BGM: Aboard the Sweet Stuff (Wario Land: Shake It!)
"Mmmph…" Nyx was tapping her foot, her arms folded and looked absolutely annoyed, glaring at the Wario Bros as they seemed to look like they were scheming.
Chloe meanwhile, decided to make an impromptu lounge chair on the deck to catch some rays. She'd look over at Nyx while doing so. "What's the problem?" She asked.
"Those two, that's the problem." She grumbled. "Sure, we have to work with those two idiots but it's just... the opportunity to knock them down is right here! Why can't I just... get it over with!"
"Because we need their strength to deal with the Shake King," The nurse bluntly answered. "I know you hate it, but starting trouble over some petty anger is going to only do more harm than good."
"Petty? Who's petty? I'm not petty over someone kicking us out of our home and destroying it!"
"What exactly happened?" Chloe would finish her makeshift lounge chair, taking a seat and leaning back.
Nyx let out a sigh. "Well... it all began just like any other day in Gusty Gulch…" She then went on to explain what happened.
Chloe closed her eyes in thought over this before coming up with a response. "I see... still, it's no reason to indiscriminately attack them willy nilly. Zoey even suggested we could steal the deed back. They stole from you, so why not just steal back?"
"I don't know, Chloe... as far as I know, the deed went up in flames along with that house..."
"It would be quite stupid of them if the Wario Bros were going to use that land for something," The nurse noted. "However...let me put it this way. Would you prefer if I had to use my limited medical supplies fixing them up, and leave your teammates potentially without any way to heal quickly from their injuries? I've said it before, but wound infection is a bitch to deal with."
Nyx's eyes widened. She didn't really think of something like that. Sure, there was their aura that can heal 'em up, but suppose if their aura broke...
"Oh..."
"Yeah, that's what I thought," Chloe frowned. "Listen...my condolences that you lost your home, but Anthony has been talking about finding some way to repay you for getting his life back on track. He thinks that reclaiming your home would be the perfect way to do that. For now, and I know you hate it, we have to work with these two. I can only hope one of my brother's teammates or Zoey can wring out the truth of what happened to that deed out of either of them."
Nyx closed her eyes, gritting her teeth and visibly cringing.
"Ugh, fiiiiine..." She relented. "I'll go easy on 'em..."
"Thank you. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to try and work on a tan until we reach our destination. If you don't mind..."
Nyx nodded and walked off, letting out a few grumbles while doing so.
"Well, that's one way to knock some sense into her." Jade said, sitting down on some boxes.
"Yup." Iris agreed and then glanced over at Xena. "Say, Xena… I've been meaning to ask this for a while."
"Hmm?"
"I know you have your telekinesis, but don't you have your Fire as well? I know you picked that Copy Ability back up after you and your dark self become one."
"Yeah, we still have it." Xena said, as fire appeared in her hand. "We just don't really use it that often because telekinesis is way more fun than burning things."
"Hmm… but what if we combined it? Our ESP and Fire… what if we like combined it into Telekinetic Fire? Or Psychic Fire or… whatever it is."
Hey… that's not a bad idea! I can't believe I didn't think of that!
"Two minds in one body. You're welcome~!"
"I wonder if I should call for backup, just in case…" Sarge mused. "It wouldn't hurt. The more the merrier!" He said as he pulled out his phone and started calling Red Base. "Come on, pick up…"
"Your call has been forwarded to an automated voice message-"
"Bah! No signal here!" Sarge said.
"Huh?" Nyx wondered as she pulled out her scroll. "…Oh my, we don't have service out here!"
"Oh sure, we can have service while we're in space and yet we don't have it in another dimension? That's great…" Jade shook her head.
"I'm still wondering how Gloria could talk to her friends when we were on the Observatory…" Xena mused.
"I'd say look up a book of logic, but I doubt it'd be useful." Iris snarked.
"Maybe Rosalina had galaxy wide reception?" Jade guessed.
"You kidding? She's technologically challenged." Xena said. "Like, just the other day-"
Pause BGM
A few days earlier…
"Uh… how do you work this thing?" Rosalina wondered, aiming a remote and pressing buttons. "This isn't… how do you change channels?"
"Uh, Rosie? Remote controls don't work on computers. They're for TVs!" Xena told her.
"…Oh, right…" Rosalina blushed.
In the present…
Resume BGM
"Also, we should remind you that she got herself a flip phone while everyone else has touch screen phones." Xena said.
"Poor girl… she can't keep up since she was in space for so long…"
"Eh… nobody's perfect?" Jade shrugged.
"She's getting there… it's just taking her a while to get used to this technology she hasn't seen in a century." Umber said.
