"Dammit Dead Eyes let go!"
Tatsumi stood behind Kurome holding her trying to get her to drop a piece of valuable meat from her hand.
Kurome Didn't even respond she just kept that same look of Hunger in her black eyes as she chewed the piece of meat in her hand.
"lemme..go" She said in between bites
"Kid I am trying to protect you, you dumb ass There's a depression going on you can't just sneak a piece of meat you'll be put down…"
Kurome Didn't break from that clear warning she still stood her ground.
Kurome bit into Tatsumi's hand
"arg...All right fine you can have it!" Tatsumi said releasing his grip
Kurome scurried off behind a tree she looked at him then at her prize protectively before chewing her piece of this weeks hunt.
Tatsumi sighed
"one of these day's That hunger is going to get you killed."
Kurome still said nothing but Stare at Tatsumi as she ate her food.
Tatsumi took a seat right across from her
"You know I am just trying to protect you...Do you even realize that?"
"They euthanized Remus…." Kurome said dropping her guard a little bit so she could Talk to him
"That was awhile ago are you still on that?...she was weak Kurome … an Airhead at that … That's the way it goes around herre.…"
Kurome moved toward Tatsumi, slowly she scooted next to him so she can talk to him better
"You worry me Dead Eyes...I just don't want that to happen to you...And now that your being transferred… your going to do what I asked though right?"
"yea yea me and Natala Aren't going to say word of you existing to anyone including my sister.."
"Thank you… I needed to hear that."
Kurome broke off a piece of the meat she was eating and handed it to Tatsumi
"here...Take Half" She said
Tatsumi hesitated He knew the trouble he could get into just by taking it.
"you told me you would follow us into hell right?" Kurome said still offering the food.
Tatsumi smiled
"I Guess so…" He said taking it and taking a bite out of it
"is it not delicious?." She asked
"its ok but is it worth getting killed over?" he asked
"of course" she said
"you going out on your own again for the next few missions? You could use my help.."
"As much fun as it would be to see you try to blend in with a group full of rich people...i think you best leave it to professionals.." Tatsumi said
"no fair you get Huge nobles that oppose the empire And I get rats who haven't payed their debts."
"don't worry maybe one day I'll teach you infiltration"
"Really?"
"yea… Sure dead Eyes."
Tatsumi was surprised by how excited she got over that
It was then he felt it...He made a slight noise of confusion before he looked at his shoulder...And he saw her head resting on it She was trembling this was very unKurome like.
"w-whats wrong.."
"Im afraid...About seeing my sister again….Im worried I'll see her die Like ...The others.."
"not likely...From what I heard She's one of the most talented one among the elite seven so I think she-"
"It makes her a target!" Kurome said
"Yea I guess it does but.…"
"Your sister… shes not like the others. she's different then the rest. She knows how this game is played
And I can try my best to describe it to you because maybe in the end all it takes for you to survive is to stand out but I know in my heart it takes more... whatever your sister does a trail of death follows her… and normally it would catch up to her in an instant but it never does the only people who can out run death are the people that keep moving forward throwing out all emotions for the sake of being efficient in our art that is what it means to be Number 1.
Listen Kurome no matter what even if its your sisters safety you have to put it behind yours… no matter what…. Assassins don't live by being selfless please don't die for anyone else."

Kurome bowed her head down into Tatsumi's chest she knew he was right. Tatsumi quite liked holding her
"apparently she thinks she's the number one." Tatsumi smirked
"I'll let her keep that illusion.."
"I'm sorry I don't want to appear weak...I ju-"
"appear however you want with me Kurome…. I couldn't care less about how you act...Its how you fight that shows you if your weak or not."

