Hey, this is Undying Soul98- time to insert the kinda obligatory profile summary. Just a bit about myself, since practically everyone has some stuff on their profile. I am a recent graduate Computer Science now working as a software developer, I live in Britain, have a passion for playing video games, reading, writing and watching anime, and think that plot is the most awesome thing for any piece of media to have above all others. I started reading fanfics by accident and was repelled by the idea that the fic I read was actually decent, due to the whole stereotype of all fics being written by hormonal teenage girls. Eventually I got over the subsequent self denial, head-bashing-against-walls and secret middle of the night fic-binges to admit that I liked fanfiction. I haven't looked back since, and then began to write my own stuff after realising just how much Sturgeon's Law was giving me bad fics, in the hopes of giving back to the community after some of the terrible reads I had seen. On another note, I entered a writing competition throughout all of Yorkshire a few years back called Photofiction 2014 and somehow came third place out of all the hundred of people in my age bracket across Yorkshire. Apart from that, there isn't much else to say about me save for the fact that I should probably go to a TV Tropes Rehabilitation Group due to just how frequently I Wiki Walk the hell out of that site. Real Name- this information isn't presently available Age-20 Gender-male Education: complete! You can't drag me back in! Likes- tabletop RPG's, anime, video games, books, writing, well written , children's card games, (Because who doesn't) computers, Italian food and chocolate. Dislikes- mushrooms, ridiculously railroaded campaigns, Twilight, vampires (In their modern depiction), ridiculously poor spelling, when a character build fails because one class feature is worded in just the wrong way, filler arcs, ignorant people, hypocrites, writers block and long update times on fanfics. Favorite Fandoms- Fate Stay Night (One True Fandom), Worm (Pretty damn close second), Naruto (Largest number of anime fanfics, ergo by Sturgeons Law, greatest number of GOOD fanfics), One Piece, Harry Potter, Gravity Falls, Steins Gate (Wish there was more), Familiar of Zero, SAO (The fanfics, not the actual series), Highschool DXD (Again, the fanfics, not the anime), Code Geass, Fire Emblem, Persona (Preferably 5 at the moment), RWBY, Dresden Files (Too good a series, too little fanfics), World Only God Knows. Dream- You know... I don't really know. Once I dreamed of making my own game, but I'm a cynic at heart and I doubt I could pull it off. If anything, I think my more plausible dream is to be able to turn my storytelling hobby into a storytelling job (Whether in game form or otherwise). This can be contributed to by reviewing my fics and stuff (Wink, wink- nudge, nudge... again). Favorite video games: 1. Persona 5. Enough said. 2. Fire Emblem Three Houses- A brilliant strategy game with plenty of content, interesting characters and a smooth combat system. 3. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate- its... so... damn... addictive... 4. The Zero Escape series. And yes, I am including an entire franchise as opposed to one game, whas it to ya? 5. Xenoblade Chronicles- Best JRPG to come out in recent years. Seriously, just go out and buy this rare jem. X and 2 are pretty dang sexy too... Now that my sales pitch and advertisement is done, time for something completely different... Favorite Anime: 1. Steins Gate 2. Fate Zero 3. Gurren Lagann 4. Madoka Magica 5. Code Geass Story Ideas/Challenges Just a few ideas for future fics I might plan on writing if I ever ACTUALLY finish any of my fics. Or if I get writers block. I have a TERRIBLE habit of starting additional fics when I have bursts of inspiration or are stuck in my writing. I like all these ideas a lot though and I would love to see them done right, so feel free to consider these challenges as well. If you yourself actually want to have an attempt at writing one of them, just give me a PM telling me so, as well as giving me a link once its posted so that I can have a read and let others read it too. A Certain Demon Summoning Caster Fate Stay Night X Shin Megami Tensei-Devil Survivor Sakura receives her Command Seals a little early and as such summons a different Servant, a Caster who fought against God and won. How will the Fifth Heaven's Feel change with a certain King Of Bel competing? -Simple enough. Protagonist from Devil Survivor after the King of Demons ending (Where you take over the world then wage war against the big guy up there) ends up being summoned as Caster by Sakura. Some stuff you might want to do is have Medea instead as Rider but with her Argon Coin as a Noble Phantasm instead of Rule Breaker. Also, if you want her to summon a Servant I recommend Naoya. Feel free to stick in a second war for the King of Bel... that'd be pretty cool. Just don't make Caster TOO strong, limit his strength due to being a downgraded divine entity or some hogwash like that. Strawhat Warlord One Piece The Marines decide upon a very different strategy to deal with the Strawhat Pirates, with the invasion of Ennes Lobby proving how quickly the rookie pirates were growing. Surprisingly, when Garp comes to track down Luffy it wasn't to arrest him, but rather to offer him a job opportunity and the remaining title