"I can't blame her…" Nyx mumbled.
"Alright, here we are!" Syrup said as they docked at the first continent.
"Ratl Ruins… this should be a good starting point." Merfle said.
"Alriiiiight! Let's get this party started!" Mona exclaimed.
"Oh, I should mention that shaking enemies in this dimension will get you a lot of coins!" Merfle pointed out. "So go ahead and sha-"
"Shaking enemies constantly? All of them? Pffft!" Mona scoffed at the idea. "That'll take a while! Why not just beat the crap out of them to get the coins out that way!"
"Oooh, I like her style!" Syrup said.
"Wahaha! Music to my ears! Punching people to get their cash off of 'em! Sounds like a good bargain!" Wario said.
"Wahaha! Yeah!" Waluigi grinned, both of their eyes filled with cash symbols.
Greedy bastards… Nyx thought with a scowl.
"Either way, sounds like a fun adventure." Camrin said with a chuckle.
"We'll stay here and watch over the ship." Syrup said. "As soon as you come back with a Boss Emblem, we'll make way to the next continent."
"…Wait, hold on, are we just gonna ignore the fact that Mona said something smart?" Jen asked.
"Oh come off it, Jen! I may be a moron but I have my moments!" Mona said proudly.
"So… when do we expect the apocalypse?" Anthony teased, earning a playful elbow from Mona with a playful grin.
"Oh hush." She giggled.

"Let's-a go! There's treasure to be found here!" Wario said as he and Waluigi walked off.
"This oughta be fun…" Nyx mumbled to herself as they walked off together.
"Have fun~!" Syrup waved.
"Don't get killed out there!" Merfle called out. "Oh, and be sure to save my people too!"
"They'll be fine."
"I know, but that was for the Wario Bros because… Nyx."
Syrup chuckled. "They'll be fiiiiine."
World 1-1 - Stonecarving City - An Unlikely Adventure Unfolds!
BGM: Stonecarving City (Wario Land: Shake It!)
"Whoooooa! This looks amazing!" Mona's eyes sparkled. "Ancient ruins!"
"Well… when there's ruins, there's treasure abound." Camrin smiled.
"You know it! Let's turn this place upside down and get all the treasure we can!"
"It wouldn't hurt to get some treasure of our own." Jade pointed out.
"Well, it's a nice change of pace, that's for sure." Iris agreed.
"Yeah, I guess…" Nyx said. Not with those two, though… She thought as they walked around where they saw a few Bandineros charging right at them… but they harmlessly bounced off of Wario and Jade.
"Heh! That tickled!" Wario smirked, delivering a solid punch to send two of them flying while Jade sucked the other one in her Poltergust and shot it toward a wall, bouncing off and hit a box above them as it fell to the ground.
"Huh, didn't expect that to happen." Jade chuckled as she noticed a lot of coins on the ground that Wario and Waluigi greedily picked up. "Huh, they weren't kidding over the coins…"
"Hey hey, save some for me!" Mona exclaimed, before noticing a large coin bag on top of a platform. "Ooooh!" Her eyes sparkled as she hopped up on the platform and greedily tore it open. She let out a gasp. "Oooh mama!" She grinned, hearts over her eyes as she quickly threw the coins behind her as the rest of AJC grabbed the coins while Mona stuffed the rest of it in her pockets.
"Hello, treasure chest…" Sarge mused, opening it up and pulled out a Stone Coin. "Mmmph! Kind of… heavy!"
Mona jumped in and took it off of Sarge's hands. "Piece of cake, honestly." She giggled, causing Sarge to sweatdrop.
Stone Coin: A coin made of solid rock. Very heavy, but reputable misers report that it is hard to steal.
"Great, so we're gonna lug that all the way to the end of this continent?" Iris asked with her arms folded.
"Who said anything about lugging? Xena, you wouldn't happen to have teleportation powers, do you?" Mona smiled.
"Do we have it? Of course we do!" Xena said with a smile, aiming her hand at the coin before snapping her fingers.
At the Sweet Stuff…
"Ah, what a lovely day." Syrup said, casually drinking tea.
THUD!
The resounding thud made the tea splash right on Syrup's face. "Mmph!"
"Goodness, where did that come from?" Merfle wondered.
Back with them…
"I have to ask. What's with the "we" stuff?" Sarge asked.
"Well, ever since I merged with my dark self, I just felt it was necessary to refer myself as "we". It feels more natural that way… plus, I don't really want to leave her out. We share the same body, so why not?" Xena shrugged.
"Aww… still makes me emotional!"