"I wouldn't worry your closest friends with two of the strongest assassins in the world Me and Akame or Natala aren't going anywhere ok?"
"Thank you….Tatsumi...I needed to hear that." she said
"Just promise me when this is all said and done I'll at least have 1 friend to come back to" she said
Tatsumi sighed
"Fine you'll always have me to lean on...I'm just to dam stubborn to die."
"thank you...I don't know what I would do without you…"
Tatsumi looked at her….like she just said something that ended the world around him.
All Tatsumi could do was Lie to her...and he hated himself for it… He hated himself so much….
"Oh god Why am I Thinking about that now?" Tatsumi opened his eyes
Tatsumi's eyes then flashed a bright bright green
"why Tatsumi…." a voice of a certain familiar voice said it was the voice of a black eyed assassin.
"I didn't have a choice Kurome…"
Tatsumi jerked up into his seat bright he was in thought he kept on hearing voices in his head.
"no…..NO!"
"who's…..Memories….are….those..."
He said before running out to the training yard he hunched over looking at the ground
"goddammit you got to be kidding me… I disappeared...She doesn't need me anymore this whole vision thing is bullshit..."
The fact that he was hearing Kurome's voices scared him he didn't want her to even know he was alive He DID NOT want to have to face her again let alone fight her. But again the fact that he was even hearing these voices scared him.
"Tatsumi…" a voice called out
the green eyed killer looked at the source of the voice and saw his boss
"hey boss" He said leaning against the wall of the training yard
"you feeling better?"
"yea its a little much I think I went all out and it was to much for my body to handle" Tatsumi said
"yea well vomiting up blood isn't a very good sign"
"its the dam Black Marlin the powers hurt I cant even move a little water I suck at using it… I should just stick to what im good at boss which is throwing knifes with the speed of bullets."
"Now Tatsumi you wouldn't have absorbed the weapon if you didn't intend to use it.."
Tatsumi sighed
"fine"
"i've been meaning to ask about Incursio…"
Tatsumi went silent
"yea what about it?"
"why didn't you take it?"
"I told you I respected Bulat's honor and decided not to take it."
"stop. Lying." she said with a very sudden serious tone
Tatsumi sighed again he seemed….tired
"it's different then all that boss… Im not lying but I'll tell you the whole story"
"so what happened?"
The cruise ship
"Incursio…"
Tatsumi felt a pellet of water hit his cheek then another then another.
"what a terrible day for rain…"
he kept his eyes sought on Incursio not daring to take those green orbs off of it.
Tatsumi walked slowly over to the sword almost dreading making it there himself not quite knowing what would happen if he tried to take it.
"look at you once so high and mighty but now you lay there...they say its a living creature in that blade."
"Bulat always warned me… That his Imperial Arms wasn't just a weapon to be absorbed but a living creature...very selective with how its used."
"so then what happened when you got your hands on it?" Najenda asked
Tatsumi gripped the blade in his hands knowing what came next. He closed his eyes as he focused on absorbing the Imperial Arms.
A bright green glow appeared around the sword.
Suddenly his eyes shot open and then he realized his predicament
He was ready to pass out he had absorbed three imperial arms this mission and it was already going for another.
He got flash backs to when he tried to get Mine's Imperial arms and he wasn't use to the sudden urge of power from locking it.
"Oh not this again" Tatsumi said as he was suddenly hit with a huge wave of drowsiness
He dropped the Teigu on the ground as his body followed
"I fell apart on that boat not even knowing what was happening around me."
"Seems like a dangerous position to be in"
Tatsumi hit the ground coughing up a storm blood spewing from his mouth.
He gasped for air.
"no….Dammit I refuse...just...one….more imperial…..arms" Tatsumi said as he reached out for Incursio but his mind became hazy….he couldn't see as much and he realized his nose was bleeding profusely
"its….mine…...mine dammit….give….it…" Blood slowly flowed through his mouth as he spoke he was reaching out for the imperial arms
And then his hand made contact with the sword again and he focused his minds one last time
It was like a trigger going in his brain…
The sword made an explosive sound it was on the verge of shattering to pieces.
He stopped as he suddenly vomited blood on the ground and his chest felt like it was about to implode on him.
"ah...I will take it…"
"take it but be warned of the consequences…" A horrible screeching voice echoed in his mind

"to hell with the consequences…. I need everything I can get for Esdeath...She would be so disappointed if I Showed up to her and I was weak… "
He tried… One last time…

green static was appearing all over Tatsumi showing up for a second before disappearing his chest felt like it had a furnace in the middle of it
"n-no…. No…..AGHAAA" Tatsumi screamed in pain as he held the sword in his hands. His eyes flashed
And then he screamed as he dropped the sword and collapsed in pain.
"there you have all the details...you happy yet?"
"so you ran out of steam…."
"yea….that's about it...it really tore into me to be honest….all that power...but I'm in control"
"are you going to try and take it again?"