of Shinchubukai. -An idea of 'why the hell not?', I've never seen a Warlord Luffy fic, and it COULD happen. While sure he wants nothing more than to be the Pirate King, I'm also certain that he'd do anything for his friends. I could see him becoming a Warlord if the offer was good enough: the amnesty of his crew (Especially Robin), a promise to prevent any Marines from hindering his adventures, and a few other things you'd need to think of. No doubt this would provide very different dynamics in future arcs, especially Thriller Bark and Sabody, as well as the Marineford War. Childish Dreams Pokemon Ash finally awakens, and must set out on a new adventure; an adventure much darker and more morbid than he remembers. After all, he had to be the very best. "Time to put childish dreams away" -Pretty much one huge continuation of the Ash's Coma theory. Just continue where the creepypasta left off and follow through the story too its natural ending. Fate/Stay Broken Fate Stay Night In the closing stages of the Fourth War, the Grail manifests atop the Temple rather than the other options, and this change causes all the difference. Much to nobodies surprise, taking an Excalibast head on is a Bad Idea and much of the mountain is destroyed- consequently the Greater Grail below takes some damage. Luckily, it was fixed... kinda. It was a rushed job, and was still basically a broken mess- but a USABLE one at least. Suffice to say, with seven abnormal classes, fictional Servants and faulty Command Seals Shirou Emiya (Despite not being in the Fuyuki Fire at all) is gonna have a bad time. -Two motivations and ideas for this one- firstly, if I did this idea I would look at what could happen if the Grail manifested where it did in the Fifth War rather than the Fourth, and secondly I would want to look at the whole Fictional Servants idea with the abnormal classes giving me new and interesting choices of people I could shove into the war. For this War, some divergence would obviously occur before hand, including a non-Magus raised Shirou (Or alternatively a different Shirou depending on how you write it) and demolished temple, as well as a greater Einzbern influence in Fuyuki as they are forced to rush in to try and patch the Grail damages. The Servants I would use and their classes would be as follows (Though of course, feel free to change what you want): -Servant Badass: A class of the cool and awesome, one who embodies the very concept of what most heroes are perceived to be- badass- Harry Dresden from the Dresden Files, because come on- he IS a badass, and it would be worth including him purely for his memetically powered Zombie T-Rex. Naturally Kamina also qualifies... obviously. Less obvious choices could include Skitter from Worm or the One Punch Man (Though the latter would be horribly broken). -Servant Hunter: Sometimes a hero is remembered not for they are, but rather for what they've killed in their lifetimes- a Hunter from the Monster Hunter series armed with all the weapons they are capable of using within the game as well as all their tools and items, maybe that guy from Shadow of the Colossus, or alternatively a character from RWBY would be awesome- though which of the group you choose would be up to you (I would personally use Pyrhha or Yang so we get some female characters) -Servant Guarder: Often the hero is the unnamed man who stands against the darkness and protects the innocent, while some heroes are remembered solely for who or what they guard, whether it be an ideal, place of person- Mike Schmidt from the FNAF first game. An unusual choice, but I can't help but imagine how his NP would work and how it would be played more strategically than other Servants- I would portray his powers as Five Nights At Freddy's, a NP that allows him to summon the animatronics of the series- where over the course of five days he is able to summon more of them and their powers increase, but he is ultimately as suspectable to being attacked by them as anyone else (Forcing him to mimick his game and have to monitor their positions and keep them away from himself and his Master)- while on the last night he may summon Freddy Fazbears in all its entirety and every animatronic he fought, before it resets to the first and needs recharging. bodyguard charaters suit this role, while knights famous for defending people do as well (You could come up with lots of people that fit this bill). -Servant Shonen: Because a strong hero isn't enough- they've gotta start off weak, get power ups and ultimately fight for friendship or something- pretty much any shonen protagonist of your choice, whether it be Naruto, Ichigo or Luffy- I would use the latter, purely for some variety, though other shonen characters are available besides the big three. Servant BigBad: Come on! Everyone always likes and remembers the villain more- All manner of villains are available for this title. If you want traditional you could go with having Bullshit-All-According-To-Plan-Aizen himself as this and have him troll everyone, or you could go elsewhere and have Voldemort, Asura from Soul Eater, Satan-Homura, Father from FMA, Jack Slash from Worm or even Lelouch Vi Britannia under his Emperor persona if you want to get clever and technical. Servant Summoner: A class that doesn't know the meaning of one on one, that is weak alone (Normally) but whom usually makes up for this with the allies they are capable of calling to arms- I would personally choose the MC to either Persona 3 or 4 (More than likely the latter to stop things getting too OP) or use Red from the Pokemon games, who is capable of summoning all 151 original Pokemon that he was synonymous with as the Pokemon Master. Servant Gunner: Some words of wisdom for you- MOAR DAAKKKKKKKAAAA!