"Ah, now I get ya!" Sarge nodded
"I thought it had something to do with that." Umber chuckled. "I'm certainly not complaining."
"Bah… sappiness…" Wario mumbled.
"You wouldn't know anything about that if it hit you upside the head." Nyx rolled her eyes as they walked ahead while her Black Yoshi swallowed up some Bandineros and then threw the eggs into some Floating Bandineros to knock them into the ground and exploded into coins where Mona and Wario dove for them while also fighting each other to get the last coin.
As they were fighting, Iris spotted a treasure chest and climbed up a platform where she then opened it up and pulled out Full-Body Goggles. "Uh… what in the world…?"
"Looks like a body suit with goggles." Zoey mused.
"Eh… looks kinda out of fashion if you ask me." Iris said as Xena sent it back to the Sweet Stuff.
Full-Body Goggles: Ordinary goggles only protect the eyes. Ordinary goggles are for chumps.
"I dunno… something about full body protection with goggles sounds interesting." Anthony said.
"Somehow, I feel insulted while looking at those goggles and I don't know why." Sarge said as they continued on the trail where they would walk up some steps and noticed a hard to reach area.
"We can get ya up there." Xena said with a smile, but Wario had an idea and punched the ground hard enough to send a pillar crashing to the ground.
"No need!" Wario said, flexing his muscles.
"Oooor we can let Wario handle it…" Dark Xena said, both of them sweatdropping as they jumped up and found the last Treasure Chest.
"Ooooh! Come to papa!" Waluigi said as the Wario Bros opened it up… and pulled out a Crystal Skull.
"Crystal! We're rich!" Wario exclaimed, both of them high fiving.
"…Ancient people were made of crystal back in the day?" Mona curiously wondered.
"I seriously doubt it." Jen said. "Although considering we're in another dimension, that could be a possibility."
Crystal Skull: ...From a crystal...man?
"Odd, I feel like you can make a movie off of that skull somehow." Umber said.
"Boy, do I have a movie for you to watch." Sarge said.
"I'll make the popcorn." Zoey said.
"Woo, movie night!" Mona cheered as they continued on before coming across a caged Merfle.
"Help! Get me out of here!" A Merfle cried out, and then Wario delivered a strong punch to destroy the cage. "Woohoo! Thank you!" He smiled. "Now take me back… I don't like it here!"
"We'll help you out." Xena said, closing her eyes and teleporting the Merfle to the Sweet Stuff, then they headed off where a portal appeared in front of them.
"What the devil is this?" Waluigi wondered.
"Hmm… ah!" Wario grabbed Nyx.
"H-hey! What are you-?!"
"In you go!" He said, throwing her into the portal.

World 1-2 - Whoopsy Desert - Explosive Findings!
BGM: Whoopsy Desert (Wario Land: Shake It!)
"Waaaah!" Nyx faceplanted into the sand. "Ugh…" She groaned as she got up, dusting herself off. "What the hell was that for?"
"You threatened to kill us." Wario said as he walked out. "Consider us even."
"I meeeean… he's not wrong." Umber said.
"You okay?" Chloe asked with concern.
"I will be when these two pay for what they did several years ago…" Nyx mumbled.
Hmm… I wonder if I could get the information out of those two… Zoey thought as they started walking through the desert, where they would come across a Bomb Block where Sarge curiously kicked one, and saw it starting to light up.
"Whoa now!" He said as he jumped back as it exploded. "That's very good to know!"
"Bomb blocks… that's new." Anthony said. "We'll have to watch our footing there." He warned as they walked through as Wario took one look at some stairs and punched the ground hard enough to cause it to rise and revealed a hidden sack of coins.
"You either punch something to make it fall or… rise. Yeah, that makes sense." Umber shrugged as Wario greedily shook it and gave half of it to Waluigi as they walked through before heading inside a pyramid… and they would see a cannon after taking out a few Bandineros.
"A cannon?" Iris wondered.
"Maybe it takes up further." Xena said, and then Waluigi decided to go inside… and he blasted off.
"WAAAAAAAAAAH!" Waluigi yelled as he burst through a few metal containers as Wario joined right after.
"WAHOOOO!"
"…That can't be safe!" Jen said. "I say we take a different route and-… wait, where's Mona?" She asked, noticing a blinking white outline of her.
"I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count." Camrin said, watching Mona hop inside the cannon and blasted off.
"CANNONBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL!"
"Bro, you have got to keep an eye on your girlfriend." Chloe sweatdropped.
"What? She'll be fine." Camrin shrugged. "Besides, you packed her a helmet before we came into this adventure just in case she did something like this."
"…Oh yeah, that's right! …Oh please tell me she had the sense to put that on."
