Chapter 5
Beacon
As Team RWBY stood in there dorm putting on there Infiltration armor. Guts sat in a chair picking at his teeth, feet up on the deck.
"I thought that class would never end." Blake said as she wrapped a ribbon around her arm.
"Luck you, you only had to listen to people tell there experience or in your own words "ears bleed". I had to correct broken forms, Break and fix egos as well as watch fights. I watched 2 weapons Explode during my class today. And this girl nearly impaled me with a poison arrow in my foot. It went right between my toes." Guts said he rolled his eyes " swear if I hear another "but I've always done it this way." heads will roll." Guts hissed as he crushed his fist.
"Um Guts?" Yang asked
"Guts snapped out of his musings and looked at his hand.
"Shit sorry guys." There is another thing I need to tell you." Guts said
"Ok what is it?" Weiss asked
"It can wait till later I'm going to inform the headmaster first." Guts said
"And with that's is a good transition. Does everyone remember there roles?" Ruby asked
"You and I and as of now Guts will be heading to the CCTV tower. To look for information on Schnee Dust Thefts. As for Guts I don't know." Weiss said
"The white fang hole semi-regular meeting's/rally's if I can get in there I can hopefully locate if they had caught the bait we laid for them." And even if they don't I can get an idea where their actual base is for the invasion of vale." Blake said
"And I have a friend on the shady side of town that knows a lot. If he knows anything about torchwick I'll get it out of him one way or the other." Yang said
"Also ask about the gang's as well. Individual gangs might not have been agreed on but I bet if there's a trail of multiple gangs attacking the same target. Chances are there's a reason." Guts said Yang nodded
"Alright everyone remembers there roles let's do this!" Ruby said
"Yea!" Sun said from outside the window.
"Sun?! When did you get here?" Blake asked
"He was here the whole time." Guts mussed
"And you never told us?!" Weiss said
"I told you to shut the window when I came in, not my problem you didn't listen." Guts said as he now played with one of his throwing knifes.
"How did you get here?" Blake insisted
"Oh I do it all the time?" Sun said
"You do What?" Weiss asked
"I climb trees all the time." He said
Weiss growled but Sun jumped into the room
"So are we finally going after that torchwick guy?" He asked
"We are going to investigate the situation. As a team!"
"Sorry Sun but…well there are a lot of things we can't explain to you. But right now we don't want collateral among firends who don't know the dangers." Ruby said as she looked to Guts who gave a thumbs up
They had rehearsed this as a way to insist those who weren't in the group not be involved.
However Sun wasn't smart enough to realize it
"That's dumb you should always get firends involved it's why I brought Neptune!" Sun said
Guts sighed as he flicked the Knife towards Sun who ducked and watched it fly followed by another one.
One slammed into the outside window and one hit the outside of the sill "climb in." Guts said in a growl irritated. All members in the room subtitle shift away from Guts, except Ruby who got closer to try to calm him down,
From outside Neptune climbed in using the two knives as a hand guard and a footstool to get in.
"Guts?" Ruby saidGuts took a deep breath before he spoke "it's fine Ruby there too insistent. part of being a team leader is being able to improvise when a plan is screwed up." Guts said
Ruby nodded
"Very well I will assume that you've heard everything I said so I won't go over roles again Sun because your a fanuas you can go with Blake it won't look suspicious and Neptune you can go with Yang because she doesn't have a partner and is going to a dangerous area." Ruby said
"Actually Ruby. Why don't you go with Yang. After all she is your sister." Weiss said
"But who will go with you?" Ruby asked
"Well I suppose Neptune can be with me." Weiss said
Guts looked at Weiss with a glare.
Ruby just laughed and dragged her along as everyone split off to do there missions.
Guts Ruby and Weiss stood in front of the CCTV tower.
"Woah it's so big." Ruby gasped
"Heh where have I heard that before?" Guts muttered as Ruby slapped him on he arm. "Gross."
