"Is this her house?" Makoto asked.

"Yup, this is it." Vector nodded. "Good ol' Syrup's house."

"I have a feeling we're walking right into a trap." Espio said.

"Yeah, I'm with you." Sae agreed.

"Look up there!" Charmy pointed out on the roof. "There's a chimney!"

Vector smirked. "That's almost too easy. Charmy, you know what to do!"

"Oh yeah!" Charmy smirked as Espio and Vector got into position as Charmy picked up Espio and lifted him up, and then Vector grabbed onto Espio's legs as they flew up to the roof.

"HUH?!" Makoto and Phoenix yelled in surprise.

"What? Never seen a bee lift a chameleon and crocodile before?" Sae casually asked with a smile. "Come on, let's go." She said, guiding the two of them a different way.

Team Chaotix landed on the roof as Espio immediately camouflaged and then hopped into the chimney, falling into it flawlessly. Vector climbed in next and started going inside… but was stuck and his tail and legs were sticking out. "Uh oh…" Vector whispered.

"Well… glad I brought the plunger." Charmy said, pulling it out and slapped it on the chimney, proceeding to pump… and as he did, he spotted 5-Volt walking by with groceries and noticed Charmy with the plunger.

"What on…?" 5-Volt wondered.

"Don't mind me, ma'am! Just trying to get some dust bunnies out of here!"

5-Volt sweatdropped. "Ooookay, suit yourself." She said as she walked off. "The oddities in this town… they're getting weirder by the second…"

Espio landed on the ground and slowly exited the fireplace, slowly surveying the room as he would spot Syrup casually reading a book on a chair. This is too easy. He thought as he slowly approached the chair and then noticed some trip wire connected to the chair. He immediately pulled out a kunai and accurately threw it at the trip wire, cutting it which activated the trap… which was a fuse appearing above Syrup's head and lit up… where it would explode shortly after.

Immediately, Espio brought out shurikens and threw them at all the trip wires, consisting of axes swinging down, a log swinging down and embedding itself in the wall, a bear trap springing up from the floor, a shotgun coming out of the ceiling and shooting at the front door, a bucket splashed on the floor full of hot tar and feathers rained down on top of the tar, the couch had spikes shooting out of the cushions, a wall opened up and poison arrows hit a lamp… and finally, a birthday cake landed on the kitchen table which exploded into a chocolatey mess and covered all the kitchen walls.

She was well prepared… Espio thought to himself as he heard footsteps shorting after as he turned his head to see Syrup walking out of her room and seeing the mess in front of her.

"Hmm…" Syrup narrowed her eyes as she pulled out her pistol and approached the mess. "I don't know who you are but you sprung all my traps. Clever, but you're not clever enough." She said, slowly walking forward.

She immediately stopped walking and with a smirk, she turned around and pulled the trigger, only she shot at the wall instead… and then a kunai was placed behind her neck with Espio deactivating the camoflauge. "Don't move."

"Ah, a ninja… how unique." Syrup smirked as she elbowed Espio in the gut and then turned around to aim at Espio, only he would throw a kunai into the barrel, causing the gun to explode. "Nnnngh!" She grunted as she tossed it to the side as she pulled out her scimitar and slashed at Espio but he blocked with another kunai.

Espio parried her, but she would swiftly kick him in the shin to knock him on his knee but Espio would roll back and then jumped over, throwing shurikens at her where she would block these easily and then lunged at Espio, swinging her scimitar but he ducked and quickly sweep kicked her to knock her to the groud but she caught herself with her hand and flipped herself back up.

THUD!

"Hmm?" Syrup turned her head.

"RAAAAAAH!" Vector had already leapt into the air and swung his arms down, forcing Syrup to backflip to avoid the attack… only for Charmy to come in and kicked her in the head from the side. Syrup slid back and found herself surrounded by Team Chaotix. She let out a simple chuckle and did a 'come at me' gesture where the trio lunged at her and tackled her to the ground… and it resulted in a fighting dust cloud.

Syrup snuck out of the fighting dust cloud, dusting off her shoulders and chuckled. She backed away slowly… and then felt two hands on her shoulders as she turned around to see Makoto and Phoenix. "Syrup, we need you to come with us." Makoto said, pulling out some handcuffs and handcuffed her… only Makoto found himself cuffed to Phoenix.