-Revy from Black Lagoon would be cool for this role, since she would add both sass and firepower to this war. While not the strongest in terms of NP's or stats, it would still be cool to see a gunslinger try and fight off everyone else. Alternatively, for this role you could have Han-Shot-First himself, Mami Tomoe, Seras Victoria (Perhaps even Alucard himself) or Duke Nukem if you fancy the cheesy catch phrases. Sevenfold Turnabout Ace Attorney X Game of Thrones Jamie Lannister looked on with a small smile on his face; he had clearly found a man just as special as his brother to defend him in court. "Objection!" the lawyer screamed, and Cersei practically exploded. -Okay, really strange idea, but hear me out. When I same Tyrion's trial scene, I was like, "That sucks. Their judicial system sucks. The only system almost as sucky was..." and thus, I looked to Ace Attorney. Basically, Jamie Lannister somehow hires Wright to defend his brother in his sham of a trial for Joffreys murder. How this happened, who knows? Does it matter- as it can easily be handwaved. But the idea once it gets going- just what would happen if someone truly dedicated to justice sought to clear Tyrion's name? I imagine that Phoenix would truly set the realm of lies aflame. Already I can imagine the entire thing- it begins how it normally does, with him barely scraping a day of investigation through bullshit theories. And then, the trial would continue, and unearth literally EVERY dark secret. Using the Magatama to find secrets, Phoenix against another unruly woman in the form of Cersei, the trial unearthing the truth of Joffrey's heritage, the crippling of Bran, and maybe even ruining Petyr. Sure- idealistic. But Ace Attorney. Not sure quite how you'd tie every plot together, but it would be fun. I imagine that seeing Wright react to the worlds justice system is worth it alone. I imagine he'd have a darkest moment in the trial- with Cersei offering him the position of Master of Justice in the Small Council and the chance to truly reform the system... if only he sacrifices Tyrion and refuses to press on for the truth. Obviously he sticks with Tyrion to pursue the truth, but its a cool thought. Plus- I can't help but want to see Ace Attorney style break downs from Cersei, Petyr and Tywin (The latter whom would likely serve as the metaphorical 'prosecutor' in this scenario). Not The Devil You Know Highschool DXD Issei realised pretty early on that maybe being in the employment of a Devil with a capital 'D' was probably a Good Reason for why he should have stayed dead. In a world where he is now one of the bad guys, and where the good guys are just as bad and if not worse, Issei strives to find a place for himself... -Now this challenge comes from the idea that the main characters for that anime series are devils, and the only logical second step is a fanfic where the devils actually act like their namesake. In this fic Rias and all other devils are not necessarily EVIL but they are morally questionable and will use all underhand methods to get what they want, so that includes killing, seduction, torture and other such unsavoury things that Good Guys don't do. Just as an example, Rias standing back and letting Issei die is a bigger issue, while she and several others in her Peerage use their looks and Issei's weakness to women to effectively seduce him into staying with them- because he has a goddamn Longinius, and Rias as a Devil would be a fool to not capitalise on simple weaknesses of the flesh. So I'd probably go with a character arc where Issei slowly wises up to things, but still refuses to break ties with people he considers friends (And whom may actually be friends with,as just because they manipulated him to stay doesn't mean they can't like him), while through meeting with figures from other factions he slowly realises the world isn't black and white. I'd probably make these realisations make him decide to place his freedom first, leading to him going Stray- something I've never seen occur. To match the tone, feel free to give the other two factions a lesson in Jerk-Ass-ness, so that means Templar Church, Overly Righteous and Unforgiving (Shin Megami Style) Angels, Dickish Fallen Angels and Asshole Chaos Brigade, all of whom are just as questionable in their actions. Finally, replace harem shenanigans with brutal realism where people actually die and War is Bad. Afterwards, shake it around and give Issei some realistic character growth. Good Girl RWBY Cinder needed the rest of the Maiden's Power, but she couldn't deny how slippery that Ozpin could be. So instead she would infiltrate his bastion, claim a team, help stop the 'evil' White Fang and make him select HER as his Maiden Candidate. Then initiation happened, and she ended up in a team with Ruby Rose, Pyrhha Nikos and Blake Belladonna. -Cinder wandered around Beacon for-fucking ever without getting caught by Ozpin. He didn't even see her there. So that made me wonder what would happen had she infiltrated sooner, in Season 1, and the intention of infiltrating the