Final Chapter: Final Confrontation / Wedding with Alexis.

For many months now Syrus had been worried whether Jaden would find his way back or was he truly dead. Alexis was gone as well and the school felt a little bit colder due to it. However, one day Jaden had returned along with the three sacred beasts masquerading as humans, Alxis was by his side. It seems they had some months to sort out the feelings of their group. Syrus was worried when he saw the golden and blue-green eyes of Jaden, however he was relieved to hear Jaden's voice instead of Yubel.

"We have had many months to strop out our feelings. Me and Yubel went soul searching with Alxis as well."

"Did you, brother?" Syrus pressed him. Syrus also talked about the happenings after they left. Jesse had remembered his actions under Yubel's influence and he was horrified by what he did and how many people he'd killed over the course of that dark time. "He went on a journey to apologize to those he killed in that world, he remains optimistic that he can apologize to them." Meanwhile the new first years had all made a name for themselves. It should be stated that the students were all in Jaden's utopic kingdom before it was destroyed by Yubel, miraculously nobody had died during that attack. Yubel was so laser-focused on Jade at that point that it didn't matter. The other people who had died in that world had returned thankfully. Jaden and Yubel talked in length about her sins.

However, some people did not return alive, they were already destined to die. Some returned but went into hiding, never showing their presence again. The effects of what Yubel did were still prevalent and could not be erased so simply.

The last year was drawing to a close now. Jaden and Alexis still loved each other in the lone dorm of the previous Silfer's Red. He was now supposed to be an Obelisk since the different dorms had been united, however he still wore his red uniform over his muscular body, and a dark turtleneck sweater that was tight against his muscles that showed his abs. Jaden after 3 years of growing up now reached 6'2 and was now Alexis's boyfriend, not in secret anymore but in public as well. The three sacred beasts had connected with both Jaden and Yubel even further, and they were ready to leave his side when he graduated.

"Should we marry when we graduate?" Alexis posed a question to him as they watched the night sky full of stars. His two heterochromia eyes shined, and he nodded. He was hugging her from behind and both drew into a loving kiss.

The graduation was drawing nearer, he had studied less during the third year due to the disasters happening that covered most of the semesters. But he was thankful to go back to having classes and impressionable juniors he had to look out for. He was dueling more than a dozen people a day since Jaden was so famous. Of course, he didn't lose to anyone after all. Yubel doesn't like when he loses. Alexis joined him in dueling the whole school for the final few months. However, he needed to relate the last incident that shook his school life.

Axel Brodie, one of his greatest confidants during the Yubel disaster, saw that in Domino city the people were disappearing, that they started to move. Trueman had attacked and was a messenger of darkness. After so many duels the guy was still raising himself to cause problems. Jaden had dueled this guy four times already, and each time he came back.

Jaden and the sacred beasts arrived in Domino City, the city that Seto Kaiba lived in and found them empty. Along its empty streets and liminal spaces, Jaden investigated the town. He entered the Seto Kaiba corporation only to find himself against an army of shadowy beings that turned to Axel Brodie. Jaden was surprised and a bit hurt seeing that his friend was taken from him into the world of darkness. The emissary would pay for this. Even after facing so many of them with his powers. He was faced with so many of his past antagonists, Sartorius being one of them. Saying things that the academy was in danger.

So this was all a ploy to lead me here while the enemy prepares. This means the enemy fears me.

Jaden's dark aura surged, with the power of the Supreme King, his sacred beasts and Yubel. Everything was concentrated on him as he walked forward to the duel between him and Sartorius. He did not waste time in hearing about the boring man's words of destiny before he beat him. Nobody would stop Jaden from returning to the Academy. However, Sartorius disappeared within the darkness of shadows. Jaden then knew that many lives were at stake. I do not fear my enemy, because I will stand as the strongest, I've already learned everything with the Sacred Beasts, and Yubel.

Jaden arrived and faced countless of the messengers of darkness before Syrus palcated him, Syrus was still alive and kicking, and he had a worried look. "Where's Alexis?"

"She's gone, I'm sorry Jaden."

"No, I promised I'd marry her straight out of school. Just like Sartorius I'm going to save all of them."

Jaden had used Yubel's power to analyze the darkness and knew there was something fishy going on. The people that disappeared were not truly gone. If only he could find the mastermind and put an end to all this.

Finally, they met Alexis' brother, Atticus, fighting against an unknown masked guy. He appeared to be the true mastermind of this whole thing. Jaden was itching to destroy him and end this madness, however Atticus stated for Jaden and Syrus to stay back and watch.

Finally, he unmasked the true mastermind behind the whole thing.

"So you've known all along who I was."