On the other side…
Waluigi was shot into another cannon, and then was blasted into several other cannons before slamming into a wall. "OOOF!" Waluigi grunted as he fell to the ground. "Waaah… I'm okay…" He groaned and then Wario landed on top of him. "WAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"Thanks for breaking my fall." Wario said as he got up, and then Mona smashed right into the wall. "Wah!" He yelped, seeing Mona's body went limp before she tried to get her head out of the wall, though Wario helped her out.
"Whoooa!" Mona yelped, landing on her butt as she was indeed wearing a helmet. "Whew, what a rush!"
"You alright?" Wario asked.
"Never better~!" Mona grinned, giving him the thumbs up and then the three noticed Xena telekinetically stopping herself before she hit the wall and then turned around and stopped everyone from slamming into the wall.
"In hindsight… maybe I should've used Nebby for this." Umber chuckled a bit as they landed on the ground safely.
"Thanks, you two!" Iris smiled.
"You're welcome!" Xena smiled back as they would spot a treasure chest up ahead as Mona walked over and opened it up, revealing… a Cheese Pyramid!
"Oooooh!" Mona smiled.
"A block of cheese? Really?" Waluigi raised an eyebrow.
"Well, it's something." Nyx shrugged.
Cheese Pyramid: Supposedly, this is how the great mouse rulers of the past are entombed.
"Bottoms up~!" Mona smiled, taking a bite out of it.
"Mona! You don't know where it's been!" Jade scolded.
"What? You people eat Mushrooms out of ? Blocks all the time. What difference does it make here?" Mona pointed out.
"…Ya know, she's not wrong." Anthony chuckled.
"I mean… yeah, but that's entirely different." Jade sweatdropped as they walked through the pyramid and came across another two treasure chests in another room, where Anthony would open it up and picked up a strange smiling bottle.
"Huh… what in the world is this?"
"Probably liquid goodness." Mona said. "I could use some of it to wash down the cheese." She said and then proceeded to down it. "Aaah… that's the- hehehe… hahaha! PFFFT! HAHAHAHA! Why am I laughing?! BAHAHAHA!"
Liquid Giggles: It turns out you can bottle laughter. Who knew?
"Help! I can't stop…! HAHAHAHAHA!" Mona doubled over laughing, falling to the ground.
"Hmm… I wonder if that could be enchanted liquid that can make someone laugh uncontrollably." Waluigi wondered.
"Bottling laughter… sounds appropriate for this dimension." Umber said.
"What's in the other chest?" Nyx wondered as Sarge walked over and pulled out… an hourglass.
"Apparently, an hourglass." Sarge said, tossing it behind him, only for Zoey to catch it.
"I wouldn't mind having this thing around." Zoey smiled.
Ancient Digital Watch: Hard to read and too bulky to wear on your wrist, but at least its battery never runs out.
"Ha ha ha… haaaah… haaaaaaaaaaaah…" Mona panted for air, lying on her back as the laughing effects wore off. "I think I'm gonna stick with water for a while…" She said as they found the caged Merfle and after Wario broke it, Xena sent him back to the Sweet Stuff.
"Alright, I think we cleared this place out… let's go." Jade said as they started walking… and were met with two portals opening up. One was golden and the other was blue. "Huh?"
"Gooooold!" Wario said as he and Waluigi hopped on in with Mona jumping in after them.
"…I guess we're going that way." Nyx said as they hopped inside.
World 1-Secret - Disturbing Tomb - Mummified Pyramid
"Oooh, another desert!" Mona said. "…But now it's night time? How long were we in that pyramid?"
"Bah, it doesn't matter." Wario waved her off as the others joined him.
"Oooh, night time! Now we won't die from heat stroke." Nyx said.
"It wasn't that hot." Xena responded as they walked through were they encountered a few Flipstings and Bumbleprods, as one Flipsting nearly managed to sting Nyx but Jen would shoot it down, then shot a Turkeyjerk that had dive bombed them as they jumped up on a few platforms and found themselves a few coin sacks that Wario and Waluigi greedily ripped open, though Mona would snag all the coins right under Waluigi's nose.
"Wah!" Waluigi yelped.
"Too slow~!" Mona said in a sing songy voice as they walked through the cold dark desert before going inside another pyramid, where a Mummer attempted to attack them but Jade would notice a loose piece of cloth as she sucked it up with her Poltergust and yanked it, making the Mummer spin around and lose all of its cloth… and then Nyx's Yoshi ate it up and threw the egg at a few Flipstings.
