Rwby: A Gutsy world
A/n you will probably notice that there was no villain scenes in the last chapter that's because Guts is in completely in the dark with them and as such has no idea of there plot. And I'm trying to give that same feeling to the audience. I know many of you seen the series so it's kinda easy to see but I hope it goes well anyways. As such onto the story

Chapter 4
Beacon
Guts laid back down in the hospital bed as the doctors looked him over for the wounds again.
He was soon sent on his way again but this time in a lot less pain the doctors stating that he had missed that would thinking it was only a scar.
Still Guts was fully on the mend now and in a weeks time he was fully allowed to fight again.
For now he sat in his room tinkering with his hand as well as thinking about his past.
'I wonder what Casca is doing now?' Probably either taking up my mantle or dealing with my funeral.' Guts though
Suddenly there was a knock at the door Guts opened it and found Yang standing there.
"Yang?" Guts asked
"Yea can I, um can I talk to you?" She asked
Guts nodded and allowed her in she sat down on his bed and looked at her hands
Guts noticed she was shaking.
"I just… after the history you've told us about yourself I feel like you have probably the best experience out of all of us and well. You've also dealt with my problems too." Yang said
Guts just waited for her to finish which wasn't long as she looked up determined
"I want to get a better control of my semblance." She said
Guts nodded "very well. I will help you." Guts said
Guts and Yang met every day weither it was outside in his room or in the training arena differed. However the one thing that didn't was his goal. What he wanted Yang to feel and accomplish.
"I want you to get as angry as you can but don't lose focus of me." Guts said Yang nodded
However whenever Guts went to trigger Yangs rage she saw red.
The first time it was in Guts room and she flew at him with a punch. Which he very easily blocked caught and disarmed her of.
He held her in that position until her semblance shut off.
"Gods damn it!" She screamed as she dropped to the floor.
"Hey hey no worries we have to start somewhere." Guts said as he put a gentle hand on her shoulder
Yang nodded
Guts stood up picking Yang up with him.
"Ok let's see what we can do this time activate your semblance but note the exact time that you lose focus on me.
Yang did just that even if the final outcome was the same this time Guts twisted her arm and threw her down on the ground when she went to hit him with her other fist.
Yang relaxed and Guts got off her. She sighed
"Ok Well I've been able to see my semblance but I can't fully activate it unless I lose control." Yang said
Guts nodded "then I guess we will begin with over time we will start with you just shy under the point of where you lose focus and slowly add more power/anger." Guts said
Yang nodded as she stood up
"Shall we do that now?" Yang asked
"No it's far too late anyway, but I also have homework for you." Guts said
"Ugh Homework?" Yang asked rolling her eyes teasingly
"Yes homework. Tonight before you go to bed I want you to activate your semblance but I want you to limit the anger to only the point before you lose focus. And hold it for as long as possible." Guts said
Yang nodded "ok…" she said
Guts put a hand on her shoulder and gave a squeeze. " you've got a long way to go I won't lie but you are on a very good path and are in very good hands." Guts said
"Ok…when are we going to meet again?" Yang asked
"Whenever we meet each other in the halls tell me how it goes. We will physically meet after dinner." Guts said
Yang nodded and left the room.
The week along well and by the time of the end of the week Yang had control over her semblance and anger to the point where she would be comfortable to use most of her power and not lose control.
Guts guts had been heading to meet Yang when he got a text from Ozpin
"Send a message to teams RWBY and JNPR Ironwood is here."
Guts did just that sending a group chat to team RWBY and JNPR to meet at Ozpin office. Before sending another message to Yang apologizing for having to cancel the meeting."
Yang texted back with "it's fine."
Guts headed over to Ozpin office. And met with team RWBY and JNPR together outside
Guts walked up and noticed Glynda goodwitch heading to ozpins office.