"Wha?!" Both of them said in surprise as Syrup chuckled, heading out of the front door.

"You make it too easy. Ta ta~!" She said, opening up the door… and got a face full of Paralysis Dust to the chest. "Hgrrrkgrrrk!" She grunted, falling on her back as Sae walked up to her.

"Captain Syrup… you are under arrest." Sae said, handcuffing the pirate.

"Heh… you flatter me." Syrup smirked as Sae pulled Syrup to the side while she freed the men and turned to the fighting dust cloud.

"Ahem!" She cleared her throat, ending the fight as Team Chaotix found themselves with a kunai nearly embeddinng Vector's throat, Vector nearly chomping Espio while almost strangling Charmy… while Charmy had the plunger on Espio's head.

"…Awkward…" All three of them said.

Syrup let out a chuckle. "Oh dear, it seems you have caught me. Now what are you going to do?"

"Take you in. We have some questions for you." Makoto said.

Syrup's smirk never faded. "Lead the way then." She said smugly, which was enough to unnerve Sae a bit.

What are you up to… She thought to herself.

With MAJC…

"So we go from a crystal cave to a large tower?" Camrin asked as they stared at the tower before them.

"Looks like it." Anthony nodded.

"When there's a tower… there's definitely lots of treasure there!" Mona's eyes sparkled. "So let's do this!"

Anthony chuckled. "Right. Let's move!"

BGM: Underground Theme - Super Mario Land (Super Smash Bros Brawl/Wii U/Ultimate)

As soon as they entered the tower, they would immediately be greeted by a few Broom Hatters going about their day, and then saw a platform they could climb up… or in Jen's case, she shot a wall with Earth bullets to create platforms for them as they hopped up on the platforms and saw a hallway filled with springs and Shotzos that were currently aiming at them.

"Wow, talk about an intense security system." Chloe siad as the Shotzos fired their cannonballs… but the cannonballs were slowly moving so they casually walked around them while Mona picked one up.

"Cool." She said as she walked to a Shotzo and stuffed it inside of the cannon. "Think you lost this!" She said as she walked off, and then said cannonball exploded inside the Shotzo, rendering it useless.

They would then find a few food items whe they used the springs. Maxim Tomatoes, fudgecicles, Pep Brew, some doughnuts… and a platform that contained a door. They would immediately go inside the door and found several Star Blocks in a room where they would destroy them and not only freed a treasure chest, but two Gordos as well.

"Wah!" Mona yelped. "Where did they come from?!"

"Ah, I wouldn't worry about them. Those things are useless." Jen said. "After all, they're only good for just being ordinary obstacles you can easily get through. They're nothing of value and add nothing to the scenery. They'd be better off being non-existent."

One of the Gordos turned toward Jen… and looked down at the ground with a sad face. "I think you just hurt its pride." Camrin said.

"I'm not wrong though. They're not that much of a threat."

Poor thing… Zoey thought as they opened up the chest.

"Oooh, pretty!" Chloe grinned, picking up a tiara. "It's so cute!" She giggled, putting it on her head. "How do I look~?"

"You look pretty cute… princess." Camrin teased.

"Oh, you would." Chloe rolled her eyes as she took it off and tossed it to Mona who greedily grabbed it.

"Precious~!" She giggled.

They walked out of the room and hopped down, and then noticed a ledge near them as they curiously walked over and hopped down, finding another door where they would notice a hammer peg, which prompted Jen to shoot ice into the air and then manipulated the ice to form an anvil which caused it to fall onto the peg and crushed it, opening the path for them below.

"Nice!" Anthony grinned as they went inside the other door and went down two elevators before making it into the next area, dodging a few Burning Leos as they went into the next room where they would encounter a Martial Artist named Jukid.

"Looks like he's a martial artist." Camrin said.

"I'll handle this one." Zoey said as she approached Jukid, and then the two lunged at each other where Jukid used a Palm Strike, but Zoey would roll out of the way as she delivered a strong kick to his face to knock him back, and then delivered a right and a left hook followed by an uppercut.

