Kingdom Hearts – Dual Destinies OC FORM

Rules: Read and follow all of these roles when filling out and submitting your OC form. Failure to comply will result in an immediate rejection.

1) You must PM both myself and WolfieRed23 your completed OC form with the subject “Kingdom Hearts: Dual Destinies OC.” The reason we ask that you submit the form to both of us is so that we can both look at it without one of us having to copy and paste the form and message it to the other. This can be time consuming with all of the forms that will be submitted so it just makes our lives easier.

2) We want original characters so please don’t submit a character with the same name of a character that you’ve used to submit to some other SYOC and please do not use the character you’ve submitted to this story for another story if they have been accepted or if we are thinking of using them.

3) You must fill out every field but erase everything in the parenthesis before submitting the form. If you have any questions, just ask either one of us before submitting the form.

4) Do not change or delete any fields on the form unless you feel it absolutely necessary and provide an explanation for why you chose to do so.

5) Do not use a keyblade that already exists or one created by someone else that you found on the internet. We want everything about this character to come from you. If you cannot create a Deviant Art account, we will find a way to work this out.

6) No overpowered characters! They need to have a balance of strengths AND weaknesses. On that same note, no Mary Sues/Gary Stues. Give these characters dimension. We don't want a bunch of loner, silent bada* characters. Give them personality and flaws and things about them that make them unique!

7) If you submitted a character to Legacy918, you are free to submit it to us so long as it is human or very human-like in appearance. A mermaid character would not be all that useful on missions and it’d be too complicated if a Keyblade-wielding lion hung out at the Land of Departure.

Background Information

Home World: (To make my and Wolfie’s life easier, let’s stick with the worlds revealed up to Dream Drop Distance because the sleeping worlds in that game will have been brought back to the Realm of Light by the time KH3 is over. You may have your character originate from newer worlds as they are introduced and built upon like the Tangled and Big Hero 6 worlds. Note: the twin’s will be from a world we’ve created but it will be the only fanmade one.)

History: (Just their past and how Ventus, Aqua, Terra, Lea, and/or Riku find them.)

Combat Style

Job: (Most Final Fantasy games have a class system in which each playable character falls under a specific “job.” Such jobs include Knight, Black Mage, Summoner, Ninja, and more, each with a set of strengths and weaknesses, equipment, and abilities. By giving your character a job, Wolfie and I can better get a sense of their role in a team and their general fighting style. The magically-inclined jobs tend to stay at the back of the action, supporting their allies by either buffing them or attacking/debuffing the enemies. There are higher level jobs that have characteristics of lower levels jobs like the Paladin which is a mixture of Knight and White Mage or the Red Mage which is basically a Knight that can use both White and Black Magic. These jobs are cool because the character can do more things however a Red Mage cannot defeat a Knight in a sword fight or a Black Mage in a contest of magic. By giving your character a mixed class, they learn a wider variety of abilities and spells but learn less of each type than their pure counterparts and to a lesser level so we strongly advise you to think about what definite role you want your character to play in a team.)

Keyblade Description: (This is probably the most difficult field to fill out but try your best to explain what your keyblade looks like in the most fluid way possible. It won’t help if Wolfie and I get lost trying to visualize it. It’s okay for the keyblade to have a simplistic design like Kingdom Key but make sure it speaks to their character like Aqua’s Rainfell and Riku’s Way to Dawn.

Fighting Style: (Do they just whack away at their opponents like Sora or go for swift, deadly strikes like Riku? Slam their Keyblade into their enemies like Terra or use magic-based attacks like Aqua?)

Battle Statistics

(For this section, rate each one on a scale of 1-10 but don’t make your character over powered 1-3 is poor, 4-6 is decent, 7-9 is proficient, and 10 is their excellent. Your character should not have perfect 10’s across the board. That’s a quick way to get them rejected. The points allotted to each stat should reflect your character’s class. For instance, Mili would have high Magic and Mana and low Attack and Stamina, however no one is allowed to give their character a 0 in any stat. They have to have at least 1 point in each stat.)