Tatsumi's eyes met her one good one

"we hardly have any information on it at first I was happy about your trump card Its proved to be a great asset. But its making you power hungry"

"hey now hold on...I told you that was just a bad dream! I-I cant see into the...future...ok?" Tatsumi honestly seemed scared of that ability.
"oh really. you seemed quite worried about something you saw a bit ago… and then you said this whole vision thing is bull shit.. so what did you see?"
"nothing...ok just leave it.."
"fine by me...but first run me back your original so called night mare"
Tatsumi sighed
"I saw a lot of dead bodies...And an unfamiliar corpse among the rubble"
"that unfamiliar corpse.. what did it look like?"
"it was just a head...on a spike."
"what else?"
"red hair…"
"did she look anything like this?" Najenda said as she showed a picture to Tatsumi
"of course no-…. Ye-yea that's actually exactly her...what the hell..."
"her name Is Chelsea she was set to start working with us very soon… so you saw every member of Night raid dead…"
"To tell you the truth I don't really know what any of this means myself.."
"But the little you do know you should tell me…"
"fine...I heard...Voices...of someone...Someone I didn't want to know I was alive"
"Akame's sister Correct?."
Tatsumi looked away from her not even going for a response
"Looks like I was right on the mark on this one. Kurome was her name...right?"
"don't worry about it...she's doing the empire's dirty work somewhere else… she's not our enemy."
"do you honestly think that's going to stay that way?"
"well if she does become our enemy….I should be the one to finish things…" Tatsumi said with a grim voice… it actually fooled Najenda…
"I don't get you Tatsumi..."

"the way you described your life to me you've been through enough pain to destroy a person, you've seen enough bloodshed to fuel at least three wars, you have suffered so much action it could put a veteran to shame … And yet...You...you laugh like nothing is ever wrong...your a-"
"I'm a smooth talker despite that?"

It was then Tatsumi realized it... his eyes went wide.
"Tatsumi why are you looking at me like that? Are you ok?"
He slowly walked backwards… keeping the same scared face
But Najenda smirked and crossed her arms instead. She had a gut feeling he saw something happen that didn't actually happen
"stay the hell away from me…" Tatsumi said as he turned away and ran
"wait Tatsumi!" Najenda said as she reached her hand out but in the end let him go.
Everywhere Tatsumi went he couldn't escape any of this Najenda just confirmed to him That this was all real and that meant a certain black haired assassin was going to be in his life again… and he couldn't be more terrified to face her it scared him more then his original vision of everyone's death including his own. He had only one solution now… it was a simple one….he just had to die..
The Capital
Oh Sayo I don't know if you can watch over me from where you are… but please lend me your strength.. if you could..
Ieyasu walked the streets of the capital with Seryu and corro at his side they where making there way to the center of the capital
The noble district of the capital always was beautiful in its own way but under all of that Ieyasu could always see the darkness that lied beneath it…. But it did disgust him but he always kept his temper under control
"look at all these big houses! I've never seen so much royalty in my life!"
"Not as much petty thievery here to take care of Seryu"
"More like grand heists for us to foil!"
"that does sound fun"
"capt-… Ieyasu… do you really think will hunt down night Raid with this new unit?" Seryu asked
"to be honest… no… I think the war would be over before then…"
"well… No matter what its just a matter of time before things come to a head."
"and when that happens Just please have my back...alright?"
"You Got it Ieyasu! Me and Corro will always be by your side!"
"Thank you...Seryu"
"Now lets go meet our new teammates!"
"sounds good Seryu"
Honestly The walk to the room in the imperial Palace was not an easy one Ieyasu was nervous unlike his fellow agent of justice who has a nice bright innocent yet naive smile on her.
He never really showed him self in the empire to other people Seryu was the only one to ever see the real him but now...well that would all change soon enough
And it would change now at the door where all the rest of there teammates where surly already getting to know each other.
"well...Here we go...Are you ready Captain?"
Ieyasu smirked
"Im starting to think your calling me captain on purpose"
"its a force of habit sir...but I can call you Ieyasu if you would prefer.."
"I would like that Seryu…"
Seryu went to open the door.
"Wait!" Ieyasu Grabbed Seryu's hand
Both she she and Coro looked over at him
"Ieyasu?"
"I...i… I...I'm glad your with me for this...Seryu.. I don't think I could have done this alone…"
She gave a warm smile still holding her Teigu in her arms
"I'll always be there to protect you captain.."

