![]() Author has written 8 stories for Naruto, Mass Effect, and A song of Ice and Fire. Announcement: Looking for Beta! PM me if you're interested! Name: Please address me by my nome de plume. My actual name is quite impossible to pronounce correctly by any other people then my countrymen (and some Finnish people, for some reason). Gender: That's a very complex definer which grows increasingly problematic in our modern society. Let's just say that I'm nominally male (ergo external reproductive organs and beard). Languages: My native language and it's sign language variant are my two first, after which German and French are my third and fourth languages. I would consider English the fifth language I learnt. In addition I've studied Latin, Japanese and Arabic at length... And I've also made quite the disastrous attempt at learning Gaelic (What can I say? I was going to live in Dublin for a while and just kinda went... nuts). Accent: In English I used to veer mainly towards RP (the parlance of good ol' upperclass London and the leeches in human form working at the BBC, ergo fairly posh) but I've since then come to my senses and tend to be fairly Irish whilst speaking. If you find me writing such things as "Faith and Begorrah!" and "Are ye busting for a bollocking?!", please do forgive me. I can't help it ;-) Literary Preferences and Favourites: I grew up on Stephen King and David Gemmell, and though I've sort of fallen out of enarmouracy with the former I've found myself being able to enjoy the latter in a more holistic way as I've gotten older (Please not that by the time of writing I've only just about had my twentieth birthday). Favourite Poetry: Edgar Allan Poe was the shit in my opinion as I grew up, and I still find the alliterative appeal and loquacious elegance quite enthralling. Other than that... Alexander Pope, John Dryden, Chaucer, Emily Dickinson for English (that's for all my anglophone peeps out there. Peace!). When it comes to German my favourite is Goethe, in French it's Baudelaire, and in Latin it's Lucretius... and isn't that depressing? All of them went insane in one form or another. As for Japanese; I would say any Samurai's death poem, just by their nature as the final works of those literally on death's door (yes, I am quite morbid, I am self aware). And lastly, for Russian... Mayakovsky, I guess? Favourite Drama: As a person foreign to English I would say Shakespeare (that just means I'm pretentious like Rasputin with his dick hanging out and about as subtle in my attempt at being a smart-arse intellectual). Favourite Food: Anything I cook is next to guaranteed to be awesome, and you can take that to the bank! Favourite Article of Clothing: My da's old leather jacket, which I've had since I was ten. It's worn and the padding is falling out, but it fits like a glove and every time I wear it I feel like home. Favourite Music: Metal-head born and raised. \,/ o_o \,/ Favourite Afternoon activity: Going training down at the Karate dojo with sensei, going jogging, reading and/or writing, going out on the pub for a few pints with the mates... I like a lot of stuff, and there's not so much I dislike. Oh Ancient, Oh sovereign, Oh sky-soaring North! - Kopiera denna status och klistra in den på din profil om du är Svensk! |