Attack: (This is just their physical strength. How hard can they hit?)
Endurance: (This can be considered physical defense. How well can they take a physical hit?)
Stamina: (If you’ve ever played a FF game, this is AP and used only for their attack. In this case, abilities like Sora’s Ars Arcanum or Sonic blade would rely on Stamina. In a less video-game perspective, it’s how long you can stay active and fighting.)
Agility: (Simply how fast they can move.)
Evasiveness: (How well can they dodge a hit?)
Accuracy: (How often do they hit their mark?)
Magic: (Is magic the first thing they resort to in a fight? Do they have basic or advanced spells?)
Resistance: (This is their defense on the magical side. How well can they take a spell like Firaga? Higher resistance means that they are less susceptible to status spells.)
Mana: (This is your character’s MP. Higher MP means they can use more spells in one go.)

Abilities

Spells Levels: (Okay so this is a little complicated. You need to not only write the spells that they know like Fire, Thunder, Blizzard, Cure, Gravity, Aero, etc., but also write the level so for fire, Fire, Fira, or Firaga. Heavy magic users can have high levels of most or even all magic. Weaker magic users shouldn’t have that many spells and for some jobs, they shouldn’t have magic at all.)

Summons: (Unless your character’s job is a Summoner, they should not have more than one summon. Most characters shouldn’t have any summons. For this story, we’ll go with charms so unless you’re using the summons that appear in KHII, which are Chicken Little, Genie, Stitch, and Tinkerbell, name the summon’s charm and describe the picture on it. You are free to come up with a summon of your own from the Disney universe but don’t go with something unreasonable like Scar or one of the Titans from Hercules.)

Glider: (Not every student is at the same level so please mention if they can transform their Keyblade into a glider yet or not. If so, what does the glider look like? If they cannot use a glider, do they learn by the end of the story? If they do, at what point do you think that they should learn?)

Armor: (Like with gliders, some students may not have armor so indicate whether they do or do not yet. If they do have armor, describe it. If not, do they learn? If so, at what point?)

Armor Piece: (A piece of their armor MUST be present on their fighting outfit if they do have armor so describe the piece and where they wear it.)

Shotlock: (Only one Shotlock per character but they are not absolutely necessary. Only use them if you deem it necessary and if having one fits with the character. You are free to use any of the Shotlocks listed further down this form. If there is a Shotlock exclusive to Ventus, Aqua, or Terra that you feel would be appropriate for your character, feel free to select it but explain why.)

Special Abilities/Attacks: (Different characters have unique attacks like Sora's Strike Raid, Riku's Dark Shield, and Mickey's Pearl attack. Don't go crazy with a bunch of broken attacks, but you're free to give your character abilities and attacks that will enhance their fighting capabilities. We’d like to see a mix of abilities that exist in Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy and some that you come up with yourself. Please indicate where the ability originates from. If it’s an original ability, give a break description of it.)

NOTE: Now it’s expected that most, if not all, people that submit a character without one of the above skills or equipment will say that they want their character to get it later on. That being said, please do not get upset if we decide to not give your character the desired item at all by the end of the story. The reason for this is that it takes time to develop a character learning how to get a new power or ability and we do not want to stray too much from the actual plot for every character that is requested to gain an ability or abilities to learn them.

Personal Information

Name: Last then first.
Moniker/Alias: Optional. E.g. Kakashi was often called the “Copy Ninja,” Might Duy was called the “Eternal Genin.”
Age: This isn’t the age of war anymore so a 9-year-old Chuunin is not likely to happen anymore. Your character shouldn’t be too old either because ninja careers typically end while the person is young.
Gender: Self-explanatory.

Affiliation

Village: Any of the cannon villages.
Clan: Can be an existing one (obviously not Uchiha) or one your make up. Be sure to describe the clan’s traits and qualities if you do make one up like how the Akimichis are generally plumper, the Inuzukas partner with a dog and have red face paint, the Hyuga have pupil-less eyes.
Allegiance: Who are they loyal and dedicated to? Their village? Their clan? A certain group? Etc.

