Tutorial Part 2

"Morning." I said to myself as I woke up early in the morning as I yawned before cleaning myself up in the bathroom before I got dressed in the Kuoh male uniform and made my way to Kuoh academy as I attended my college classes.
This place can let me gain INT and WIS, but it doesn't make it any less boring since I'd much rather be grinding for power. Still, I must admit the teacher I currently have is quite the looker and I will probably try and seduce her later but right now my attention needs to be on gaining enough power to fight off the Fallen Angels since I plan on rescuing Asia.
Now she normally would go into Rias's peerage which isn't a bad thing except for the fact that she spoils Asia a bit to much and truthfully I can't blame her for that but to properly grow Asia will need to at least be able to defend herself since she can't be by my side twenty-four seven.
"Alright students that is all the time we have for today." The teacher said before the class soon ended as I quickly made my way home so I could go and conquer the first floor of the shadow palace.

"Thanks Vega." I said before I change my clothes into a basic grey hoodie with jeans and sneakers as I get ready to teleport.

"Oh, cool new dungeons and they are the same level range as the shadow palace." I said as read the descriptions and saw that the shadow palace acts as an endless dungeon for endless challenges, but the other dungeons are normal dungeons for me to conquer. "Alright let's go back to the shadow palace first." I said as I wanted to conquer the first floor of this place before moving onto other dungeons.
Location: Shadow Palace FL 1
Safe Room!
I spawned in the safe room as I took a deep breath before grabbing one of the scimitars out of my inventory as I begun traversing the shadow palace now filled with new enemies.

"Awesome." I said as I made my way into a new safe room as it is dawning on me that I will need a proper party to challenge this palace due to how many enemies I am able to kill alone and how little experience they are giving me. "Well time to move on." I said before I decided to move on through this first floor. Now the first floor is mostly home to slimes, flying eyes and the occasional zombies as there are several rooms I can't access for some reason as I just kill another slime as it dropped a random skill book that I now read.

"Score." I said as I have plenty of bobby pins in my inventory thanks to monsters dropping a lot of them as I go to a nearby locked room and tamper with the lock with my lock picks as it takes me a while to unlock the damn thing before I finally open the door.
It was a small room with a locked treasure chest in it and after making sure it wasn't a mimic, I unlocked the chest and got the reward that was inside of it.

I equip the set of armor is basically a simple metal cuirass with leggings and gauntlets that all fit over my regular clothes as they don't have any rare colors or powers or anything as it is a simple set of armor.
"Good for later but right now I still have stuff to do." I said as I began moving throughout the first floor again unlocking and looting various items before I was fully prepared to tackle the second floor since I can't find the boss on this one. "This won't be like last time." I said as I now have the Fae armor and I also have a new weapon.

Bio: This hiltless blade grip is actually a holy sword used by exorcists to smite dark elemental forces as the blade is powered by a holy crystal housed within the mechanisms of the blade grip and with the button on the grip you can either use a long sword or a short sword of holy energy.
Effect: 4x damage bonus against undead and dark magical beings!

I press the button on this bronze sword grip and I see my short sword emerge from the grip like a lightsaber as it was a white holy energy as I get ready before making my way to the second floor of this palace.
Location: Shadow Palace FL 2
"Ha!" I shouted as I sliced through a skeleton warrior that seemed to be waiting for me in front of a locked room as this holy sword made short work of these undead as I unlock this room and see three skeleton warriors waiting for me as I use my free hand and fire mana arrows at the skeletons weakening them and let me get close so I could slice them to pieces.
"Now time for a chest." I said as I made my way to the chest at the end of the room and with my bobby pins, I make short work of the lock.
1x Alchemy Kit for beginners!
The kit goes straight into my inventory as I leave the room and start making my way through this floor as I get past traps and enemies as this floor has a trick to it which is why it is so large as I make my way into another safe room.
"Damn this is tiring." I said as I sat in one of the chairs of this safe room as the objective of this floor is to find various levels and pull them down to raise gates to restricted areas as I rest up for a bit as I wait for my mana to refill before I leave the room and start destroying undead beings with my magic and light sword.