As they were fighting, Anthony would glance over at a treasure chest nearby. "Hello there, my darling…" He said as he walked over to it and then opened it up, revealing a Koopa Shell. He tilted his head curiously before having an idea as he set it down and kicked the Koopa Shell toward Jukid right as Zoey backflipped from a Palm Strike, and then the Koopa Shell went past her and smacked into Jukid's gut, making him fall on the ground in defeat.

"Huh, not what I was expecting, but I'll take it." Zoey said.

"Thought you could use a helping hand." Anthony chuckled, picking up the Koopa Shell. "Might use this for a bit."

"Let's go!" Mona grinned as they walked to the next area where they would find themselves climbing into a pool area and noticed a cannon, and spotted a fuse in the water.

"Can it be done…?" Jen wondered as she swam to the bottom of the pool and shot a fire bullet for science-y purposes, and to her surprise, the fuse was lit. Huh, so fireballs work underwater in the Mushroom Kingdom AND Popstar… She thought as she swam up… and noticed Mona hopping into the cannon while equipping the Koopa Shell as a makeshift helmet.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Camrin asked.

"These things are hard! They can take some punishment!" Mona said as she went inside as the cannon aimed and launched her, destroying a wall as she smacked right into the ceiling… and the Koopa Shell shattered. "Ack! Okay, maybe not too much punishment." She sweatdropped.

"Welp, that's gonna cost us something." Chloe said.

"Eh, it's just a Koopa Shell. Probably wasn't worth much." Camrin shrugged it off as they would find a treasure chest where Zoey opened it up and stared at the treasure inside, letting out a breath as she slowly pulled out a sword.

"I can only do so much with just a cattle prod…" She said and then brought the blade close to her face, closing her eyes and then opening them with a determined look. "Now it's time I start getting serious."

"Have you ever used a sword before?" Camrin asked.

Zoey smiled. "Back when I was in the Atlas Military, I preferred using the sword instead of their other weapons. Ninja-like reflexes with a sword strapped to my back? It's how I got things done… now here I am, a maid who is in charge of watching over you two." She said, referring to Camrin and Chloe.

"Do you ever want to go back as a soldier?" Chloe curiously asked.

"No. I'm perfectly happy being your maid, mistress Chloe. Personally, I prefer living the quiet life and treasure hunting with you. It's much more exciting." She said, winking at her.

Chloe giggled. "Yeah, I figured you'd say that." She happily hugged her where Camrin jumped in to hug her as well. Zoey would return the hug and kissed them both on the forehead before they all walked back into another room, finding themselves in a current where they were surrounded by Gordos, but not before Zoey picked up a treasure chest on the way by as they surfaced at the other end.

"What ya got?" Jen asked as Zoey opened up the chest and with a sparkling smile, she pulled out a shield.

"Allow me to be your shield." She told the siblings, equipping the Warrior Shield.

"You're already our shield to begin with." Chloe teased.

"Yes, but with this, even I'm protected." Zoey smiled and then they started heading back, and backtracked all the way to the beginning of the tower where they walked toward the right this time and climbed the ladders while ignoring the Waddle Dees and Waddle Doos, heading into the next room while dodging a Sir Kibble throwing a blade at them.

In the next area, they would climb some stairs while also avoiding exploding coconuts falling from the ceiling, which knocked out some unfortunate Simirrors down. Once they reached the top, Zoey spotted a bomb block and thrust her new sword into it, opening up a passage as they hopped down and saw several Shotzos firing at them, but Zoey would block with her shield.

"Don't think so." Zoey said as she moved her way forward, dropping down and climbing over a ledge with the cannonballs not doing much to the shield as she immediately picked up the treasure chest and made her way back.

"What'd you find?" Anthony asked after Zoey pulled it out of the chest.

"Looks like a horn." Jen mused.

"Ooooh, it's all glittery!" Mona said. "Must be from a very glittery rhinoceros!"

"I doubt those exist." Jen said.

"We're in a different world. I'm sure they exist somewhere." Mona grinned.

"Has she never heard of unicorns?" Chloe whispered to her brother.

"Apparently not."