Appearance

Eye Color: No dual-eye colors unless there is a purpose.
Hair Color: No rainbows.
Hair Style: You have complete freedom.
Height: Make it appropriate to age unless it’s a certain trait that runs in this person’s clan.
Build: Be descriptive.
Skin Tone: Be realitstic. I haven't seen any dark-skinned ninja outside of Kumo other than Cho-Cho (though she's Karui's daughter and Karui moved to Konoha because !!!SPOILERS!!! she's married to Choji) but I won't mind if your character has dark skin and is not a Kumo ninja though I will require an explanation of how this happened (i.e. they migrated or their family migrated) and why this happened somewhere on this form.
Other: Anything else like birthmarks, scars, tattoos, etc.

Clothes

Casual Outfit: They wear this while out on a stroll around the village.
Fighting Outfit: They wear this for missions and training.
Forehead Protector: Which village’s protector do they wear and where do they wear it?
Equipment: These aren’t weapons. These are things that your character keeps on them such as shuriken pouches, a sheath, or a large scroll. Also say where they keep this equipment.
Tools: List ALL of the tools that this character uses, including kunai and shuriken. This is because some characters don’t use these at all despite them being staples such as Haku or Tayuya.
Tools Location: Aside from the obvious kunai being in kunai holsters and swords being in sheaths, where do they keep other tools such as Demon Wind Shuriken and senbon, things that don’t have a specific place to be kept.

Overall Personality: Don’t just list qualities. Explain how they behave in different settings and with different people.
Likes: List at least 3.
Dislikes: List at least 3.
Strengths: List at least 3.

Rank: Academy Student, Genin, Chuunin, Tokubetsu Jonin, Jonin, or Anbu
Classification: Do they have a specific role such as torture and interrogation, police, hunter-nin, Kage’s bodyguard, etc.
Kekkei Genkai: You can choose an already existing one or make a new one. Explain what it is and how it works if it’s a new one. Since it was never revealed what Kekkei Genkai are the result of Fire with Lightning and Wind with Lightning so we’ll leave it this way. Don’t invent a new one with these elemental combinations.
Elemental Attribute(s): Most Jonin-level shinobi have at least two different attributes for versatility but try not to have more than three.
Specialities: What is your character’s strong points in combat? Taijutsu? Genjutsu? Shurikenjutsu? Time-space Ninjutsu? The character can have multiple strengths but shouldn’t have more than three.

Jutsu List

Name: Provide the jutsu’s Name. If this is an original jutsu, also provide an explanation. If not, I can look it up on Narutopedia.
Classification: Is it ninjutsu, taijutsu, time-space ninjutsu, kenjutsu, etc.? Some techniques may have more than one classification. E.g. The 4th Raikage’s Lightning Release Chakra Mode classified as Ninjutsu and Chakra Flow.
Nature: Which chakra nature does this jutsu have. Genjutsu have Yin Release and ninjutsu that utilize physical energy like the Akimichi ninjutsu have Yang Release. Some jutsu might also have multiple natures.
Rank: This may be a tad difficult to determine for your original jutsu because this basically determines how powerful and difficult the technique is to learn, master, and use. E.g. all of the academy ninjutsu are considered E-rank, Body Flicker Technique is D-rank, Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique is C-rank, Flying Swallow is B-rank, Rasengan is A-rank, and Rasenshuriken is S-rank.
Class: Not to be confused with classification. Class refers to whether the jutsu is offensive, defensive, or supplementary. Some jutsu can have more than one class.
Range: Can be short, short to mid, mid, mid to long, long, or all ranges.
Hand Seals: What hand seals are necessary for the jutsu? Some jutsu do not require any hand seals but try to be realistic when inventing jutsu.

(Copy-and-paste for each jutsu. There is no limit for each ninja rank but be realistic that not everyone wants to learn every jutsu possible like Orochimaru or has a Sharingan like Kakashi. Sometimes the best ninja make use of the little they have like Shikamaru or Shino.)