"You should see the one in Atlas." Weiss said
"That was the first one right?" Ruby asked
"Correct it was a gift to each kingdom after the Great War." Weiss said
Ruby went to take a photo but dropped her scroll. It was picked up by Penny.
"Oh you dropped this." She said
"Penny? Where have you been?" Ruby asked
"I think you are confused?" Penny said with a hiccup as she tossed the scroll back to Ruby.
"Excuse me." Penny said
"What was that about?" Weiss said
"It was weird." Guts said
"Yea I'm going to find out you two complete what you need to do. And remember your scrolls!" Ruby said as she ran off.
"Wait!" Weiss said Guts put a hand on her shoulder "there isn't time Ruby is counting on us."
Weiss nodded.
Guts and Weiss walked into the CCTV. However Guts and Weiss walked into two different elevators and went to do different floors.
"Headmaster's office." Guts said
"Please flash your scroll on the wall." The ai said
Guts did so and a beep was heard and the elevator started to move.
Weiss went to the CCTV floor. And went to call Schnee Dust company. And grabbed the documents.
"Here you go madam, are you sure you don't want me to patch you into your sister?" The secretary said
"Actually…sure yes I'll talk to Winter." Weiss said
"Excellent Ms Schnee if I may say I hear Winter is wanting to hear your progress on your studies." The secretary said
Weiss smiled as her face vanished and Winter appeared talking to someone off screen
"Ironwood wants the shipment to arrive in vale on time if I have to tell him they don't arrive because of your failure I will- oh Weiss." Winter said
"Hello sister." Weiss said with a smile.
"I you've not been responding to most of my calls." Winter said
"I've…been busy…" Weiss said
"With studies?" Winter said skeptically.
"With…everything." Weiss said
Winter looked at Weiss. Before sighing.
"How have you been?" Winter asked
" it's good Beacon is so different than Atlas." Weiss said
"Yes I assume it is. Excuse me unfortunately you caught me at a bad time incompetent officers and stuff. We will talk again soon." Winter said as she hung up.
Weiss took a deep breath and sat there.
With Guts he walked into The headmasters office.
"Ah Guts. This is a surprise weren't you supposed to be with Ms Rose?" Ozpin said
"Something else has come up." Guts said as he tossed the papers of team CMEN. "Beacon has been compromised." Guts said
Ozpin sat down in shock at this prospect.
Yang and Neptune drove down the road and came across a bar.
"This way." Yang said
"Woah." Neptune said. As he walked with Yang who kicked in the door.
"Guess who's back?" Yang called as everyone pointed guns in Yangs face. And the music stuttered out.
"Yea can you tell me how you can consider these people your friends?" Neptune said asking behind Yang.
"Wait wait wait nobody shoot." A voice said behind the crowd.
"Blondie you're here…why?" A man in a suit said
"You still owe me a drink." Yang said as she strode forward grabbing his tie and dragging him off.
"Woah what a women." Neptune said as he looked to the twins "sup."
The twins paid him no mind.
Yang got her drink and sat at the bar
"So blondie why are you actually here if it's for the photo I again haven't seen her." Junior said
"Umm besides the idea of having a nice drink?" Neptune said
Junior looked over at Neptune "clearly you don't know what we're talking about." He said
"He's no one, I'm the one asking. And I'm not looking for the women. Tell me where I can find Roman torchwick." Yang said
"I can't tell you." Junior said as he cleaned a glass
"You damn better well tell me. And get my drink along the way." Yang said
Ruby and Penny walked along the streets of Vale and came across the. Reveal of the tale Atlasian Paladins 200.
Penny and Ruby ran away and ended up in the ally.
"Penny please come with us."
"WAIT!" Ruby cried as she jumped out of the dumpster.
"Halt citizen!" "how did you get here?!" The two asked as they looked to Penny who just hiccuped
"How I got here isn't important, all I can tell you is I'm working with the General and I need to talk to Penny about information that she holds." Ruby said
"Penny Polinenda is a normal girl and is no way connected to the General." The guards said
"Your reaction is so fake I can see it a mile away!" Ruby said
"We cannot allow you to speak with Penny!" The guards insisted
"If you don't the kingdom of Vale will fall and it will be on your hands." Ruby said
"What? You insolent."