They went into the next area where they would arrive on a bridge… only to see a KO'd Bonkers lying on the ground with two treasure chests next to him, one already opened. "Oh, I don't like the looks of that." Jen said as they approached the chest.

"We have caught up to you. The hunt continues. You can take the other treasure. It is only a replica and doesn't do anything. Believe me, I've tried it out myself. - Daroach."

"What did we get?" Jen asked as Mona opened it up.

"Ooooh! It's a shiny tennis racket!" She said, pulling out a Three Star Cane replica. "…Wait, why is there glitter… augh! It's only fools gold…" She mumbled, anime tears running down her cheeks.

"There there, it'll be okay." Anthony said, patting her on the back as they walked into the next room, but not before Chloe dragging Bonkers off of the bridge and patted him on the head with a smile before taking off to rejoin the others as they hopped down into a small hole and found a treasure chest where Jen opened it up.

"Oh… that's disappointing." She said, pulling out a broken rice bowl. "It's chipped."

"Hmm, maybe I can work with that." Zoey said.

Zoey gingerly took it. "Yeah, I can definitely work with this." She said. "Just because it's chipped doesn't mean-" More pieces fell off until there was only one shard remaining on her palm. "-Never mind."

They would continue on, spotting a Waddle Doo happily walking around with a parasol and wandered into the next room where they would walk on the ground but it would soon crumble underneath them and revealed lava. Zoey instinctively pushed them to safety before they fell into the fiery depths.

"Phew, nice save!" Camrin smiled as they went down a ladder and found a note on the bottom while an open chest was surrounded by the lava.

"Tut tut. You just missed us snatching King Tutankhamun's mask. - Daroach."

"Uh… who's King Tut… what's his bucket?" Mona asked.

"Probably the last king of Dreamland before Dedede took over. That's my guess anyway." Camrin shrugged.

"Oh cool!" Mona grinned as they took off while dodging the crumbling floors as they made it to the next area, finding themselves outside where they would start climbing the tower while Mona picked up a Walky. "Cool, a walking microphone! Testing, testing, one two three! La la la-" The Walky kicked Mona on the gut and walked up with a "hmph!".

"Yeesh… tough crowd." Mona mumbled as they walked into a room where the wind was blowing and they saw several Squeakers snuggled together and fast asleep, and noticed several Noddy statues scattered around with the treasure in front of them.

"I have a feeling those statues mean trouble." Camrin said as he ran ahead, dodging the Noddy's and then once he got close, he grabbed the chest and made his way back. "And that's how you do it." He said, opening it up and pulling out a Mr. Saturn. "Huh?"

"Freedom, ZOOM!"

They would head back and then would start climbing the tower, jumping on moving platforms while a few Simirrors, Gators and Bio Sparks went about their day as Mona would spot a treasure chest on a ledge, where she hopped over and crawled through, opening up the chest and pulling out armor.

"Ooooh! This will go well with my brass knuckles!" She beamed, putting the armor on.

"Yeah, that's more like it~!" Mona grinned as she rejoined the others, but didn't see Camrin and Anthony going into a room, bouncing on springs and landing in a small pathway where a treasure chest awaited them, but when they opened it up… they were both confused.

"A treasure box? …In a treasure chest?" Camrin raised an eyebrow as he opened it up but it contained nothing, giving Anthony an idea.

"Let's give it to those Squeaks. Make them think they got something out of it."

"Good idea." Camrin nodded as they hopped down as Anthony tossed the Treasure Box toward the Squeakers before they hopped down. The Squeakers chirped in delight and picked it up happily.

At the Observatory…

"Oh, Anthony-chan… that was a bad call." Ibuki grimaced.

Back with MAJC…

"Achoo!" Anthony sneezed.

"Bless you."

They would continue climbing as they would find a treasure chest out in the open, and as Zoey reached for it, a claw hand grabbed it as well and yanked it from them.

"Ah ah ah, this one's mine!" Doc said.

"We'll fight ya for it!" Jen said as they got ready to fight.

"Oh, is that right? Hmhmhmhm… very well then, I accept your duel!"

BGM: Midboss (Kirby Squeak Squad)

U. F. S: Unidentified Flying Squeak - Doc

Doc paused, looking at the boss title and then looked at the screen. "Really? That's what you went with?"

