"We are approaching the station."
The group would see a large station in front of them, orbiting the planet SR-388. A hatch opened up atthe docking bay as the ship would fly inside the bay, coming to a gentle stop.
"As you are aware, there has been an explosion. You might be wondering where it's at. The explosion happened right at the Quarantine Bay. The bay currently stores capsules containing recent samples from SR-388 as well as parts of your suit infected by the X-Parasites. The cause of the explosion is as yet unclear. Investigate."
With a nod, Samus and the others would walk out of the ship. "Hey, robot." The AI said, catching ROB's attention as he turned his head. "I need a favor."
"Boop?" ROB wondered and then moved over to the front of the ship with curiosity.
"You feeling alright?" Blake asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine… although something about this place… I hate to admit it but…" Samus stopped herself. "No, forget about it. It's not important."
Rosalina tilted her head. "Are you sure?"
"Yes." She insisted as Pikachu jumped onto her shoulder, his ears a bit lowered and looking a bit concerned for her. "Don't worry, little buddy… I'm gonna be okay." She said, scratching his ears and making him smile, then they saw ROB approaching them.
"There you are. What took you so long?" Blake asked.
"Boop boop…" ROB said, moving his hand to his head as if he was sheepishly scratching the side of it… and then his eyes turned purple.
"I thought I could use the mobility."
"What the…?!" Blake said in surprise. "You had him download you inside of him?"
"It's better than sitting around and doing nothing."
Samus sweatdropped. "If you say so…"
"Pika Pika…"
"Now then…" A map popped up in front of ROB, causing them all to look at it. "The Quarantine Bay is right here. I advise that you all need to move quickly and quietly, especailly you Samus. As you are aware, due to your surgery, you have lost most of your abilities that you are used to. Don't forget that."
"Right…"
"There is a Navigation Room up ahead where you can download your HUD in your visors."
"Convenient." Blake said.
"Now, move out." It ordered as ROB's eyes went back to normal, causing him to let out a groan before shaking his head.
"Definitely not used to your body being taken over, huh?" Rosalina asked as ROB nodded. "Let's hope it doesn't happen too often."
"Let's move." Samus said as Blake activated her armor as they walked out of the bay.
BGM: Landing Aboard the BSL Station (Metroid Fusion)
As they moved forward, the group was immediately at the ready, weapons (If you can count Rosalina's wand as a weapon) drawn with Samus having her arm cannon locked and loaded as they cautiously moved, opening a door where they walked into a new room and started climbing on platforms.
Samus would then spot a red door, instinctively knowing that she can blast it sky high with missiles as she aimed her arm cannon and started to fire a missile.

"…Right." Samus said. "No missiles."
"Hmm, you're so used to your abilities that you pretty much took them for granted." Rosalina pointed out.
"I never thought I would need to worry about losing them." Samus said as they turned around and kept climbing before going into another door, entering the main deck as they would look outside and see the vacuum of space, also seeing the many stars sparkling in the darkness of space, something that Blake and Rosalina couldn't help but admire as they went into the next door.
"Let's hope this is the Navigation Room." Samus said as they went through another door and found themselves in… the Navigation Room. "Perfect." She said as she and Blake stepped forward on a panel, where their visors were immediately upgraded.
Samus would immediately see her HUD opening up, seeing how much energy she had before the Fusion Suit would break off of her, and a map appeared in the top right corner of her eyesight, not to mention on the bottom left, it had her teammates with her and up top showed how many missiles and Power Bombs she had, which was pretty much zero.
What annoyed her though… was that her energy was straight up 99 health. Wonderful… She sarcastically thought to herself, making a mental note to snag some energy tanks in the facility… if there are any.
As for Blake, the map appeared on the upper right corner but she would notice that, instead of energy, it said Aura, seeing that she was at full strength and also showed in the bottom left, it showed the health of her teammates.
Cool! Blake thought.