"Shall we go in?" Ruby asked
"No at least not you two." Glynda said pointing to RWBY and JNPR. "I'll get you when you should come in Wait in this room until I get you." Glynda said
"Wait but what about Guts?" Yang asked
"With the exact order of the situation Guts was fast tracked to be an order member. Without Ironwood knowing. We should allow James to get use to that shock first before revealing your insight as well." Glynda said
"Sounds fare enough." Jaune said even if the others didn't agree with it but they accepted it. And we're lead to another part of the room.
Guts and Glynda walked in with With Glynda standing on Ozpin left side and Guts standing on the other. As all three of them watched out of the massive window.
As Guts looked at the massive fleet of sky ships.
"Ironwood certainly brings his work wherever he travels." Glynda said
"Well running an academy and a military makes him a busy man but yes those are a bit of an eyesore." Ozpin said
"I thought dust didn't work the farther you got away from the planet?" Guts said
"True but. With Atlas's advancement in dust technology as well as fuel efficiency counteracts that limit of dust. The further your away from the planet…" Ozpin said
"Hm it makes me wonder why Vale doesn't have an Air Force heck even Griffith did with he founded his own kingdom." Guts said
"I assume it was made of Apostle's." Glynda asked
"Of course. I highly doubt my humanity would have gotten off the ground any time soon. We were still using horse drawn carriages, not cars." Guts said
There was a beep on the deck as a alert of Ironwood was asking to enter.
"That's Ironwood get ready." Ozpin said as he turned
"Come in." Ozpin said and sure enough General James Ironwood stepped forward.
"Ozpin!"
"General." Ozpin said as he walked closer
"Please drop the formalities it's been to long… and Glynda it has certainly been to long since we last met." James said
"Oh James… I'll be outside." She said as she walked out.
"Well she hasn't changed a bit…-who are you?" James asked as he started to draw his gun.
"Someone who's gonna cut your other arm off if you finish drawing that pistol." Guts said
That alone made Ironwood freeze. He hid his metal hand quite well. Not even all his staff knew about it yet this guy who he never met knew his secret.
"How did you-?"
"An amputee can tell another apart as clear as day." Guts said mysteriously.
This confused General Ironwood even more finally turning to Ozpin to ask only to be presented with a cup of coffee he reluctantly let go of his revolver and grabbed the cup handle.
"So who is he Ozpin?" Ironwood said
"Guts…is Qrow's endorsement." Ozpin said
"A child?" Ironwood grumbled.
"I'm actually 24 thank you. Besides I can handle myself." Guts said
"How?" Ironwood said
"It's too complicated to explain right now. For now let's go with Guts is a trusted ally of myself, Qrow and Glynda and we have fast tracked him to becoming a member of the order." Ozpin said
"Isn't that a bit much Ozpin?" Ironwood said
"Seeing as the enemy might have gotten a power boost I'd say it's not exactly enough." Guts said
"Yet another reason why we asked you to be here physically James." Ozpin said
"Well you asked me nicely how could I say no? Besides you know how much I love Vale this time of year." Ironwood said as he poured a bit of alcohol into his coffee.
"True but you have to admit the situation is somewhat concerning…" Ozpin said
"Oz you told me why I should bring my men and I listened." James said but Ozpin raised his hand to cut him off.
"It's not a concern about you but rather how the citizens will view it." Ozpin said
"But of what Qrow said is true…"
"If what Qrow said is true and or what Guts says is true then we have very little we can actually do besides hope." Ozpin said
"And what does Guts say that's so controversial all of a sudden?" James asked
"That She has powers from outside this world. And will make her powers over the Grimm look like child's play." Guts said
James looked uneasy and asked the question "What's your proof?"
"Did you see the footage of the fight at the dock's?" Guts said
"Now I recognize you! You were the guy that went mad and fought that Giant! There wasn't anything of him on the physical news I assumed it was cut." James said
"It was censored for damage control." Ozpin said
"Your sounding like an evil dictator Censoring the press?" James asked
"It's for the best. I will show you the unedited version caught by one of our drones to you and you will understand." Ozpin said as he showed the video through the hologram.