Anthony jumped into the air, swinging his Dust Staff as a wall of fire hit him but Doc was able to withstand it and then fired lasers at them all. Camrin would get a running start and wall jumped off, hitting Doc's UFO with his rope spear.

"Hmph!" Doc would start shooting out sparks like what UFO Kirby tends to do when he's not charging up a laser, but Zoey was able to block this with her shield while Jen would shoot at him with ice and fire. "Hahahaha!" He laughed, protecting himself with a shield. "There's nothing you can do to break this!"

Mona had an idea. "Camrin! Give me that weird nosey zoomy thing!" She said.

"What good will that do?"

"I have no idea, but it's an idea!" She said as Camrin pulled out the Mr. Saturn and threw it at her, which she caught it, pulled back her arm and threw the Mr. Saturn at Doc, hitting the shield.

"Pah! That did absolutely noth-" The shield shattered. "WHAT?!" He yelled as Mr. Saturn safely landed on Camrin's hands.

"Wow! I didn't think that'd work." Mona said as Jen fired a few electric bullets into the air where two lightning bolts struck Doc's UFO, which overloaded its systems and caused it to explode, sending Doc flying and fell to the ground.

"Oooof!"

"Zoom!" The Mr. Saturn said nonchalantly.

"Heh, zoom indeed." Camrin said, putting the Mr. Saturn away as they opened up the treasure chest and pulled out Machine Part Y.

"Ah, cool! Not sure what this is… but we'll take it." Chloe said.

They would continue climbing until they reached the top of the area, Zoey immediately checking out the left room where she picked up a treasure chest inside and walked out with a mannequin in her hands.

"A mannequin? Really?" Jen raised an eyebrow.

"Could be useful. You never know." Zoey shrugged.

They headed towards the right door, where they would go into another room where they climbed up some ladders and spotted a Simirror and a Bio Spark dueling as they would see a path way that had been opened up. They hopped down into the water way and swam about where they popped up at the other end and walked into another room.

Once they started climbing up while ignoring a sleeping Grizzo and a few Bio Sparks, they would see a note on the ground and a treasure chest that was opened down below in the water.

"The crown is ours for the taking! - Daroach."

Gold Crown obtained by the Squeaks! - 528,000 G

"Ah, it's no big deal, we already have a cute tiara." Mona smiled as they went into the next room… only to discover another treasure chest opened up with a KO'd Laser Ball.

"King me. - Daroach."

"They're being aggressive all of a sudden." Mona said.

"We're going against seasoned treasure hunters. I wouldn't put it past them." Anthony chuckled as they worked their way back as they would soon find themselves in a cannon room where they would shoot off and split up in two dark rooms that were to be climbed up. Anthony, Jen and Mona taking the right and Camrin, Chloe and Zoey taking the left.

However, after dodging some Gators, Twizzys and Grizzos, both teams would come across two empty treasure chests.

"I'd say you're in a sinking ship. - Daroach"

"Ouch!" Ibuki winced, grimacing at her phone.

"Ibuki, are you coming?" Rosalina called out.

"Empty handed on your end?" Anthony asked once they reunited.

"Yup." Zoey nodded.

"Eh, I don't think it's all that bad." Anthony shrugged as they walked ahead.

As they walked through the final segment of the tower, Chloe glanced around and narrowed her eyes. "Hmm…" She hummed suspiciously.

"What's up?" Camrin asked.

"You ever have that feeling you're being watched?" Chloe asked.

"Now that you've mentioned it…" Anthony pulled out his staff as everyone got in their battle stances… and then a red chameleon popped up in front of them.

"There it is!" Jen said as they got ready to fight it.

BGM: Oncoming Peril (Kirby: Squeak Squad)

Pallette Lizard - Chameleo Arm

The Chameleo Arm would roll toward the group, attempting to scratch them with its hands in the process but they would dodge it as Zoey would rush toward it and slashed it with her sword while Mona jumped in to punch it, but the Chameleo Arm would grab Mona with his tongue and gobbled her up before he spat her out, and then he camouflaged.

