Chapter 3: different ways of season 3 part 1.

Alexis and Jaden met after the battle of the Society of Light. She had been fighting innumerable duels until he won against Sartorius. Having won that fight made Jaden feel even more responsibility for the things happening around. Alexis faced him with a smile. There were unspoken words between them as the tiredness got to Jaden and he fell into her embrace after the tough fight. Alexis was surprised but gripped his head and brought warmth to Jaden. Both were changing so much ever since they started in this Duel Academy, now they were much more mature than the first-years they had been.

It was the next morning where Alexis confessed her feelings to him. By the sacred beasts' teasing, he had no choice but to confess his own feelings. And for the first time, Jaden got a girlfriend in Alexis. Finally, they were headed for the third, and final year of the Academy. With the spirits by his side he'd finally start the last year of this insane period of his life. Chazz finally ordered those to paint the Obelisk Dorm back to its original blue color and things were looking up.

"Jaden, Where are you, Jaden?" Dark swirled about, there was a black mist enveloping everything. "My beloved Jaden Yuki, why did you abandon me?"

There was darkness and terror, something gripped him and wouldn't let go no matter what he did. Then a green eye, and a golden one stared him across the space. There was a desert, and the Duel Academy appeared far away, the people that always supported him were now made in stone in the vast desert—their bodies petrified. Horribly, when touched, they turned into golden dust and flew away. Then, a more despair-inducing thing came into view. The body of Alexis, impaled through her stomach by a spear. Then, the three sacred beasts were only cards on the ground, wasted by the terrible weather, nothing more than scraps. Everything Jaden had was dead and gone.

This was a horrible nightmare. Jaden opened his own golden scary eyes and saw the professor collapse after the duel.

The professor named Viper appeared to be someone capable, the Principal trying to make him leave Silfer Red by all means. However, the dorm was nice and empty for him now. He liked being in the coastal dorm, it soothed the anxiety in his heart. Going to Obelisk was too tacky after the whole Society of Light business. Of course, Alexis coming to stay for the weekends at his dorm didn't factor in at all, nor the daring infiltrations to her room in Obelisk.

Still, this new Professor had quite the scary look.

The ceremony had many fresh new faces, then there was one girl he faced back when he was a first-year, her flirting made Alexis extremely mad. And finally, students transferring from other schools were introduced to the student body one after another. These were the best students from each of the Academy's branches all over the world, the best duelists from each. Adrian Gecko, Axel Brodie, Jim "Crocodile" Cook, and a boy named Jesse Anderson. He was the blue-haired young man who could also see spirits just like Jaden could. Jaden met him on the roof a few hours ago. So at his age, instead of being a junior, Jaden thought he was just entering Duel Academy but he transferred here from somewhere else in the world instead.

Jesse was quite the fun duelist. Their introductory duel had been amazing with introducing Jesse's rare deck, the Gem Beasts. They had some entertaining effects that really shined Jesse's honest proselyte. Both Jaden and Alexis welcomed Jesse as their close friend after that. Jesse dueled not only with Syrus, but also with Aster. And the last match was against Alexis, with her barely making the cut and drawing the match. Jesse was a tough cookie, despite his kind persona. Still, Jaden felt something was wrong. There was something off with everything that had happened.

Jaden looked at the sky, terrible memories and emotions of that time surfacing from within. The three Sacred Beasts disguised as students looked at him, their emotions indescribable. "Jaden, my beloved Jaden, I'll see you soon."

Jaden closed his eyes, her voice not reaching him. "It's a pity Jesse didn't have a rainbow dragon. His deck is so strong." Still, he felt something was wrong with Professor Viper. He put bracelets that were supposed to be worn on duels and then announced a championship. Jaden felt the start of this year was much more hectic.

However, as the duels kept piling up, Jaden felt more and more drained. Like something was sucking out his power. He chalked it up to how frequently he had to duel. Meanwhile, Adrian Gecko had a deep suspicion of the things happening. Still, the guy with the crocodile, Jim Cook was quite the interesting character, he was even able to match Hasselberry in a duel. However, Jim Cook handily lost to the three sacred beasts, who were duelists on par with Jaden. Unfortunately, it was like there was an energy drain happening. The bracelets they were wearing started absorbing their energy. Since the sacred beasts had a lot of it, the harvest went well. However, the sacred beasts were so angry that they almost exploded with their anger. Alexis was also finding the situation weird enough.

"That professor is definitely behind this, he's the one who put these bracelets on us." Alexis whispered to him as they passed the night watching the moonlight. Jaden nodded. It was time to confront Professor Viper who was behind this. These secret gatherings of Jaden and Alexis were happening more and more often, Alexis had to confess it, she was falling more and more in love with Jaden as the third year passed.

