As Jack Harkness finds his life unexpectedly on the line - he finds he makes contact with the Doctor in a similar position contemplating how they have influenced each other.

It's early 2002 in Sunnydale and on the eve of her 20th birthday Buffy is not in a good place. The Doctor has just had his world challenged by being confronted with an entity possibly even more evil than a Dalek that claimed to be Satan. However their worlds are about to collide with each others with other confrontations that are unusual even in their unusual worlds.

Angel and his collegues at Wolfram and Hart have just agreed to take down The Circle of Black Thorn when they receive some unexpected visitors.