"Hmm…" Chloe pulled out her Power Paintbrush and swung her arm, hoping to splash him with paint… but instead, she drew lines. "What the?!" She said in surprise as the Chameleo Arm smacked into the line and got out of the camouflage. "Hmmm…" She hummed as she ran arounnd the Chameleo Arm, using the Power Paintbrush to draw a circle around the creature. It tilted its head as it tried to move out but found himself stuck while Camrin whipped him with his whip and Jen shooting at it.

Chloe would get close to the Chameleo Arm and swung her paintbrush, lathering him up in paint and jumping back, deciding to paint the ground where she would see it as a liquid. On a surface, it becomes actual paint, in the air… it's a platform. She then smirked. Ah, I get it! She thought as the prison that held Chameleo Arm disappeared as it rolled toward Chloe where she was painting the ground, then she took a step to the side as the Chameleo Arm slid on the paint and crashed into a wall.

The Chameleo Arm got back up and camouflaged, unaware that the paint had made him visible, which had given Anthony time to swing his staff, hitting him with ice dust that would slow him down with Jen shooting ice bullets at him.

The Chameleo Arm shivered, sneezing a little bit as it turned around and lunged at them, but Mona would slug him right in the gut with her brass knuckles. "You liked eating me? Here's a knuckle sandwich!" She exclaimed, using an uppercut to knock him into the air where Chloe made a few platforms with her brush as she made another line to catch the Chameleo Arm and then painted all around him… and then with a flick of the wrist, the paint exploded on him as Chameleo Arm had fallen to the ground with stars circling above his head, defeated.

"Nice one, sis!" Camrin praised.

"Perks of having a steady hand." Chloe said, putting it away and jumping off. "Shall we?"

"Let's go." Anthony smiled as they took off.

Meanwhile, in an interrogation room in Remnant…

BGM: Interrogation Room (Persona 5)

"Now don't you think this is a bit silly?" Syrup asked, casually sitting at the table. "Personally, I'd say MAJC should be the one being interrogated. I'm just a victim."

"Oh, is that right?" Makoto asked. "Because from what I've gathered, you've framed them."

"And how would you know that? Ooooh, wait, you're with that fancy detective business that showed up in Remnant a few months ago, never did anything special until that Blorb pandemic happened. Future Foundation, was it? How can call yourselves the good guys if you just so happened to work with the big bad Bowser? Definitely not a good look, if you ask me."

"He's actually not that bad of a guy." Makoto defended. "Kiri can attest to that."

"And where is your Kiri friend now, hmm? She's probably got her hands full with something else. All that Phazon probably corrupted the girl… heh, it's what happens when she sides with Bowser. That Phazon is probably eating at her brain right now and is slowly killing her. It's what happens when you try to investigate me. I'd say it's good karma."

"Don't you DARE talk about Kiri like that!" Makoto said, slamming his hands on the table and giving her a harsh glare.

"Oh, did I strike a nerve?" Syrup smirked. "Is she your sister? Your best friend?" Her eyes widened before chuckling. "Or, If I didn't know any better, I'd say you two are dating and keeping it on the down low~"

"That's confidential! The two of us have a professional relationship and nothing more."

Syrup folded her arms. "Well, if it helps you sleep at night, I'm not one to judge."

Meanwhile, somewhere with Kyoko…

Kyoko stopped walking, turning her head slightly. "I don't know why, but I have the sudden urge to smack someone senseless right now." She said before slightly shrugging and walked off.

Back in the interrogation room…

"Just let me ask you one thing." Makoto asked. "Is it true that you've wrongly accused MAJC?"

"Now why would I do a silly thing like that? They assaulted me, a poor woman who was going about her day when they came out of nowhere. MAJC is nothing more than a cult, if you ask me… and quite honestly, teams RWBY, JNPR, JINX, ATMC and whatever else… they all sound like cult names if you ask me. Don't get me started on this band name… what was it again, Sea5ons? Definitely sounds like a cult."

"Leave them out of this." Makoto narrowed his eyes.

"Whatever. You're not getting a peep out of me, kiddo."

"But we did get a confessional out of someone. Does Wario ring any bells?" Makoto smirked. "He told Team Chaotix everything."

