Author has written 6 stories for Harry Potter. Hullo! I'm a 21 year old Student, double-majoring in Phsyics and Creative Writing The Creative writing bit is all the fault of Harry Potter, and fanfiction. I love Werewolf fanfiction, for whatever reason, and can't ever get enough of it. I like time-travel pretty well, but if it reads like five hundred of the other time travel fics I've read, then I'll probably get bored by the second chapter. My biggest pet-peeve is authors going into considerable detail about clothing, over and over again. Related to that, having Hermione wear slutty clothes, without reason for a change from her bookish nature, drives me mad rather quickly as well. I rather like Angst, but, like anything else, it has to be done well. My all-time favorite HPcharacter is Remus. I'll read about any pairing, though I've seldom seen a Harry/Hermione, Harry/Ginny, or Remus/Tonks that was reallygood. For whatever reason, those pairings seem to attract the masses, and the masses seem to like fluff. I don't too much like fluff, unless it's in small doses, or half-buried under misery and hardship. I'll read nearly anything that's suggested to me, though, so if you've got a fic that you really want read, feel free to leave the title... in a review of one of mine, of course. That's a fair trade, now, isn't it? Updates: As of August 19, 2005: New chapters of Strength Unseen are on hold. I realized, partway into chapter twenty, that I'm writing Hermione as though she's twenty, and not sixteen. I'm also writing Ambell at the same age. Unfortunately, I like them as they are. I'm going to be doing a re-write on the currently posted chapters, bringing their ages up to about 22 or 23, depending. I'm also going to have to figure out what in heck they do for the years between thirteen and twenty-two, and how Hermione hides her condition from Remus on the years she's affected. And then I figured, while I'm at it, Heck, why not make the little bugger HBP compliant? So it will be - though that won't change very much of the story line. I'm trying to decide if old Voldie should be dead in it, and which other characters to kill off. Advice is welcome, of course. |