"By the time the video was Finished James needed a chair. Guts gave it to him.
"What the fuck was that?" James asked
"That was an Apostle, a previous human that went through a ritual to give up his or her humanity to become a beast for extra power. They were the Grimm of my world. And I hunted them single-handedly." Guts said
"But Qrow told me of the apostle's you fought before. A dog beast and a hybrid of Grimm. This one didn't look at all like a Grimm." James said
" that's due to me. The Grimm feed off emotions. And from my anger I opened a portal to the astral world without having the Giant having to be fused with Grimm. This made him as strong if not stronger than before when I fought him originally." Guts said
"And you believe that our enemy has that power along with everything else?" James asked
"Before we continue this we need to introduce a few others." Ozpin said
"Others?" James said
"While I was at the Docks I wasn't alone a full team of Huntresses were with me, they saw the magic with their own eyes them along with there sister team have been given the introduction of the brotherhood." Ozpin said
"Who?" James asked as the door opened again and in walked Teams RWBY and JNPR.
"Introducing teams RWBY and JNPR. And If you agree they will bulk up the order by quiet a large margin." Ozpin said
"Can you validate there combat experience?" James asked Guts.
"They would have a hard time with an Actual apostle. But I'd say that they could deal with the Grimm counterpart." Guts nodded
Ironwood nodded
"Very well I-." James stopped as he met eyes with Weiss "Ms. Schnee a pleasure."
Weiss bowed.
"Ms Nikos, another person who I can say definitely fills the roll." James said
Pyrrha bowed in honor.
"And finally Ms Rose. You have…"
"Silver Eyes, I know…" Ruby nodded and her eyes glowed showing she started already to unlock her powers.
James smiled impressed.
"From what I heard your mother only got a start on her powers when she was in her third year you do, her proud girl." James said
James turned back to Ozpin.
"They have my vote." He said
"Excellent! Now we can start the meeting." Ozpin said
"RWBY JNPR." Guts waved them to him
They stood besides Guts with Ruby leaning on his shoulder.
"So what's the plan going forward?" James asked
"The plan going forward is to lay low." Guts said
James sighed
"Sorry I guess I did kinda mess up with bringing my army with me." James apologied
"Not to worry we have that already covered. As we figured that you will play the best part as joint forces with Vale as security for the festival."
"Joint?" James said
"Officially only so we members of the brotherhood can be on standby." Guts said
James was confused and turned to Ozpin. "What happened?" He asked
Ozpin sighed and pushed a button putting the room into lockdown shutting off all cameras and voice recorders in the room.
"The Vytal festival has been compromised." Ozpin said
"What?" James asked
With the knowledge that Torchwick has of my world and history leads me to believe they have access to apostle's as well Share a similar goal although from what I've heard She and them don't have anything in common as ideas but things can change. Desperation makes people do stupid stuff." Guts said
"I'm sorry who?" Yang asked
Guts and Ruby looked to Ozpin and nodded
"The tale of the girl in the tower Yang the real tale… Ozpins accounts of being cursed.
"Holy shit!" Weiss said
"That's…messed up…" Pyrrha said
"Talk about marriage counseling." Nora said
Ozpin smiled
"Unfortunately that didn't exist when we remet." Ozpin said
"How do you know that torchwick is the inline with them?" James asked
"That is in thanks to Ms Rose in countering Roman torchwick and having to be rescued by someone who used magic. Even if I didn't recognize it at the Time." Glynda said
Guts shook his head "you have nothing to blame Glynda they hid it well."
