A/N:

Please go back and read all new chapters, that begin with either "11th Hour" or "Interlude". As, given the original fic "What's in a Destiny", has a lot of interconnected moments with "Lord Uzumaki", I decided to combine the 2 fics into one.

Trunks woke with a start. Looking around, he now found himself in a luxurious room. It took a moment for him to remember, King Vegeta had invited him, and Frieza, to live in the Palace... they had finally been accepted by family.

These last few years had been hard, but it all worked out... just like he wanted when he made his wish.

Looking out the window. Trunks saw the sea of Capsule Corp Portable Houses. There were a few thousand of them. Adding up to roughly 10 thousand residents... 10 thousand, out of a population of 42 billion. And that included non-Saiyan family members, and their hybrid children.

It been a few years, and Cooler had set up base here, so many of his "pets" had mated with Saiyans.

Given how passionate Saiyans are, some had fallen into the comforts of their alien friends. Which resulted in mating instincts claiming those that comforted them.

Saiyans mate for life, after all, and tended to jump into that union, much faster then humans. Particularly when their heats aggravate them... which can often be triggered by bloodlust and violence. Which the Saiyans were feeling, by the thousands, after losing their planet. Since the Saiyans came to Earth Kai, many hybrid children had been born.

So much had happened in recent years. Like how his Grandfather, King Vegeta, had negotiated with the Global President, to officially recognize the empty desert they claimed, as their own territory.

The Saiyans even got a good deal of assistance, though paid for by Cooler trading blueprints of minor Technologies. Especially from Capsule Corp, who had the means to actually reverse engineer what they were given.

The company made them custom houses. Which were much harder to destroy, given Saiyan tempers, and windows that blocked out the waves of the moon. Allowing for the Saiyans to see it, without turning into a Kaiju.

Trunks had helped, despite getting a less then ideal reunion, with his Grandfather. They had gone through a rough period. Where King Vegeta had trouble accepting his time traveling grandson. Given the man recognized who Frieza was, and thereby, knew Trunks was responsible for the destruction of their planet.

Thankfully, due to the Doctor's and Prince Cooler's influence, Trunks' grandfather had come to terms with that... and now fully accepted his grandson. Even letting him move into his palace, and granting him the title of "Prince". Which Trunks was supposed to learn, just what that entailed, later today.

Somehow, Prince Cooler and his entire fleet, being brought with the Saiyans, seemed to be a good thing. As the man was the "pet owner" of a Saiyan child, and thereby considered himself family.

Cooler, wasn't like his father, King Cold. Yes, he believed his species was superior to Sapient lifeforms. Even believed other Sapients were merely animals, that can talk... but in that regard, he thought of himself as an "Animal Lover".

He might not acknowledge any lifeform, that wasn't his own species, as "people", but that doesn't mean he didn't love those under his care... and all his "pets" loved him in return. It was probably just Stockholm Syndrome, on their part, but they held a great respect for the man.

Cooler ended up moving his fleet around the system, and claiming the whole Star Cluster as his own. However, it was more an "Animal Sanctuary", then something he directly ruled. This made it so other Frost Demons would stay out... including King Cold.

Cooler, had informed his father, that he would be tending to this Star Cluster for the next couple centuries, and to keep out. Which, to Cold, sounded more like an adorable child, working on a model kit for a few hours. So he left "the boy" too his own devices.

Cooler even agreed to hide Frieza from his father. Even acknowledging that Frieza was better off in Trunks care, as opposed to King Cold's.

Everything had just kinda, worked out.

King Vegeta, stood on his balcony, watching his new Kingdom.

It was true, at first he had trouble accepting his grandson, from the future. It took a lot, to get over the need to blame him for the planet's destruction, but fact was, the blame lay solely with King Cold.

Being a king, in the space age, Vegeta was occasionally faced with instances of Time Travelers. At least his grandson had tried to prevent the destruction of their world. With his greatest crime being, "failing to save their people".

King Vegeta was able to come to terms with the fact, the time abnormality, wasn't actually responsible for their homeworld's destruction. That he did everything he could to save it, and when that didn't work... the boy brought the survivors together.

It was the least King Vegeta could do, to lay claim to the cub... despite how much his head hurt at the child's existence.

Frieza should be thousands of years old. But instead, he was the equivalent of a human 12 year old. Where Trunks, himself, who had somehow been with the kid for over a hundred years, but had only aged a single year. Trunks' explanation was "Time runs by it's own rules, in the TARDIS." as helpful as that is.

Regardless of the how, the young hybrid was the equivalent of a young man, just old enough to be chosen by a female... which meant Vegeta, now that he accepted the boy into his pack, had certain responsibilities to present the boy to a suitable mate.

That usually fell to the female mother... but King Vegeta's wife had been killed by King Cold. As a means of punishing Vegeta for some imagined grievance... best not to dwell on such things. She died well, and he should be proud of that.

This meant, it was now Vegeta's duty to find suitable mates for the cubs in his care. While Females may choose their mate, males would attend gatherings, and perform tribal dances, to let the females know they were looking.

Vegeta would have to start teaching the boy how to dance. A very specific dance, that would speak all his intentions.

The child had explained he was "gay". Which apparently did not mean he was "happy", but rather that he desired a male mate. Humans have words for everything.

That wouldn't be an issue, at least not to Saiyans, who were largely "bi". King Vegeta imagined he could find some female, that would be willing to let her mate take a consort. It was a fairly common practice, in Saiyan culture.

There were even dance moves, so Trunks could express he wished to be a consort, with no interest in breeding with the female.

Not wanting to breed with a female at all, might be known to the Saiyans, to the point they had a dance move to express it. However, that would make him less desirable to add to a pack.

Hopefully, the notoriety of claiming a prince, would outweigh that character flaw. After all, a consort was expected to help with the Cubs, the cooking, the cleaning, and protecting the home. They were basically the male equivalent of a "Traditional Wife" on this planet.

A more submissive male partner, was of great interest to many females... but again they would already have to have a mate, as Trunks wouldn't be willing to satisfy her.

King Vegeta was, admittedly, a tad worried no pack would want the boy. Especially given, he had a Frost Demon for a ward... there was no dance move to indicate THAT, but there was one for adopted alien ward... it just be a nasty surprise what KIND of Alien.

Of course, most in the village had already heard about Trunks and Frieza. Though, thankfully, they had come to accept them. Still, it was one thing to accept the child into the village, and another into their pack.

Ironically, him being guardian to Cold's youngest son, displaced in time, resulted in Cooler frequently checking in on them. Which was the reason Vegeta had been forced to get to know the boy... and was now ashamed of how resistant he had been.

Cooler wasn't exactly warm, to the idea, either. He was acting, as if the small child, was being literally raised by wolves. Which didn't really surprise King Vegeta, as Frost Demons thought of all other lifeforms as inferior to them.

Their overwhelming power levels, and 10,000 year lifespans, made it extremely difficult for them to relate to other species.

Truthfully, Vegeta was surprised Cooler was allowing it. It was almost as if Cooler, himself, didn't know why. The "young" Frost Demon was just compelled, not to split the family.

As Shenron said, he knew how to grant a wish.