"Finally." I said as I pulled down the lever in the last available room as several new places on this floor has just been opened to me as I start making my way down a previously locked away hallway as I now come face to face with new enemies as these are actual spirits as they remind me of the wraiths from dragon age in form and attack as a few of them throw energy blasts at me as I evade the attacks and attack with eldritch blast as I attack each of them with the spell to try and level it up a bit.
The skill [Eldritch Blast] has levelled up! Lvl: 5-6!
"Nice." I said killing the last of the wraiths before I start walking down the hall again as I come up to a locked room and like before I pick the lock and open the door as this is a simple room with nothing in it except for another treasure chest as I make sure it isn't a trap before I open it and get the loot inside the chest.

"Sweet. Now what kind of skill is this?" I asked as I read the skill book.

"Holy shit this skill is broken." I said as all I have to do is grind some more and soon enough, I will be able to absorb stats and skills from enemies I kill.

Vega told me as I leave the room and continue to explore the rest of the floor but after I'm done, I'm not going for the boss until I have a decent chance of stealing its stats or skills.

"Damn that was a brutal run." I said as I laid down in my bed in the real world as grinding left me a bit exhausted before I mentally summon my stats to get a read on them.

"Okay. My mana regen is high enough that I can spam observe all the time without losing any mana." I said to myself before I dismissed the stats sheet and just relaxed in my bed as I spent hours grinding and now I just want to get some sleep.

"How did I let you girls talk me into this?" I asked Katase and Murayama as the three of us were going to clothes stores and doing some clothes shopping as I carried most of the bags.
"We talked you into by offering free food." Katase said before we moved on to the next store. "Here we can get a head start on getting our swimsuits." Katase said with a smile as I kept my mouth shut while Murayama suddenly had a blush on her face.
"Katase we can't shop for swimsuits with Shu-san with us." Murayama quickly said as Katase waved her off.
"It's fine. Besides we need a males perspective on our suits anyway and it is better to hear things from a friend instead of one of those perverts." Katase said with clear anger in her voice.
"I promise I won't be perverted with my opinions." I told them both as Murayama was a bit hesitant, but we made our way into the clothing store as I sat near the changing booths as both girls changed into swimsuits.
"Alright. What do you think?" Murayama asked nervously as they both came out of there booths wearing one piece suits that looked similar to school suits but they had holes in the back and small holes at the sides as Katase modeled a blue version while Murayama's was a purple one.
"Modest yet enticing." I said with a thumbs up at both girls before they changed again but this time they are wearing two piece suits as Murayama wore a basic looking green two piece swimsuit while Katase wore a yellow frilly two piece suit. "Very nice and they show off your athletic figures." I told them making them both blush a bit.
"Thanks Shu-san." Katase said before I started telling them again that I want them to call me by my first name as they seem reluctant to do so.
"Alright…Xander we are almost done except for another series of swimsuits." Murayama said as they modeled some more swimsuits that looked good but still had a modest appeal to them as they eventually settled on the suits, they liked the most before they bought the suits, and we left the store.
"So, what place are we going to eat at?" I asked them as we walked the streets.
"Let's get some BBQ." Katase said as the vote was unanimous, and we had a nice lunch and some BBQ and soon enough after walking the girls home I headed back to my own home to grind some more as I want to be able to use the plunder skill reliably.
Location: Shadow Palace FL 2
I am wearing a simple T-shirt and jeans under my Fae armor as I learned that wearing nice clothes isn't something that should be done in a dungeon as I am currently killing the multiple enemies that re-spawned and still somehow discovering areas that I haven't noticed before as I am currently in a small hallway as I am unlocking the door to a massive room as this room has five skeleton and three spirits in it as I fight for my life with my eldritch blast and holy sword and thankfully I managed to kill all these enemies and get to the chest they were guarding.
"Now let's see what you where protecting." I said before I finally cracked the chest open and got the loot.

