I use fanfiction as a way to hone my craft; I'm very serious about my writing, and welcome criticism. I hate it when I see fanfic writers responding badly to criticism, and--worse--their writing getting worse as time goes by. If there's something up with my style, if it's not clear, let me know! I promise I will respond respectfully!

They Call This Closure? will be updated when I feel like it, but at least once a month. There are three arcs, the first reaching over the space of five years; the second, over fourteen; and the last, through five years at least. We are a third of the way through of the first arc, about to begin the second third next update. My main project is a crossover called Harry Potter and the Cursed Mark, which is a Harry Potter-Naruto fanfic set during the former's fifth year. I have about seven chapters and 20,000 words written, out of twelve chapters, and chapters will be probably posted monthly. On Tumblr, at my profile , I have several drabble aus going on--the Millrat AU, where Tobias Snape is injured in an accident at the mill, forcing Severus Snape to drop out of Hogwarts and Lily to take a much more active role against Mulciber's gang; the Stepfather AU, where James and Lily survive and divorce, and Harry at 16 handles a summer with his mother's new boyfriend moving in, Severus Snape; and the Augury Gang, where Eileen Snape dies very soon after Severus' birth, and Tobias raises his son and his son's best friend as anarcho-syndicalists. I also have a drabble and a short story imagining one way Snape could've survived Deathly Hallows, and ending up with Narcissa Malfoy of all people in a dingy safehouse in New York City. I have been lurking on fanfiction.net since 2006. This website's watched me grow up. I have read a great deal of fanfiction and am trying to consolidate my favorites in this profile, from Fruits Basket to Harry Potter. I hope you peruse my favorite stories; those writers are really good, and have gotten me through some tough times.

In real life, I'm an archaeologist. It's less exciting than you think, but great if you like teamwork, getting dirty, and licking shards of pottery.

Fanfiction.net taught me how to read. Well-read writers like textualsphinx were a godsend; I read what they had recommended on their bios, and mimed their styles. You can't be a decent writer if you're not a good reader. So, here are some of the books that taught me how to read:
