Appearance:

[1st Specimen: Gojira]

A colossal amphibious archosaurian resembling the archetypical sea dragon of legend, and his body plan being a hybrid form possessing a multitude of different reptilian characteristics along with more primitive tetrapod-like traits. Gojira's small head and face are shaped narrowly angular like the Mosasaurus but possessing tyrannosaur-like jaws with the teeth resembling gigantic railroad spikes, and their arrangement is more akin to the snaggle-toothed Nile crocodiles with the mouth being lipless. His mouth sports double rows of teeth, a fleshy crocodile-like palate that conceals five tubes, which expel his atomic breath, and a narrow, long tongue. Most of his teeth protrude prominently from his upper jaws while several of them jut out from his lower jaw. His snout possesses bumpy nasal plates. His nostrils are separate and on opposite sides of the snout. He has small forward-facing, slit eyes in sunken sockets and are red-orange in coloration like lava. They also have thick, reinforced eyelids, and a nictitating membrane, which is ghostly white in appearance, that covers over them when submerged or when he is about to attack. He has short bony, horn-like crests over his scaly, ridged brows. His ears are slits on the top of his skull. His overall head shape is streamlined and somewhat of a cross between an arrowhead, Mosasaurus, and Gorgosaurus. He still has a broad, extremely muscular neck, albeit slightly elongated, and armor-plated gills like his Monsterverse counterpart, though the latter is more pronounced with larger fin-like frilly structures than Monsterverse Godzilla's own gills. Its underside is partially covered with a series of overlapping, spiky, dewlap-like plates. As his gills flare up whenever he is angered or threatened, the skin of his neck also extends outward like a small hood, which gives the neck a vaguely cobra-like appearance in its threat display. A pair of smaller "horns" grow from the end of his skull, which is the first in a series of spikes running down along his neck. Similar spikes are found on his lower jaw, his shoulders, and thighs.

Like his Monsterverse counterpart, his arms are long and muscular, but they are more massive and beefier. He still has large, webbed alligator-like hands, which each bear three large brown claws, with the exception of the dewclaw-like thumbs. The forearms have small wing-like fin structures that start from his wrist to his elbows, making his front limbs look more like flippers that enable him to maneuver through the water more efficiently and each possesses a pair of dagger-like bony spurs for close combat. Gojira, however, greatly deviates away from his Monsterverse counterpart as his hind limbs are slightly shorter and generally resemble more of a dinosaurian theropod attached to small, but muscular hips and large thighs, which still support a bipedal posture. The feet are partially webbed and bird or theropod-like in nature with long phalanges and sharp claws. The shoulders and the chest are larger and wider, packed with gigantic muscles attached to these regions to support the equally massive forearms. There are large scaly, keeled patterns and spikes on the chest. The dorsal plates are large and long; they are thick at the base as they gradually flatten into almost like a blade at the end. Each of them is curved and pointed backward like shark fins whilst adorned with prominent, exotic-looking spike-like serrations. The base of the plates is partially covered in foldable fleshy, sail-like skin that supports muscular mobile joints underneath the dorsal fins. Gojira has three rows of them with the central row being the largest in size and most extravagant in ornamental profile, sporting the most prominent serrations, and therefore, strongly resembling the maple-shaped dorsal plates of previous incarnations. In contrast, the two smaller rows are modest in size, more blade-like, and have a jagged edge to them. They are surrounded by large spike-like scutes, which are actually elongated versions and continuations of the spiky scutes coming from his neck. The two rows of dorsal plates stop abruptly before the hips. The central dorsal plates gradually decrease in size. They are flanked by two side rows of dorsal sail-like fins, which are comprised of elongated neural spines, that dominate the hips and upper half of the tail. The tail segments become thinner and more angular as the lower half of the appendage progresses. The singular row of Gojira's dorsal plates gradually transforms into large crocodile-like flukes at the lower portion of the appendage whilst the sail-like structures gradually recede into smaller spikes. The ending tip of the tail becomes adorned with long thagomizer spikes and a bony blade-like stinger at the very end.

The skin, like his Monsterverse counterpart, is more reptilian than previous Toho incarnations, with the exception of Singular Point's Godzilla. His scales are a visual mixture of crocodilian, shark, and serpentine scales as they are serrated and keeled with a rugged texture. With patches of large armored segments present on his neck, back, tail, thighs, shoulders, and arms, the scute plates are jagged with spike-like protrusions curving towards the back. Most of his scales and scutes are marine blue and dark cobalt, the undersides being silvery-white, and the armored gills, the forearm fins, and the webbing between digits being greenish-blue. The dorsal plates are dark gray with azure edges and skin webbing between the spines and the mobile joints also being azure as well. His dorsal sail structures are emerald green.

[2nd Specimen: Godzilla, or Gojira II]

Looking greatly similar to his predecessor, or more accurately, to his older brother, Godzilla looks like a bigger version of the first Godzillasaurus specimen. However, there are key physical and visual characteristics that markedly differentiate him as an individual from his deceased brother.

First, he's not as physically deformed as the first Godzillasaurus as his limb proportions are more stabilized and his body doesn't sport all kinds of abnormalities such as extra teeth, tail appendages, and fins growing in places where they shouldn't, asymmetrically distorted and mangled limbs, and a scarred, disfigured face. Still, he shares many traits with his predecessor such as the keloid scars, though minor and less noticeable, the extravagant fin-like neck frills, albeit slightly smaller; the armored gills, the small 'horns' growing from the back of his head, the extra rows of teeth in his jaws, the large brawny arms, webbed alligator-like hands and claws, the small wing-like fin structures on his forearms, the two pairs of tusks from the jaw mandibles, and the dorsal plate structures. Secondly, however, there are other physical characteristics and visual differences that make him stand out on his own, starting with his more dinosaurian appearance and posture. His armored thighs, theropod-like hind limbs, and bird-like feet are reportedly much larger and longer than his forearms with more musculature to them like Tyrannosaurus rex to help better support a more horizontally-aligned bipedal posture, which notably resembles more of the early 21st century depictions of Spinosaurus. Third, his head is somewhat smaller in proportion, though it is still huge and possesses powerful carnivorous, bone-crushing jaws, and he has a longer neck that has a more noticeable curvature supporting it. His head and jaws resemble more of the deeper, heavyset profile of Tyrannosaurus rex than the first specimen, which resembled more of the slender Gorgosaurus. Fourth, his chest is stronger and stockier than his predecessor and supported by a larger back and torso. Fifth, he has five rows of teeth with the three rows lining his main jaws being larger and longer while he has a second pair of the smaller inner jaws that sport the other last two rows of teeth. The maxillary fangs have been enlarged whilst his lower canine fangs are also equally long as them, which gives Godzilla a vaguely sabertoothed appearance with a deadly underbite. Sixth, his win-like fins on his forearms are smaller, and instead, two larger rows of sharp bony, blade-like spurs dominate most of his arms. Seventh, his head is adorned with larger bony crests above his eyes, and the nasal portion of his jaws is lined with horns that are made of extremely dense bones and keratin. And finally, he has larger three rows of maple-shaped dorsal plates surrounded by two side rows of dark emerald shark-like dorsal fins accompanied by longer spikes and more armored osteoderm plates. The three central rows of dorsal plates continue down the long massive tail appendage while the two rows of shark-like fins become the sharper thagomizer spines lining the sides of the tail whilst the tip of the tail ends in a small bony stinger. The sail-like dorsal fins are absent in this second specimen. Other minor differences include eye color. Whereas Gojira's eyes had lava red-orange iris with a yellowish slit pupil and jet black sclera, Godzilla's were greenish-yellow irises with a bluish slit pupil and golden-orange sclera. Regardless, like his predecessor, his entire eyes glow an iridescent azure blue when he's about to use his Atomic Breath.

All of these traits, the other fact that he has a healthier and a more robust physique, and also that he has a more dinosaurian bipedal posture point to this Godzilla being more adapted to terrestrial life. His mutated reptilian physiology has further evolved for a land-based style of combat, and more power absorption, maintenance, and better tolerance towards the radioactive, mutagenic properties of nuclear energy than his more aquatic brother for reasons not yet fully understood.

Intro:

The sea conceals a greater multitude of the natural world's darkest secrets from the ever-growing scientific curiosity of mankind within the absolute darkness of the abyss where only a few dared to imagine, let alone enter. A sanctuary for ancient relics of a bygone prehistoric era. Some of these relict entities are not only titanic in size but also draconic by their very nature; horrifying to behold in their nightmarish glory of terror beyond comprehension. Cultures around the world worship in fear or outright demonize these "dragons" as malevolent harbingers of the apocalypse and destructive entities of unimaginable calamity. They are given many infamous names...Leviathan, Jormungandr, Apep, Lotan, Coi Coi-Vilu, and many more as they all center around an abyssal dragon of great size and unspeakable power to tear the entire world asunder. For the people of the Ogasawara Islands, particularly, of Odo Island, the beast is not just confined to the realm of myth and legend but very much real as an actual living creature like the humpback whales they occasionally encounter. An ever-present threat that stalks them from below the water's surface whenever they venture out to their fishing grounds and casts an ominous shadow over the island like a dark storm of biblical proportions. A "storm", of which the islanders pray to the indigenous Shinto gods on a daily basis, that the rest of the world does not find out the hard way. They have a name for this demon of the abyss and they called it...Gojira, or "Koshira" in their native tongue. It would later be anglicized as Godzilla by the West for the whole world to refer to the monster as such after his historical reawakening rocked the entire world and brought about the Third Golden Age of Monsters.

History:

Gojira

March 1st of 1954. The United States military conducted Operation Castle at the Bikini Atoll, Marshall Islands in the Pacific, in which, the main objective of the operation was to test the destructive capabilities of thermonuclear weapons. Castle Bravo was one of those many thermonuclear bomb tests and the resulting radioactive contamination severely impacted a Japanese tuna fishing boat, which happened to be in the zone of the fallout, and its 23 crewmen. The irradiation of the Lucky Dragon 5 resulted in an international incident and reignited Japanese concerns about careless and haphazard uses of nuclear weaponry since the Japanese suffered adversely from the atomic destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki nine years prior when World War II was reaching its conclusion. The fallout spread traces of radioactive material as far as Australia, India, and Japan, and even the United States and Europe. Though organized as a secret test, Castle Bravo quickly became an international incident, prompting calls for a ban on atmospheric testing of thermonuclear devices.

But nobody could have predicted that Operation Castle that day would inadvertently disturb something else from its abyssal slumber deep beneath the Pacific Ocean. Something incredibly prehistoric, much bigger, and far more dangerous than any shark or whale.

It was months later that on October 27th of 1954, the Japanese freighter, Eiko-Maru was lost at sea amidst the Ogasawara Islands. The authorities in charge of the following investigation only had the fragmented reports that they received from the ill-fated freighter to go by. A mysterious light suddenly appeared right in front of the ship from beneath the waves, which uncannily resulted in the fishing vessel bursting into flames and killing everyone aboard before sinking to its watery grave. The Bingo-Maru, which was sent to investigate the area of Eiko-Maru's untimely disappearance, suffered the same fate as it was vaporized in the same manner as its predecessor. This time, there were survivors that lived to tell the horror of what happened out there. Several more incidents of fishing vessels turning up missing or as shipwrecked remains would be recorded in the proximity of Odo Island, where the natives, including one of the survivors, witnessed them all with dreadful anxiety.

Reporters, including that of American journalist, Steve Martin, who worked as a foreign correspondent for United World News, had descended upon the island with the hopes of finding any leads pointing to the culprit of the sinking of several fishing vessels and now including the recent destruction of an American patrol boat from Naval Base Guam that was conducting a patrol of the area. Odo Island's residents said the culprit to be the powerful water deity or kami, which is the term for a god or spirit in Shinto religion, known as Ryūjin, who is a sea-dwelling dragon said to be the Dragon King, sea god, and master of serpents that is responsible for the ocean's tides. Sadly, however, the nuclear bomb testings earlier that year had adversely disrupted the very underwater kingdom that he worked so hard to protect. This, in turn, transformed the dragon god into a terrifying monster of unforgiving fury, hellbent on exacting his wrathful vengeance upon mankind to punish them for their evil criminal acts of unleashing demonic corruption onto his domain. This, and the testimonies of the survivors, when corroborated together, all lead to an entity that was entirely unknown to science. Only the lack of any sighting of the creature put the viability of the possibility into question. However, that changed when on that fateful stormy night, a mysterious saurian, towering high above everything present, emerged from the wave-churned sea. By the time the beast finished its brief rampage through the village and returned to the sea before the next day arrived, seventeen homes, nine people, and twenty of the village's cattle had been lost.

As the eyewitness testimonies of the surviving Odo Island's residents, the few remaining survivors of the shipwrecks, and the reporters in the halls of the Diet Building prompted a serious international investigation, Japanese paleontologist, Kyohei Yamane, and American marine zoologist, Arthur Kirkpatrick, and his Australian assistant, Helen Fisher, would be sent to the island to analyze the sightings and rumors. What they discovered on Odo Island amazed and shocked them to their very being. The Ryūjin was indeed a living, breathing creature, and their own close encounter with the Dragon King when the reptilian titan reared its head and neck over the mountainside only served to destroy all doubts about the gigantic reptile no longer just a fantastical mythical dragon, but a very real mega-sized organism that was clearly prehistoric in nature. There wasn't any animal on Earth, alive or extinct, that came remotely close to this monster, but it was more like a massive living fossil that originated during the Mesozoic Era, a significant time period in the history of life when Earth was dominated by dinosaurs. The creature is a sea dragon and lives deep within the ocean just like in the myths. Though it did have a vaguely serpentine body, its frontal limbs were like that of a man, a gorilla, or even a grizzly bear as said by one of the American survivors of the shipwrecked American patrol boat; thus, the specimen was nicknamed "Gojira", which was a portmanteau of Japanese words for "gorilla" and "whale" and also based from the local Odo folk legend of the monster as it was named "Koshira" or "Ancient Whale" in the Odo language.

Thanks to the preliminary tests done on the irradiated trilobite, the carcass of a frogfish-like species of coelacanth that briefly terrorized the expedition, which mutated into its monstrous size of a dog, and soil samples found within Gojira's crater-sized footprints, it turned out that Gojira was residing close enough to the Bikini Atoll, where it became the epicenter of Castle Bravo. The kinetic shockwave of the nuclear fallout severely damaged the beast even when it somehow managed to survive through the ordeal. However, his body had changed for the worse afterward. The intense radiation burns left keloid scars on his otherwise pristine scales. His dorsal sail structures are badly tattered and deformed to the point some of them look more like morbid porcupine quills. His tail sprouted deformed finned appendages and an extra smaller tail to boot. His left hand grew another thumb on the other side and two extra fingers from one of his preexisting digits, which made for a painful, crooked sight. The mutation of his right hand and arm, however, was something else. Not only was it disproportionately enlarged, but it was so heavily scarred and mutated with spikes popping out from the knuckles and the wrist, which made the appendage more like a ghastly, mangled limb with the fingers looking rather skeletal and armed with long, bloodied scythe-like claws with only partial remnants of the fleshy muscle and webbing to keep them anchored to each other and to the hand. The only positive growth was the fin on his arm growing abnormally large, but even that was marred with tattered holes, which makes it more asymmetrically twisted compared to its left counterpart. The worst of it was his face and snout. The right side of his face looks almost okay, except the back end of his jaws are sprouting claw-like mandibles, and he now had three smaller eyes crowding around his main right eye. The left side of his face, on the other hand, was a complete nightmare as the skin and some of the flesh around his eye and upper portions of his snout had melted off and had been cauterized with the raw muscles being burnt whilst having signs of attempted regeneration taking place with the scales looking rather grossly charcoal-like in their appearance. The snout has some small pus-like, cancerous tumors on it. His lower jaw, in general, has grown an extra pair of disjointed jaws complete with their own set of teeth. Speaking of teeth, the mouth has extra rows of teeth sprouting and crowding the pre-existing rows and in places where they shouldn't be like growing from the chin. More troubling are the massive scars that line across his neck and back, and the vein-like scarring on his chest that seemed to glow an ominous purplish-red haze to them. Gojira was emitting scorching toxic fumes from every exhalation of his breathing and the massive scars along his back.

It was clear that Gojira was suffering immensely from the intense physical and psychological damages inflicted by his own unstable body fighting itself as it kept constantly regenerating, mutating, building up, and then breaking down; rinse and repeat at an alarming rate in a sickeningly vicious unending cycle. It was frankly a miracle that Gojira's bodily form had not destabilized completely, but what was also clear was that he was emitting extremely dangerous radiation levels via an invisible atomic aura. Wherever the beast would go, only unmitigated annihilation and ruin would follow. "Ryujin" (Dragon King) had become corrupted into a malevolent living mountain of death and destruction. In light of this, the Japanese government decided to declare war on Gojira before he could potentially bring about untold devastation to the main island of Honshu despite explicit warnings from Yamane, Kirkpatrick, and other scientists about the futility of such war efforts.

The Japanese and American militaries hastily established a joint coalition to defend the Japanese islands from Gojira; a far cry from their antagonistic relations during the Pacific theater of World War II. Both of their Naval and Airforce divisions tried to destroy the ancient reptile where he was last reported to be resting in the Izu-Ogasawara Trench by using depth charge bombs. Though assumed to be killed off when they couldn't find his corpse, their efforts would later be proven to be all for naught. Their premeditated attacks had only infuriated Gojira and worsened his unquenchable agony, furthering his descent into a state of unadulterated psychotic rage. Vengeance had now fully consumed him as he set his hate-filled, fiery eyes upon Japan, setting him on the warpath to annihilate humanity once and for all.

November 3, 1954. Provoked by consistent military efforts to kill him, Gojira swam and rose up from the watery surface of Tokyo Bay as he wasted little time in making his intentions for mankind clear by stomping into the harbor and wreaking havoc on Tokyo's Shinagawa Ward. The recently christened Japanese Self Defense Force and their weaponry proved to be ineffective in deterring the irradiated sea dragon. Three hundred citizens perished, including the hapless passengers aboard the train that was caught and later dropped to its ill-fated destruction below from Gojira's jaws. After an unharmed Gojira returned to rest underneath Tokyo Bay, Japan had finally recognized the grave existential threat the sea monster posed to her people with the nation once again plunging into a state of war. Tokyo was under martial law as the JSDF and the US Army constructed an imposing blockade of 80-meter electric towers alongside the metropolis' coast to send a course of 90,000 volts into Gojira's body, should he return to finish what he started.

And that's what Gojira exactly did when he made his second landfall, rising out from Tokyo Bay. The electrical blockade only proved to further provoke him into frenzied aggression due to all the acrid pain from the scars reopened by the intense voltage as he viciously tore the towers down. None of the conventional weaponry to kill it was successful, and in turn, the beast utterly obliterated all and everything else that had been built to put a stop to his bloodlust. Gojira lumbered into the heart of Tokyo and left behind a burning trail of radioactive ruin and violence in his wake that transformed the entire city into a sea of fire. Thunderous trumpet-like bellows and guttural crocodile-like roars of unfathomable sadness and infernal wrath were let loose from his disfigured jaws and mouth for the whole world to hear as the vengeful sea dragon damned them all to hell. Japan would never know peace but only terror, defeat, and devastation from that apocalyptic night. The international community was just as rattled, if not, even more so after news and images of Gojira's rampage unto Tokyo got out to the rest of the world. Then came the other blood-chilling news.

Not long after his second night-raid on Tokyo, Gojira had engaged a US naval fleet regrouping not far from the coast of Okinawa and utterly annihilated them. And just like with Tokyo, Gojira razed the city of Okinawa to the ground and completely incinerated the US' Kadena Air Base into radioactive ashes. The casualties went into the tens of thousands, including many of the US Marine ship personnel and Air Force pilots found dead amidst the floating wreckage of the USS Missouri and other American battleships. The destruction of the city of Okinawa was already shocking enough, but it was the absolute annihilation of the Kadena Air Base and the sinking of the USS Missouri that horrified the United States of America to its core. Okinawa was a vital strategic point for the American Armed Forces' war efforts in the Korean War. So for it to quickly fall into irradiated ruin along with the city of Okinawa under Gojira's bloodthirsty rampage was unacceptable to the American citizens living in Guam and to those back home in the States, which spurred public outrage against the monster. Gojira proved too great of a threat to let him continue to roam the Pacific with now the southwestern provinces and smaller islands of Japan, Taiwan, and even South Korea under serious danger from being potential targets of his primal wrath. Both American and Japanese governments agreed to a motion to put an end to Gojira's reign of terror by any means necessary in spite of Yamane and Kirkpatrick's insistent protests that such a creature should only be captured and studied instead of being destroyed.

All hope to save the world from the prehistoric sea monster's unstoppable rage seemed lost until Dr. Daisuke Serizawa reluctantly came forth with his breakthrough invention of the Oxygen Destroyer. It was the first and last utilization of the device, which was also his self-destructive sacrifice, that ended the atomic horror of Gojira for good. Even still, Yamane was not convinced that the world's conflict with Gojira was truly over because as long as nuclear testing continued, another member of its species would arise in the near future. Little did he know that his dreaded prophetic prediction would come into fruition eight years later.

Godzilla

December 18, 1961. Somewhere in the icy waters of the Aleutian Islands, an American cargo ship was sailing from a temporary stop in San Francisco, California through a violent freak storm when the eruption of Bogoslof Island's submarine stratovolcano suddenly happened. The cargo ship was trying to navigate through the choppy, turbulent currents when almost out of nowhere a giant monster slammed into the ship and attacked it.

Months later on February 3rd of 1962, the US Navy patrol vessel, USS Haddonfield, was sailing in the area when they found the American cargo ship, Coastal Aurora, that was reported missing a month ago intact but deserted. The captain of the USS Haddonfield, Franklin Clarke, and his small detachment of Marines explored the ship. Much to his horror, he found all the crew dead except for Keith Llwellyn. Suddenly, a giant mutated Red King Crab about the size of a small pony ambushed his men, killing many, leaving only two of them and Franklin. The crustacean easily overpowered them with its claws and was close to killing them, but was axed from behind by none other than Keith Llwellyn. He saved Arthur and the surviving Marines after bludgeoning the arthropod to death.

In Anchorage, Keith was kept isolated in a hospital room and met with an older Professor Arthur Kirkpatrick who present him with pictures of Gojira, now anglicized as Godzilla, attacking Tokyo and Okinawa in 1954. From examining the photos, Keith confirmed that the monster he saw was another surviving member of Godzilla's species, albeit less of a bodily horror show and possessing a more terrestrial, dinosaur-like body plan than its more aquatic crocodilian-like predecessor. Franklin tried to spread the news of the second Godzilla's awakening but the word was kept secret by the American government to avoid panic with his report now withdrawn indefinitely. He traveled to the University of Alaska Fairbanks to visit Professor Arthur Kirkpatrick, whose assistant, Dr. Helen Fisher had perished in the first Godzilla's second raid on Tokyo, and his entire family was wiped out during Godzilla's rampage of Okinawa in 1954. Arthur explained to the young captain that after the events of 1954, he initially researched Godzilla out of a need for vengeance for his loved ones. However, after witnessing the pair of pterosaurian Titans, who were anglicized as Rodans based on the loose English translation of their Japanese name, "Radon", all the way from their awakening from the volcano of Mount Aso in Kyushu to their ill-fated death at the very same volcano in 1956, he later realized that Godzilla, like the Rodans and other Kaiju, including Mothra and Varan, was a tragic being that was only brought into conflict with the outside world because of Man's selfish arrogance and lust for absolute power that drove them to commit harmful, malicious deeds of great destructive magnitude that disturbed him in the first place. He described Godzilla as an extremely powerful, prehistoric beast-king hailing from a long-forgotten primordial era chosen by nature as her strongest avatar to inflict her grievances upon mankind and to remind them of their capability for unspeakable evil. At Kirkpatrick's laboratory, Franklin spotted Jill Llwellyn, Keith's wife, and her young daughter, Tina. He met them outside, introducing himself as the man who is acquainted with her husband, secretly telling them that Keith is alive, but he couldn't say whereas he's being held as it is a highly classified secret that even he's not privy to despite his rank. Despite frustration with the red tape around her husband, Jill thanked Franklin and said that she will wait for Keith's recovery no matter how long it took.

Meanwhile, a young family was enjoying themselves fishing at Alaska's Yukon River when their vacation had been rudely interrupted by loud, ear-shattering roars, which terrified the kids especially. Much to their horror, the roars belonged to none other than Godzilla and a new heavily armored, Ankylosaurus-like kaiju, Anguirus. The two reptilian titans were locked in a vicious brawl. Neither of the titanic combatants truly gained the upper hand over the other as Godzilla's atomic breath bounced off Anguirus' spiky carapace, nor could Anguirus critically injure the atomic dragon since Godzilla was much taller and wary of the Ankylosaur-like monster's clubbed tail. That was until Godzilla decided to try to flip his armored rival over with a shoulder tackle. However, Anguirus didn't get shoved over as he steadily held his ground, digging his hind feet deep into the ground. In retaliation, he bit down on one of Godzilla's few weak spots, his gills. The action caused Godzilla to back off immediately from the painful shock of having his gills bitten, but not before he slashed Anguirus across the snout and eye with his hand claws. Reeling from pain and blood loss across his face, Anguirus instinctively swung his tail club. Godzilla readily grabbed the tail in spite of the spikes digging into his sides as he slammed him headfirst into the earth multiple times before finally flinging him across, sending him crashing into the forest clearing with his softer undersides exposed. The leviathan fired off his atomic breath in an attempt to kill him off, but Anguirus acted quickly by curling himself up into a ball and rolling away from the beam of destruction. Godzilla was then bashed in the head by Anguirus rickrolling him from the side as the atomic reptile fell to the Yukon River, stunned and bloodied, which gave Anguirus the chance to dig a makeshift emergency escape tunnel. By the time Godzilla recovered, Anguirus already made his subterranean getaway and the fight ended in a draw. Godzilla left the Alaskan wilderness with much of it a splintered and charred mess.

Soon, Godzilla appeared in San Francisco Bay where he tore down half of the Golden Gate Bridge and destroyed all of the US Army tank and artillery units stationed there as a temporary defensive perimeter. The archosaurian leviathan easily plowed through the naval blockade and soon made landfall. He leveled significant portions of San Francisco to the ground with the sheer weight of his footfalls alone as they crushed everything, including trolley trains, and also gouged large crater-like footprints into the pavement. His tail and thagomizer spikes tore down several apartment complexes in its wake. Whatever skyscraper that wasn't bulldozed by Godzilla's titanic stature was incinerated in half by his Atomic Breath. It wasn't before long the Monster King encountered opposition in the form of a vaguely humanoid, 303-ft. tall giant robot with a crimson mono-eye descending towards him from the sky above. It was clandestinely created by the US military for the sole purpose of neutralizing Godzilla should he ever threaten the United States. The war robot briefly attacked Godzilla from the air like a B-52 bomber of sorts by firing off flames emitted from the flamethrower nozzles on its head and a laser-like weapon projected from its cyclopean visor. Godzilla tried to shoot it down, but the robot's smaller size, greater speed, and maneuverability enabled it to dodge the Atomic Heat Ray effectively. The war robot, which was named USS Talos, landed in front of Godzilla with its wings now transformed into tri-clawed arms for hand-to-hand combat. Godzilla and the USS Talos engaged in a heated ground battle where the latter fired off its laser-like weapon, shoulder-mounted rocket launchers, and a huge machine gun from its chest compartment, resulting in heavy bombardment against the former. Though initially taken aback by the bombardment, Godzilla powered through it all and charged head-on at the USS Talos. The US war robot kept up on the bombardment until the archosaurian Titan rammed his hardened skull straight into it. In spite of the armor designed to absorb most of the physical impact of the charge, the USS Talos was caught off of its feet and sent flying several hundred yards away until the robot dug its steel claws into the streets to prevent itself from kissing the ground. The uneven terrain of the city streets didn't help both combatants in terms of stability, though Godzilla had sharp claws and a long, heavy tail to better stabilize in such an environment than the robot did. Still, the two pilots did the best they could to adapt the USS Talos to the disadvantageous terrain with the mecha's uneven, clunky limb proportions and limited technology at the time as they engaged the robot in a claw-to-claw brawl with Godzilla.

The USS Talos treated the whole mano a mano ordeal as a boxing match, albeit far more dangerous and intense with high-end stakes involved, and with the range of motion for the robot's arms limited to piercing swipes and bludgeoning club-like punches. Godzilla, however, saw the fight as more of an annoying nuisance as the robot had barely inflicted damage onto his armored scales, and his claw swipes had far more impact due to his larger mass and size powering them. After a couple of minutes into the brawl, it was clear that Godzilla had the upper hand as he had suffered no lasting damage to his body thanks to his tough hide and very potent regeneration ability to quickly heal any piercing damage inflicted by the USS Talos, which enabled him to keep on fighting with his enhanced reptilian stamina. On the other hand, though, the USS Talos was suffering quite a heavy beating with claw marks and impressionable dents done to its impressively constructed chassis, which wasn't meant to last long in a prolonged physical confrontation with a much larger monstrous opponent like Godzilla. Most of the harm it managed to inflict onto the beast was through the swiping motion of its steel claws and the firing of its laser-like visor weapon at close range. Sadly, such damage didn't last long and only served to provoke Godzilla into further aggression. Even the additional reinforcements of tanks and bombers only made Godzilla more infuriated and determined to destroy the USS Talos and kill the pilots in it. Godzilla crushed the large gatling gun with a well-placed furious claw swipe to its chest. Such a swipe clearly rattled the duo inside the cockpit with one of them suffering from a whiplash resultant of the swipe's forceful impact. Disoriented and panicked, the remaining pilot was woefully unprepared for what happened next after Godzilla chomped hard on the USS Talos' head. Godzilla slammed the war robot through a skyscraper headfirst before scratching it and pressing half of his body weight via frontal limbs onto Talos' back. He crushed one of the shoulder-mounted rocket launchers and ripped the head off with his jaws. The pilot reactivated Talos' engines to full throttle as soon as a squadron of the early US attack helicopters managed to distract the atomic reptile long enough for him to do so. However, Godzilla caught onto what Talos was trying to do and immediately charged up his tail and dorsal spines for his Spiral Heat-Ray. He wasn't about to let the war robot and the humans inside it that had the gall to stand in his way get away with such a crime. Godzilla incinerated most of the helicopter squadron into radioactive ashes as he let out his fatal oral weapon. As soon as his Spiral Heat Ray struck through the USS Talos, the entire robot exploded, evaporating both of the pilots along with it.

With his major military opposition up in flames, Godzilla stomped through San Francisco unopposed. His destination was the Vallecitos Boiling Water Reactor in Alameda County. However, he felt the ground underneath him shake when he got within 27 miles of the hills surrounding the reactor, which made him stop in his tracks. That proved to be a bad mistake for him as the earth collapsed underneath his feet, and fell into a massive, crater-like hole. Bursting out and roaring at the top of his lungs was none other than Anguirus. He was here to finish what he had started, which was to kill Godzilla.

Combat Statistics:

Normal Abilities:

Exceptional Kaiju Strength and Durability:

Godzilla is not called the "King of the Monsters" for nothing as he isn't just titanic in size and massive in terms of his weight. He is extremely strong and durable even for Titans of his size, capable of executing powerful abilities and feats that would debilitate, incapacitate, or even kill foes equalling his stature or larger. He is well proficient in close-range fights and devastating at long-range combat, and possesses supernatural durability against nearly all conventional weapons. He is known to survive the detonation of Castle Bravo and in close proximity to the bomb in 1954. His species have survived meteoric and volcanic disasters that have caused the Permian-Triassic, Triassic-Jurassic, and the Cretaceous-Paleogene Extinction events. Godzilla's steel-like scales are able to withstand incredible physical stress, are unfeeling towards most forms of impact, and can even resist piercing damage to some extent as they are reinforced by metal-like minerals passively leached from the surrounding environment during his eons of brumation. His skeleton is similarly reinforced with the additional unknown variant of calcium dubbed Gigantocalcium. Beneath his armored hide, incredibly strong and densely packed muscles are reinforced by organic micro-carbon filaments created by a similar process that also reinforced his skin and scales. This enables him to resist forces forty times his own weight, to crush monsters that are about his size or smaller into a bloody pulp, and to throw them aside like rag dolls. The reinforcement of his skeletal system applies to his teeth, claws, dorsal plates, and thagomizer spines. This endows him with claws and fangs that can easily tear and slice through steel and concrete like they are a fragile piece of fabric as well as puncture through and crush many layers of a kaiju's skin, muscles, and bone, whose durability is relatively average compared to him. His forearm blades, cranial crests and horns, dorsal plates, thagomizer spines, and bony tail stinger serve both a protective function and as offensive weapons of the sort in that they act as sharp armor meant to cut into enemies that come into contact with them. His dorsal plates and thagomizer spines have been known to destroy ships by slicing and bludgeoning them into pieces. The bladed spikes on his forearms have deflected physical attacks and sliced through the hides of weaker monsters. The crests and horns on his head have left grievous, bloody gouges into Kong's abdomen where he rammed his head into that vulnerable spot like a spiked battering ram. One impact from his muscular, armored tail can turn boulders into powder and crack even the armor plating of some kaiju, and it is flexible enough to constrict, puncture and tear into deep into the flesh with the thagomizer spines in play as well. Even when critically injured, his potent regenerative ability comes into play, allowing him to recover from injuries that would fatally cripple many other monsters, giants, and mechas alike, although the scar tissue will turn cancerous and diseased as a result, which can cause him enough pain and stress to raise his ire even further - tumors are generally reabsorbed within days. This accelerated, regenerative healing ability also grants Godzilla supernatural resistance towards toxins and pathogens as they can't find a foothold in a body that's essentially in a constant state of chemotherapy. Godzilla's durability is supplemented by the radiation he absorbs and produces from within his own body. In his powered-up state, Godzilla's durability is enhanced to an nth degree, rendering him able to withstand Ghidorah's gravity beams or Darkseid's Omega Beams with no visible harm at all, and also to survive his body's self-produced explosions when the nuclear energy within his body reaches critical mass.

Energy Absorption:

Technically gigantothermic due to his sheer size which allows him to conserve bodily heat thanks to the lower ratio of surface area to volume. Still, he has behavioral and physical traits that allow him to execute some form of endothermy by retaining the heat produced by his muscle system in order to maintain his semi-aquatic lifestyle. Thankfully, the advantages of his gigantothermic metabolism take effect in the form of reduced nutritional intakes compared to an endotherm of similar size. His own body produces more than enough internal heat to live well as a functional giant organism in most environments, though Godzilla still supplements this with the occasional feeding on whales; giant squid; deep-sea plesiosaurs, ichthyosaurs, and mosasaurs; and flesh of smaller kaiju. However, his metabolism is a more specialized form of gigantothermy in that it is also tailored to absorbing any form of energy from its environment and converting it into biological fuel for itself. The unique biology of his cells makes them quasi-photosynthetic and to a certain extent, bio-volcanic in their nature, which results in Godzilla feeding on radioactive energy sources and sources of geothermal heat, which are primarily underwater volcanoes. Combined with the carbon dioxide from his own respiratory systems and the oxygen filtered from saltwater via gills, his body can produce large amounts of its own chemical energy as its self-produced, accessible source of sustenance in times when other food sources have become increasingly rare. Many eons ago during the Permian Period, Godzilla's kin relied on the geothermal heat produced by the planet via intense volcanism, but artificial production facilities of nuclear power created by humans often draw these Titans towards metropolitan population centers. Godzilla will also readily draw upon solar energy if either of his preferable sources of energy sustenance has been rendered inaccessible to him.

Amphibian Adaptability:

Godzilla possesses armored gills that his kin have retained from their ancestors re-entering the water during the later stages of the Carboniferous Period, which make it possible for him to live as a pelagic creature where the buoyant environment allows him to move more freely without the restrictions of gravity. He also possesses amphibious lungs that enable him to breathe both in water and on land, making him semi-aquatic as he also possesses adaptational traits for terrestrial locomotion that help support his gigantic bulk on land like a giant theropod dinosaur. His gills close when he's on land and are protected by ossified plates that enable him to keep moisture within them in terrestrial environments. The fin-like frill structures lining his neck both act as an intimidation display and as a secondary pair of respiratory gills since they do contain rich blood vessels and cells that can passively extract oxygen from both the surrounding water and air moisture and absorb it into the skin whilst also releasing carbon dioxide via gas exchange like some salamanders, which increases his metabolic rate and blood circulation significantly. Therefore, Godzilla should be considered as a specialized gigantothermic chimera that has the best advantages of both ectotherm and endotherm worlds with unique bio-atomic physiology. Because of this, Godzilla has a variety of combat tactics he can employ to his advantage no matter what environment he's in. His favorite environment is obviously large bodies of saltwater where he's been known to swim at 55 knots, but can also reach swimming speeds surpassing 85 knots. He propels his titanic body through the ocean by undulating his tail like a crocodile and can swim extremely quickly despite his great size. Thanks to his aquatic adaptations, Godzilla is an extremely powerful combatant underwater. One of his favorite tactics is dragging his opponent underneath the water's surface, and then twisting and rolling about with them in his grasp to disorient, rip and tear, and potentially drown them. Godzilla is deadlier, faster, and more aggressive underwater than he is on land, but his mobility and aggression on land shouldn't be underestimated either. He is incredibly strong, surprisingly quick and agile, and frightfully bloodthirsty in combat on land and/or when's he extremely angry and pissed off, but when he's in his natural pelagic environment, he can disappear, reappear, and inflict a fatal blow before his enemy could even realize what just happened.

Complex Reptilian Intelligence:

Godzilla's mental state is a hotly debated topic for many discussions amidst Monarch and other Kaiju-related organizations as he is not exactly stupid as people might assume based on some misinformed preconceptions about reptilian mentality in general. He is not on the lower end of the intelligence spectrum like most low-tier reptilian species such as lizards. Godzilla's intelligence is probably somewhere higher than crocodilians and dinosaurs and potentially on par with some of the highly advanced species of birds and mammals, which is very high for a reptile whose early archosaurian ancestry rose to absolute dominance early on in Earth's primitive history and preceded the later and much more famous archosaurian lineages of the Mesozoic era by several hundred million years. He has shown to be cunning and ruthless in his learning and strategy during combat, gradually discovering his enemy's weaknesses and their attack patterns after repeated clashes with them. Afterward, he can readily anticipate their next move and counter them with a fatal blow to incapacitate or kill them. He can use his surroundings to his advantages such as shoving another Titan into a building or weakening its foundation to crush them under the debris and rubble. And he has demonstrated that he can pinpoint exact groups of human individuals or specific monsters that represent a threat to his reign as the alpha Titan and hunt them down to end them once and for all. He also recognizes who is a potential ally to him and whoever that is antagonistically challenging his status and destroying nature's balance. However, his keen reptilian intellect is overshadowed by his animalistic rage and his simplistic, instinctive motivations. This makes it difficult for anyone, even for some of the exceptional Kaiju individuals closest to him, to approach him as a reliable, long-term ally as he could switch allegiances on a dime out of instinctive self-preservation, protect his own territorial interests as the ultimate apex predator, and whether or not those allegiances would positively benefit his protection of Planet Earth's ecosystems in the long run. On the other hand, this also makes him difficult to influence via mind control, and while communication via psionic telepathy is not impossible, it isn't easily accomplished either even for exceptionally powerful telepaths and experienced psychics. All attempts to form a mental link with Godzilla so far have resulted in experiencing discordant, animalistic screams and, in the case of more sensitive individuals, very disturbing nightmares of prehistoric monsters inflicting all kinds of bestial violence upon each other and sometimes, onto those experiencing these visions with gory, blood-chilling results that would leave the scryers with intense mental trauma. Resultant symptoms are heavy emotional and psychological scars that can take weeks, if not, months to heal. But even if they could heal and do get over the aftermath after months of assisting therapy, these individuals will still experience lingering PTSD from such psychologically traumatic events.

It is extremely difficult to coerce Godzilla into subservience through any means of mental manipulation. If such an effort is successfully implemented at all, he won't stay as a puppet for very long. His unadulterated wrath over it means that the perpetrator usually won't survive such an endeavor much longer either.

De-Centralized Nervous System:

While not to the same extreme extent as King Ghidorah's, his nervous system has a more widespread distribution rather than just being concentrated in the brain. Large bundles of nerve tissue are located along the spinal cord and the hips at the base of his tail. The results are of a kaiju that is capable of continuing the fight in spite of his brain being incredibly weakened while also having astonishingly rapid-fire reflexes, particularly in his tail. In fact, the tail moves almost independently of the rest of the Monster King's body, lashing and striking at foes trying to go behind his back.

Special Abilities:

Atomic Radiation Physiology:

To say Godzilla is radioactive is a massive Kaiju-sized understatement of the century. Godzilla is more than just a living reptilian nuclear reactor of behemoth proportions. He is the epitome of bio-radiation, the absurd concept where one derives its superhuman abilities and energy sustenance from having its entire functional biology and physiology mutated by nuclear radiation. His very own existence is a walking contradiction that blurs the line between reality and fantasy. More than most kaiju, Godzilla can withstand dangerously high levels of nuclear radiation that can weaken most organisms, both kaiju and non-kaiju monsters alike. In fact, specific aspects of his anatomy are radiation-absorbent.

Special nerves and blood vessels just under his scales are able to draw in thermal energy in a manner convergent to crocodilians. The ones just under the keratin covering his bladed dorsal spines have cells that are not only radiation resistant, but actively draw particle radiation towards them. Samples of the remains of the original Godzilla have even resulted in the discovery of an additional kind of tissue which, synthesizes organic chemicals with radiation as input, similar to the photosynthetic cells of plants, suggesting that Godzilla is at least partly radiotrophic - a possible holdover from when his ancestors adapted to the increased levels of UV radiation which occurred during the Permian extinction. All of this means that Godzilla is able to absorb all forms of radiation emissions as a means of sustenance when organic nutrition is unavailable, allowing him to withstand amounts of radiation, which would be dangerous to most other forms of organic life. In theory, he would be capable of cleaning all of Chernobyl of any traces of harmful radiation within a few months if not weeks. Scientists believe Godzilla seems to gravitate towards power plants rather than seeking out animal prey simply because at his size, there are precious few organisms that he can adequately subsist on, and most of those are hazardous enough in their own right that populations of them would be unsustainable. When he does hunt, he primarily targets life forms that are also quasi-radioactive in origin, particularly mutants bought about by nuclear experimentation.

Atomic Emission:

Tying into his atomic absorption ability, Godzilla is capable of emitting it as well or at least venting excess amounts of it to prevent his already distorted anatomy from mutating further and causing him additional stress. The muscles surrounding his respiratory system have a network of nerves and vessels that funnel radiation that is emitted by the rest of his physiology into the lungs and trachea, and the alveoli of his lungs themselves are also specially radiation-resistant to aid in this. Air-filled tubes run through some of the reactors and into the plates, where they can be used in intimidation or mating displays. But perhaps his most famous usage of radiation is as an offensive weapon. Rather than just being sustained off it, Godzilla can harness the radiation produced by his body to power deadly attacks. The biological nuclear reactors in his body are part of a biological system (dubbed the Bio-Nuclear Circulatory System) that extends from the tail to the plates and ends at the head of the creature, and it is responsible for the creature's more infamous attacks. The "Atomic Tail Stinger" forms when the reactors in the tail and stinger heat the muscle bundles and divert power into the small veins at the base of the thagomizer spines, causing them to glow and emit plasma through tiny pores from within the spines. They can either create powerful energy shockwaves that can slice through objects with the swing of his tail, or be utilized as a deadly combination of a spear and mace, which can inflict cauterized injuries onto his enemies at specific points of their bodies. Reactors near the dorsal plate section of the creature can have their radioactive energy redirected into the plates themselves, releasing a full body nuclear pulse. Within a short radius, it can immolate the air and blow away larger objects, while over a larger range, can interfere with electromagnetic fields, which results in short-lived lightning storms and an EMP that fries electronics. When Godzilla is in his Meltdown/Berserker state, more powerful orange-colored pulses with shades of reddish-purple are constantly emitted from his body, causing the environment around him to erupt into flames and objects to melt into magma-like mush. These pulses are uncontrollable and reactive and are a symptom of Godzilla's meltdown. These same reactors can also create a sort of "shield" of radiation around himself most often via his dorsal plates glowing before he exhales his atomic breath, which can sicken and/or scald even other kaiju in immediate proximity, though not as destructive as his most infamous attack, the Atomic Breath, due to its broader and more diluted distribution. On the other hand, the Atomic Breath results when atomic energy enters a crop-like organ (dubbed the Nucleosyntheic Sac), before being ejected out as a superheated and condensed vapor of atomic energy. This vapor is capable of reaching Mach 1, and able to strike ground-based foes accurately from a few kilometers away, and has enough pressure and heat behind it to carve straight through the chassis of the American war robot, the USS Talos. The force behind the attack is so great that Godzilla first needs to firmly plant his two feet and muscular tail into the ground before expelling the vapor, as it could potentially topple the creature if there is not enough support. The flash created by the expulsion of this attack is so great, that Godzilla's kind has developed secondary eyelids so that they don't go blind during the attack (if they ever do though, they can be repaired with the help of G-cells). Although Godzilla prefers close combat most of the time due to practicality, his atomic breath can traverse considerable distances if exhaled with enough force, although its concussive power generally decreases the further it travels. Prolonged usage of the attack can drain Godzilla of energy, but one attack is usually enough to end a fight, one way or another. His radiation absorption abilities also mean he can quickly recover from fatigue.

However, Godzilla's continuously atomic power-producing adaptation comes at a cost. Like all daikaiju, his body continuously absorbs radiation and is very good at insulating the resulting heat, which could lead to the creature overheating. This isn't a problem in his deep-sea habitat, where the immense cold keeps his body temperature regulated despite the constant release of heat into the environment, but on dry land, it becomes a problem. To counter this, his kind has evolved two sets of organs that run from a secondary smaller palate of his lower jaw, and underneath his throat, which take in cold seawater that cools his body (much like the cooling water seen in nuclear power plants) and then vents the excess out through minute pores under the armored plating of his gills and hidden underneath the row of fin-like neck frills in the form of steam. Additionally, Godzilla can produce an electromagnetic field, which he can manipulate to cool the water molecules around him, causing the surrounding temperature to drop to make it easier to keep cool when traveling across the land. Finally, a highly developed respiratory system running through the entire creature's body further aids in heat loss.

Spiral Heat Ray:

A stronger variation of Godzilla's standard atomic breath that is more potent than his normal atomic breath and is wrapped in a purplish electrical spiral of energy. Before Godzilla fires the spiral azure breath, his dorsal fins are surrounded in blue electricity. The other variation is the Crimson Nuclear Fusion Heat-Ray, which is reddish-orange in color and is powerful enough to overpower tougher and stronger monsters such as King Ghidorah, the MUTO species, Super Mechagodzilla, Biollante, Spacegodzilla, Perfect Chaos, Category V Anteverse Kaiju like Slattern, Mega-Kaiju, and Legion. Many of the Elder Grimm wouldn't likely survive being struck by this variant of the Spiral Heat-Ray. Most superheroes and supervillains alike would be rendered crippled, poisoned, and incapacitated when exposed to its intense radiation. To get directly struck by the blast would mean fatal injury or death for any of them. Super Robots like Mazinger, Evangelions, Shin Getter Robo and Neo Getter Robo; giant-sized Transformers such as Omega Supreme and Trypticon, and some of the more technologically-advanced Mobile Suit Gundams like Strike Freedom, and Gundam 00 might be able to partially resist the dangerous intensity of the stronger heat ray variant, but not without suffering some heavy consequences such as melted armor, weapon systems rendered dysfunctional or inoperable, and limited movement that would further increase the risk of them perishing under Godzilla's unstoppable fury.

In his "Meltdown Mode", this Spiral Heat-Ray variant proves to be more powerful and more destructive than the second variant. This variant is classified as the Violet Nuclear Heat-Ray as its color is fiery violet-purple. This beam is said to increase infinitely in power each time Burning Godzilla uses it and is capable of blasting off part of the frill on Destoroyah's head and severely wounding his shoulder while setting the entire surrounding area ablaze. But when extremely infuriated or when his heart starts to fail, he undergoes a dramatic power surge from the excruciating amount of pain he's experiencing as his body starts to emit radiation levels equivalent to that of the Sun's in the form of a fiery red aura where everything within a 400-mile radius of him not only erupts into flames but melts into radioactive magma-like slush. His Violet Nuclear Heat-Ray becomes the strongest and most devastating variant of the Spiral Heat-Ray of all time, the SuperNova Heat-Ray, which his heat ray of death becomes a frighteningly violent mix of orange and purple imbued with dark crimson electricity. The SuperNova Heat-Ray becomes twice as hot as the Sun at 30,000,000 degrees Celsius and could turn the entire metropolitan city of Tokyo or Manhattan into a hellish radioactive wasteland with several blasts. Only the strongest and most powerful beings such as Emperor Ghidorah, Destoroyah, Giga Imperius Bowser, Darkseid, Thanos, Salem, Edward Newgate AKA "Whitebeard", Rosalina, Doomsday, Irys, Bagan, Super forms of Sonic and Shadow, Metroplex, Benjamin Tennyson's most powerful aliens like Way Big, Ultraman Belial, Getter Robo Arc, Mazinkaiser, Shazam, Superman, Thor, the Hulk, All Might, All For One, Tatsumaki, Cthulhu, and Magita, the massive mountain of a Titan who is the alpha queen of the Trilopod species, could possibly withstand the SuperNova Heat-Ray head-on without much visible damage at first. However, prolonged exposure to excessively dangerous amounts of radioactivity, very intense heatwaves, and nuclear shockwaves resultant of this Spiral Heat-Ray variant for some of these beings could cause internal bleeding due to cancerous growths in the organs and trigger disruptive super variations of the nervous system disorders, which could even hamper their own bodily functions to various degrees with their superhuman immune systems stressed to their very limit. In turn, this could force their own superhuman bodies to reduce some or shut off all of their metahuman abilities entirely to conserve their bodily energy reserves for extensive repairs, rendering them powerless and susceptible to illnesses they would otherwise be immune to. In the case of Metroplex, his armor plating might melt off which would endanger many of his bodily circuitry to the point that he will be forced to be shut off into a coma to protect his spark core from being compromised. As for Getter Robo Arc and Mazinkaiser, the robots might experience problems similar to Metroplex's, but the more calamitous risk is with the human pilots of these Super Robots exposed to apocalyptic amounts of nuclear and electromagnetic radiation once the special alloys of their respective armor plating have been rendered dysfunctional. The Getter pilots are in more dire straits as the Getter Rays of their transformable mecha is observed to have adverse, volatile reactions towards Godzilla's superpowered electromagnetic radiation, which could severely incapacitate them as their bodies are forced to suffer from the constant stressful cycle of mutation, decay, and repair, virtually cannibalizing themselves.

Nuclear Burning Berserker:

On the rare occasions when excessive radiation has been absorbed too quickly for his anatomy to contain it effectively, Godzilla has been known to exhibit a sort of "powered-up state" which makes his presence alone incredibly deadly to most organic life. His skin cracks and emits a bright orange glow as he reaches a state known as Burning Godzilla. Godzilla becomes so superheated in this state that he melts everything around him. The sheer amount of energy emitted by his entire body is such that his hide heats up to a dangerous extreme, burning and paining him even more than normal and driving him into a berserk frenzy where he grows to a much larger size at 636 feet tall and 3,170 feet long with his muscle mass drastically increased to 156,000 metric tons. In this berserker state, his back, chest, shoulder, and thigh muscles swell considerably revealing scars where these wounded areas of the skin will glow a bright crimson light and emit large amounts of steam from them. His dorsal plates will expand to that of larger proportions thanks to his enlarged back muscles and some of the larger ones will show fractures in the process. Godzilla's veins in his dorsal plates will have its veins enlarged and pulsate with an ominous lava orange glow to them. Thus, anything within a radius of his body length risks being incinerated by the sheer heat he emits in this "Meltdown Mode", and even his own irradiated tissues are damaged even more than normal as a result. If the energy itself isn't released - in the form of a tremendous blast which may have several times more power than the atomic bombs dropped over Nagasaki and Hiroshima at full intensity - his own organs will fail and become overwhelmed by mutated tumors, forcing him into a healing coma or even potentially killing him altogether. Should the energy be successfully released, he will shrink to a smaller, but still quite larger and more powerful form than his regular form called "Cooldown Aftermath". In this intermediate state, he would be 600 feet tall and 2,150 feet long with his mass being 142,000 metric tons. His body would still be more enhanced than usual with his body now glowing azure instead of dangerous red-orange, though still not as brightly luminous as he was in his pre-Berserker state after being exposed to a nuclear blast. His opponents would be wise not to poorly judge or underestimate him in this "cooldown" state of his as he could still fatally injure or kill them with his Atomic Breath as it is still more powerful and hotter than normal. Godzilla's kind has evolved such a defensive post-Berserker state after successfully exiting their "Meltdown Mode" to protect themselves from any unexpected ambushes by opportunistic monsters willing to take malicious advantage of their exhausted bodies as to give themselves enough breathing room to retreat to the abyssal depths of their pelagic habitat to eventually cool and heal themselves back to normal.

Weaknesses:

Deathly Cold:

Godzilla's gigantothermy has one fatal flaw: if the environment does not provide energy and especially heat, it struggles to maintain a steady body temperature. Even its own endothermic adaptations can only help it so much, and if the environment becomes too cold, with too little outside energy available, it will enter a state of torpor until it can warm up or otherwise receive energy again. Cold-based attacks from enemy kaiju are one of the few reliable ways of slowing Godzilla down and disturbing and riling it greatly as a result. He also has a critical weakness to large amounts of cadmium being used against him as this element is commonly used to slow down nuclear reactors, effectively cooling down their reactivity as they prevent additional fission events. Since his anatomy does house an internal biological nuclear reactor, cadmium has been effective in temporarily stopping Godzilla by "freezing" it and thus, forcing his bodily systems to power down into a brumation-like state.

Electrocution:

The other significant means of giving Godzilla pause, its energy absorption is in part reliant on the energy being transmitted by its circulatory and nervous systems. The former is more relevant than the latter, however, and electrical energy is usually transmitted to the latter - too much of it can cause Godzilla to "short-circuit" and incapacitate it temporarily.

Violently Territorial:

Immensely old and emotionally scarred by his experiences in recent years, it's safe to say that "anger issues" is a massive understatement as a descriptor of Godzilla's major character flaw. His behavior is largely reactive in nature, but when his rage is stirred, it is virtually unstoppable and ignorant of reason. Though not averse to cooperation, Godzilla has been known to turn on allies that hinder him and force them out of his way if it means reaching the shared adversary - and anything that presents a threat to his or his habitat's well-being will find themselves in grave peril. As devastating as this aggression can be, it can also be used against him, drawing him away from key areas or into particularly challenging hazards or situations. That said, more than a few overconfident opponents have lost their lives due to toying with Godzilla's temper too much, and even close allies have to be careful around him lest they find themselves subject to collateral damage from his legendary rampages.

Tag-Team:

Godzilla is best suited to combat against single equally sized opponents. If he faces multiple foes that match him in terms of scale or power, he tends to struggle more due to his tendency to fixate on just one of them at a time, allowing teams of enemy kaiju capable of coordinating their efforts will be able to blindside him repeatedly as he tries to take them down one by one. Groups of smaller opponents like swarming monsters or military vehicles are less effective due to his attacks having a cleaving effect and hitting multiple small targets at once if aimed well, but there are some horde-based sub-kaiju that have still managed to match him, albeit in specific circumstances in their favor.

Personality and Combat Style:

The Godzillasaurus specimen known as Godzilla is not the same individual Godzillasaurus that turned Tokyo into a sea of flames in 1954. In fact, it turns out that the more terrestrial Godzilla is the younger, albeit much bigger, brother of the older Gojira. The brothers had been affected by the nuclear fallout of Castle Bravo when they were resting underneath the Bikini Atoll, but their paths have diverged from each other in how they dealt with its disastrous consequences in spite of both surviving the blast. One would become highly deranged and psychotic with his body unable to cope fighting itself for so long and his mind slowly losing its grip on whatever was left of his sanity after Castle Bravo as the dark, depressing reality of his deteriorating condition and mankind's reactive paranoia against him drove him to the point of no return. The other, a Godzillasaurus who is better adapted to the mutagenic properties of Castle Bravo's nuclear energies but has massive anger management issues towards a fast-changing modern world whilst internally suffering from his darkest inner demons, even as he finally managed to find a mate and start a family of his own against all odds to keep the ancient bloodline of his species strong into the future. There are currently several known types of Godzillas, some of which hail from younger archosaurian lineages that evolved parallel to the original dragon-like Godzillasaurus lineage. In order, starting with the archosaurian lineages that make up most of the major well-known Godzillas:

"Godzilla" or "Gojira II" is the surviving sibling of the first Godzillasaurus specimen, the former "King of the Monsters", husband of "Okami Godzilla", biological father of "Millennium Godzilla" and adopted father of "Minya" or "Godzilla Jr.", and the strongest and smartest alpha Godzillasaurus, who first appeared in 1962 and has made regular appearances until 1995 when he meets his self-inflicted Meltdown demise, but not before greatly wounding Destoroyah; "Okami Godzilla" or "Moro", the former "Queen of the Monsters", wife of Godzilla, biological mother of "Millennium Godzilla" and adopted mother of "Minya" or "Godzilla Jr." who first appeared in 1971 and met Godzilla at the time he found the small isolated Birth Island to help Minya settle down in a more stable home away from the more chaotic, larger Monster Island of the Ogasawara Archipelago; "Heisei Godzilla" is the last of the species of semi-aquatic theropod dinosaurs called Megalotyrannus lagoensis, who are related to the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex of the late Cretaceous Period; current successor and holder of the title of "King of the Monsters"; former competitive rival and uneasy ally of his predecessor, husband of "Gojirin", biological father to "Kenji Godzilla" and "Sakura Godzilla", adopted father of female Godzillasaur/Megalotyrannus/human giantess hybrid, "Masumi Godzilla", adopted uncle by relation via Rinji to both Godzilla Jr. and Millennium; mutated by the same Castle Bravo nuclear bomb testings that forever changed the original Godzillasaurus brothers, "Heisei" would appear in 1984 and make his own regular appearances starting from there all the way to the early 2010s with his sightings becoming less frequent since then; "Gojirin" or "Rinji" is the cousin of "Godzilla" or "Gojira II" and thus, she is part of the original Godzillasaurus lineage; the current title holder of "Queen of the Monsters", wife of "Heisei Godzilla", biological mother of "Kenji Godzilla" and "Sakura Godzilla", adopted mother of "Masumi Godzilla", sister-in-law of "Moro", biological auntie of "Millennium Godzilla" and adopted aunt of "Godzilla Jr."; Rinji met Heisei early on in his reign of terror in 1988 when he rescued her from the wrath of Burtannus; though, initially having a rocky start with the two having equally assertive, short-fused temperaments and the fact that she was related to "Gojira II" or Godzilla, who was at this point, Heisei's fierce rival for the alpha Titan position, Rinji and Heisei cooled down enough to know more about each other to the point they're comfortable in starting a romantic relationship with each other until they officially become a married couple in 1991 to start their own family onwards; "Godzilla Jr." or "Minya", adopted son of "Godzilla" and "Moro", who first started out as an orphaned infant under Godzilla's, then later, Moro's parental protection; later became the older half-brother of "Millennium Godzilla" after he hatched out into the world; in 1974, as a subadult, he left the safety of Birth Island to strike out on his own into the world; now as a full-grown Godzillasaurus, he would appear from 1985 onwards despite being killed by Destoroyah along with Masumi in 1995 thanks to his father's Meltdown radioactive energy resurrecting them; "Millennium Godzilla", the younger biological son of Godzilla and Moro, younger half-brother of Godzilla Jr., who would appear from 1999 onwards; "Kenji Godzilla", eldest offspring of Heisei and Gojirin, older brother of "Sakura" and older adopted brother of Masumi, would appear as a fully grown adult in 2000 and onwards as a friendly rival of Millennium, overprotective of Masumi since 1995; "Sakura Godzilla", daughter of Heisei and Gojirin, younger sister of Kenji and adopted older sister of kaiju/human giantess hybrid, Masumi, she would first officially appear in 2002 along with Mothra Leo, Godzuki and his flock, Alpha Ropen, Anguirus, Gamera, Methuselah, Manda, and Tiamat to help her intervene to prevent the conflict amidst Godzilla Jr., Masumi, Millennium, Behemoth, the infamous Rodan sister-brother pair: Radon and Fire Rodan, Firebird, Quetzalcoatl, King Shisa, Battra, and the new Mothra twin larvae from escalating out of control over the fate of humanity in their creation of Kiryu Mechagodzilla, who was Gojira of 1954's skeleton resurrected as a cyborg by the Japanese Anti-Godzilla Countermeasure branch of the JSDF, G-Force; and "Legendary Godzilla", the most ancient member of the long-lived proto-archosaurian Godzillasaurus lineage and presumably the ancestor of Gojira, Godzilla, Okami, and Rinji, who is the latest of the family to appear into the world starting with 2014 when he hunted down the recently awoken MUTO Prime and killed her in San Francisco.

Masumi Godzilla, as mentioned before, is quite a major exception to the family in more ways than one. She is a Gojiran/human giantess hybrid that was resultant of an illegal kaiju hybridization genetic experiment conducted by the multi-global eco-terrorist organization called Red Bamboo and her full origin is another long story altogether. She has been found alone with the dead bodies of her parents, who were former Red Bamboo scientists turned traitors, in a cave deep within the rainforest mountains of Papua New Guinea by Rinji. Rinji felt great sympathy for the traumatized young giantess and took her along with an orphaned chick of the pterosaurian cryptid species of Ropen back to the large tropical island of Takamishima to raise as her own offspring much like her biological son and daughter, despite her husband and patriarch of the Megalotyrannus family, Heisei's disapproval.

Despite the Godzillasaurs and Megalotyrannus being closely related to each other by their archosaurian bloodlines and marital ties that brought the two species together, they differ starkly from each other based on their individual personalities and the circumstances surrounding their mutation into the titanic apex monsters we know them as of today. The first specimen to be sighted, Gojira, was said to be a guardian of the western Pacific prior to the nuclear tests that scarred it forever, leaving more than just physical damage behind. It is theorized that Godzilla's species adapted to subsist not only on regular prey, but also on natural energy; originally they must have lived off geothermal heat, but radiation proved more effective even if it was more limited. However, it seems that the rapid influx of atomic energy from Castle Bravo was too much for the affected specimens to handle all at once, resulting in a sustenance imbalance which led to permanent internal damage, potentially to the brain in the case of Gojira. The end result was a traumatized but enraged figure which was as much a victim as it was a persecutor, and even when reconstituted into a different, more controlled life form, it still seems to remember the consequences of mankind's thoughtless actions and has been famously difficult to handle, only acknowledging the input of several very specific exceptions to its contempt towards humans in general.

