***A/N: Picks up at the end of AYITL. This chapter focuses on reactions to Rory being pregnant and what her plan is.***

Rory POV

"Mom?" I said and she just continued to stare at me. "Can you say something?"

"Who's the father?" She asked me.

"It's Logan." I said.

She let out a sigh. "Wow. Um…okay. Have you told him?" She asked me.

I shook my head. "No, but I'm flying out there today to talk to him. Then when I get back I'm going to see Grandma and then Dad. Mom, I've got a plan but I need your support." I said.

Mom smiled at me. "You've got it." She said smiling at me.

When I landed at Heathrow, I took a cab to Trix's house, well I guess my house. I'd inherited it when Grandpa died. I just hadn't been able to bring myself to use it. Once I got settled, I texted Logan and told him that I was in town and that we needed to talk. I gave him Trix's address and told him to come when he could.

A couple hours later, the doorbell rang. I went to answer the door and there he was. He looked better than he had a few months ago in New Hampshire. "Logan."

"Ace. What are you doing here? The last we talked you ended things." He said.

"Come in. We need to talk." I said. He nodded. We walked into the living room and sat on the couch. Liza my housekeeper brought in some coffee and sat it on the coffee table. "Before I tell you what's going on, I want you to know that I don't expect anything. I know that you've got the whole dynastic plan and I know that this will be shocker." I said and he nodded. "I'm pregnant."

"Wow." He said.

"Like I said shocker."

"What's your plan?" He asked me.

"I'm going back to Hartford State to get my master's. Headmaster Charleston offered me a job at Chilton. And Grandma knows about my book so I'm gonna move back to the pool house at least until I can afford a condo." I told him.

"Makes sense. And I'm guessing if I offered to help that would be too much?" He asked.

I nodded. "Yeah. It would raise too many questions. Plus I'm sure my Dad will help me."

When I got back from London, I drove out to Nantucket to go see Grandma and tell her. Needless to say that she was slightly disappointed but she said that she understood that things happen. She asked me if the father was going to be a part of our lives. I explained to her that he wouldn't. Of course Grandma had to give me the same lecture that she'd given Mom my entire life. Once I told Grandma my plan for getting my Master's and working at Chilton she was more than happy to help.

After leaving Grandma's, I headed to Boston to go see Dad. Even though I knew that telling Grandma was going to be hard, telling Dad was going to be even harder. I mean after all the Gilmore Girls were repeating history in a way. I just hoped that Dad wouldn't be too disappointed in me.

"So what do I owe a visit?" Dad asked me when he came back with a cup of coffee for me.

I took the coffee. "Let me ask you something Dad. Do you think that Mom was wrong to raise me by herself?" I asked.

I could see that Dad was thinking about his answer. "Do I wish that I had been around more when you were growing up? Of course I do but Ror, your mom could always do anything that she put her mind to… besides I think that she did a pretty bang up job with you. Why?" Dad said.

I took a deep a breath. "I'm pregnant." I said.

Dad let out a sigh. He ran his hand over his face. "The father?" He asked.

"Not in the picture." I said. He nodded.

"Well, I'm here… whatever you need." Dad said.

I smiled at him. "Thanks."

The next several months were busy. Dad helped me get a condo in Hartford. He also helped me get registered for school. I called Headmaster Charleston and told him that I was all set to start my classes for my Master's. Mom helped me get all of my stuff moved from her house to my condo. Everything was going according to plan.

Grandma, Mom and Lane had planned a baby shower for me when it got closer to my due date. Dad had even promised to buy anything that I would still need. He even bought me a brand new SUV.

The day I went into labor was the worst. I'd been in labor for 18 hours. Lana had been staying with me because neither mom or dad could take off work. She's driven me to the hospital then called mom, dad and Grandma. She'd stayed by my side until mom could get there. They'd both been in the delivery room with me. I'd been in so much pain and I was so tired. But at 3:53 AM my daughter finally decided to grace us with her presence. Mom was happy about the name that I'd picked. Lorelai Elizabeth Gilmore. Ellie for short. A new generation of Gilmore Girls had been born.
