7. Favorite villain

The arrow flew towards its target.

"Kagome!"

"Inuyasha, no!"

The hanyou leaped in front of the projectile, shielding the miko from the attack. He fell to the ground and she rushed to his aid ignoring the still present antagonist laughing overhead.

"Ahahaha! Even Inuyasha is helpless against my arrows!" the thunder cloud laughed.

"Inuyasha, are you alright?" Kagome knelt beside her fallen friend, touching his shoulder.

Inuyasha lifted his head and looked at her blinking in surprise at the fact he was fine. The girl was puzzled too. kneeling together they discussed the fact that the arrow had not pierce his back.

"Here, give yourself a poke," the hanyou snatched the next arrow flying at him out of the air and offered it to Kagome. The girl carefully poked her hand with it and the arrow fizzled away with a smell of ozone.

"Oh, that may do wonders on my stiff shoulder!" she exclaimed.

"See?" the boy grinned somewhat dazedly at his companion. Just a second ago he had been throwing himself in danger for her, but now all the tension was gone from the pair.

Then, after catching the underling of their foe, they went to defeat the villain.

.

The formidable monk and slayer duo were climbing out of the pit hole.

.

And the little Shippou fought his most formidable opponent to date. Acorns and mushrooms flew through the puffs of smoke, crayons scattered on the floor and the thunder youkai screamed at him to give up the fight. Fox fire and lightning crashed and papers flew all over the place.

'You are an awful lot stronger than I would have figured," Shippou told his opponent. It was only right to admit to your foe that they were formidable.

"Of course! I think who do you think you were dealing with here," the thunder youkai smiled arrogantly.

"Alright!" Shippou exclaimed. "I'm gonna get serious!"

"Hm! So am I!"

The battle rage on, the two youkai giving all they got. At last they fell to the ground.

"Hey, Souten! Isn't it the time you gave up?"

"Yeah, you're one to talk! Which means more to you your life or your crayons?"

That was when a call could be heard.

"Shippou!"

"Inuyasha!" Shippou jumped to his little fox legs, the pile of Souten's acorns disappearing from around him.

"Inuyasha!" Souten rose too, alarm clear in the little youkai's voice.

And, when Kagome rushed the villain that had sent Shippou the challenge, to shower the small child with hugs, the battle was ended. The kitsune of justice prevailed and in a show of generosity gave Souten his crayons, telling her to leave the patch of vengeance and bloodshed..

Truly, that was the end of the kitsune and thunder youkai feud.

A/M: You said 'favorite'. And I decided to write about my favorite filler antagonist. And you said villain. There was the villain theme for Souten in the episode.