ROB's eyes turned purple again. "Now then, the Quarantine Bay is up ahead. Bio-signs are confirmed, so be careful." The AI warned before shutting off, causing ROB to shake his head and rubbed his head as they walked to the other side of the Navigation room and opened up the other door.

BGM: Environmental Tension (Metroid Fusion)
However, as they walked through, they would notice the place was a lot darker than normal, but it wasn't any problem for Blake as she walked through and guided them, climbing up a few platforms when Samus immediately spotted a small crawl space, so she went into her Morph Ball and rolled through.
…Or at least, that's how it happened in her head.
"You're kidding, right?" Blake asked as they witnessed Samus struggling to go into her Morph Ball.
"Sammy, you're completely nimble and yet, you can't go into your Morph Ball?" Rosalina asked.
"Of all the things to be taken… away from… hrrrgh… me! Why this!" She complained before sighing. "Alright, I guess I'm doing this the old fashioned way." She said as she deactivated her armor and decided to crawl through… only it was a bit tighter than she thought, finding herself getting stuck as her butt and legs were hanging outside, and her chest wasn't making it easy for her either. She could just hear Ridley laughing at her while Blake and Rosalina pulled her out.
"Pika!" Pikachu crawled through, happily going inside and finding something that caught his attention. "Pika Ka?" He wondered, grabbing it and pushing it out of the crawlspace before rejoining the others. "Pika!"
"Missiles!" Samus said happily, patting Pikachu's head as she went back into her armor and opened up the capsule to load up the missiles… but they weren't going in. "…Huh?"
"Your suit isn't capable of storing missiles yet." The AI took over ROB's body. "So unfortunately, these are duds… so far."
"Fan-freakin-tastic…" Samus mumbled as Rosalina took the missiles and stored them in a small void she opened up and then they kept walking while ROB was looking mighty annoyed that the AI was taking control of his body any time it pleased.
They kept climbing until they got through a door, finding the area in disarray, forcing them to be on their guard as they found another crawl space that taunted Samus as they decided to drop down and go inside a room, immediately walking into the Quarantine Bay where they found it in complete disrepair… and on top of that, there were a few Hornoads jumping around, spotting the group as they roared at them.
"Light 'em up." Samus ordered as they proceeded to destroy them on sight, causing the Hornoads to evaporate as the X-Parasites floated about and lunged at the group, as Rosalina set up a forcefield to block entry for the Parasites to latch onto them, but one managed to get around and latched onto Samus. "Mmmph!" She grunted in surprise… but found herself feeling no ill effects. "Huh?" She wondered as Rosalina would destroy the rest of the X-Parasites in a mini black hole.
"You okay?" Blake asked.
"I… feel okay. I don't feel like I'm about to die." Samus said.
"This is unfortunate news…" The AI spoke up, much to ROB's dismay. "The specimens brought back by the field team were infected by the X-Parasites. The X can mimic its prey; any specimen could have hosted it. Before the explosion, a security sensor scanned one… the gelatinous X parasites invade and rapidly reproduce, killing the host creature."
A chill went up Samus's spine, recalling being unwittingly infected by the X-Parasite from that drooling Hornoad… the reproducing parasite that almost killed her.
"They also absorb DNA and use it to mimic the host." The AI continued.
"Wait… so does that mean the X-Parasite is out there, using Samus's body?" Blake wondered.
"I don't think so… the Metroid vaccine killed off the X-Parasite inside of her." Rosalina said. "Although, I can't help but wonder…"
Samus could picture it now… encountering her own suit wandering around and proceeding to destroy them all. Her heart raced thinking about it as a bead of sweat rolled down her forehead.
"Perhaps… but I cannot be for certain." The AI responded. "Samus, you were almost killed by an X infection. Only the Metroid vaccine saved your life. It seemed Metroids were the main predators of the X. That's why the vaccine worked so quickly and so well. But… it has also changed your cellular makeup. You will never be infected by the X again…"
"That's a relief…" Samus said. "…Wait, does that mean I'm part Metroid now?"
"Yes."