"now quit Stalling and lets get this door open to meet our future comrades"

But when the door finally opened all that stared back at them was a freakishly huge man… With a white mask on his face..
Ieyasu's first thought was that he had wandered into the wrong room perhaps this one was a little more… Torturous?
He was Staring at the man with a stunned/shocked face never really finding the courage to say a single word.
"Hello Future teammate!" Seryu said with a sweet voice and waving her delicate hands
The man just sat there staring at them.
"oh he must be a little shy" Seryu said
Ieyasu Looked at Seryu like she was crazy.. even when a man looked like he could kill you instantly with his gaze alone she would still put a smile on her face.
"oh...yes… its actually exactly that believe it or not…" The man said in a hushed tone
"well Then where are my manners.. my name is Seryu" she said pointing to herself
"and This is Coro!" she said holding out her dog like Imperial Arms
"and that guy right next to me is a fellow agent of Justice! His Name is Ieyasu and He Casts Fire So you might want to be wary of him!"
"seryu!?" Ieyasu said a little annoyed that Seryu started the greeting by warning a fellow teammate to be wary of him
"oh sorry… he's great once you get to know him though!" she said
"Fire you..say?"
"yea I could burn down houses with the flick of my fingers" Ieyasu said
"… It seems we have something in common then… My name is Bols… Please take a seat."
Seryu made a polite smile before walking over to the table and sitting down at the seat adjacent to him Ieyasu followed her example and sat down right next to her.
"so you also use fire as a weapon?"
"t-thats right I was transferred here from the Incineration Squad." Bols said
So I guess he really is as murderous as he looks… The Incineration squad… I should have known...only the absolute worst and most disgusting people come from there Burning people alive is something I haven't had to do yet… but those bastards do it for a living and whats worst is that they find enjoyment from it...or so I've heard Ieyasu said in his head
"well my Imperial Arms gives the user colossal abilities of fire when its on them but to be honest I'm still very new with using it.." Ieyasu said

Ieyasu pulled into his jacket pocket to show a golden Pocket watch
"as long as this thing is on my body its explosions with the flick of my fingers."
"you seem to be in your youth I'm sure you'll wield it with great power."
"Thanks.." He said putting the thing back
"Ieyasu has Wielded it with great power just wait till you see him in combat!" Seryu said cheerfully