inner ranks and gaining Ozpin's trust so he'd lead her to the Maiden. Still- what's the long term story goal? I guess it would be a semi-Redemption fic, with Cinder gradually becoming a better person due to being surrounded by the all the damned Cinnamon Rolls on her team. I imagine her undergoing a bunch of character growth, with her ending up still mostly selfish, but dedicated to her new team. Never Had A Friend Like Me Worm Taylor's desire for friends manifested in mystifying ways, leading to her finding three amnesic girls sleeping in her home when she returned from the hospital following the locker incident. However, its bit hard not to see the problems with the trio, especially when each of them are Capes with powers scarily familiar to the three Endbringers that had just vanished. -I've seen one or two fics where Taylor alternate triggers and gets the Endbringers, but I haven't read one where instead of turning them into cute critters they become actual humanoids. So in this one Taylors power is that she can turn Endbringers into humans and attract them to herself, effectively using her Administrative privileges to usurp control from Ediolon. You can play it for a mixture of humour and seriousness, dealing with Taylor trying to hide her new Friends oddities, finding a place for them, and dealing with teaching them. Factor in the Endbringers being human for all intents and purposes but also being slightly Uncanny and you have some funny material. On the other hand, deal with the way the world reacts to their biggest threats disappearing. You should also focus on the characterisation of the three Endbringers: Behae, Siggy and Levi. How would they react to finally learning that in truth they aren't humans but instead giant monsters with a killcount in the millions? As for powers- scale them. They start weak, but they can force themselves to have stronger abilities in return for losing Humanity. What If... Hinata Was A Yandere? Naruto Pretty much what it seems like- there are no massive differences. Naruto is dead last, Sasuke is revenge driven and the Fourth still died. But, Hinata's devotion to Naruto got... a LITTLE out of hand. Thus our little Yandere worms her way into a certain demon containers heart, one bloody murder at a time. -All this idea came form was that Hinata's stalkerish character could have been pretty Yandere had she been less meek and if one gave her actions a slightly darker tone. Still, it'd be interesting to see Hinata murder her way through the competition. Sakura would likely be the first love rival to get the chop, and it might be funny if Hinata misinterpreted Naruto's focus on Sasuke... as something other than totally platonic friendship... leading to her targeting him too. Team SMYL RWBY X Multi-Crossover Not every team can be as perfect as Team RWBY or Team JNPR. Sometimes grouping can be a little... hit and miss. A grieving gunner, a ravenous brawler and a hero wannabe all come together under the leadership of a swordsman better suited in a lab. Suffice to say, Cinder's gonna need headache medicine. -Basically my attempt at a RWBY crossover that uses characters from other settings to make a team, then to see what happens and how they interact. I picked Shulk from Xenoblade, Mami from Madoka Magica, Luffy from One Piece and Cynthia from Fire Emblem because they're not exactly the normal choices of heroes, and they''re interaction would be awesome. The way I see team dynamics going, Luffy would be the partner of Cynthia and they'd be the pure energy of the team, united in their attempts to have adventure, eat food and be as hammish and unprofessional as possible, while Shulk would try and unsuccessfully keep them in order and Mami just kinda facepalms and covers for their mistakes. -In terms of the characters, I'd fuse their settings into RWBY canon. For example, Luffy would want to be a Hunter but his grandpa wanted him to join the Military so ran away, while his dad is a revolutionary trying to overthrow the government. Luffy himself would fight with gloves and boots that expand up his arms and legs, and that can be fired off on a chain to reproduce his signature stretching power. Shulk would have been a researcher of Dust until his home was destroyed by Grimm, so he leaves with an experimental weapon to get revenge- his Semblance would be the power to have visions of the future, and his past with Zanza could be interpreted many different ways. Cynthia would be a princess of a foreign country who loves to fly and can pilot a bullwing easily, but wants to go out and save the world instead. Being a second princess she gets away with becoming a hunter and uses a modified spear that can use Dust to fire off her signature Fire Emblem spells like Elwind and Archfire. Mami would have the more tragic past, being a second year student who was the leader of her own team until they all die in the field due to a mistake on her part, resulting in her joining the first year team due to odd numbers and becoming Shulks partner. She would fight with a bunch of musket like guns, and her Semblance would be telekinesis so she could carry and use all her guns at the same time. -As for the other plot elements, how their worlds characters appear and how the group effects the plot, is all up to you, though I would add more villains in to fight against. The Phantom of Brockton Bay Persona 5 X Worm A story told a thousand times- Alt!Power