Samus sighed. "I'm a human/Chozo/Metroid hybrid now… fantastic."
"Do not feel bad. This proves beneficial. You see, now that you are part Metroid, you can now absorb any free floating X-Parasites without a host by merely touching them. This will allow you to replenish health and restore weapons."
"…How can it restore weapons?" Blake wondered.
"For some reason, creatures that I destroy somehow drop missiles or health packs for me to pick up." Samus explained. "I'm not sure how it works, but if it means free health or weapons, I'm not complaining."
If only Grimm can do something like that. Blake thought.
"You might also restore your abilities this way, so absorb as many as you can. You might just go back to your full capabilities."
"That might just be possible." Samus nodded.
"This station is home to many species… some violent ones. We must keep the X out of the breeding environments at all costs. This is vital." The AI opened up a map. "I am detecting mass biosigns in this area right over here. The X are currently gathering there. This may be our chance to exterminate them, but… Samus, you're currently at 10% battle capacity. Your chance of survival is extremely low. I know you have help with you, but they cannot absorb the X-Parasite unlike you… you must do everything to protect them, even if they are capable of defending themselves. The Federation needs you alive and well, Samus…"
"I'm well aware of that." Samus nodded as ROB's body moved over to a device on a wall and hooked himself up before pulling away a few seconds later.
"There, I've opened up the level zero hatches. You'll be able to recognize them by their blinking. Look for those." The AI ordered before ROB's eyes went back to normal.
"Boop boop…" ROB booped in annoyance as they headed off.

BGM: Facing a Huge Reaction (Metroid Fusion)
They would start climbing up the corridors, going through a new area as they would continue to climb until reached a blinking hatch. "This must be it." Samus said as they opened it up and stepped inside, taking out a lonely Hornoad that was in the hallway as they went through the next room, climbing up on platforms where they would see an X Biomass, known as Geron, blocking the way to a door.
Samus immediately shot at it, but to no avail as Blake would fire a few lasers as would ROB and Rosalina, but it remained resilient, even if Pikachu would use a Thunderbolt on it. "Hmm…" Samus mused. "Let's come back to this later…" She said as they continued up… and encountered a strange zombie-like creature, wearing BSL shirts.
"Yah! What the hell?!" Blake said in disgust.
"I got it." Samus said, attempting to charge up her shots with the Charge Beam… but it didn't charge anything at all. "…You gotta be-" She groaned and turned to Rosalina. "Rosie, hand me a missile. I'm gonna shove it in its mouth."
"I… highly advise that you don't. Too risky. I'm not sure if your suit is capable of withstanding point blank missile explosions." Rosalina insisted.
"I'll be fine… but if you insist…" She sighed as she started shooting at the creature with miniature plasma shots, as her teammates would help out and destroyed it as an X-Parasite popped out and went straight for Samus, only for her to harmlessly absorb it, then they went onward.
"I have received news from HQ." The AI said, once again taking over ROB's body. "They can support you with downloadable weapons data. Once you have this data, you can use your missiles. It will definitely help against some enemies that your beam can't do on its own. Head to the data room for download" The map popped up in front of ROB. "The station is right there. Once you get your missiles, your chance of survival will climb to 20%…"
"Better than nothing. Let's move." Samus said as the AI turned off as they moved ahead as they found themselves an elevator and went up.
Pause BGM
"So… this is quite the turnout, isn't it?" Rosalina spoke up.
"Yeah, it is." Blake nodded.
"Pika." Pikachu agreed.
"That AI that's controlling you…" Samus turned to ROB. "How do you feel?"
"Boop bop…" ROB booped lowly.
"I figured as much." Samus said as they continued to go up the elevator, with the bounty huntress deep in thought. The AI that was inside ROB's body… it giving orders to Samus… it reminded her of Adam Malcovich.
"Is your mission clear?"
The soldiers would respond by giving him a thumbs up.
Adam turned to Samus. "Any objections, lady?"