"Of course, the only man beside me to have that card is Yusuke Fujiwara." Atticus roared, Fujiwara was taken over by Nightshroud and it was this influence that had led to this. Along with Trueman erasing the lives of the students here with his strange powers. As their duel turned into the clear world, Jaden knew that this duel was doomed from the start. He sweated a bit, knowing that whoever was controlling Fujiwara was something not of this world. The world of darkness was beginning, but Jaden had to cut this from ever taking over the entire world.

Meanwhile Fujiwara gloated throughout the duel, as Atticus became more and more weaker with time. The scale of this felt not too dissimilar to Yubel, however there was a sense of danger and violence with no mercy or love, unlike Yubel who was filled with the tragedy of love. However, something frightening happened, beyond all expectations, Atticus had made them tie, destroying both of them in the end in the duel. Jaden was not expecting that in the least, as the explosion rocked them both, and Jaden held an arm to his face as he watched the dust settle. However, time rewound itself, to a previous point in the duel where Fujiwara had not lost.

Jaden had his jaw on the ground as this time Fujiwara used his knowledge of the future to beat Atticus into the floor. However, Syrus had not noticed the rewind and did not know of the future that Jden and Fujiwara had seen. Jaden shuddered as he knew that this power wasn't to be taken lightly.

"Now, let the final true duel begin, I've been waiting for you, Jaden. Now you will know that darkness is the true answer to all. Nightshroud shall take over everything. And I'm going to prove that by destroying you first." Fujiwara laughed. The world was enveloped in a shroud of shadows. The school which was previously morning had turned into night almost immediately.

"Jaden, let me fight too." Syrus equipped his dueling deck and Fujiwara arrogantly sneered at the little boy's impudence. No matter, Fujiwara deemed it worthy to send two opponents to the grave. The triangle battle royal had just begun. The clear world had arrived for both Jaden and Syrus.

Jaden was bleeding from all his pores, as he kneeled to the ground and gasped for air in the darkness. Nightshroud, the monster who came from Fujiwara stared menacingly at Jaden, as he drew more cards.

"Still bummed by the loss of your friend, even after he sacrificed his life to save yours?"

Jaden was surrounded by darkness, but he still rose with the help of Neos. His body was breaking all over as he stared at what seemed to be death incarnate. Syrus, you doubted me so much back then ,what made you sacrifice yourself for me, my friend?

Jaden still couldn't figure Syrus out after three years of being with him, still he was his best friend. Syrus, If I ever survive this, then can you be my best man?

Jaden was counting on it since weddings are not his thing. But he was in love with Alexis so much that he wanted to be with her forever and ever. A few times Nightshroud had rewound time on his duels. The most egregious ones were with Jaden, where Jden would beat him, only for him to return. However, Jaden noticed a pattern where Nightshroud had a limit to where he could return, if he could force Nightshroud into a time where every move led to Nightshroud's erasure, then there was nothing more the supernatural being could do.

Jaden and Yubel along with the Sacred Beasts and Neos unleashed the full power of his deck. As Nightshroud grew increasingly strong, it was difficult for Yubel and Neos to keep up. So as true as he had always done, Jaden used the fusion traits of his deck, his cards were used in conjunction with each other, Neos and Yubel fused to fight Nightshroud, who kept raising the stakes in this mirror-like world, the palace got even brighter and brighter as monsters encased were too much for even his deck.

For the first time, Jaden's confidence wavered as Neos Wiseman fell in battle, along with Yubel. However, both of them urged Jaden not to give up. Finally, he summoned Neos from the grave, and then Uria came through with his massive power. Infusing Neos until he was raised to become Infernal Neos, the alien hero had a long tail and two mouths on his chest that opened and spewed magma. Neos faced the darkness of Nightshroud.

Jaden was almost dying as he walked forward, and death loomed over. But, Neos wasn't done yet. As Uria went to the grave, Hamon replaced him on the field and combined into Thunder Neos. The alien hero had two golden wings that moved mechanically and spewed thunderbolts. Jaden cried in anguish as the new Neos pushed Nightshroud to its limits. Finally, with Neos and Raviel, Ghost Neos with its phantom blue arms numbered like an Asura demon of rage, he was able to kill Nightshroud's Life points. However, it wasn't enough.

Nghitshroud rewound time again, bringing Jaden to the brink of despair. Jaden could not let up, or the world would be finished. The sacred beasts and Yubel still did not let up. If he had to beat Nightshroud at his own game, then he needed to force the darkness into a checkmate no matter how much he rewound back. Jaden realized this was the most difficult duel of his life. The victory conditions seemed unreachable.