I immediately eat the bean and fully recover everything as the plant blossoms and the parchment are placed in my inventory as I go back to making my way through this place as I decide to stop wasting time and attack the boss.
If I get stats or a skill, I will be lucky but right now I just want to move on from the undead floor. So, with that in mind I make my way to one of the previously locked away hallways as there are fewer enemies here as I finally come up to a literal fog wall as I walk through it with sword in hand as the boss room is large and basically a total rip off of the three skeleton bosses from Dark Souls 2.
Three robed skeletons with fancy looking robes descending onto the ground as their names basically say what they are.
Skeleton Reaper, Lvl: 19
Skeleton Pyromancer, Lvl: 19
Skeleton Rogue, Lvl: 18
The reaper has a scythe while the rogue has twin daggers and the pyromancer has sent fire balls towards me as I dodge and evade as the reaper and the rogue close the distance between us as I use my sword to parry and block there blows as well as using mana arrow to sent them back a bit and gain some distance as the reaper was slow and predictable but the rogue was fast and dangerous so I focused on him first as I attacked him with a series of slashes before I finished him with an eldritch blast to the skull as he evaporated into smoke as the pyro skeleton then started adding more pressure with the fire balls.
So I had to run around him as I focused my mana and trusted it as I managed to create a shield over my hand that I used to block the fire balls that managed to connect as I had to slow down to focus on creating this small ward as I closed the distance between the caster and myself now as it tried backing away and I easily tore it apart since it lacked any up close battle ability and lastly was the reaper that I just destroyed with a series of mana arrows and eldritch blasts before the fog was at the exit of the room faded away and revealed the way I came in plus a new series of stairs leading upwards to the next floor.

"Awesome." I said as I left the dungeon and returned to the real world.

"Alright. Now I have access to the third floor of the palace as well as the other dungeons I managed to unlock." I said with a cheer of happiness as I could help but be happy at my progress.
Anyway, after putting my armor in its inventory and changing into a simple grey tank top and black boxers I sit on my bed and open my alchemy kit as I finally have time to learn how to use it as it is a large box like a science project as I put all the items in my inventory before moving to the kitchen.

"Now I have tones of ingredients so let's get to work." I said as I grabbed one of the mortal and pedestals as well as a bunch of my alchemy ingredients and began making potions.

"Alright that's all I've got for now." I said as I put the potions and poisons in my inventory before I decided to get dressed in a dark hoodie and jeans with sneakers as the sun is still outside, so I simply head out to wander around town for a bit.

"I wonder just how strong I need to become to prevent canon from happening?" I asked myself as I am totally saving Asia from her fate but even with my skills and abilities as a makeshift battle mage, I am not sure if I am strong enough to save her let alone gain her trust since she doesn't even speak Japanese when she first comes to town.
"Damn all this thinking is a total pain." I said to myself as I walked the streets. "Wait is that who I think it is?" I asked myself as I saw a brown-haired girl standing in front of an alley squatting down and reaching her hand into a small box.
Aika Kiryuu, Lvl: 6
Two Sized Scouter
"Are you alright?" I asked her as I walked up to her and saw that the object in the box was actually a black cat that was currently swiping at Aika. As she then looked at me.
"Yes, I'm fine but I'm trying to help this lost cat. Which isn't easy." Aika said as I looked the cat over and I was tempted to observe it until I saw the information above its head.
Kuroka, Lvl: ?
"Well maybe she's sick or hungry or something. I can take her to the vet if you want." I offered as keeping tabs on this cat is a double edge sword, but it is a risk I am willing to take because gaining her trust can unlock powerful allies like Vali and Son Goku.
However, she could also just kill me which is the downside or she could escape when I am not looking which is why this is a double edge sword but still this risk is something worth taking.
"That would be great but why are you helping me and who are you? I've seen you around the school in the college courses but otherwise we haven't interacted with each other or anything." Aika said as she wasn't wrong and is certainly sharper than people give her credit for.
"Well, I happen to love animals and I've seen you around Katase and Murayama so I trust that you aren't a bad person and thought it would be okay to approach you." I told her before she gave me a curious look before deciding to let me help.
So with that I pick up the box and take Kuroka to a nearby vet where she actually let them examine her before deciding to give her back to us as I ended up adopting the cat and had to buy a lot of cat stuff and a crate as Aika and I exchanged number so she can see how well Kuroka would be doing at my place.
So, now it is simply just me and Kuroka living in my house as I let her out of the crate and set up her 'temporary' room in the laundry room where I gave her a bowl of food and water as well as it was the expensive premium stuff made out of real fish as Kuroka was eating it up.
I guess she is part cat after all so eating cat food in this form won't cause her any issues or anything medically speaking.
"Alright girl. It's just going to be you and me for a while." I said as it was getting late, so I called it a day.