"You're lying. Wario would never-" Syrup would see Makoto's smirk never fading, causing her to scowl. "Typical. Of course he would blab his mouth open." She mumbled.

"Just tell us the truth." Makoto still smirked.

"Fine, you want the truth?" Syrup smirked. "Yes, I framed Team MAJC. While it is true they assaulted me, stole Wario's car and stole from me… truth be told, I did this whole entire operation. I baited Wario and his pathetic brother into opening this vault into a dimension known as the Shake Dimension. What I didn't account for was Team JINX showing up along with this Sarge guy, a weird kid named Umber, and of course, Team MAJC. However, I used them to my advantage. I'd just sit back and watch it all unfold while they take all the treasure from the Shake King, including the Endless Coin Sack.

Once he was defeated and everyone was freed, next thing we know… Bowser shows up and he and Nyx have a battle with the Wario Bros. It was the perfect opportunity for me to steal the sack while everyone else went to go steal some stupid deed that Wario had under his belt."

"So you stole this sack that Wario took."

"Bingo. Of course, I didn't take into account that MAJC would come right after me. I guess I underestimated that girl's love for shiny things. Yeah, they did commit Grand Theft Auto, assault and battery and theft because they took the sack away from me."

"With an endess sack of coins, you'd wreck the entire economy. Are you actually willing to do that?"

"Oh, I might wreck a few economies just for the heck of it… but nothing too serious." Syrup said.

"So what I'm hearing is, MAJC, at that particular moment, became Robin Hood without realizing it. Safely storing it away back in its dimension." Makoto guessed. "And you became a sour puss over it, so you decided to frame them."

"I should've framed JINX, Umber and Sarge when I was at it. Guilty by association, ya know? I mean, heh, it took me this long to actually find MAJC. I snuck into the Atlas Military, forged some paperwork and became the top commander of a squad and convinced a few gullible soldiers to join me on my hunt to exterminate MAJC. All I needed was a little push… how do you think they were found out at Vacuo? One of them was dumb enough to make a call to Atlas about some stupid family."

"You traced the call…" Makoto said gravely, putting his hand over his mouth.

"Indeed. We found them in a cave and while they did get away, one Atleasian Ship is making their way to wherever they went. They're probably shot dead by now… after all, I gave the order to hunt them down dead or alive."

Makoto smiled. "I have faith… no… hope… that those guys are alright."

"Pfft, blind hope can only get you so far." Syrup mocked.

"But you know what? You've confessed all of your crimes."

"So what? I'm a pirate. Crime is what we do." Syrup smiled. "And if you think you've won… you're wrong. I have the upper hand. In fact, I have an attorney who will get me out of this nonsense."

"You have an attorney?"

"That's right, I have him wrapped over my thumb~ I'll be free as a bird and I'll watch the Future Foundation crumble over this embarrassing failure."

"Show me your attorney then. I'm not scared." Makoto said.

"Oh, very poor choice of words." Syrup smirked as the door opened as Makoto turned around, and behind the glass, Sae, Team Chaotix and Phoenix all gasped in shock.

"Oh no…" Phoenix said.

"Oh… this… just got complicated." Sae grimaced as a man walked into the room, wearing a red suit and having silver hair.

"Makoto, was it?" Syrup smirked. "I'd like you to meet my attorney. Miles Edgeworth."

"My client has requested that you let her go." Miles said as Makoto took a deep breath and released Syrup.

"Thank you very much~" Syrup said and then walked off with a smile. "See you in court, cutie~" She said and walked off.

"Hope you're ready." Edgeworth told him.

Makoto smirked. "Mr. Edgeworth… there's something you need to hear." He said, pulling out a recorder from his pocket.

Ibuki: *cackling* Ooooh, she screwed up!

Yup. So anyway... bad news, the snow storm that came through delayed the mail system so I didn't get Metroid Dread today. In "Adding insult to injury" news, I tracked it down and wondered where it stopped just in case they had to stop because of the storm. It arrived in a carrier facility in my town at 10:53 AM... right after the mail trucks started delivering the mail. So it's sitting there in town... taunting me! The good news is that i'll be playing it tomorrow!