As they walked ahead and over the quicksand, Iris would spot a treasure chest not too far from them as she wandered over to it and opened up the chest. "…Ooooh, what's this?" She wondered as she pulled out a bowl of ramen.
"A bowl of ramen… in a treasure chest?" Nyx raised an eyebrow.
"You can say the same about the cheese that Mona ate." Iris pointed out and then looked into the ramen, her stomach growling. "Mmm… Hey Xenas, could you two warm this up for me?"
"She's joking, right? Who knows how long that's been in there!"
Would you want to argue with our always hungry teammate?
"No… but I'm just saying!"
Xena took the bowl of ramen and ignited her hand as it would start to bubble up within a minute. "There you go."
"Thank you!" Iris smiled, taking the bowl and happily ate it up.
Instant Tutanramen - It's been 3,000 years since someone poured in the hot water. The noodles may be a bit soggy.
After she finished… she was left with disappointment. "It wasn't good, was it?" Jade asked with concern.
"Oh no, it was delicious… the problem is, I prefer Min Min's over this." She said, tossing the empty bowl behind her where it shattered when it hit a wall.
"Well, that's a waste of a good bowl…" Nyx sweatdropped as they continued on, then they walked out of the pyramid and wandered ahead as they took out more Bumbleprods that attempted to tackle Camrin and Sarge, but the latter shot them down, which was enough to scare a Flipsting and dug itself into the sand.
"Yeah, I thought so." Sarge chuckled as they climbed up a few platforms and found another treasure chest where Mona quickly opened it up.
"Oooooh! SHINY!" Mona grinned and picked it up. "…Golden TISSUES?" She said in disgust.
Golden Tissues: You don't know what luxury is until you blow your nose on a piece of 24K gold.
"…On the one hand, it's shiny. On the other hand, It's tissue paper… ewww…" Mona tossed it behind her, only for Waluigi to grab it.
"We're richer!" Waluigi said, high fiving Wario.
"Imagine getting rich from tissues…" Mona mumbled.
"I'm surprised you threw that away." Umber said.
"Hey, I may love shiny things but even I have standards, thank you very much!" Mona said.
"That's a first." Camrin snickered.
"Well, it is what it is." Anthony shrugged.
"Mona, I can't believe I'm saying this but… good job on throwing away a shiny object." Jen praised. "…And I can't believe that's leaving a weird taste in my mouth."
"Welp, can't get any weirder than that!" Sarge said.
"Wanna bet?" Nyx snickered as they walked into another pyramid and took out any enemy that would try to hurt them. One Mummer was shot down from Sarge and a few crossbow bolts took out some Flipstings on the ceiling until they wandered out of the second pyramid and found the last treasure chest surrounded by enemies that Wario and Waluigi easily took care of by blowing them up with Bob-ombs, and then the bros opened up the chest.
"Wha…?! A teapot!" Wario said.
"We don't drink tea!" Waluigi complained.
"Worthless!" Wario complained, tossing it behind him but Xena caught it with her telekinesis.
"Ya know, we could give this to Byleth as a gift." Xena said.
"Definitely!"
Oasis in a Teapot: This amazing teapot never runs out of water. You'll have to supply your own tea, though.
With a nod, Xena teleported the teapot away to the Sweet Stuff, then they walked ahead where they freed the Merfle and the psychic girl sent the Merfle away to the Sweet Stuff. "Alright, I think we cleared everything here."
"Agreed. Let's go." Nyx nodded as they all walked into the portal leading to Foulwater Falls.
End BGM
Meanwhile, with Erik…
Erik ran out of the portal leading to Diamond City. "Alright Mia… where are you?" He wondered as he kept running.
With Bowser…
"Phew…" Bowser rolled his arms as he walked back into the castle with Junior. "That was brutal…"
"You're telling me!" Junior groaned. "But on the bright side, we were close to defeating them! I could feel it! We just gotta train a little harder!"
Bowser grinned, patting him on the head. "That's my boy. Now run along and have some fun with the others." He said gently. "Your father's got some business to take care of."
"You got it!" Junior nodded and ran off.
Bowser let out a chuckle. "Kids…" He said before turning around with a frown. "Alright… now to go to Diamond City and get my loot back!" He hopped in his Clown Car and flew off. "Luckily, the Smash Mansion has a shortcut to Diamond City! BWAHAHAHAHA!"
Me, watching the Sonic Presentation: "Hey, this is a pretty chill presentation. Not exactly the greatest, but it's pretty goo- *Sonic Colors pops in* WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT."
Sonic Colors: Ultimate! I loved playing that on the Wii... now I get to enjoy it again on the Switch!
Wonder what that new teaser was though... could've given us a bit more info, but eh, it is what it is.