"I don't have time to go through all the specific channels to get permission nor do I have time I need to speak with Penny and I'm going to do that whether you agree…or not." Ruby said, opening Crescent Rose.
Back with Guts and Ozpin
"So a team from Haven infiltrate's beacon. I don't believe Lionheart is so old these 4 just slipped through his grasp." Ozpin said
"Which means." Guts said
"Which means we have to assume lionheart is apart of Salem's group now." Ozpin said
"And we can consider the relic in Haven lost." Guts said
"Not necessarily. The spring Maiden that opens that vault has been considered lost. I've sent Qrow several times to look for the her but no result." Ozpin said
"So for now the vault is safe. So we just focus on Vale?" Guts asked
"Just focus on vale." Ozpin said
"Very well any news about the Paladin hiest?" Guts asked
"Yes I've gotten a report from James this morning. Apparently they were enthusiastic to get the suits. Within 3 minutes of them being transported to location they have been stolen." Ozpin said
"Please tell me the trackers are set." Guts said
"They are. And they haven't been located. We are tracking them. They appear to be heading south East." While 1 is still within the city." Ozpin said
"Location?" Guts asked
"I'll send it to your scroll as well as the tracker. Which will automatically download itself into your scroll." Ozpin said
Guts nodded as he spoke. "Another thing Oz. I'm afraid I too might be compromised." He said
"Well tell me what way?" Ozpin said
Guts nodded and explained.
Yang slammed her fist on the table.
"What do you mean you don't know?" She said
"I mean I don't know he hasn't appeared Sense the night you wrecked the place. He hired my boys and none of them came back." He said
"So where did they go?" Neptune asked trying to appear cool.
"What the fuck kinda question is that? They didn't come back. Who is he?" Junior said
"Don't worry about him worry about me if I don't get what I want." Yang said
"I've told you all I know no more questions you had your drink now get out." Junior said
"I don't think so." Yang said grabbing his arm.
"You said you lost a lot of boys. How did you supplement your numbers." Yang asked
"If you know where to look you'll always find people looking for a home." He said ripping his hand away.
"Who?"
"They called themselves the green serpents or some shit. One of the rival gangs around the docks that is until last month." Junior said
"What happened last month?" Neptune asked
Yang shot him a glare "Neptune shut up." She hissed
"Now hold on…you know something." Junior said pointing to Yang.
"So what if I do?" Yang asked suddenly cold about the subject
"Tell me what happened and I'll tell you exactly what All the criminals gangs are planning there next big crime wave. Apparently from what I hear they plan to kill alot of police and huntsman too." Junior said
Yang narrowed her eyes. On one hand it's confidential secrets. On the other hand this could save lives and is exactly what she is looking for.
"Fine Neptune, leave us." Yang said
"Wha-?" Neptune asked but Yang shot a glare. "Guard the fucking door."
Neptune gulped and nodded and left
"Wow blondie that's much." Junior said
"This conversation Never happened." Yang said
Junior gulped as he noticed the red eyes Yang had. Junior nodded
"I'm not telling you all of it. And you'll just have to deal with it." Yang said
Junior tried to argue but Yang shut him up with a glare. He nodded
" last month one of our teammates ran off because of an argument. She was scared and feared for her life. We tracked her down and went to save her. From there the white fang attacked along with Roman Torchwick at the dock," Yang said
"Well there's your answer. Why come to me to ask about Roman if you already knew?" Junior asked
"Are you finished?" Yang asked
Junior gulped and nodded.
"Anyways. We underestimated Roman and got our ass kicked. Until our hero came. One man."
"One man broke the vale Docks?" Junior asked
Yang nodded
"Who?" Junior asked
"The Black Swordsmen." Yang said
Blake and Sun walked down the fanuas section of Vale. Standing off to the side Blake recognized a white fang Recruiter talking to a fanuas with Antlers on the ground.
