the tears away before nodding and following him up to an elevator. The bodies were gone at this point seeing how he disintegrated them before picking them up. They had been exposed to enough death for now, and it was time for them to finally be free. He had to stop a few times to wait for one of them but he didn't mind.

The one with the bleeding foot was picked up in his other arm and he carried her, walking slow enough for the others to trail behind him easily. Each one of them huddled close to him when they realized how quiet the halls were. They clutched his cloak for safety and he had to set the one in his right arm down to press the elevator button. They went to the ground floor and waited for thirty seconds.

Once the doors opened, they followed him and stuck close by as he led them outside. The warm air met their faces and their feet felt weird when they met something other than the cold metal. He stopped when they gazed around at the outside and their eyes locked onto the rising sun.

"Don't stare at the sun, it's bad for your eyes." He said. His calm voice put their nerves at ease, it was different from the countless guards and scientists'. Theirs was cold, a cruel evil underneath their initial tone of voice. His was different, not a single one of them could put their finger on it though. There was something odd about him, but in a good sense. It made them feel strangely safe for some reason.

He sat down on the ground and put the other child down, letting her tiny feet dig into the sand. Myne was gently shaken awake and all nine of them waited for the next ten minutes in silence. A ship appeared and they huddled behind him as it lowered and kicked up some wet and dry sand in several directions. It turned around and the bay doors opened before it landed on the ground. Everything was quiet for a second before Maaya slowly walked down the ramp.

Her eyes watered and she gasped while covering her mouth. She slowly started to run towards Myne while the little girl did the same, tears leaking down her eyes. Sand kicked up as the two ran towards one another before Maaya scooped her daughter into her arms and held her tightly. Six heard them crying and he stood up, looking around every so often while just letting them have their moment. It was good for him to just stick in the background, just as he's always been.

Maaya kissed Myne's forehead and just held her, keeping her close as if she'd disappear again. She rocked back and forth gently while rubbing her tears away every so often and did this for the next few minutes. He heard Maaya tell her that she was safe now and that they could go home, but he knew it wouldn't quite be the same. Myne would have nightmares, then she'd feel the weight of what she went through, then hold new people with a newfound suspicion. As she grew older, she'd probably become colder and more jaded.

Just like him.

He didn't want that though, he didn't want his pup to go what he went through growing up. No, he'd divert her off that path of damnation; one full of nothing but pain and agony. A sea of red that would forever taint her innocent soul. When he looked at the other children, he saw innocent souls. Scared, timid, little lights that been thrust into the darkness of the cruel universe and that's all they've ever known. The ones who couldn't be saved didn't hurt his soul as much as it should have.

If anything, he felt relieved that they were finally free from this godforsaken place. It was a shame they didn't get to live to see the rising sun or feel the warm air on their skin. It was the way of the universe; it was naturally cruel to some and favorable towards others. The universe tried to chew him up into nothing, but he fought back when it spit him out, came back stronger and continued to do so.

He held his hand out to them and they stared at it for several seconds. Their tiny hands clasped his fingers and wrapped around it and they looked at him. He could see some of the light make its way into their eyes when they realized they were truly escaping this place. He knelt down to their level and looked at each one, seeing the tears leak from their eyes and down their soft cheeks.

The sun beat down on them from the side and it reflected against their tears. He heard the sand shift behind him and turned to see Maaya walk towards them with Myne's hand in hers. She stopped a bit behind him and looked at them curiously, not being bothered by their slightly distrustful glances. It was the same look Myne had when that disgusting sack of flesh, Tyrian decided to rear his ugly head out.

She knelt down next to Six and closed her eyes before smiling at them. It wasn't like the smiles they received from the scientists, this one was warm like the sun and it made their hearts beat joyfully. She didn't see them as freaks like the other adults did, she saw them as innocent children who needed love and support from this point on. She wanted to wipe away their tears but felt that it was pushing her boundaries, so she just remained at a distance and smiled at them.

"Let's leave this place, yeah? It's a lot warmer where we live." She gently smiled at them. They nodded at her and kept their hands locked with Six's, while Maaya carried Myne in her arms. She hummed a gentle tune as they walked towards the ship and entered it.

The door closed when they all entered and it took off shortly after they did. It rose in the air, pushing water and sand in several directions and it gained altitude. All of the occupants felt themselves sighing in relief the further away they got from the island. Pretty soon, the vehicle wasn't anywhere to be seen as an energy started to accumulate at the location.

It made a warping noise and pulsed several times before a colossal explosion shook the area. It rumbled across the water and air, carrying the loud sound countless miles before going still after a while. The island turned to ash and everything in it was destroyed, leaving nothing left to salvage from its remains. Just as it was unknown by many, it ceased to exist from this point on.

The Island of Nightmares was no more.

This marks the finale of this arc. To be honest, I felt it could have been a lot longer, but I didn't want to have it too long. It was already like... five chapters long so there's that. I think I'm going to just skip answering reviews this chapter, don't know why but I just do. I'll try to address reviews next chapter since I enjoy it sometimes.

So someone asked me about expanding the WTWA lore with another side story and I have thought about it. I mean, it's interesting; to get to address characters that were mentioned but never brought up. To be honest, it may or may not work considering I already have an idea on what it would be like. It really depends on how far I take this story. Don't really know, only time will tell.

Played Halo Infinite and it was kind of... meh. It's still fun, don't get me wrong, but I felt it could have been a lot better. There's so many mistakes and don't get me started on the customization; that was disappointing. I just hope they actually tweak it once Halo Infinite actually drops the 8th. Still better than Vanguard and Battlefield, which is a shame because I enjoyed the previous Battlefield installments.

Anyways, sorry if Merlot's torture wasn't longer. I wish I did it longer, but the boss fight kind of sucked the energy from me and I'm a little tired. So forgive me if the chapter isn't great, I tried in the end.

Anyways, see ya everyone.