And then the door got kicked open again and suddenly a blue haired kid with a bag full of fish came in. He seemed…. Different…
"hello fellow Teammates!" he said with a wave.
Ieyasu, Coro, Seryu and Bols turned to look at the abrupt entrance
The boy stopped as if realizing that his entrance was not the most appropriate.
"um...I brought fresh fish…" he said holding out a bag full of the seemingly still alive fish.
How did someone like this make it in? Judging by the outfit and the fish He must be from the imperial navy… he doesn't look all to serious I don't have a lot of faith with this one. Ieyasu thought to himself
"uh… welco-" Ieyasu started to speak
"welcome new Teammate! That Fish sure does Look Delicious And im Sure My imperial Arms would love to have some my name is Seryu its wonderful to meet you" she said holding out her hand
No way… No way this girl was this nice to someone who kicked open the door with a bag full of fish… There was just no chance in hell Goddam it Seryu what are you doing to me..
"Thank you Im sure Your Imperial Arms could eat some no problem!"
The next to come in was a short girl with short black hair she had a red katana to her side and her arms behind her back she looked shy but cute in her own way.
no...This Time Ieyasu wouldn't get one upped by Seryu this time.. he was going to have a talk with this girl and welcome her to the team
The girl went and sat down in a free chair it was slightly away from the group she wasn't really up for conversation it seemed but Ieyasu Didn't care.. He got up and approached her.
"hey my name is Ieyasu and your name i-"
She suddenly got extremely defensive about her cookies she had placed on the table.
"its Kurome and I would literally kill for these cookies so back off."
A comical sweat drop beaded off Ieyasu's head as he looked very intimidated at the present moment
"oh...Ok" he said as he sat down and just stopped trying
The next to enter weren't much better then that girl.
A man With purple hair he seemed so full of himself when he walked through the door
"hello everyone you have the pleasure of gazing upon the great Dr. Stylish!" he said in a joyful voice
I'm in a team with a bunch of freaks.

The next to enter was someone with white apparel and golden hair
"hello everyone my name is Run and it seems like im the last one to arrive"
"welcome you can sit and chat with us!" Seryu said
"my my Seryu your a vivacious one I could use someone like you to help me in my experiments"
"huh? Oh sure I would love to help people I always did want to treat good soldiers wounds…"
"hmm how about less healing and more...Making them...Stronger.."

Ieyasu was a little concerned that Seryu was so eager to help this Dr on his experiments he seemed...off
"so uh isn't someone gonna come in and tell us what this team is all about?" Wave asked

