I am currently wearing the UA High School attire with my backpack on my back as I am walking towards the school just like several other students looking to become hero's as going to a good hero school basically let's you join any hero outfit with no issue.

The same with other careers and what not as UA is basically Harvard and that is why I studied super hard because today is the day of entrance tests as we first have to go through a written test as I am currently heading past the school gates before something catches my attention.

As someone bumps into my back as I hardly budged but I still turned around to see who bumped into me.

Tsuyu Asui, Lvl: 13

Frog Girl

"Sorry." Tsuyu said as I helped her back up to her feet as she is a bit on the short side as I tower over her and I can visibly see that she is a bit shaken and slightly scared of what I might say or do.

"It's fine. I should have paid more attention to my surroundings anyway. So, my name is Zander Shi and its nice to meet you." I said holding out a hand as she hesitated for a moment before shaking it.

"I'm Tsuyu Asui but call me Tsu." Tsuyu said as we walked and talked a bit as she warmed up to me a bit before we all gathered in the gymnasium where everyone took a seat in the stands as I sat next to her as a man stepped onto the stage in the center of the gym where we were all looking.

Hizashi Yamada, Lvl: 110

Present Mic

"Hello ladies and gents! Today your all here to try and become awesome UA students! Now please let me explain how things are about to go down!" Hizashi shouted into the microphone and soon enough everyone figured out how things are going to go down.

First is a series of written tests and then we are being placed in various groups to go to the various testing sites to be put into hero drills where we will be rewarded points on how we do both on the written and the physical tests and ultimately, we need a fifty or higher to enter the school.

So, I am in group F as I am taken to a classroom with several other students as one of the hero teachers hands each of us papers and pencils as we begin taking the timed tests asking questions revolving around hero's, society, advanced mathematics, science and so on as these tests are pretty difficult even though I spent a lot of time studying everything I could just to prepare for this entrance test.

"Damn these tests are brutal." I said as the group I was in was escorted towards a entire section of the city that was evacuated as we are having to fight 'villains' and rescue people.

Now these people are playing the parts of bad guys as they are wearing ski masks and dressed in red shirts while citizens are dressed in blue shirts as we are awarded points on how many villains we stop or how many people we rescue and escort to a safe zone as the test began and turning down a corner, I see my first target as I see a red shirt harassing a citizen.

Granted they both suck at acting but I still play the part as I rush in and make my hands glow with dark energy as I thrust forward and wrap the villain up in physical tendrils of dark energy as I separate them from my hand as the tendrils will stay in place for three minutes max as I go over to the terrible female actor.

"Are you okay ma'am?" I asked her with a smile on my face to try and put her at ease.

"Yes, I'm okay. That bad guy was going to hurt me, but you came and saved me." The woman said.

"Well come on. I'll take you to the safe zone." I said picking up the woman and ran her towards one of the safe zones after moving the tied up bad guy into a building to stay put as I drop the woman off before making my way back into the city.

The tendrils last for three minutes unless I create more in which case the originals fade away as I can only tie up one person at a time as I go on and repeat my actions of tying up villains and rescuing people before the timer goes off and we are all dismissed for the day as I go home and wait for the results.

It was midday as I got the mail from my house as I just waited patiently for the mail of acceptance or rejection as I didn't even grind because of how nervous I am. Now the mail I got was from UA as I go into my master bedroom and see Kyu sleeping on my pillow as I sit on my bed and open the letter.

{From: UA Faculty

This letter addressed to Zander Shi is a letter of acceptance as you have performed skillfully in the written and physical tests as you passed the necessary tests to be granted entrance into the UA Hero Course and you have also been sent a UA tracksuit matching your physical statistics and body numbers that you have sent us in the application for joining.

If you want a hero outfit you will have to send a letter to any hero outfit designer store or private business or make it yourself but otherwise in physical activities, you will wear the tracksuit.

Also listed down below are a series of rules as well as your class schedule}

"Yes!" I shouted with cheer waking up Kyu before my new tracksuit soon came later in the day as I have to go to hero school tomorrow, and I can't wait.