"So are we to consider that this is the same person who attacked fall?" James asked
"It is believed, as they focused entirely on fire magic." Ozpin said
"Falls specialty…" James muttered
"And with the recent string of robberies. Some even in broad daylight. We jumped to the conclusion that they are planning to move sometime soon. and seeing as another major event is happening." Weiss said
James nodded "yes it is entirely possible they plan to attack the Vytal festival. Very well I will plan for this contingency. However, I don't have the exact manpower for it right now. I have a few new shipment's that will help boost overall power." James said
"Overall power?" Guts asked
"For years Atlas has been experimenting with powered armor skeletons. I plan to show them off as a demonstration for the Vytal festival to placate any fears and strengthen our hold. Unfortunately they were not ready to transport by the time we shipped off. The rest of the fleet including my Flagship the ATT fist will arrive in a few days with a few months. I have a few combat prototypes but not armored one." James said
"Hmm." Guts said
"What is it?" Blake asked
"How do you feel about laying a trap General?"
"What do you mean?"
"A way to force the enemy's hand as well as to find out there strength and strategy." Guts said
Glynda and Ozpin looked at each other uneasy. As did the other two teams but the General turned interested
"I'm listening." He said
"We know that, Roman torchwick is stealing military grade hardware. Dust to provide an army, possibly the white fang, possibly another criminal syndicate or even both.
"And you just brought suits of armor capable of breaching beacon and vale wrapped in a tight bow." Ruby said understanding where Guts was going.
"Shit I didn't think of that." James hissed.
"But we can use this." Guts said
"How?" James asked
"Why We let them be stolen." Guts said
"I'm sorry what?"
"Allowing the enemy to steal the weapons to strengthen there army and get them closer to there goal of destroying beacon how do you take that as a good idea?!" Weiss said
Jaune jumped in his head clicking
"Because then they would have to hide them,"
"Most likely where they would be easily able to moblize for the attack at sudden notice." Ren said
"And if we track them…" Guts added.
"We can figure out where there base of operations is and seize it stopping the attack. And saving vale." James said
"Close but no." Guts said
"What do you mean?" Blake asked
"Your all thinking of the role of peacekeepers. Going from one crisis to the next to stop it. When your really inside a war of attrition." Guts said
"Shit." James hissed
"Stop one plot, another will begin." Ren said
Guts nodded "most Likely out of the pieces of the previous plan."
"So then what's the plan actually?" Ozpin asked Guts. He hadn't fought in wars for a long time. But Guts was a fresh set of eyes.
"First we need to remember 1: the headquarters of our enemy is not here. Salem is not leading this attack." Guts said
Ozpin sighed "so this is one of her lackies." Ozpin nodded
"Probably there overall plan is to just consolidate power." Guts said
"So you're thinking the attack of Vale all the time is a cover for the assailants' attack on Fall." Glynda said
"It is reasonable. After all. From what you've said the relics can only be opened by a maiden, I don't know if it works by half's but most likely the enemy doesn't want to risk it." Guts said
"So this isn't about destroying the enemy army." James
"But preventing an theft of beacon." Glynda said
Guts nodded.
"There is very few people I trust with the information discussed in this room. But it's clear that fall will either need to be moved or to be guarded at all times." James said
"Well with you overlooking the Vytal festival you have that ability." Ozpin said
"True and I will work deploy them but first tell me more about this exact plan." James said to Guts.
"Well basically we set a lure to have the white fang steal the prototype's first by announcing them. Then leaving them "unguarded" once the theft has taken place. Open an investigation. And Me and Team Rwby will search for the theif around town." Guts explained.
"It's pretty reasonable that the white fang will be the ones to steal it and I'm sure I can find a few hideouts and rallies. And with any luck they will speak of where they are hiding the actual equipment. For us to know later." Blake said
"Plus with this we can have several other people we can chat up with and find out exactly how extensive. There network it." Yang said
"Very well." James said
"What about us?" Jaune asked
"Unfortunately there isn't much for you to do? However with the fact we need people to stand guard for fall." Guts said
Jaune nodded "it's not thrilling but it's nessessary we will do it." He said
"So when we find the location of where they are staging the attack what then?" James ask.
"We force their hand. Either have them attack early. Or if we're lucky we can stop them from attacking altogether. Even if we fail the attack won't be as devastating. As the full attack and will throw the enemy for a loop." Guts said.
