This chapter will see Sara and Seraphine returning to Piltover, and introduce my two faviroute characters in Arcane.

Guest: Thanks for the review. Glad to hear it. It will be revealed next chapter.

Chapter 32- The Defender and the Herald

Runeterra, Piltover

Sara and Seraphine walked across the great bridge that lead into Piltover.

"And I'm back in Piltover." Sara sighed, looking around.

"It looks way different than the Piltover I'm from. Way less advanced." Seraphine commented, mostly to herself.

"Really?" Sara raised an eyebrow.

"I did say that they invented space travel." Seraphine pointed out.

"Fair enough."

Seraphine had changed from her greasy overalls to a more comfortable pair of jeans and a T-shirt, plus a jacket and boots.

"Where are we going?" Sara asked as the two women walked into Piltover.

"I'm going to find a friend of mine. His name is Viktor." The pink-haired woman replied.

"Viktor." Sara said, rolling the name over her tongue.

"He was the guy I mentioned who's a complete asshole in my timeline. But here he's actually a nice dude." Seraphine shrugged.

"The machine guy, right?" Sara asked and she nodded.

"Well don't you see new things everyday?" Sara chuckled, tying her blonde hair into a ponytail.

The two walked towards the city as Sara looked around again, thankful she was breathing fresh air again.

As the two continued, a necklace dropped at Sara's feet. She looked down and picked it up.

"The heck?" Seraphine asked, narrowing her eyes.

A young girl, around 10 or 11 years old came running. Sara looked at her, but her attention was drawn to a black serpent on her shoulders.

"Leliah, I told you to watch it." The serpent warned, making Sara raise an eyebrow.

"Sorry." She winced, looking up at Sara.

"This yours?" Sara asked.

"Yes it is." Leliah replied shyly.

"Here you go, kiddo. Just be sure not to lose it." Sara warned, tying the necklace around Leliah's neck.

"I won't." Leliah promised.

"Oh I'll make sure she won't." The serpent cracked.

"Starshadow, stop it!" Leliah groaned.

"Never." Starshadow smirked.

Sara and Seraphine both watched the scene unfolding with amusement.

"Anyway, thank you, Ms…" Leliah trailed off.

"Sara. Sara Lance." The blonde woman said.

"I'm Leliah." The younger woman introduced herself.

Sara looked at her and said. "You've got a good heart, kid. Keep at it."

Leliah smiled, flattered, while Starshadow cackled nearby.

Seraphine smirked while Leliah smiled and then trotted off, calling back. "See you, Ms. Lance!"

Sara laughed and shook her head at that.

"Looks like you found yourself an admirer." Seraphine chuckled.

"It seems I did." Sara smirked.

Later

Sara and Seraphine walked into the destroyed penthouse that had been blown the day before when Vi, Powder, Mylo and Claggor had robbed it.

"Some mess." Sara commented, looking at the rubble and the open wall.

"By the Sweet Chimes of Bard." Seraphine muttered, looking around at the destruction.

"Yeah, this is bad." Sara agreed.

"No shit. Let's see if Viktor's here." Seraphine shook her head, walking into the place.

"Are we expecting trouble?" Sara asked.

"I have a special pass here. Besides, the Enforcers like me." Seraphine chuckled.

"Fair enough."

Enforcers were all around, including Grayson.

"Sara?" Grayson asked, turning to face her. Speak of the Devil.

"Yeah, hi." Sara said.

"What are you doing Topside?"

"Seraphine invited me along." Sara said, jerking a thumb to the pink-haired girl on her right.

"I did, don't get mad at her." Seraphine raised her hands.

Grayson looked between the two for a second before sighing.

"All right kid. I trust you." She said. Seraphine gave Sara a wink, and she shook her head.

Grayson turned back to talking to an incredibly handsome man who was wearing a dark grey 3 pieced suit and a red tie.

"I didn't do any of this!" he pleaded.

"Relax, kid, we know it was a break-in," Grayson said. "But…that doesn't explain everything here. There's a lot of restricted items here."

"Jayce, what the fuck did you do?" Seraphine asked the man.