Godzilla, or Gojira II, meanwhile, was the former King of the Monsters and the second of his kind, nicknamed as the Showa King, who was Earth's most powerful kaiju and was its greatest defender, acting as a judge, jury, and executioner against kaiju who commit injustice to the natural order. He was mainly prominent from 1960 to 1995 and was also considered the most intelligent of the Godzillasaurus species, and capable of utilizing strategy to which it's presumed he has near-human intelligence. He and Gojira had lost their parents early on at some unknown period of time and thus, Godzilla looked up to his elder brother as both his authoritative sibling and as a father figure of sorts. However, that long relationship sadly ended after Castle Bravo detonated as Godzilla quickly fled north into the Bering Sea whilst leaving his older brother behind. The mutation caused by the same excess energy that wounded its precursor so terribly caused him to evolve virtually unchecked, growing from an adolescent to an adult prematurely within a year. This caused him a lot of confusion, consternation, agitation, furious ire, and grief, driving him to attack humanity and any other Kaiju indiscriminately as to vent out all of his frustrations about the chaotic nature of this new world as well as his own insecurities of his perceived inability to save his older sibling from a fate worse than death that awaited him. The efforts by the Japanese military to prevent him from causing trouble, as well as attacks from other supergiant organisms (a.k.a. daikaiju), only aggravated him further, causing him to lash out ferociously. In the early years of his reign, Godzilla was an angry, uncontrollable berserker of a kaiju/Titan that comes ashore in both Japan and the United States of America to wreak unbelievable devastation and viciously brutalize any monster, robot, or metahuman that dared to stand in his way. Even in his later years as a calmer, more intelligent, and more thoughtful monarch, Godzilla still found it hard to adjust to the fast-changing surface world above him as he preferred to live in the abyssal marine canyons or the uninhabited Pacific and Caribbean islands where wilderness remains primordial and free, away from the prying eyes of mankind.

Godzilla's entrance into the battle or his response to any foreign and/or hostile presence is anything but inconspicuous as he opens confrontations with other kaiju by hollering out his thunderously loud, ear-shattering roars accompanied by his dorsal fins emanating an ominous shade of azure blue and a tail-lashing threat display, and is not afraid to back them up with savage violence should they fail to heed to his warnings or they deliberately ignore them to antagonize him. In battle, Godzilla is extraordinarily vicious, fighting his opponents with such brutality that most fights often end as fast as they began. He utilized both his size and sheer durability as weapons in and of themselves, utilizing the momentum built up from a short burst of terrifying speed to bulldoze his way through opponents like a living hurricane. Grappling and mauling would also figure prominently in his fighting style, smashing into opponents like a tidal wave made flesh and knocking them around like toys before pinning them down to rip them to shreds at his leisure. Godzilla is perfectly happy to trample his foes beneath his clawed feet and bludgeon them to death with a combination of kicks, stomps, and tail blows, or even pin smaller opponents beneath a clawed foot to tear them in half or crush the life out of them via constricting with his tail, if not just pulping them with a couple of direct tail blows. Godzilla does not know surrender, as will fight against his opponent until he is either victorious or dead. This is only accentuated by his battle tactics. Every part of his body was a deadly weapon, from the five rows of teeth to his muscular, prehensile tail and from his razor-sharp back spines to his concrete-rending claws. More devastating, however, was his ability to vent excessive amounts of nuclear energy, either in the form of a lethal radial pulse wave or an oral radiation beam that can burn through just about anything that isn't specifically treated to resist it. Godzilla seems most at home in the water, where he has the advantage of all-dimensional mobility and can strike from unexpected directions, but he was just as effective on land, wading through even the fiercest assaults with minimal damage and seemingly becoming stronger as whatever conflict he was involved in dragged on. In battle, he's absolutely relentless, shrugging off even grievous injuries like the Norse berserkers of old; he knows that his regeneration can handle his injuries, and as such has learned to largely disregard pain.

His extreme aggression has toned down significantly after adopting Minya or Godzilla Jr., raising him as his own son, and training him to take up his mantle, which assuaged his inner demons somewhat. Godzilla's loyalty and love for Minya, and later, Moro, and Millennium, eventually leads to him becoming the prehistoric guardian for not just Earth's natural world, but also for mankind in the process of righting nature's balance. Other monsters that respect his warnings but continue to seek him out, either to request his assistance or to challenge him to an equal fight, will eventually earn Godzilla's respect, and his natural penchant for aggression may be directed towards a constructive use in the form of "sparring" with such worthy rivals so that if a real threat emerges, he will be better prepared.

Godzilla's Roar and Expressions:

Godzilla, despite being an ancient proto-archosaurian reptile, has a surprisingly incredible auditory range of emotive sounds and a massively diverse variety of physical communicative cues that far exceed the emotive capabilities of any reptilian species, past or present. His roar would have three main phases for different communicative contexts: the primary roar is mainly the territorial dominance roar he uses in confrontations with another kaiju, which nearly every person in existence would know who its owner is almost immediately from just hearing it alone. This is the call that he lets out as he performs his threat display, which involves flashing his dorsal spines, tail thagomizers, and pseudo-stinger in an azure, ghostly light similar to Cherenkov light, pounding his tail down onto the earth with an audible noise like an artillery gun being fired, flaring open both his neck frills and small cobra-like hood, and stomping his foot incredibly hard to let the ground shake with his shockwave-like vibrations. It is also utilized when Godzilla declares victory over his fallen opponent or forces them into submission under his rule whilst serving as a warning call to anyone else to think thrice about picking a fight with him. The secondary roar is the last warning he gives to his weakened and severely injured enemies before he charges on all fours towards them with his jaws and claws ready to scratch and tear them asunder mercilessly. The tertiary roar is more akin to a communicative series of growling rumbles and moans that he uses to talk to other members of his species, especially his offspring, in a more intimate setting.

The primary roar is more high-pitched and almost trumpeting, borrowing from both the Showa-era roar and the one made for the Monsterverse. A bit of the audio from Regina's roar from Jurassic Park and an elephant's own trumpeting growls might also help a lot to bridge the gap in pitch between the two calls. The secondary roar would be considerably lower-pitched than the first, with a considerable amount of reverb to it - somewhat similar to the more guttural roar of Heisei's incarnation with the alligator, walrus, and tiger growling snarls added to it but much lower and more thunderous. The tertiary roar sounds like a combination of the serenading moans of a blue whale, the groan-like calls of male lions, and the eerie rumbling roars of a cassowary, but on a much deeper and grander scale.

While his face is not as flexible as a human's with all the nasal horns and crests, Godzilla can still make a wide range of expressions with his facial musculature being vaguely equivalent to that of a dog's or a bear's. Most of his emotive communication would be through his body language and behavioral cues like with birds and reptiles.

My take on Godzilla, including his design and profile, draws heavy inspiration and multiple references from both canon Showa, Heisei, and MonsterVerse incarnations of Godzilla as well as fanmade iterations of the character done by DeviantArt users: 105697, SkamorySilver, Lediblock2, KaijuSamurai, and Transapient.

A/N: All credit goes to the movie studios and these DeviantArt artists for inspiring this. I've been wanting to do create my take of Godzilla for a long time, and reading through my previous fanfiction works, including the Age of Titans, and looking into crossover universes created by other artists and Fanfiction writers like WolfBlade11 and Nan the Keyblade Master really helped lit the spark within me to create my own version of a crossover Godzillaverse where my Godzilla's world is the major centerpiece of this multiversal universe, influencing the fates of other worlds it is connected and merged with through the actions of Godzilla and his kaiju co-stars.

As for Age of Titans, I am going to announce it will be on an indefinite hiatus as it did accomplish in helping me figure out what I really want to do and where I could improve as a writer, but I will not be continuing it for a while as I decided to focus on starting this new Godzilla crossover universe by introducing the bio profiles and origin stories of the major Kaiju/Titan monsters, starting with the G-Man himself.

And this is to honor Godzilla's 67th anniversary as Nov. 3rd is tomorrow. It was Nov. 3rd, 1954 when he first debuted in his first solo film that kickstarted the entire Kaiju monster film subgenre of Tokusatsu media that we all know and fall in love with today. Godzilla, as a film franchise, has become the longest-running juggernaut with its total of 36 movies, which includes the four American productions, including the latest Godzilla vs. Kong of 2021. His cultural impact is quite as gigantic and powerful as the Big G himself and continues to inspire G-Fans like me to continue to write more fanfiction stories of Godzilla as a way to express my childhood love for a giant radioactive dinosaur who never stops to showcase how nature points up the folly of man!

Therefore, without much further ado...

Happy 67th Birthday, Godzilla!
