The reason for this mass discontinuation (if anyone wonders) can be summarized as 1.) a dramatic difference in writing style between the time of writing the story and now and 2.) a general lack of interest for the plot or genre. I know this can be incredibly frustrating for new readers who find a story, read it, get hooked on it... then see that it hasn't updated in years. I've been there myself several times, and I know how much it genuinely sucks. But it would be painful for me to go back and write conclusions for them all - especially since some of them were still early in their plots - and no one wants to read a story that had it's ending completely rushed through just for the sake of completion. I've been there, too. Trust me, it's awful.

That said, here's what IS on my plate:

Land of Peril: FtSotW/TM/FYD/FA rewrite [hiatus]
A long time ago, I wrote a series of Zelda fics. I thought they were brilliant and wonderful and incredible and I made all my friends read them. I was also in the ninth grade. A while back I started rewriting them to be less silly (read: stupid) and OC-centric. I worked on it pretty diligently for a while, but at this point I'm pretty sure even the rewrite needs a rewrite. It'll be a long time coming, if it ever comes at all.

Y'ello, I am Spoonz, though there are those would call me Ed or Suu. Honestly, though, as long as you're consistent about it, I'll probably respond to any name you can think of. I'm female and a resident of the EST timezone as well as a graphic design student about to begin my senior year of college as of Summer 2012. My most significant skills are probably digital illustration and design, but I've always really loved writing, even as I've had less and less time for it. I hold accounts on both DeviantArt and GaiaOnline under the names Spoonzmeister and Suudonym respectively. In the past, I was also the writer and artist for the webcomic The Most Bizarre Four Years of Your Life, but that died out when my partner lost interest. I also toy with the concept of Zelda: Minish Cap speedruns on under the username Suudonym.

I've been interested in writing from early childhood, and I wrote a lot of fanfiction through middle school and possibly even earlier; I have no distinct recollection and the files themselves are likely permanently lost. My early stories, namely the entirety of the Land of Peril series, are a fairly good representation of my initial foray into the world of publicly posted fanfiction: borderline self-insert Mary Sue characters involved in plots so dependent on OCs that by the last story in the series there isn't a single mention of Link in the entire first nine chapters. At the time I thought it was the single most brilliantly shining star on the entire website. Have a look at the summary for For the Sake of the World in my story box below. Wasn't I just precocious.

Fortunately I came to realize just how bad it was and stopped working on it. However, I continue to see some potential in its plot, which is why I still haven't completely abandoned the Land of Peril rewrite. I don't know if it will ever really be finished, but I have ambitions to do so - I intend to do it well, stripping away all the random, stupid humor and pop culture references and returning the focus of the story to Link as the main character. I don't know if I can accomplish it, but that's okay since no one's looking forward to it.

In terms of subject matter, I will read anything I'm interested in as long as it's written well. For writing on my own part, I only consider Zelda and Golden Sun. I'm much more liable to come up with ideas for Golden Sun, but they're about equal in terms of how likely I am to write a story for either.

I wrote this for a contest on DeviantArt years and years ago. It was the only fanfiction entry and somehow managed to win even amongst a slew of great fanart. I consider it amongst my best fanwork.

Sort of different from any of my other writing, but it's the most recent and strongest example of my writing and I'm rather pleased with it.

Final Adventure
Call me crazy, but I still kind of like this piece of crap, and its existence is one of the greatest forces motivating me to hang on to Land of Peril. In order to understand it, though, you'd also have to read For the Sake of the World, Face Your Demons, and the story Trust Me by someone who changed her account name so many times I don't even know who wrote it anymore. So, not really something I'd subject anyone to except maybe as a drinking game (take a shot every time Link takes a backseat to an OC).