"You know this guy?" Sara asked.

"Yeah, worked with him before. Long story." Seraphine replied, with tension in her voice.

"Stuff. Please don't ask." Jayce groaned. He looked up and his eyes stopped on Sara. His jaw almost dropped.

He had been on dates with multiple women in the past, but Sara was the most attractive woman he had ever seen. Her honey blonde hair sparkled in the morning Sun, and she smirked.

Jayce knew it instantly, her beauty and the sunlight overthrew him.

"Hey, Runeterra to Jayce?" Grayson asked, snapping her fingers in front of his face. Jayce was finally snapped out of his daze.

Seraphine looked like she was about to start laughing. She looked over at Sara who was eyeing Jayce up and down.

Sara couldn't deny that Jayce was attractive. Even though he was wearing a suit, he had a muscular physique.

"Stop making goo-goo eyes at the dude." Seraphine snapped.

Sara rolled her eyes at that.

"What happened here?" a distinct German accent said from behind.

The two women turned to see a rather attractive looking young man with a mop of dark hair walk towards them.

He was wearing a black and grey suit with a tie. He used a cane to walk. But the most striking features were his orange eyes.

"Viktor!" Seraphine smirked, walking towards the man who smirked and hugged the younger woman.

"You're Viktor." Sara realized, walking towards him.

"I am," Viktor replied. "And you are?"

"Sara Lance. She's my friend." Seraphine interrupted.

"Really? I haven't seen you before." Viktor commented.

"I came from Demacia." Sara revealed.

"Wow, you're far away from your homeland." Viktor commented, leaning on his cane.

"Further from home than you might think." Sara muttered.

"Yo, Viktor, what are you doing here?" Seraphine asked.

"Yeah, who are you?" Jayce added.

"I'm assistant to the Dean at the Academy," Viktor replied. "Who it may serve you to remember is also Head of the Council."

"We're going to have to take you in, kid." Grayson said almost apologetically, producing a pair of handcuffs.

Jayce groaned and buried his head into his hands.

Later, after Jayce had been arrested, Viktor, Sara and Seraphine walked together down a bridge.

"So you're Viktor," Sara commented. "Seraphine talked a lot about you."

"Good things I hope." He replied in his clipped German accent, though he had a hint of a smile on his face.

"What do you think, dumbass?" Seraphine smirked, but Sara could tell there was some tension in her voice. What was that about?

Viktor chuckled in amusement.

"What's going to happen now with Jayce?" Sara asked.

"There is going to be trail. The council will decide his fate." Viktor confirmed.

"Sounds like something out of Star Wars." Sara mused to herself. The other two looked at her and exchanged a look.

Seraphine rolled her eyes and made an 'I'll tell you later' motion with her hand.

Viktor shook his head and patted her on the back.

"What's going on in the Undercity?" Sara asked Seraphine.

"I don't know. I was going to return there and see if Vander needs my help." Seraphine replied, confused.

"I'll go. I will come back though." Sara promised.

"You sure about this?" the pink-haired woman asked.

"Don't worry, I've got this." Sara smirked.

The Undercity, some time later

Sara walked into a dark building, seeing Vi, Powder, Mylo and Claggor standing there. Vi was boxing with a machine, dodging it's blows.

"Hey guys." Sara greeted.

"Sara, good to see ya." Vi smirked.

"You kids alright?" Sara asked.

"You kidding me? I'm feeling better than ever!" Mylo smirked. He fired a small pistol full of rubber pink bullets at some moving targets.

"Shooting galley? Awesome." Sara chuckled.

"That was the best job we've ever done," Mylo continued. "Maybe just don't bring Powder next time."

"Oh for God's sake." Sara groaned. Claggor shook his head too, while Powder glared at him.

She aimed her gun and Sara's jaw dropped. Powder hit every single target multiple times when even Mylo couldn't.

Powder put the gun down and gave Mylo a mocking glare before walking to a machine in the corner.

A small yellow being on the screen began eating its way across.

"Is that Pac-Man?" Sara asked.

"What's Pac-Man?" Powder frowned.

"Never mind." Sara sighed.