Samus put her hand up, only to move her hand down to give him a thumbs down.
Samus let out a light chuckle. I think I'll call the AI Adam… She thought to herself.
"So… what should our team name be?" Blake spoke up, snapping Samus out of her thoughts.
"Hmm…" Rosalina rubbed her chin in thought. "Remnant does have a team of four with some peculiar naming… like J-N-P-R and pronouncing it as Juniper… or S-S-S-N and pronouncing it as Sun for some reason."
Samus looked around the elevator, looking at Pikachu, Blake, Rosalina and ROB, and folded her arms before an idea popped ito her head. "S-P-B-R-R. Space Brigade."
"That… makes as much sense as SSSN." Rosalina admitted.
"Shouldn't it be a team of four though? Pikachu could be the mascot." Blake said. "Like Zwei."
"Pika!" Pikachu smiled.
"Perhaps, but… we're not in Remnant." Samus pointed out. "So, it's a team of five."
"Good point."
"Plus, think of that one team… MAJC. It's a group of six, and yet those Chloe and Zoey girls are left out for some reason." Samus explained. "From what I understand, they're an unofficial team. So why not do the same… although this time, I'm making it official… Remnant be damned."
"Are you sure that's a good idea… making it official just like that?" Blake asked.
"Would you argue with a Bounty Huntress that can blow up planets for a living?"
"Good point." Blake nodded.
"If this team isn't recognized in Remnant, then so be it."
Rosalina giggled. "Good enough for me." She said as the elevator stopped and then they walked to the left, finding themselves in a large room.
BGM: BSL Control Station (Metroid Fusion)
"Wonder what's in here?" Blake wondered as they approached the door at the bottom and walked in, seeing a station that she hadn't recognized. "Oh, what's this?"
"Ah, that's a Recharging Station. They pretty much restore my energy or missiles in case if I'm low." Samus explained.
"Got ya." Blake nodded as they walked out.
"I have a feeling the data room is up there." Samus said, climbing up as they opened up the door as they walked inside and finding the station. "Perfect." She said as she walked into the station, standing inside of it as the station glowed brightly.
Missiles back online!
Samus smirked, watching the missile count raise up… to ten. Not enough for her usual repertoire, but it was better than nothing. Samus turned to Rosalina, both of them nodding as Rosalina opened up the void as Samus took the missiles and found the count raising up by five.
"Fifteen. Excellent." Samus said… and then suddenly, the power went down. "Huh?"
"That's unfortunate…" Blake said.
End BGM
"Electrical interference has knocked out the elevators on the Main Deck. This may be related to the X. I'll find a way to get the power back on. As for you, find another way around to the target. Huge biosigns are still there… I just hope your missiles will work. They may be your only hope, don't hesitate to use them." The AI, or in this case, Adam, advised.
"Right." Samus nodded as they walked off… as Samus couldn't help but think that the AI sounded exactly like Adam… but she shrugged it off, thinking that it was just her mind playing tricks on her as they walked through and found a red light coming out of a hatch. Samus would immediately fire a missile at it to destroy it, and then they all climbed inside.
Resume Facing a Huge Reaction BGM
They would proceed through a dark corridor, immediately coming into contact with another Geron… only this time it would be promptly destroyed by a few missiles from Samus and then they kept going, only for the floor to cave in as they all dropped but they landed on their feet.
"What was that all about…?" Blake wondered.
"Very common occurrence on my missions." Samus said with a shrug like it was no big deal as they walked through and climbed over walls to get through the corridors, while also dealing with another zombie-like creature that they immediately put down, then Samus snagged the X-Parasite as they would soon find a hole to jump down in.
Rosalina would notice large wiring had been cut before they jumped down. This made her feel uneasy as she conjured up protective barriers for them so they wouldn't be electrocuted, except for Pikachu who could handle electric shocks easily as they jumped down, where the others would notice the wiring.'