"Another reason you want us on standby."Jaune said
Guts nodded. "Just in case we fail I want you nearby to help stem the tide."
The team nodded to each other.
"Well do it." Pyrrha said
"Excellent. Worry not however you will be compensated for this even if you don't see action." James said
Guts nodded and turned to Ozpin "so speaking of which where is Qrow?"
Ruby and Yang paused as they waited to hear news of there uncle.
Ozpin sighed "I'm afraid I don't know. He is supposed to check in. It's either that he is MIA, compromised or brothers forbid dead." Ozpin said
Ruby gasped
Guts clenched his fists as James Ozpin and Glynda looked wearily at their actions.
"Damn it old man you were supposed to stay alive for our rematch!" Guts huffed
"What was Qrow even doing?" Blake asked
"It's a personal messager as well as a scout. I had him sent to Vacuole." Ozpin said
"Can we not contact the headmaster and ask if he's been spotted?" Weiss asked
"We have to be careful. Now with the knowledge of the Vytal festival compromised we need to be extra careful about the access of information." Ozpin said
"The CCTV." Ren said
"I'll have my men posted around there for security. Calling it to "maintain the broadcasting signal." James said
"Double it then James." Ozpin said
"Then double that again. I have no doubt that your hiding Fall in this tower somewhere." Guts said
Everyone looked at Guts.
"Is this true?" Yang asked
"Of course. I'd want to have her as close as possible at all times. I agree with Guts, we need to have as many guards here without it being suspicious." Ozpin said
" We can manufacture a "break in" to give you the reasoning if that is what you seek." Jaune said
"We very well might go that root. If that is needed I'll inform you of when the guards are the weakest and when." James said
"I'd also suggest that you repeatedly scrub the system for bugs. Every week two at the latest." Guts said.
"Makes sense. We will do just that." James said
"Then I'd say we have a reasonable plan." Glynda said
"More than reasonable… we might be ahead." Ozpin said
Guts, RWBY, And JNPR left the meeting leaving Ironwood, Glynda, and Ozpin alone.
"I don't like it." James said
"Your always the most tense around action especially before the actual fight."
"It's just. Oz their children." James said
"True most of them are. However even if they are children they are the best hope we have." Ozpin said
James sighed and turned away. "And you call me a dictator Oz, using children, suppressing the press, at least when I do I give reasons to the public as to why I do it."
James left.
"I'll get you some more coffee." Glynda said
"Is he right?" Ozpin asked
"Huh?" Glynda asked as Ozpin turned to look out the window.
"Am I just a massive hypocrite?…Calling James out when I'm just as bad?" Ozpin asked
"I'm not sure Oz. I'll admit you've made some…questionable choices. Specifically with Ms Rose, and Guts. However, your judgements on them have turned out for the better. So I cannot say. But if I ever find something that I think your doing wrong I'll tell you. I always have." Glynda said
"Thank you old friend. And yes that coffee does sound nice." Ozpin said
With Guts and the two teams they were in the library playing Remnant, The board game.
Well 5 of them were. Team JNPR were "studying" when in reality they were planning there "break in."
"Yang Xiao Long prepare your kingdom for battle!" Ruby declared.
"Bring it on." Yang said
"I deploy the atleasian Air fleet!" Ruby said
Guts shook his head "your loss." He said Ruby looked over and hissed
Before explaining the attack. And Yang pulls her trap card giant Nevermore.
Guts found himself hissing at the strategic incompetence. But he did say he'd sit this one out until someone quit.
He missed Yangs roll but from Ruby's reaction it was devastating to her forces.
From that Sun appeared. Asked where they had been and tried to talk to Blake to turned him down and left.
"Sorry guys I just have so much on my mind I'm going to take a nap." Blake said
"Hey can I play?" Jaune asked
"Sorry Jaune we already have 4 players Guts called it when someone left he'd take over." Ruby said
However Jaune insisted asking to perhaps look over with Weiss.