"What is-?" Sun asked but Blake shut him up
"Look for this symbol on the rear corner of the front row of the warehouse district in Vale. The one behind it is where we are meeting. Bring only those you trust sister. Our fight is long and hard." The recruiter said as he left the other end of the ally.
The deer fanuas after looking around got up and ran.
Seeing there chance Blake and Sun walked into the ally and checked the sign.
"scratches?" Sun asked
"Let's go we got what we need." Blake said as she jumped off the walls and reached the roof. Sun followed.
"So what do we do now Wait in the wear house?" Sun asked
"No too risky. Wait till sunset then we will go there." Blake said
"So what do we do now?" Sun asked
"Whatever." Blake said
Ruby glaired at the two soldiers as they glaired at Ruby
"Grrrrr fine! But you better bring back Penny safe." The guard said
"I'll bring her back to the demonstration after we are finished." Ruby said
"Fine fare enough." The soldiers said as they left.
Ruby and Penny stood alone in the alleyway.
"So firend Ruby what is it that you want to talk about?" Penny asked.
"Well for one you've said before your with atlas. You know the general. Tell me what do you know about the general's operation's in Vale." Ruby asked
"Not…much." Penny said before she hiccuped Ruby hit her with a glare.
"Oh alright. I know the general has plans to aid the vytal festival security. And he wants me to be a pedestal for which future huntsman can look up to." Penny said
"I see listen Penny your a very good friend and so is general Ironwood but please for your sake… watch your back." Ruby said
"Oh don't worry Ruby. I'm combat ready!" Penny said
Ruby waved her as Penny headed off to the soldiers.
Blake and Sun met at the meeting for the White Fang.
"This the place?" Sun asked Blake who gave a glare. Sun shot his hands up
"Ok ok."
The meeting went as well as it could have gone until Roman torchwick spotted them.
Blake shot out the lights and panic ensued as Blake and Sun jumped out the windows.
"Hey Blake you don't happen to have…any backup?" Sun asked
"On it!" Blake said as she turned on her scroll.
"Everyone phase-
"HELPPPPPP!"
Guts heard the scroll In his pocket.
Ozpin raised an eyebrow.
"Some students were insisting on helping." Guts said
"I believe you should Answer that scroll." Ozpin said as Guts left.
"It's a giant robot!" Sun yelled
"Phase." Blake tried again
"And torchwick's In It. It didn't eat him it just-."
"SUN SHUT UP EVERYONE PHASE 2!" Blake said as she clicked the scroll shut!
"What that's it? That's your message?!" Sun asked
Ruby hearing a few things from Blake but mostly from Sun rolled her eyes 'now I see why Guts doesn't work with non professionals.' She rolled her eyes and activated the tracker. Before speeding off.
Weiss and Guts met at the ground floor at the same time. "Let's take a VTOL!" Guts said Weiss nodded
Guts and Weiss ran to the nearest one and jumped in at the same time.
"GET US IN THE AIR LIVES ARE IN DANGER!" Guts said
The pilot who was ready to go at a moment's notice flew off.
"Do we know where the danger is?" The pilot asked
Suddenly a prototype Atleasin paladin roared into the view of the pilot making him bank suddenly "woah!"
"After it!" Guts said
"Yeah kinda figured!" The pilot said
Weiss stepped forward and checked her dust "we need to get it off the highway!" Weiss said over the air.
"Pilot if you have a flood light turn it on that will keep police from interfering!" Guts said
"But don't we?" The pilot asked
"They aren't equipped to handle that!" Guts said
"Everyone give me an update where are you?" Ruby said on her scroll.
"We're in the air giving it chase." Guts said
"What about the others?"