Taylor as you'd expect it. When Taylor fails to Trigger in the Locker, she instead snaps within her principals office after she personally sees all her problems swept under the rug just one more time. The Authority screwed her, and she'll get revenge- changing the hearts of the worst in Brockton Bay, one Calling Card at a time. -Not even a difficult story idea to understand. Basically, Taylor with the power of the Wildcard, and the ability to manifest the Metaverse. It would likely follow a Persona approach to story telling, being quite episodic in targets, and would deal with Taylor's development and interaction, while her band of thieves would grow each time (probably being non-powered characters: perhaps her other party members could include Madison, Greg and perhaps an Untriggered Aisha). But what of the targets? It would largely depend on the depiction of Metaverse given whether Taylor could target ANYONE or if she is limited to the few who can naturally produce Palaces, but some clear choices exist. - I imagine Emma or Sophia would be a good first choice and give Taylor the motivation to become Phantom, and might explain how Madison would be recruited. Her Palace could be based on a Jungle, due to her Predator/Prey fixation, with herself a Queen and a Cognition Taylor that she abuses. - After this, she could move onto larger targets. Maybe the CEO of that Pharmaceutical company- the one who is actually Kaiser. I imagine his confession would stir up curiosity and a hellalot of suspicion in the PRT- Master/Stranger Protocol's galore. Could go for a Nazi Germany-eque vibe for the palace, all militarised with a pleasant, cheery outer facade hiding the darkness, violence and corruption. - Maybe a Protectorate member. Armsmaster would be interesting, though I think Alexandria confessing about Cauldron would be a pretty cool endgame event - A Jack Slash arc might be an interesting choice somewhere along the lines, perhaps a potential final Palace. It could be started when he first enters Brockton Bay, but is too difficult for Taylor to tackle, requiring her to go again later. Plus, imagine how cool a Jack confession scene would be. Queens Sacrifice Fire Emblem Awakening Lucina's plans to change Fate go off without a hitch, but Fate demands a price to be paid in return for the life of a woman destined to die. Emmeryn must learn to cope with the responsibilities of being a Wartime leader, after the strongest piece on the field sacrifices himself to protect the 'King'. Meanwhile, Robin must assist the Exalt and come to grips with the blue haired girl that looks so much like a friend he once knew that keeps stalking him. -Simple divergence. What if Emmeryn lived? Well, things would be different as she was a far different Exalt to Chrom, and I couldn't help but think that the story would remain largely the same even with her survival. So instead I wondered- 'What if Chrom died rather than her'? A far more interesting question. So yeah- Chrom gets captured by Gangrel, Emmeryn desperately seeks to free him, and then Chrom takes her place in sacrificing himself to stop himself being used as a hostage by the enemy. Naturally, without Chrom Emmeryn would HAVE to take a more active role in the coming conflicts. Her peaceful nature would interfere with many things though. I imagine that after Chrom's death she would be at her darkest and would likely almost abandon her ideals to see Gangrel die (But I also see Robin pulling her back from the abyss). As for Valm- I could see her trying to take a more diplomatic approach to things, so who knows what would happen there? And the Falchion? Emmeryn might just have no choice but to pick up the sword. Or, on the other hand, here we can use Lucina. She came back in time to save Emmeryn and change the future, and she succeeded, but in return she killed her dad. Oops? So yeah- hers might be an interesting plot line to cover. Would she be slowly fading away from existence due to the lack of her conception occurring? Or would she take up Falchion in her fathers place? Final point- pairings. I kinda want Robin X Emmeryn. I think it would fit nicely. ZeroTale Undertale X Zero Escape When Frisk fell, he awoke not in a bed of yellow flowers, but in a locked chamber on the verge of flooding. Upon escaping he learned he was not alone, and that freedom was a far harder path than even he expected. "Welcome to the Nonary Game. There is only one way to leave this underground complex. Through the number 9 door." - A Zero Escape suggestion, because god damn it I love that series but haven't once posted a challenge for it, and the series needs all the love it can get. So, a fairly typical crossover really, but one that is quite well suited really. The timeline shenanigins really match up, and the theme of escape and difficult choices is persistent. So yeah, this ain't a direct cross, but rather a thematic one. Nine Undertale characters wake up in a complex under the hotlands, with explosives in their stomachs and detonators on their wrists. Character wise, these are the ones I'd suggest: Frisk, Papyrus and Sans (Parallel to the siblings in 999, and because shit would go DOWN in the timelines where Papyrus dies), Undyne, Alphys (Dark past, anyone?), Monster Kid, Toriel (You have to have at least one token Totally Good Character), Flowey and another person. Other characters? Maybe Mettaron is the AI/Robot in charge of the facility, while Zero can be whoever the plot demands (Chara, Asriel, Asgore). Either way, I want timeline shenangins, and for it to get pretty murdery. Regret Persona 4 X Worm After Golden Morning, Taylor desperately tries to move on. But one does not simply move on from slaying gods and doing the wrong things for the right reasons easily. Seeking to 'retire' and live out a peaceful, meaningless existence, she ends up moving to Inaba for work reasons- but will have to challenge her past in a way she never expected. -Simple premise where post story Taylor winds up in Inaba due to Reasons (I dunno, gets involved with a foreign company or something), and ends up joining the Investigation Squad as a mentor or something. The story would primarily be a story of regret and forgiveness, beginning with Taylor falling into the TV world and having to face her Shadow, to her eventually coming to terms with her past through her new bonds. As for her Shadow, I'd go with a Bug like Superhero theme for its battle form, and use swarms primarily for its power. Her Persona could be Atlas, though having a final form of Khepri might be ironically interesting. Psychologically, all of Taylors problems and past will be thrown onto the table for the Squad to deal with, and Taylor must manage her regret for past as a villain, her actions as Khepri, and her feelings of uselessness as she will never achieve anything of importance now with her life. Also, there would be conflict between her and the teens due to her being a war veteran from a REALLY dark world, and them being, well, teens. Different approaches and what not, plus her ruthlessness. You might want to also incorporate the Queen Administrator into the plot somehow, and if you really wanted to you could do a more strict fusion of the settings by bringing more Worm aspects into it (Scion showed up there during his rampage, Triggers occur, Taylor's old friends appear to find her, enemies appear to try and take off Khepri's head, Nyalthorotep and Igor's master are Entities, etcetera). Issei Gremory Highschool DxD The multiverse is a big place. In one of those many worlds a single change occurred- Issei was born the heir of the Gremory family, while Rias was born a Hyodou. And so the world shuddered... -On the one hand, a funny AU where the roles are swapped. Issei is the leader of the Occult Research club with his Peerage, while Rias is the new Boosted Gear wielder recruited in. On the the other, you can get quite serious. This one change can have a lot of repercussions- Issei as a character would likely develop differently with the mantle of heir hoisted upon him. He would also be unlikely to handle Rias' recruitment the same way- having Issei leave Rias to die then recruit her would be seen very differently to how it occurred in canon. You could also do other AU changes if you want. For one thing, no conflict with the Phenex family as Issei would likely be engaged to Ravel Phenex and be quite satisfied with the whole thing. Heavens Survival Game Fate Stay Night X Future Diary Deus ignores John Bacchus' idea of using the Future Diary's in his survival game and instead follows one of Muru Muru's whims by replicating an idea she read in a Manga, the Heaven's Feel. For Yukiteru Amano, shit hit the fan when he realized he was stuck in a battle royale between 12 extremely powerful legendary hero's. -Now this would be pretty cool if anyone actually did it. I mean, come on! Instead of handing out diaries Deus gives out Heroic Spirits, while contestants could learn Magecraft. Tell me this doesn't sound awesome? -I'd personally pair Servants up like this, although do as you will. -First: Assassin, any of them would do. -Second: Frankenstein's Monster or Lancelot as Berserker would be a pretty good fit (A monster seeking acceptance from someone else and has a habit of killing said subject of affections close ones, while Lancelot is just badass). -Third: Gilles de Rais as Caster (Two serial Killers are better than one) -Fourth: Medusa as Rider. -Firth: Nursery Rhyme as Caster. -Sixth: Medea as Caster. -Seventh: Have two Servants, preferably Diarmuid ua Duibhne as Lancer and Modred as Saber. -Eight: Hundred-Man Hassan as Assassin. -Ninth: Joan of Arc as Saber (An Athiest terrorist teaming up with a Catholic Saint. Its just as good as it sounds like on paper) -Tenth: Cu Chulainn Proto as Lancer. -Eleventh: Gets Gilgamesh as Archer (He has to be there somewhere) -Twelfth: EMIYA as Archer (How would EMIYA deal with a Master who has an obsession with sentai hero's nearly as large as Shirou's hero boner? It. Would. Be. Amusing!). -Meanwhile, you could even have a Ruler or Avenger acting as well. Miracle Nasuverse (Fate Stay Night, Tsukihime- that universe) In the twilight of the Fourth Heavens Feel, a wish was made and the world suffered. Over a thousand years early, the Planet Died, its final death cry heralding retribution from beings much greater than anything the World had ever seen. Ten years later in an uninhabitable wasteland the Types arrive, prepared to kill off the maggots infesting the dead carcass of Gaia, while a futile Humanity seeks one last Miracle. The Final Holy War begins... -Damn I love the Nasuverse, its a world of badass. I always did like the short story Notes in the series, although it was never very popular. I wished the apocalyptic future it described had its tale fully told, and then after I realised