Guts however smiled "how about this Jaune. We can take turns swapping off." Guts said
"R-really?" Jaune asked
"Yea, I wanted to pick your strategic brain anyways and see how you tick." Guts said
"Bring it on." Jaune said
Seeing as it was Gut's turn he went he had his move already planned out by the time Ruby declared her attack. He had a strategy for if he took over any player. Even without the cards he could still win the game. He let Jaune handle the cards while he took his turn.
"I'll draw for field presence." Guts said he read it to himself 'reinforcement's: place 2 stands on adjacent spaces if there was a conflict there and you still control those sections. Can only be played after combat.'
Guts looked over doesn't help him now. He handed the card off to Jaune who accepted it and read it. Before moving the cards around in his hand.
Guts recalculated the attack in his head.
"Weiss I'm pushing my motorized force into Deadlands two zones. Responses?" Guts asked
Ruby, Yang and Weiss looked at each other confused two squares is nothing. With the amount of forces Guts/Blake built up he could easily have gone for a capital and kicked a player out of a game. Doubling his treasury. As well as his resources.
"Um you do know your supposed to be going for capitals right?" Yang asked
"I'm aware." Guts said
"Ok." Yang said
"No response's." Weiss said
Guts nodded "Ruby I'm pushing into the south of atlas by naval." Guts said
"No response." Ruby said she had more than enough air power to get resources if a naval blockade was completed around her.
"And Yang. I'm pushing into western Menagerie any response?" Guts asked
"Um yea actually. Grimm ambush. If you attack a zone that I don't have defenders in, if you control no huntsman in your army, you lose that square at the end of combat."
Guts nodded.
"Very well I have 2 huntsmen in my army so I keep that zone." Guts said
In response I play sudden ambush. If you only control ½ or less than half of a territory I can play sudden ambush for half cost and when I do I restart combat doubling my forces." Yang said
"Very well move to pitched battle?" Guts said
Yang nodded.
The pitched battle section is where Remnant the game shines and why Guts was so interested in playing. It was basically a tabletop wargame at this point. And with Guts coming from the 100 years War pitched battles like this were a breeze.
On the scroll it read "select players."
Blake and Yang were chosen as what the fieldwas and bonus cards were played Yang put in. Ambush and the simulation appeared
The field appeared on the scroll which showed a valley around a desert Guts forces in the low end of the valley.
Suddenly on the ridge ranged attackers were on the walls firing down on them.
1 of Guts' two huntsmen were killed but Guts pulled out his artillery and blew the cliff apart causing an avalanche killing all of Yangs ambushers but Sparing Gut's Force because he wasn't close enough to the cliff face." As the battle ended declaring Guts the winner as he took that zone.
"At the end of my turn I'm going to claim stake a claim on the zone I just won." Guts said
"For vale?" Yang asked
"No neutral." Guts said
Yang, Weiss, and Ruby were confused. Guts would have no need for netrual territory you don't get any troops from it. Heck it's more of a liability because if you don't keep track it can declare war on you and or join sides with another faction.
Jaune however saw exactly what Guts was doing and smiled. He placed the Cards down, he wouldn't need them unless a crisis appeared. Jaune smiled and nodded
"I end my turn." Guts said
The board went around, and while Guts and Jaune were doing very little gains The other three were going all at it trying there best to vanquish there opponents.
Jaune whispered to Guts while all three were in a pitched battle together. Yang and Weiss against Ruby. As Yang played a truce card. A card that can allow people to join as a collision.
Ruby asked for Guts' help but declined. Saying that If done right Ruby didn't need any help. To which Ruby responded she knew but was willing to cut a deal on peace terms if he accepted.
"Guts relented. But instead of sending forces. He only broke the blockade that was around Atlas. Which was acceptable to Ruby.
However Guts wasn't done and declared. Land Lease to Ruby. And "gifted" two ships in the blockade to her which she refit into merchant vessels and built a trading alliance with Guts.
While it used up one of there cards it was a useless card anyways. As there turn went again.
"Jaune your up." Guts said
"Ok. Should I declare it?" Jaune said
"Eh sure." Guts said not really caring.
"Three turn clock." Jaune said
The three were shocked
"Three turns?" Ruby asked
"Until the end?!" Weiss asked
"Bull!" Yang said
"Only one way to find out" Guts said
As Jaune went he fully annexed Menagerie. And declared it Neutral territory. Before he set up a trade port on the island.
Jaune then however went on the attack. Pushing 5 zones into Southern Anima. With very little push back from Yang.
He also pushed further into the dead lands and gotten to the edge of the desert of vacuole.
Then he played the card that definitely put everything into place as a three turn limit.
"Dust shortage," he said as he read the card which basically said that all players discard ¾th of their Dust stack.
However Guts had bought a shipping company in Vale as did Jaune in Menagerie meaning they could resupply faster. And with the small annexed island not apart of the war effort they produced Dust and other resources faster. Which means Guts and Jaune would have a bulk of dust while the other three were fighting for scraps.
"Shit we've been outplayed." Yang said
"Yep." Guts said
"You've planned this from the beginning." Weiss said
"Honestly no. It's just luck of the draw we got Dust shortage this turn. If not you'd still have lost, but it would have take three times as long." Jaune said
"Really?" Yang asked
"Yeah once we fully annexed Menagerie the game was set even without the trading. Or the blockade." Guts said
"Dang." Yang said as they headed up to the dorm.
Where Weiss started to rant about Blake
"Lately you've been quiet, antisocial and moody." Weiss said
"Um have you met Blake?" Yang asked
" which is kinda your thing. However we've made a promise to each other to tell each other what is wrong? So what is wrong!" Weiss said
"I just… I can't just sit by and be useless." Blake said
" your still thinking of the white fang?" Ruby asked
"The fang, torchwick, the festival! Everything!" Blake said
"Ozpin told us not worry. With ironwood here and the security increase I'm sure they can handle it." Yang said
"Besides, all we're really doing is waiting for the all clear to start our investigation." Ruby said

"Shit." Guts said he looked out the window.
"It's too late to inform Oz now I'll have to tell him tomorrow I can use it as a cover for the mission." Guts said as he strode out of the library

"Very well…I'll accept this loss for now. But know you know I have returned." The beast of darkness said as he vanished
Back in reality Guts pulled his fist out of the wall.
"Ruby…I don't know what made you so angry but I promise it's not true." Guts said
This however just snapped Ruby even more.
"Not true NOT FUCKING TRUE?!" Ruby said as she slapped him
Guts touched his cheek and rubbed his hand looking it it

"Ruby. the people who you bumped into in the hall don't trust them." Guts said
Ruby was shocked first he betrayed her trust now he's telling her who she can and cannot hang out with.

Ruby and Guts walked to the dorm talking on code and hushed whispers. To anyone else it seemed as if they were planning a secret date. But in reality they were discussing the how gone to shit the festival was.
"Fuck were screwed!" Ruby said
"Yea most likely they have a very good basis and multiple ways to hunt us down if we go away." Guts said
"I'll tell my team about the change of plans and on the day we can go."

Ruby opened the door. And just like before Yang flew out trying to clobber Guts. Unlike Ruby Yang was actually there to witness the actual event through the window of there dorm.

"You know nothing." Ruby said glaring deep into her sister.
"Ruby. Clearly they witnessed the events but they don't know the context full them in we will sort it out for the mission tomorrow." Guts said as he headed back to the room.
"And what makes you think that we will allow you to join." Weiss hissed
Ruby closed the door and looked at them. " because Guts shares a very important role in the new plan." Ruby said

"Damn it I let my anger get to me again." She hissed

"But it's worse than that. Guts is trying to help me. I feel like I'm getting better but it doesn't seem to work." Yang said
"We will deal with it later for right now we got to sleep for our mission tomorrow." Blake said as they turned out the lights