I am wearing a proud smile on my face as I am once again walking towards UA high with a much thinner crowd as I am a first year and right now, I make it to my class as I am in classroom 1-C.

My classmates are the following from various worlds.

Makoto Niijima, Ann Takamaki, Koriand'r (Starfire from DC), Setsuna Tokage, Neito Monoma, Itsuka Kendo, Conner Kent (Superboy from DC), Wallace West (Kid Flash from DC), Tara Markov (Terra from DC), Hitoshi Shinso, and Saiko Intelli

The class is a bit small but that is because we are the extra students that managed to get in as the school didn't expect three hero courses to happen as our teacher is Sneck aka [The Biting Snake Fist] hero.

"Alright students we are the extras and that means that people won't be looking at us first but that doesn't matter because what we will be doing is showing people that we are hero's through and through." Sneck said to all of us.

"Now first thing is first. We are going to assign a class representative to be the face of our class and I know all of you might be strangers so I will decide the class rep and that person will be Saiko Intelli based on her scores in the written exam." Sneck said as nobody had any complaints.

"Thank you, sir." Saiko said politely before the regular class started as we began our studies of hero work as we also had to discuss our quirks and what they can do as Starfire and Superboy where awkward about it since they are aliens and apparently that isn't too out of place here since Superman and Martian Manhunter are here in the world.

"Zander please answer this question." Sneck said as he pointed at a math problem on the white board as I gave the wrong answer sadly before Makoto gave the correct one and soon enough we moved to the gym for P.E. as we begin training with our quirks in groups as it turns out that I was not only paired with Kori but our powers repel each other as she was worried about hurting me but after reassuring her it was okay I began blocking her slow moving star bolts with a wall of dark mist radiating from my hands as each one put a hole in my wall of darkness before my shadows repaired themselves until we had to move on to other insane exercises.

Ultimately today was a regular school day more or less as I am now walking home a bit sore from P.E. before someone walks up to me.

"Zander you're here?" A familiar voice asked as I look to the right and see the person who walked up to me was Tsuyu in her school uniform as well.

"Yup. I made it into the school and I'm glad to see that you did the same." I said with a yawn as using my quirk too much makes me tired apparently since I feel like taking a nap.

"It was close, and I almost didn't get in, but I made it." Tsuyu said with a ribbit like an actual frog as we talked for a bit as we walked, and it turns out that we live on the same street as we depart and I go home where I have a pillow thrown at my face from Kyu.

"What the hell took you so long? And why aren't you grinding skills and levels damn it!?" Kyu asked in anger as I just chuckled since she isn't really angry but more frustrated at the situation.

"Sorry but I was going to school, and I needed information. Now I know I can grind a lot of skills without causing alarm because the school and the world is more dangerous than I originally thought it was." I told her as that information was vital because I wasn't sure about how powerful I could become without raising suspicion even in this death world since the legendary Saitama apparently isn't in this world.

"Ugh. Fine I guess playing things smart and going slow is a good thing. Still, I want to be big and sexy again." Kyu said with a sad sigh.

"Don't worry little love fairy. I'll go grinding right now." I said as I took out the hunie-phone before selling my undead zombie loot before buying a basic spear as I decided to head back into the zombie dungeon.

"Actually, you should head to another dungeon since the zombie one is boring." Kyu said as I look over the various dungeons I could enter before selecting one.

[Wilderness Dungeon]

"Good choice. This dungeon is huge with a variety of enemies and bosses since this is one of the challenge dungeons that gets randomized each time you enter it." Kyu explained as she spawned into this dungeon with me as I begin exploring this labyrinth.

"Finally." I said as I killed a humanoid plant that reminds me of the plant monsters from Dark Souls 1 and I mean the plants not the farmers that cut the plants as this one actually dropped some loot.

I equip the armor as it is basically the fallout 3 and new vegas style armor as it covers my body and stops at my wrists and neckline and fits under my dark cloak as the suit is made out of vines and plants and even covers my feet as I can feel the armor moving and contorting all around me as it doesn't hurt or try to kill me but it feels…Weird like I'm wearing worms but I don't like getting hurt so I keep it on as I also learn the new skill book.