"I'm here is with Guts Torchwick is chasing after Blake and Sun on the ground." Weiss said
"What about Yang and Neptune?" Ruby asked
Suddenly from behind Bumblebee roared into life giving chase weaving in between cars
"Yangs on the ground!" Guts said
Neptune opened up his plasma rifle and started to blast at Torchwick. Who groaned. Neptune stood up and jumped on top despite Yang calling for him not to
"Damn it!" Yang hissed as she drove around Torchwick and up to Blake. "Hop on!" She says
At the same time Guts walked into the cockpit to talk to the pilot
"Try to get in front of it and open fire draw it attention away from the people it's chasing." Guts said
"You want to get a weapon of wars attention? We're not equipped to handle that sir!" The pilot said
"I understand don't worry you'll only have its attention for a couple nanoseconds." Guts said
The pilot nodded. And pushed the bird forward.
"But Neptune!" Blake cried as she watched Sun and Neptune go flying off the highway as they collided
"BLAKE!" Yang called as a missle flew towards her Blake dodged the missle sending it flying upwards nearly missing the Bullhead as she jumped onto the Bike.
"Alright we need to get it off the highway!" Ruby said
"Weiss go now send it off the highway!" Guts shouted
"EVERYONE IF YOU CAN HERE ME GET UNDER THE HIGHWAY!" Guts said
Weiss jumped out of the bird and landed on the road while the pilot opened fire on torchwick!
Roman returned fire to the bird. But it dodged out of the way. By that time it was too late as Weiss had spread a thick layer of ice. Sending Roman flying to the ground.
Ruby appeared on the ground in a flood of petals.
Weiss landed gracefully next to her.
While Blake and Yang skidded to a stop next to the two.
Guts however remained in the air.
"What do we do now sir?" The pilot asked
"We can't fly low enough to help them. Circle around in a perimeter let the team on the ground handle this." Guts said
On the ground the fight with Torchwick in the Paladin was a tough fight.
"Let's go!" Ruby said as she sped forward. However the auto targeting of the war machine tracked wherever they moved.
Stunning them all at least once with electric stun rounds. Only Ruby was still able to keep moving and that was sheer force of will.
"R-Ruby…" Weiss said between pain and passing out.
"Weiss!" Ruby said as she negated the effects of the stun with a bit of her aura. Before doing the same to Blake. Yang was ok.
" we can't go in half cocked we need a plan." Weiss said
"First we need to blind it FREEZERBURN!" Ruby said as she and Blake jumped away.
"Last of the ice dust!" Weiss said as she made the biggest ice platform she ever made. Torchwick shifted the Paladin to slow terrain mode which dug spikes into the concrete or snow to make sure it didn't tip over as easily.
However Yang jumped up punched and shattered the ice. Making a mist cloud covering the sensors as well as Torchwick's line of sight. Only the heat trace was working but it wasn't good enough to target the enemy with it.
"Argh shit." Torchwick said as he took control of the arm guns. Team RWBY stayed on the move in the dust smokescreen while Roman tried to pick them off.
"Keep moving checkmate!" Ruby said as she dashed off.
Weiss and Blake leapt forward Blake targeting the feet while Weiss went to hit for the cockpit and hopefully incapacitate Torchwick but missed and hit a camera instead
Torchwick went to step on Blake but Weiss was able to pull Blake back, saving her.
Roman reacted by firing off several missiles towards Blake.
Weiss used one of her glyphs to speed up Blake as a detriment to herself as she hit the ground.
Blake cut apart the missiles flying towards her making them explode before any went off in civilians.
Ruby rushed past Blake "lady bug!" As Blake and Ruby rushed off to double team Roman.
In the air Guts watched from above as the four huntsman took down the Paladin.
"Huh some superstar kids there." The pilot said
Guts said nothing just glaring at Roman.
'From what I've heard Roman has been able to deal with Huntsman like Glynda or even Qrow on equal footing so why?…he's toying with them! Shit the rally!'
"We've fucked up. Pilot go and fly over the Wearhouse district there should be a warehouse that was just broken into. With a giant hole. See if any race of the white fang are still there!" Guts said
"Got it but how will I come to pick you up?" The pilot asked
"I'll alert you via scroll come around for another pass and get us as low to the ground as you can!" Guts said
"Got it!" As the bullhead took a dive toward the Paladin.
