Hi there, thanks for stopping by. I'm Laineybug. I'm based in the US in good old California. I've been writing for a while, but nothing I've taken the time to finish. I'm not a professional writer by any means, I just want to post my ideas so anyone who wishes to may enjoy them as I do.

Pairings I am interested in:

1. From the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise

Shadow and Amy- This is my OTP. No I really can't explain it. No I don't plan on changing my mind. Yes, I'm aware that I'm slightly insane. Yes, only slightly. Yes they're personalities are too similar in the wrong ways. Yes, she's in love with Sonic. Yes he's immortal and essentially married to his job forever. They're adorable and I love the idea of the two of them finding each other and taking that one in a million chance at a relationship with each other and being happy. They both have a lot to learn about love and what it takes to make it in a relationship, each for their own reasons.

Knuckles and Amy- This one is slowly becoming one of my favorites for most of the same reasons that Shad/Amy became my favorite. Knuckles is a bit lost but always knows who he is at the core of things- there is no second guessing with him, which I think Amy could appreciate. They are both honest, committed, potentially loving, and above all else so damn cute!!! At the very least if they aren't in a romantic relationship in any given fic, I expect them to be platonically attached at the hip.

Sonic and Sally- Definitely not my OTP but the way they were developed in the comics was really sweet. They had some rather rough beginnings but Sonic was able to teach Sally that she couldn't control everything (much less him). In return, she was able to teach him to slow down and appreciate some of the slower aspects of life. They work well on the battle field and it's very clear they work well as friends. Romance is the harder part. I could see Sonic balking at her status as a princess and eventual queen status. I could also see her always keeping her people first in her heart. While I don't believe they would be perfect by any means, they would definitely be best friends in love- which is a sweet concept in and of itself.

Knuckles and Rouge- Always fun to watch. They're a great foil for each other. Rouge is suave, flirty, and very genre savvy. She's constantly in control of her environment and wouldn't have it any other way. Knuckles has a hot temper, immune to most of her feminine wiles, and while not as quick, he can keep up nicely and stay focused when she's trying to deflect. The biggest problem between the two would be trust, however. Rouge could never completely trust Knuckles (not like she does Shadow and Omega, who constantly have her back) and Knuckles could never fully trust Rouge because of that lack of trust and her obsession with the Master Emerald. In the end, she's just too ambitious and Knuckles is just not trusting enough. Why are they on the list? Because it's sweet and heartbreaking, of course! They're like the old couple that you see yelling at each other every chance they get. It's just funny to watch but you know you wouldn't want a relationship like that realistically.

Tails and Cream- No other pairing gives me the same feelings of 'meh' that I get from this couple. Generally whenever I read a fic about any of my other preferred pairings they're there... together. They're too young though! They are 8 and 6 years old respectively, why are they being shipped together? Yes they have rather distinctive character traits and yes Tails is starting to notice women (at least in comics, because let's face it, it's not gonna happen in the video games); however, they never interact, in the video games or the comics. We don't know their needs, their hopes and dreams for the future, whether those wish coincide with each other, or the most important factor- whether they're attracted to one another. I could see them being pushed together later if you put appropriate scenes together to show development in their relationship. Otherwise, it's incredibly forced and lazy.

Antoine and Bunnie- Adorable. Their relationship was subtle but beautiful to watch unfold. It's a good couple to watch to see what's healthy and what's not. As far as a married couple goes, at least for the honeymoon phase, it's fairly accurate. I genuinely wish the comics would delve a bit more into it. Unfortunately... they won't (THANKS SEGA! Xp)

Sally and NICOLE- I love the two of them together. It took me a while to warm up to the idea, but Nicole brings out more of the warmth and humanity in Sally while Sally encourages it in her as well. It's a perfectly balanced relationship that is healthy and sweet.

2. Avatar the Last Airbender.

Zuko and Katara- Yes... I'm a zutara fan. Please put down the pitchforks. They're the AtLA version of shad/amy for me. I find them cute together and while I don't think Katara could deal with being a Fire Lady for the rest of her life with Zuko, I'm still inexplicably drawn to them. There are so many reasons against their relationship but for whatever reason... I still love reading about it. I can't see her and Aang together. I don't know why!!! Curse my irrational fangirl heart!

3. Dragon Ball Z

Vegeta and Bulma- The anime doesn't explore their romance very well. The fanfics, however, explore it... thoroughly... very much so...

4. Shoukugeki no Souma

Souma and Erina- I didn't want them to be together in the beginning- because one of my biggest pet peeves is a tsundere with no reason to tsun... Erina has plenty of reason to be the way she is, though. On top of that, as much as I also ABSOLUTELY ADORE The idea of Souma and Megumi together... she wouldn't challenge Souma. Erina constantly challenges him and forces him into creativity that even he hasn't explored. It's ultimately what he wants and Megumi... yes she inspires him a lot and would be a really gentle force in their relationship... Erina just demands more of him and he's more than willing to deliver AND get her to deliver as well.

5. Codename: Kids Next Door

Kuki and Wally- I've been rewatching this series recently. Boy did I forget how massively creative this show was. The best is the Wally/Kuki bits though. Wally is a great example of a tsundere done right. He says stupid things not because he's naturally mean, but because he's just hyper honest with you. Kuki's sensitivities help teach him how to compromise and soften his blows a bit, while Wally teaches Kuki to keep her damn feet on the ground. He just really wants to keep her safe and close to him while Kuki is just happy he wants to be around her. So much character development between the two of them, especially in fanfiction (although nothing has been updated in MONTHS!!!)

I must be perfectly honest with people- I absolutely despise SonAmy. I can't stand to write it. I hate reading about it. I will never willingly write a SonAmy. You will know I've been hacked, abducted by aliens or are otherwise being forced to do things against my will when I am forced to write a SonAmy scene, much less a SonAmy-centric story. Or I'm about to pull the rug out from under y'all in the worst possible way- whichever is more likely.

What projects I'm planning:

1. Children at Arms

The project will follow Amy Rose on her journey to become a Freedom Fighter. In order to do so, she attends the Freedom Fighter Officer's Academy, where she learns the meaning of leadership, teamwork, and honor before self. This will take a while to get together, a rough outline is in the works at the moment.

2. 100 Moments

100 drabbles (this is no longer a series of drabbles, I fell into the trap and I'm taking you all with me!!!) on Shad/Amy because there's only 199 confirmed Shad/Amy fics and I want to round it UP!

3. Open Your Heart

Shadow is challenged by Rouge to make new friends. A dive into the potential interpersonal relationships between Shadow and the rest of the Sonic the Hedgehog characters.

4. Name TBD

Pride and Prejudice meets Sonic in a Harvest Moon setting. Make sense? Me??? Why-ever for???

5. A Helping Hand

In which one Amy Rose manages to find and rescue Project Shadow before Eggman does.

After the Events of Operation: Z.E.R.O: Numbuh One becomes obsessed with life post decommissioning. In an effort to see if his dad's fate is normal or simply a one in a bamillion best case scenario, he orders the rest of his team to look into the lives of family members that may or may not have been KND operatives in a past life. The team, for their part, learns some interesting things about themselves, their parents, and even a few villains.