She was about to say something when a person was violently flung through the window and crashed to the ground.

"What the fuck?!" Sara looked around. She peered out the broken window, seeing Marcus and several other armored Enforcers there.

"Oh shit, we've gotta go." Sara said to the others. "I'll be right back."

"What? Where are you-" Vi started but Sara was already gone. "Oh for fuck's sake."

"Search the kids." Marcus ordered, approaching Powder, Mylo and Claggor.

"Go ahead, idiots," Mylo taunted. "I've got nothing to hide."

Powder looked panicked. She locked eyes with Vi who looked at the blue crystals in Powder's pouch. The two nodded.

As an Enforcer towered over Powder, an ax struck him in the head, splitting his skull in two.

Sara jumped out of hiding, now using an old rag to cover her face. Taking advantage, Powder took off running towards the now moving targets.

Mylo kicked an Enforcer and jumped behind the counter.

"AHRR!" he shouted, firing the gun but the pink rubber bullets bounced harmlessly off the Enforcer's armor.

One was about to move when a metal crate hit him in the head, knocking him out.

"Everyone run!" Vi shouted. The four kids took off running to where Sara stood by the door.

"Get in!" Sara said and they took off. Before Marcus could reach them, Sara slammed the door in his face and bolted it.

Sara's eyes widened in surprise at how the kids were faster than her, then remembered Seraphine telling her about magic.

"Quick up here!" Ekko shouted from above. He pushed a ladder down and Vi jumped on first.

Sara turned to see two Enforcers ahead with Marcus and the others not far behind.

"Any faster would be great!" she snapped. She grabbed Powder and threw her up before jumping as well.

Once she climbed on top, Ekko pulled the ladder back, leaving Marcus and the Enforcers down below.

Groaning in pain, she rubbed her throbbing knee.

"I have a cane you can use." Claggor offered to her.

"I'll take that offer, Claggor." Sara chuckled.

Later

Seraphine stormed into the Last Drop. Sara and Vander were at the bar, talking to each other. Sara was laughing at something Vander said.

"Sara Catherine Lance!" the pink-haired woman snarled.

Sara turned to face her with a surprised expression, while Vander watched with interest.

"Seraphine, dear girl, what can I get ya?" Vander asked.

"Blondie's head on a spike would be great." Seraphine snapped.

"Well, not sure I can." Vander said, though he looked worried.

"Seraphine, what's the problem?" Sara asked, facing her.

"When you said you were going down to the Undercity, I did not think you'd end up getting into a brawl with the Enforcers!" Seraphine growled.

Sara snapped. "They targeted us first!"

"Oh my God, I did end up 400 years in the past only to die now. My ancestor could have been killed!" Seraphine groaned.

"Who's your ancestor?" Sara asked, suspicious now.

"Vi, you moron!"

"Wait, what?" Sara asked, looking confused.

"Yes! That's why I was so adamant about you not messing stuff up," Seraphine said, exasperated. "Because Vi is my ancestor. She dies, I die. I may not respect my ancestor, but that doesn't mean I don't want to be erased."

"Why don't you respect her?" Sara asked.

"Because of what happened in my time. They all lived, but not as they should have."

"What exactly happened?" Sara asked.

"Fine, I'll tell you. But believe me; you're not going to like it. It only ended with such fury." Seraphine sighed.

Sara leaned forward, ready to hear it.

And done.

So now Viktor and Jayce have appeared. Those two were my faviroute characters in the entirety of Arcane, behind Vander. It made them a lot more compelling.

And yes, Seraphine is Vi's descendant. I wanted her ancestor to be a champion from Piltover, and Vi definitely fits the bill.

Hope all the interactions were enjoyed here. Some of you may be wondering why Seraphine is slightly hostile towards Viktor, Jayce and other champions in the past, and I have an explanation for that, which will be revealed next chapter.

Also, Leliah and Starshadow are two characters from my very good friend, Jell Beanie. I did this as a small tribute to her, with her permission of course. I would highly recommend her stories.

So now Seraphine will explain what happened in her timeline, so hope everyone is excited.

Hope everyone enjoyed and see you all next time with another chapter.