"Oh, good thinking." Samus nodded, then spotted some missiles next to ROB as she grabbed them and saw her missile counter go up by twenty as they hopped down and went to the left, finding the room to be empty, but Samus' radar picked up on something secret so she proceeded to shoot at the wall… and uncovered missiles.
"Wow… how many are you at now?" Blake asked as Samus grabbed the missiles.
"That makes twenty five." Samus responded as they walked to the other side, shooting dow the many zombies that were in their way… until they came across a door with a massive grotesque eyeball.
"Eugh! What the…?!" Blake groaned in disgust.
"Gadoras… never thought I'd see these bastards in here." Samus said, waiting for the eye to open, and once it did, it fired a small blast that forced them to dodge as they would lay into it with Samus finishing it off with a missile that would destroy it completely, then they walked through the hatch.
Pause BGM
BGM: Tension (Super Metroid)
Once they walked through, all of them could feel the tension in the room. The air felt different… as if a large creature was awaiting them. Samus climbed up the walls as Rosalina would levitate herself, Pikachu and Blake while ROB used his thrusters to go up as they would continue walking with their weapons drawn.
They rounded a corner… and saw an Energy Tank in front of her, which Samus quickly picked it up and used her arm cannon to absorb the energy, seeing that her energy went up by a hundred. However, her radar picked up on a hidden area as she scanned the area before finding a destroyable block as she fired a missile at it, then Pikachu would jump on through and ran off, and then came back with another Energy Tank for Samus to absorb.
"Perfect." Samus said, feeling a bit more at ease with two energy tanks ready to go as they dropped down and landed in a room… and they saw a massive X-Parasite forming into a large creature as it roared at them.

"Arachnus…" Samus said. Talk about a blast from the past… She thought as everyone got in their fighting stances. "Light him up!"
BGM: Arachnus (Metroid: Samus Returns)
A Blast From the Past - Arachnus-X
Arachnus roared, rolling toward the group as they jumped out of the way as it turned around and swung its claws at them, creating shockwaves that forced them to dodge out of the way as Rosalina aimed her wand and threw out energy shockwaves of her own, striking Arachnus as it responded by breathing fire at her, as she pushed the flames out of the way.
Blake activated the Paralyzer feature on Gambol Shroud and flicked it around, zapping and paralyzing Arachnus as it swiped down at her, but she backflipped to avoid the shockwaves as Samus fired a few missiles while Pikachu's tail sparked with electricity and threw an Electro Ball while ROB threw out an Arm Rotor on him, using an uppercut to knock Arachnus back before firing a laser as Arachnus breathed fire, both of them colliding and exploding while Blake would shoot out lasers at it.
Samus rushed at Arachnus and shoulder bashed him, getting on top of him and shooting missiles at his mouth before jumping off before it could swipe at her as it rolled directly at Samus, but she jumped out of the way and fired another missile as it turned around, with it striking the underbelly as it let out a loud roar before falling apart as the X-Parasite moved about, trying to strike Samus but she would fire several missiles at it before it was destroyed… leaving only behind the Parasite itself as Samus jumped toward it, absorbing it and then landing on the ground.

Morph Ball back online!
In an instant, Samus curled up into a ball before getting back up. "That's more like it."
"Hey, at least now you don't have to get stuck in small spaces again." Blake teased, causing Rosalina to snicker a bit.
"Ha ha… whatever." Samus rolled her eyes. "Let's go." She said as they went through the small spaces… only ROB couldn't fit at all, so Rosalina aimed her wand at ROB as the robot found himself shrinking to the size of Pichu.
"You can do that?" Blake asked in surprise.
"Yup." Rosalina smiled as they all went through the small spaces and once they crawled back out into open space, Rosalina would bring ROB back up to normal size, then Adam took over, much to ROB's dismay.
"So, I have some good news and I have some bad news. The good news is, the power is back online. The bad news… is something I've feared."
"What is it?" Blake asked.
