New Things

While in Spain and Portugal on my orchestra trip this summer, I wrote a series of six very short stories which will be posted here. Four of them deal with the future (in 2019) and two, vignettes of small important snapshots seen through the eyes of different characters, deal with Harry's Seventh Year . All, though, are part of the same universe; that is, the seventh year stories lead up to the ones in the future.

Series summary: the Muggle Prime Minister of Great Britain has told the world about magic as a result of more than 7,000 Muggle deaths due to Death Eater activity. A persecution of magic in general begins, effectively making the small remnants of the Order of the Phoenix fight two fronts in the war while trying not to hurt any Muggles. It is 2019 and almost all hope seems lost for the wizarding world ‘good’: will British wizarding society, which has lasted for more than two millennia, be overcome by the Muggle tide?