Jaden roared as his blood fell on the floor. He resurrected all the sacred beasts onto the field and fused them. Activating a magic card to palace Yubel again on the field. Jaden's eyes glowed brighter and brighter as the heterochromatic eyes returned to full form. Finally, Neos clawed its way back from the grave. The alien hero was still here and still willing to fight.

The friends he made along the way, the old flames of camaraderie, and everything they've gone through. Alexis and Syrus were still waiting for him. Jaden could no longer be bound by the darkness any longer. So finally, he combined Neos with all the Sacred Beasts, along with Yubel leading the charge. Winged Kuriboh, the card Yugi gave him, protected the new divine form of Neos, a bright sun in the face of darkness. It was not a star that would be consumed by black holes, but instead, it was the light of the beginning of everything. A force so powerful that it crushed black holes. Divine Neos had arrived.

Neos aimed his divine hand like a divine spear, and then it shined through this bright world of darkness as a descent of gods that pierced through Nightshroud, killing him again.

However, Nightshroud returned again by rewinding time. However, this time, Jaden smirked victoriously. Thus, his win condition was finally achieved.

With all of Jaden's efforts the sacred beasts, the dark heroes Neos and Yubel had joined forces to make Nightshroud be in an inescapable checkmate. No matter how much he rewound time, Jaden would always have the winning hand. Finally, the being had exhausted its power, and crashed onto the floor of the clear world. Jaden's aura was unleashed as the Supreme King, and as he approached, Divine Neos shone in the world of darkness. And Jaden and Divine Neos feasted on the darkness of Nightshroud, defeating him and turning everything back to what it was. The brilliance of the beginning destroyed any vestiges of the nemesis.

Jaden finally collapsed. And the one who grabbed him was Syrus.

Finally graduation day had come, Jesse and Jaden faced each other in a final duel where the two friends unleashed their decks against each other. Finally Syrus joined in on the fun with a three-way duel that was finally ended with a win for Jaden, who barely got through with only 100 Life Points remaining. Then, his girlfriend Alexis, faced him. Surprisingly, Yubel teamed up with Alexis, transferring her mind over to Alexis, since both were joined together in that other-world battle. They were greatly in sync with one another. They used their wits to force the unbeatable Jaden to a draw, something he never really thought would happen after he really decided to grow strong. But there were so many enemies and so many things happening along with this life. Graduation ended with Jaden proposing to Alexis, he had bought the ring with the help of his friends, and Alexis was so happy.

Jaden and Alexis became engaged after their school years finished. Three years passed since then, his power over the card spirits grew even stronger with the presence of Yubel inside of him, so much so that his monsters were able to manifest in this world, just like the other ones. He was the defending world champion for over three years after Yugi retired, along with Kaiba, the two legends still weighed heavily in the world of cards. Jaden dominated all competitions, with the power of Neos, Yubel and the Sacred Beasts by his side.

Meanwhile, Alexis studied in the most prestigious university, and was able to get a license to teach at the old academy which is producing even more geniuses of the game than before. Alexis would start her first class of teaching next semester. As they were alumni, the cranky director of the school gave them full permission to get married here at the school grounds, a palace with many dear memories and many conflicts that shaped their life.

Jaden and Alexis prepared their wedding right here in the Academy, many had come to his wedding, including Yugi, the one who spurned his adventure on. As a present, Yugi had delivered a set of Exodia cards to Jaden, as a surprise, and then both fought leading to the first time Jaden had since the first year. Jaden smirked as Yugi was so powerful.

Syrus was the best man, and Alexis had such a beautiful dress with blue highlights. The thought of putting the diamond ring in her hand made him a nervous wreck. Alexis was escorted at the isle by her brother Atticus, the man was in Jaden's debt so many times over the years, and he knew that leaving his sister in Jaden's care was the right thing to do. Atticus had seen the love his sister had for the wild duelist that had made a storm and had saved the world countless times.

Jaden smiled as he put the ring on her, and both swore to themselves until death. The sacred beasts were not in the human form anymore but were circling the clear skies outside and roaring for the great day in Jaden's life, the one they have put their hopes into. Yubel was happy that she could spend the rest of her life within Jaden, and she had grown fond of Alexis when she had inhabited her body.

Jaden picked Alexis up and kissed her on the lips in front of everyone. As the applause reached their highest, Jaden rushed with her outside and he boarded the sacred beasts. The couple rushed from the Academy towards the ocean. Syrus rushed outside and saw him on top of Uriel as the sacred beasts went away into the horizon.

"Honesty, where are you going now, Jaden?" Syrus asked, he had worn such a good blazer too for this day.

The audience was still catatonic at the bold move that Jaden had just pulled off, before they rushed outside to see them nesters going away, with the husband and wife.

Syrus faced the horizon with a tender eye. "Goodbye, Jaden, and thanks for everything."