that the Magical Girl Ilya spin off involved a universe suffering from this problem too damn early (Sort of), I began to wonder what would happen if the events of Notes occurred in the modern setting with the Modern characters? I thought a bit more, then this popped out. -Bit of explanation for this, basically Kotominei wishes for 'the world to die', then it happens sort of literally and all of the World Evils targets the LITERAL world. Gaia and Alaya then team up to protect their metaphysical selves, the Beast of Alaya and Counter Guardians give it their all, but Angra corrupts them and spams corrupted Gil with Third Magic, literally eats Alaya, the will of Humanity, since all the Evil in the World includes all of humanities Evils and self destructive traits, so makes Alaya end itself, then proceed to kill Gaia. Gaia lets loose a final death cry, the planet becomes uninhabitable, then a delayed reaction brings the Types attention to Earth while ORT kills off South America and is moving north. About this time, Grain is polluting the planet bit by bit and humans are dying by the bucketfull as crops refuse to grow, livestock die and humans have no breathable air to... you know... breath. Plans are made to use the Holy Grail system on a worldwide scale to harvest the remaining Mana left in the world, and enact one final Heavens Feel to grant a Miracle to do Something about the shitty circumstances. -Backstory prepared, do what you will with it. Who participates and what Servants are your choice, as well as how many appear. Hell, go all Fate Apocrypha with this and have many more Servants than seven if you really want. How the Types are used and who deals with that, your choice. How Humans are managing to struggle on, your choice. Do Shiki and Shirou become memetic badass best friends on the front lines, while both have a harem of their female (And sometimes male) cast for no apparent reason other than the Tohno and Emiya Gland? Well probably not, but it'd be pretty damn cool. Game Of The Gods Pokemon The Legendary is an impossible ideal, and the Gods of the Pokeworld are real. Ash Ketchum in his naturally charming way gains the favour of a certain Legendary, but the consequences of this go beyond what even he could imagine. For he is a Champion now, and the Game of the Gods in nigh. The Chosen are gathering, the Gods taking favourites, and the prize announced: passageway to the Hall of Origin. The question now is if Ash will survive to see it. -To summarise, one giant battle royale featuring all sorts of Pokemon characters. Each legendary selects a Champion to represent them in the Game, and must fight each other to the death until only one remains. Naturally Ash doesn't want the prize, but there is little choice but for him to press on. In many ways this is his chance to be the very best like no one ever was, but on the other, to get to the end he will have to pay dearly for his dream. So yeah, Ash would be picked by either Mew or Latias, but everyone else is open. Note, one Champion per Legendary, and only one of each. Obviously some of Ash's friends must take part (Maybe May with Manaphy, Misty with Suicune, Serena with Xerneas and Brock with Regirock). Whether the Legendaries themselves appear is up to you, as I could very easily see each Champion being capable of summoning their patron. Why the Game happens is another matter entirely. Still, there are many Legendaries, and likewise, you can pair many characters up with them. Go wild. Still, we definitely need SOME villains appearing. Trust Nobody Gravity Falls A darker world. An older set of Pines twins being sent to Gravity Falls. A town far grimmer and malicious than Grunkle Stan could ever hope to cover up, where everyone has secrets, a triangular eye watches over all, and Dipper takes the 'trust nobody' warnings far more seriously than in canon. -What is initially seems on the tin: a darker and grittier version of Gravity Falls where the whole thing is played straighter. Older cast, the whacky humour toned down, and the danger level raised accordingly. Factor in healthy paranoia, and stuff. Do some interesting things with Bill, older Gideon, the Stan's altered backstory and a more malicious Time Police and Hidden Society and you have yourself a fairly serious plot. The Devils Fruit Worm X One Piece Two entities travelling through space eventually find a suitable planet to continue their Cycle upon. A blue world of little land mass, four Seas and a Grand Line. So these two entities give their gift to the world- the Devil Fruit- and watch as conflict grows under their careful watch. Hundreds of years later and the Cycle is nearly finished. The world may not realise it yet, but Cataclysm is nearly upon them. -Recently got into Worm and it almost instantly blossomed into a dozen plot ideas. This one basically came from my observation concerning how similar the worlds are, at least in terms of mechanics. While Eden and Scion appeared on earth, there are still hundreds of other Entities out there, and its pretty easy from there to link it to 'what ifs' where these entities take part in other series. One Piece is a world of almost constant conflict, with mysterious powers granted to humans by a 'Devil' through a fruit... and said eaters proceed to use their powers creatively. Now doesn't this sound like the kinda thing an Entity would provoke... -So in a nutshell, the idea for this fic is