"same here.. I cant guess why.." Bols said
"well I guess there's perks to being head of the imperial police… I have heard they got us gathered to snuff out Night Raid" Ieyasu said
"Night Raid.. Oh jeez what have I gotten my self into." Wave said hugging his basket of fish
"Im Sure will all do Fine.."
"sure Night Raid wont be any match for me… the whole world wont be soon enough" Ieyasu said with his voice full of confidence
The black haired Assassin smiled to herself before silently Taking a bite of her cookie
Ieyasu took note of her something seemed off about a lot of these people that was for dam sure.
"you got something you wanna say dead eyes?"
Suddenly she stopped...The cookie in her hand...She crushed it in her hand. Her eyes where wide as if she had just seen a ghost..
"That...name….Dead Eyes… Who did you get that from…"
"huh...its just a name."
"No its not… I want to know where or who you got it from or else"
Ieyasu Sighed
"My dumb ass Friend Used to call my other dumb ass friend that name… There are you happy now?"
"what was your friends na-"
"Listen kid I don't have time to answer your questions alright?"
"What are you people doing here!" an angry voice was heard
The group looked at who said those words
The assailant was wearing a mask but had light blue hair and a generals outfit on…
Ieyasu knew who this was
"wha… What are you talking about we where told to meet here!" Wave said getting up angrily and walking over to the figure
"wait Wave that might not be the best ide-" Run tried to warn before the boy was launched halfway across the room
everyone got up into there defensive stances
Seryu and Corro Jumped behind the Masked woman before Seryu's arm was grabbed and she was slammed into the floor almost completely shattering the ground beneath her
"an attack from behind looses all meaning when your bloodlust is so high." The person said as she froze the dog imperial arms in air
This is the one...the one that murdered you Sayo… She Threw Seryu down like she was nothing…what kind of monster could have that much power...
Ieyasu gripped his hand into a fist as flames engulfed his fist making them burn with rage
He was mad... if Esdeath could sense that little bit of killing intent from Seryu then she could definitely sense it from Ieyasu as she slowly looked over to the boy..
"y-you….YOU BITCH!" He said as he charged her
"wait Hold On!" bols yelled out"
The group watched as what was going to happen.
Even if this is some stupid game I wont hold back… Not against her.
Esdeath expected him to charge thus countered by putting up an ice wall what she didn't expect was both his fist and him to start to go through the Ice wall but before it could go completely all the energy from the punch manifested into an explosion.
Corro managed to shield Seryu by making himself bigger in front of her but the others where showered with dust and ash as the aftermath of the explosion really started to set in.
Ieyasu couldn't see anything through the dust.. He didn't honestly know what he expected he just attacked on impulse. He was huffing and puffing.
"Very good.."
He looked up in sudden fear as the now unmasked Esdeath appeared through the smoke.
"but next time try and make it a little less obvious what your going to do." She said before striking him directly in the throat with a chop attack before kicking him in the face he was down on the ground instantly
"Its general esdeath!" Bols said
"Very good you know your generals"
Seryu got that ringing out of her ears before she looked at center of attention
"oh I guess this was all a test then.." She said it was then she heard a cough of blood as she looked at the where the noise came from she saw Ieyasu on the ground as he spit a little bit of blood out of his mouth he then made a vain attempt to get up.
"i-ieyasu!" She said going over to him
"I rarely see someone attack with such rage I can teach you how to control it and make you even stronger." Esdeath said to him on the ground
Ieyasu said nothing as he still made attempts to get up
She held out a hand to the kid.
He looked at that hand with hatred then with...consideration
I need to do this...To survive..Im sorry Sayo...I wont lose my head again…
He took Esdeath's hand and was lifted back up with strength.
"Stay by my side and I'll show you."
Seryu Appeared next to Ieyasu acting as a crutch for him to stay up right. She had Corro Tucked under arm as she leaned in to try and Support Ieyasu better
"I'm sorry about that Miss General Esdeath we wont attack you again please forgive our vain arrogance." Seryu said
"don't worry about it, you succeeded in my little game and destroyed my mask. I see nothing that was done wrong"
excuse me if you don't mind me asking General Esdeath but what is the purpose of this team you've assembled?" Run asked
"oh that.. yes Where are a elite group of Imperial Arms users tasked with destroying night raid where known as the Jeagers."
As soon as as the name Night raid was brought up Ieyasu swear he saw that black haired girl smile to herself for the second time she was trouble Ieyasu knew it for a fact. So far he didn't really have a good impression on his new teammates
"Ooh Fancy name… I like it." The good Doctor said
"sounds kinda of cool...I like it I guess." Wave said getting to his feet
"Now if you'll follow me the prime minister himself has set a dinner party to celebrate our new team."
Esdeath said as she began walking out of the room soon followed by the rest of the team. all except Run who saw Ieyasu and Seryu Staying right where they where left.
"hey Ieyasu Are you going to be alright?" Seryu asked
"yea...I'm sorry I made an ass of myself didn't I.."
"not at all everyone was impressed with that explosion." Seryu said comforting him
"eh? what?"
"Yes it was quite the impressive performance Ieyasu you have quite the talent with that imperial arms"

"shall we get a move on?" He suggested.

Just outside Night Raid Base
"Alrighty Tatsumi! We gotta test those water powers of yours!" Leone called out
Leone Mine And Akame were overseeing Tatsumi use His new powers it didn't go to well last time. The group was around a small lake
"don't vomit blood this time Newbie."

Tatsumi held out his hand and braced himself
"serpent of the abyss!" he yelled
The water erupted into a massive yet contained explosion
Leone and Akame Awed while Mine pretended not to be impressed
The water formed into a massive serpent dragon his dragon wasn't as big as livers but it still was an impressive sight.
"Alright That seems good you can drop it now Tatsumi" Akame said
Tatsumi did just That and dropped his arms as the dragon made of water turned to nothing causing a huge splash of water
"that was pretty good newbie.. you alright?" Mine said noticing his well being
His Nose was bleeding and his chest was burning he was as pale as a ghost

"lets take a break from that Tatsumi alright? Come back in 5 why don't we?… And he's already gone" Leone said noticing that Tatsumi was no longer even near the lake
"hey Akame you going to go out and look for him?...And..She's gone to…" Mine said
