Hello there and welcome to my profile! My name's Laila, though I tend to go by the name of Silent when on the internet. Either is fine :)

I'm a 19 year old girl living in London, about to start my degree while somehow finding enough time to write. Although I'm aiming for a career in veterinary medicine, writing has always been my passion and I plan to get a novel published one day. I also have an invisible disability and am a great advocate for people with all kinds of disabilities.

My main writing focus for the time being is my Harry Potter fic, Always You Three. I only discovered the Harry Potter books a few years ago, and one of the first thoughts that occurred to me while reading the books was 'I wonder if the teachers got up to these sorts of things while they were at Hogwarts?' What followed was a great deal of searching around on the Harry Potter wiki (which is a wonderful resource), an enormous time spent writing notes, and finally the first chapter of a story. I've never had much luck with writing long fics in the past, either I've lost motivation or no-one's taken any interest, so to receive the amount of positive feedback that I have done even so far has been incredible. To any of my readers and reviewers that are reading this, thank you so very very much. I've been writing this fic for nearly three years now and have learned so much from it, when I finally finish it I know I'll be sad to let the story go after so long working on it and everything it taught me.

In addition to Harry Potter, there are a great many fandoms that I'm also a proud member of. The Warrior Cats series has been a part of my life for nearly 10 years now, and I've written a fair few fanfics over the years though none have held my interest enough to keep going at them. I do roleplay however on a fantastic roleplay site run by a good friend of mine, shoot me a PM if you're interested! Horrible Histories and Yonderland are also some of my favourite programs to watch (reliving my childhood here), and there's a possibility that one day I will finish my HH fanfic and perhaps write some Yonderland drabbles too. The HH fic, Laila's Skinnymandria, I am very fond of and am likely to focus on more once Always You Three has been completed.

Beyond writing, I've got plenty of other hobbies keeping me busy! I'm very keen on amature dramatics and the performing arts; I've been a dancer since age 4 and competed since I was 12, and I'm also a good singer and actor too. My first starring role was playing Gertrude McFuzz in the local theatre company's production of Seussical the Musical in February 2015. I'm also a long distance swimmer, rookie lifeguard, and exhibitor of Lionhead rabbits. I've no idea how I have enough time to do it all, but somehow I'm managing it!