BGM: Invasion (Metroid Fusion)
"The breeding environments have been invaded by X-Parasites. Sector 1, also known as SRX, shows several abnormalities on bio-sensors. Sector 1 is also a simulation of the SR-388 ecosystem. To get there, take the main elevator to the Access Shaft and use Elevator 1. I'm not sure, but I think that whoever allowed the X into the environment may also be linked to the earlier explosion…"
"We're on it!" Samus said. "SPBRR, let's move!" She ordered as they took off, as Samus had a pretty good idea where the main elevator was, working their way through until they reached the small crawlspace near the Quarantine Bay that had taunted her earlier as they crawled through and made their way to the elevator, stepping inside as the elevator made its way down.
BOOM!

An explosion destroyed a wall near the elevator, as Samus's own armor walked through the room, making hollow loud steps as it walked. It stopped near the elevator, looking down to where the elevator was headed but it would soon ignore it.
A strange zombie-like face was seen plastered on the inside of the visor as it jumped over the Elevator with a Screw Attack and destroyed the door with a Super Missile before menacingly walking through the new hole in the wall.
Down below, everyone felt a massive shake as they were on the elevator. "Pika…?" Pikachu wondered, his ears twitching.
"What was that?" Blake wondered.
"Hopefully nothing too serious." Samus said as Blake deactivated her armor and let out a sigh, looking a bit sad. "Hmm? Something wrong?"
"I dunno… maybe I just feel a bit homesick." She said.
"I know what that's like. Perhaps if you can contact your friends, you'd feel a bit better?" Samus suggested. "I'm not sure if we have reception all the way out here."
"Well… I can try." Blake nodded as the elevator finished its descent as Blake pulled out her scroll and tried contacting RWY, but… there was no signal, causing her ears to lower. "Great…"
"Oh! Perhaps making a little video log series might help." Rosalina suggested. "You can pretend you're talking to them and once we're in range of reception, you can send them to your friends. It's not much, but it's worth a shot if anything."
Blake smiled. "Sure, I'll try that." She said as she walked the other way for privacy while the others moved away to give her some space, as Blake pressed a button on her scroll, seeing that it was recording her.
"Hey! I thought I might try calling you ladies, but… unfortunately, reception here is out of whack right now. We're doing pretty alright, a little bit on edge over these X-Parasites that are wreaking havoc on this station, but… nothing we can't handle. Samus got herself hit pretty hard but she's managing. I… actually miss you girls so much. I never thought I'd feel homesick but… apparently, I am. But, on the bright side, I'm holding up pretty well. I imagine I'll be home pretty soon and I'll give you guys the biggest hugs imaginable! I'll tell you all about it when I get home… because I'll come back safe and sound, all of us will. That's what makes us Team SPBRR, we're strong… and nothing will hold us back. Take care… I love you all."
Blake pressed the record button and attempted to hit send, feeling a wave of peace go through her, feeling much better as he had imagined she was talking to her teammates. With a smile, she went off to catch up with the others.
Biologic Space Lab Video Log #2:
"The X-Parasite is a fickle organism… the Metroids seemed to love to feast on these creatures, but due to their extinction, they multiplied rapidly and have so far spread throughout SR-388 and the BSL station, but I wouldn't put it past them if they spread throughout the galaxy and infecting everything in sight, causing an intergalactic crisis on our hands.
But not to worry, for I have invented a Metroid vaccine, thanks to the baby Metroid that Samus Aran had brought. I started to work on this when I had seen a few X-Parasites infect my fellow scientists. I had injected the Metroid Vaccine into them… and it did seem to do the trick.
…However, it brought a side effect. It had turned them into mindless mutated zombies, and no matter how may times you destroy them, an X-Parasite comes along and revives them. I am currently the only survivor of this team, but I don't seem to mind, I prefer being alone anyway with me and my dog, my only family.
It's strange though… he went off to chase an X-Parasite and he hasn't returned yet. But, I'm sure he'll be fine. For now, I must continue to test the Metroid vaccine… I can tell I'm almost at a breakthrough. Only time will tell how strong this untested Metroid vaccine becomes…"