Ruby and Weiss froze it in place and Yang slammed into it with her semblance but Roman activated an emergency eject button which freed the Paladin from the ice around its legs. It stepped on one of its arms and by sheer luck it was able to reattach itself on.
"Oh son of a bitch!" Yang cursed as Roman held them back with more rockets as he grabbed the other arm and attached it as well.
"Well it's seems these Arms are breakable and universal as well. Ready for round two?" Roman asked
"How about no?" Ruby said as she looked up to see Guts falling towards Roman Dragonslayer pointed towards the mech
"SHIT!" Roman screamed as Guts collided with it nearly impaling Roman in the back as the rest of the Paladin folded around him as he went rolling
"Ugh just got this suit cleaned." Roman said
Guts stood imposing in the wreckage of the Paladin.
"It's over Roman give it up." Guts said
"Oh ho ho ho ho! Not even close my friends this is just warming up." Roman said
Next to him a women with Brown and Pink hair and an umbrella appeared
"Fashionably late as always," Roman said
"Ladies. Sir it appears our time is at an end. Neo if you would?" Roman said
Guts snarled as Neo took a bow. Yang rushed forward and they shattered into bits. As Guts watch them appear in a Bullhead and take off.
'I never saw that bullhead. Which means she's got a very powerful semblance to cover that bullhead and herself.' Guts said
"Damn it." Guts Said
"Well I guess he has a new henchmen." Yang said
"Yeah I guess she made our plans fall apart?" Weiss said making a pun.
"No just no." Yang said
"What but you do it?" She said
"There is a time and place for jokes." Yang said
"Was this not it?" Weiss asked
"No it was it just wasn't very good." Yang said as she walked away.
"Wait where are Sun and Neptune?" Ruby asked
Guts growled "fucking great!" He roared as he punched a cinder support apart. Like the Paladin
Everyone stood shocked "Guts…" Ruby asked hesitantly
"Stupid greenhorns. Always mucking up operations. We had them." Guts said
"Guts it's fine." Ruby said
"Is it?" Guts asked as he spun on Ruby only yo be Ickes by Yang and put a arm on his sholder.
"Woah there. No need to give into the beast just yet." Yang said
Coincidencily that was just what Guts needed to hear to get back from his anger.
"Thanks Yang." Guts said
"So what do we do?" Blake asked
"Simple we head to find Sun and Neptune tell them any information of what they heard or what happened is need to know Then we talk to Ozpin about the debrief." Guts said
"Ok but how are we getting home?" Yang asked
Guts pressed a button on his scroll and the bullhead appeared in front of him. "Everyone in." Guts said
The bullhead flew off and they reached beacon.
"It's late everyone go to bed, we will talk to Ozpin tomorrow." Guts said as they turned into bed
The next day they headed to Ozpin's office and they talked to Ironwood, Glynda. And Ozpin
"The bait has been taken." Guts said as everyone was here."
"Excellent." Ironwood said
"Yes unfortunately due to unforeseen consequences we didn't get an exact location of their staging point only that it's in the south East." Blake said
" That's ok we've got the trackers telling us their exact locations." Ironwood said
"Even if we didn't have that we, there only so many places that are in that area and viable spots to launch an attack on vale," Ozpin said
"Mountain Glenn." Ruby said
Ironwood noddded "and as a matter of fact that's the exact location where we've tracked them down." Ironwood said
"Very well when do you think is a good time for us to go get them back?" Weiss said eagerly,
"It's not that simple…" Guts said
"Yes Guts is right, after all like at the docks, the enemy will be on high alert now, as well as the fact as well we did cause a lot of damage to the city." Ruby said
"Not a lot as the dock, though most of that was my fault," Guts said,
"You only happened to get your anger in the way, most of the actual danger is because of reckless endangerment, if we were totaling up the total, I believe ms a Belladonna and Mr Wukong would be in the lead with damage, with his teammate coming in a loose third." Glynda said
"Again damages can be paid for, what can't be is loss of life which thanks to your quick thinking was zero," Ironwood said
"So what's the plan now?" Blake asked,
"Well, I believe you happen to have a few weeks before the Vytal festival Huntsman dance, and then after that is your mission, so for now I suggest you go and relax spend time and de-stress, and I do not mean lose sleep over things you cannot stop," Ozpin said saying the last thing while looking at Blake.