However, things suddenly changed, and things went from bad to absolute worst. Things would never be the same if that kid mentioned something to them.

"Come on, let's go to a new world."

Even after a harsh time dueling so many and trying to wreck Professor Viper's plans, that kid mentioned it to them. Hidden in a veil of gold, with a terrifying demon's arms, that kid said that to Jaden and the others. A place of deserts, where spirits inhabited the world as creatures. The three sacred beasts returned to their original form, under Jaden's command, with them, he took control of the school during that trying time. In a world of barren lands with only the Academy behind them ,they had to be smart. Still Adrian and other bad actors were still crawling in the background. Things were bad.

Alexis and Syrus supported Jaden during this whole thing, he ruled like a leader, making sure everyone got food and water. Meanwhile Neos and the sacred beasts patrolled the air around the Academy, defeating any duel creature that got close. Viper's plan worked and they got transported to a different dimension. Between duel ghouls and conspiracies, Jaden needed to resolve what was happening here. Things became worse after everyone suddenly became ghouls, only wanting to duel, it was someone controlling them disguised as hunger. That golden kid was behind this, and it had possessed Marcel. Finally, Marcel made his move, and summoned the unstoppable Exodia and the beast crumbled Jaden's rule, sending both him and his sacred beasts to the desert, Neos suffered a big blow at that. Alexis however, came to find him, and treated his wounds. It wasn't even a duel ,that coward kid just knew it couldn't win against Jaden in straight up fight, and had backstabbed him, summoning Exodia with Jaden's back turned. Of course Jaden couldn't keep up with Exodia's onslaught after being blindsided and critically wounded. A normal person would have died, but Marcel did not care.

As Jaden and Alexis walked back to finally confront Marcel, the kid spoke in a female voice, scaring Alexis and making things even worse for Jaden as he clenched his wounds. "It's time Jaden. Do you remember how I suffered? How I pleaded for your help, Jaden? I've never forgotten, It's about time we settled this. For all eternity you'll be mine."

Jaden faced Marcel, who had brainwashed the three sacred beasts, now they were not by Jaden's side anymore. And with Exoida hovering behind the academy, this duel in the deserts of time and dimensions felt like a good day to die. However, Jaden was failing, with the three of his friends now dealing damage to his deck, the three sacred beasts had become precious cards to him with the two years he'd been with them. To see them mindless and attacking him. "Are you stopping, Jaden? Your suffering just barely started. I want to make you understand my pain even more. If this alone finishes you off. I won't forgive you."

If it wasn't for Jesse and Alexis supporting him, he might have just given up right then and there in the face of his three friends and Exodia behind the school. Jaden saw the flames of burning envy as Marcel glared at Alexis. The hatred in those eyes were insurmountable. Finally, Alexis and Jesse joined the fight against Marcel and the Sacred Beasts. With Jaden only barely alive with 500 LP, and Alexis and Jesse with 4000 LP. Marcel by the rules was now with 12,000 LP.

"Jaden's girlfriend? Jaden's friend? Why you two, I didn't remember allowing this to happen. Jaden has been mine since before he ever met you two. Now, let's get rid of the pests, shall we Jaden?" Marcel, or the creature possessing him said it directly to Jaden, as Alexis was dropped to 2,000 LP and Jesse was like him with 1000 LP the three sacred beasts still stood strong, and it was a matter of time before Marcel would summon Exodia. Jaden stood strong now and faced Marcel with everything he got. Even after Uria, Raviel and Hamon were fused into Armityle the Chaos Phantasm.

Then finally, Marcel's body dropped, and the golden spirit inside of him surged. Neglecting Marcel entirely and kicking him out of the field mercilessly. A demon, with a woman's body. With golden and green eyes. Those golden eyes mirrored Jaden perfectly. Yet they were full of hatred and pain. "Don't tell me you've forgotten about little old me, Jaden?"

Jaden had tears falling from his eyes, even after Jesse and Alexis were stumped by this demon's appearance. "Yubel… How are you here?"

"Do you want to know the pain and suffering I went through because of you? No, I'll drag out everything, and crush everything you hold dear, Jaden. And after that, you'll become mine forever, Jaden."

Even after all that, she still possessed Jesse, and dragged every living human to a new horrifying dimension. There was no turning back now. Here, when you duel, and lose, you die. And Yubel's first order of business was hunting down Alexis and killing her. Killing Jaden's loved one. A bright world, and hell on earth as well. This hell was only starting to take form.