"So, why am I here?" I asked as I was excused from my normal classes and seated here in the student council room sitting in a fancy chair across from Sona who sat behind a large desk and Tsubaki who sat in her own seat in the corner as there was also a chess set on the desk as the two of us were playing a game of chess due to her insistence of it.
"You're here because I would like to have a friendly conversation with you Shu-san." Sona said to me as she was easily winning the game.
No surprise there.
"You can just call me Xander." I told her as she then nodded her head.
"Alright Xander-san I want to ask. Do you believe in magic?" Sona asked as I don't really see any point in lying to her since it serves no purpose, and they can probably sense my increase in power.
"I do because I am a novice mage. Souna-san but whenever I bring up the subject people tend to think I am joking or something." I told her as she didn't miss a beat in the game or in the conversation as she easily won the game before continuing to talk.
"Well, Xander-san since you are a mage, I can tell you that magic and the supernatural are real things but before we continue can I see proof of your magical abilities?" Sona asked me as I raise my hand and with focus, I create a small blue sphere of mana before I reabsorb it. "Well I must say it is certainly impressive that you can use your inner mana so precisely as a novice so please remain calm and let me fully explain the world of the supernatural to you." Sona said before explaining the in's and out's of the supernatural world.
As well as the last holy war and the fact that she is a devil as Sona didn't waste time and simply spoke clearly and calmly as she almost seemed to get this out of the way quickly instead of Rias as she just explained things as they came up as Sona also gave me bonus information on the various other supernatural factions of the world.
"Well, I didn't think the supernatural world would be as big as you say it is, but I also didn't think it would be a small world either, so this is going to take some getting used to." I told her it truly is a lot of information to take in all at one time.
"I understand but the reason I am telling you all this is because I want to warn you about some of the very real and clear threats that are appearing in Kuoh in the form of stray devils" Sona explained before she explained what stray devils are and how truly dangerous, they can be to even the most experienced devils.
Now to be honest I am truly surprised that she isn't trying to recruit me but then again, I am a novice, and I am probably not worth the time at the moment or maybe she is trying to protect me. Who can say but I can certainly say that Sona and I are going to be friends at least as she is more than willing to talk to me about things as long as the subject interests her.
"Well, this has been interesting to say the least Kaichou but I must be going now." I told her as we bid each other goodbye before I begin making my way out of the school courtyard before someone stops me.
"Hey Xander-san. Wait up a moment." The familiar voice of Katase said as I turned around and saw her, Murayama and Aika together coming up to me. "Aika told us about what you did and now we want to see the cat too." Katase said before I ended up taking the girls home to see Kuroka who surprisingly didn't leave and was resting on my furniture.
She was quite feisty to everyone but me apparently since she even let me pick her up and everything as she purred in my hands and made the girls jealous before they all leave my home and I call it a day since I don't want to start grinding and teleporting between dungeons with Kuroka around watching me.
That is just asking for bad attention from her boss since she will probably ask me to take her to the dimensional gap and when she finds out I can't she will erase me from existence.
I'm practically shivering at the thought of it.

Authors Note: Okay another chapter done and it took me a minute to write to be honest but I think it came out okay. Anyway, tell me your thoughts and remember to fav, follow and review please.