"Very well, perhaps we can help organize the dance." Weiss said
"Ugh but that's boring." Ruby said
Guts smiled as he started out of the room,
"Where do you think your going?" Glynda asked
"Practice." Guts said
"Your not going to relax?" Weiss asked
"You know why I can't. Not with this." Guts said as he pointed to the brand on his neck.
Weiss sighed.
"Don't worry we will be ready." Guts said
"That's another thing we've lost contact with Qrow." Ozpin said
"Shit." Guts hissed
"You don't mean he's?" Ruby asked not finishing the sentence
"In short we don't know." Ozpin said
"Damn he maybe annoying but he didn't deserve death." James said
"He's not dead." Guts said
"He's too strong for that." Probably drunk in a ditch maybe but dead no…" Guts said with absolute conviction.
"Well if you believe so I'll go with it, however I believe until then I believe we should replace him . Oz you have a strike team in Vale with the Brotherhood I'm wondering about if Atlas should as well." James said
"We will have to decide each candidate at a time." Ozpin said
Ironwood nodded I'll inform you of each candidate as I get there acceptance." Ironwood said as he headed to the door
"Hold on." Ruby said, stopping the general.
"What's your deal with Penny Polendina?" Ruby asked
Ironwood turned around accusatory.
"Excuse me?" He asked
"You heard me you're quite close to her. She relies on your orders far too much than a normal first year." Ruby said

Ruby turned back to Ironwood with a hardened glare
"So they don't know?" Ruby hissed
Ironwood shoos on edge. Somehow someway Ms Rose knew the secret.
"Your not allowed to show that knowledge!" Ironwood said
"THAT KNOWLEDGE COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VALE FALLING AND IT STANDING TO SEE ANOTHER DAY AND I WONT ALLOW YOU JEOPARDIZE! THAT JUST FOR YOUR OWN LOYALTY AND EGO!" Ruby yelled
"HALT!" Ozpins voice boomed as he stoped the argument from turning into a physical brawl in his office.
"Ms Rose, I trust James with a lot of responsibilities. What you just said I highly doubt is that dangerous. However James this incident must be investigated upon please tell us all what has Ms Rose so riled up and I promise we will withhold judgment until the end and both sides have had a chance to speak," Ozpin said
James stood in the room alone. In front of him team RWBY Guts, Ozpin and Glynda. And he stood alone.
James clenched his fist trying to think of a way to get out of this situation the world was not yet ready for the reveal yet it needed time. It needed the proof of the better AI systems. It needed to be tested and proven to the Civilians.
"James your answer." Glynda said
James sighed "I…I can't." He said
"Penny Polendina is a robot!" Ruby said flatly.
"A synthetic person, a living soul shoved into it but the physical, mental, and social aspects are all artificial. A girl the mental age of 10 weaponized for war." Ruby said
Everyone in the room was horrified
"What?" Glynda said
"YOU SON OF A-!" Yang yelled
"JAMES!" Ozpin said
However the most violent reaction was from Guts. Who walked over to James and choak slammed him into one of the pillars
"Guts!" Weiss and Blake called
"I get it I really do. I've lived in a war of hell. So much shit happens and people get desperate. But you mean to tell me that you've pushed a child into war. Something I HAD TO GO THROUGH MYSELF?! Heh and I thought humans get better over time. Now I see there just as scummy as they always have been." Guts said before he stepped back holding his head
" sorry I never got that Versailles about war before I've always been more impassive." Guts said
"Still James the Treaty of the four kingdoms. That ended the Great War outlawed such tactics for a reason! Are you really willing to deal with a universal backlash on Atlas? What possible reason would you have to make this call?" Ozpin asked
James stood in silence. He sighed and took a deep breath no way out now.
"Because Penny Polendina was dying…" James said