"Okay that isn't bad for when I plant some stuff." I said as I kept moving through this place with spear in hand before I come into a new zone as this zone has people sized stone statues with plants overgrowing on them as some of these come to life and attack me as I fight back with my [Void Arrow] spell and I managed to kill them but they drop nothing and I am starting to think that I need to raise my luck somehow to get more drops as I begin moving through this massive forest.

"Oh crap." Kyu said with worry.

"Kyu what does that message mean?" I asked with worry.

"It means that a gamer has gone rogue and is looking to kill you." Kyu said before someone materializes in front of me as she is thick with muscles making her look like a Viking as she is also wearing a basic loin cloth over her crotch and breasts as she is also wearing a paper bag with red glowing eyes over her head and in her hands is a claymore sword with a serrated blade.

Mimi Koko, Lvl: 20

Cannibal Cook

"Well, it looks like I found my next meal." Mimi said before she rushed me before I hit her with a series of [Void Arrows] but she powers through the attacks and swipes at me with the sword and luckily my armor protects me and repairs itself as I attack with my spear.

My iron spear can hardly block the sword strikes as this woman is equal parts strong and fast before I kick her back to gain some space as I hit her with another series of [Void Arrows] as she evades these as I need to think of something new, I can do…I got it.

I open my hand and charge mana into my hand as I focus on creating energy.

"You mages are all the same. No power only magic." Mimi said as she rushed me before I thrusted my hand forward and sent a concentrated beam of mana at Mimi as she didn't dodge this one and it cut right through her chest killing her.

[Void Beam, [Active] Lvl: 1 (33%)

Through effort and mana control you have created the spell [Void Beam] as you generate void energy in your hand and concentrate it into a fast-moving beam of mana to attack your foes!

I feel a bit bad, but she was going to kill me and eat me according to her title as I look over her corpse but decide not to take any of her stuff.

I also ignored the level up screens I saw as I took a deep breath and rested for a minute.

"Not bad dude. That was pretty cool just creating a concentrated beam of void energy like that." Kyu said as I was mentally exhausted for a moment.

"Thanks. I just wish it would have been created under better circumstances. Killing people isn't something a hero should do." I told her as she agreed before we began moving through the forest once again.

"Kyu I've killed a lot of enemies, but I haven't advanced my class so how do I do that?" I asked Kyu as she thought about it for a moment.

"Well, you're fighting like a warrior instead of a mage so in order to advance your class not only do you have to level up but you also have to practice with your class set up and rules." Kyu said as I put my spear away after killing another statue.

"Okay so I just need to keep using magic. Just like in final fantasy four with the job system." I said as I began experimenting with my mana as focus and create a ball of mana in my hands as I can feel the void energy within it before I absorb it back into my body. "How to use my mana?" I asked as I thought about the dungeon and the invader I just had to kill as I think I need more defensive power.

So, I breath in and out for a bit as I stretch my mana out and over my entire body and make it act as though it is a second layer of skin as I feel the mana slowly retreat back into my body, but I stop it halfway through and enhance it a bit to make it stay where it is as I focus as hard as I could until I heard a ding noise.

I just created a new skill.

[Void Blood, [Active] Lvl: 1 (3%)

The power of the void is limitless and can do anything as you are pumping the void through your blood to strengthen your body, but it comes with a cost!

Increases STR, CON and DEX by 33%

Cost: Slowly drains HP during use!]

"I feel stronger but at the cost of my health." I said as I could feel my hit points draining even though I just enhanced my body as I then dismissed the spell before I decided to return home as the dungeon is fun, but my body is sore from all the work I put into this place as I soon crash on my bed as soon as I come back to the real world.

"Alright kids let's talk about magic. Now magic is controversial as a lot of people would rather believe that only quirks are reality, but I can sit here and say that magic is one hundred percent reality. How else can a person explain the crazy and bizarre monsters that hero's have to get rid of as they all can't simply be explained as mutations or science gone wrong." Sneck said as he went on a bit of a rank as some of the students clearly didn't believe him, but I knew better.

Soon enough lunch time rolled around as I sat at a large table with my lunch solo style before some people sit with me and talk with me as these people are Tsuyu, Conner, Kori and Ann as Kori looks like her Teen Titan cartoon variant and in person it is beautiful.

"So, you actually believe that magic is real Zander?" Ann asked me as the subject was a hot topic today throughout the entire school.

"Yup and I can even use it." I said told them.

"No way. That darkness of yours is awesome but you can't call it magic." Conner said with mild disbelief.

"Coming from the clone of a guy who can rival All Might." I said back to him as he shrugged a bit.

"Alright that's fair I guess." Conner said back as I smirked a bit at that.

"I believe that magic is a real thing. I have seen many magical things on my journey to earth." Kori said as my smirk grew wider.

"Thank you, Kori." I told her as she smiled back.

"Let's change the subject please. Talking about class work is making my head spin." Ann said a bit down at the school subject in conversation.

"I agree." Tsuyu said.

"Alright no more school talk and instead let's talk about the new desert shop that opened up nearby." Ann said with cheer as the girl loves her sweets and sugar that doesn't seem to affect her one bit.

The conversation just went on spiraling in circles like that while we ate the five-star food they had to offer before lunch ended and we all ended up going back to our classes until the school day had finally come to an end after we preformed more exercises with our quirks.

"Zander you made it." Ann said happily as I came to the sweets shop, she was talking about earlier as the others seemed to have other things they needed to do today.

"Yeah, I figured I might as well try it since you apparently love the place." I told her as the place specializes in desert foods as we sit at a table as Ann ordered a crape while I did the same as hers was strawberry while mine is blueberry as I started eating this thing and discover that it tastes divine like I am eating a slice of heaven.

"Whoa. This crape is insane." I said as I started scarfing the thing down.

"I told you it was good. This place also has ice cream floats, sundaes, home made ice cream, and other goodies too." Ann said before ordering two ice cream floats for us as we ate some more before I paid the bill with the cash I earned from the dungeons as Ann, and I began walking around the city a bit to try and work off our meal.

"That food was awesome." I said still licking my lips as I can never go back to store bought ice cream.

"I know right. The place just opened but it's already crazy popular and awesome." Ann said with cheer as she is a bit hyper, but it isn't too bad or anything.

"So, Ann I have to ask. Why do you want to be a hero?" I asked her which took her off guard a little bit as we walked.

"Well, there is too much injustice in this world. My friend Shiho was a victim of a sick man before he was brough to justice and it turns out that he had dozens of victims that nobody knew about, and he even tried to make me into one of his victims too…After that I swore, I would change the hearts of the evil and corrupt members of society and the best way to do that in my mind is to be a hero." Ann said seriously as I listened to her.

"Well Ann. I think you'll make a great hero, and everyone loves a fire quirk since it is always so cool looking, so you'll be super popular in no time and be able to put fear into evil people's hearts." I told her which made her blush a bit.

"Well, you're certainly a sweet talker. So, thanks for saying that Zander I really appreciate it." Ann said before I worked up the courage and decided to ask a important question.

"Alright Ann it has been cool hanging out with you so far and I would love to do it again so do you want to exchange numbers so we can keep in contact with each other?" I asked her as we stopped.

"Sure…I mean yeah no problem." Ann quickly said with a large blush on her face which made me think that she might actually like me as I take out my hunie-phone and we exchange numbers before I head home for the day.

"Well look at you getting a hot girl's number. I'm so proud of you." Kyu said making me chuckle a bit.

"Ann is really cool in real life, and she is a sweet girl even if she is a bit slow on the uptake sometimes, so I want us to get closer. Is that so wrong?" I asked her sarcastically as Ann really is waifu material and Kyu knows it.

"No and if I where in your shoes I would have done the same thing. Anyway, are you planning on hitting the dungeon again or are you going to be boring and just sleep and shit?" Kyu asked as I yawned a bit.

"I'll just go to sleep for now. No point in pushing myself so hard even if I could gain another extra level or two." I told her before I went to sleep in my bedroom.