that a different set of Entities settled on the world of One Piece, and that they have a different way of continuing their Cycle. One of them gives out his shards in the form of Devil Fruits, manipulating their placement to be found or eaten by people suitable for their power- the eaters are then able to use the powers and beta test them for the Entity, while when they are ready to Seed they become the seeds of new Devil Fruits. The other passively affects the whole of the population- gradually increasing their natural ability to survive (So is responsible for humans in one piece being so tough, and for the iffy usage of Physics in that universe) while handing out powers to specific individuals (So was responsible for the power of those Normal humans in One Piece like Mihawk who still seem to have some sort of power). Together the Entities proceed with their plan, facilitating Conflict in their hosts which resulted in the conflict within the Void Century (The hidden history is that powers, fishmen and other such things didn't exist before then) and the buildup of the Pirates VS Marines VS Revolutionaries conflict. -The plot itself of the fic should follow once canon starts with Luffy, but will need to deal with the fact that by this point in time the Cycle has been going on for hundreds of years and the Entities are almost ready to end the world, reclaim their shards and continue the Cycle. You can go where you want from this, modifying events and the setting to better give it the feel of the Wormverse, but the plot is yours. Does anybody know of the Entities? Are Artificial Devil Fruits the result of Vegapunk trying to act like Cauldron? Will Luffy do a Skitter, or will his journey be different? All these points are yours to use and modify. Good luck... Reclassed Fire Emblem Awakening Slightly different childhood changes lead to vastly different combatants, slightly different personalities, and a different role within the past they intrude upon. - Just an attempt to play around with Reclassing, but mostly just trying to see if I can come up with alternate starting classes/pasts for all the Shepard's Children. So far, the ideas for such changes are as follows: Lucina: in the Dark Future is forced to throw herself deeper into the role of killing and slaughtering, and ultimately her combat style changes too- rather than emulating her father she develops her own, and ends up with the Myrmidon Class, which later becomes the Assassin Class. The role of guardian killed her father, so better to slay the fiends in front of her before they can even reach her friends... Owain: taken on his 'Odin Dark' persona way earlier, and chooses tomes and Staff as his weapons of choice, in memory of his mother, and so he can support his friends from the rear, which results in him being a Sage/Dark Mage. Noire: chooses to vastly separate herself from her mother, ultimately becoming a healer like a Cleric to heal people rather than hurt them (Matches her normally meek demeanour quite well- though she truly becomes a monster if you dare invade her ward, harm her patients, or if her patients don't take their damn medicine). Morgan: Cannot remember much but knows they can use a sword and tomes- ergo, clearly they are trainee Dark Knights. For that is the only explanation! Admittedly they don't seem to be able to ride a horse that well, but I'm sure they'll remember how to in time! (Or, at least pick up the skill pretty quickly). Kjelle: due to her mother refusing to teach her to ride a horse, she chooses to learn to ride something else- a Pegasus. In the sky, this knight is always the first the protect a comrade. Laurence: favours his brain above his brawn, so advances further Academically, eventually become a Tactician- for without a Robin of their own, there would be no hope. So he slips into the Tactician role for Lucina- albeit quite badly sometimes. Brady: taught noble topics such as riding, and takes to it easily, and as such when war comes a'calling he becomes a Cavalier because that was the best role he could help out in. Inigo: without shame he takes on the Dancer class, like his mother. For their is no shame to be found in being an inspirational force to his allies- nor is there any indication that being a Dancer doesn't mean that he can't impale his enemies with his swordplay as well. Severa: in an effort to differentiate herself from her mother, she chooses a different mount- a Wyrern. Naturally, her abrasive personality means that she bosses dragons around just as much as she would eventually boss any male suitor around. Gerome: I dunno. Fighter? Take the batman analogies further to make him a stealthy Thief? He's the hero his timeline needs? Cynthia: born as the child of Chrom, and greatly admires both him and her older sister. As such, seeks to use them as the baseline for her 'Hero' image, effectively resulting in her taking on the noble career path of Lord. Yarne: he was so terrified of being hunted he basically tries to hide his heritage and stay out of the fighting. Thus, the only path was that of the Archer. He'd hunt down those that sought to hunt him first. Nah: even the smallest of girls has the largest heart; even the smallest of Manakete's still hit like a truck. And this truck is an actual dragon Knight/General. As in a Dragon form Nah in full-plate armour. The Risen fear fighting this one... Familiar Of The Crown Familiar of Zero Louise was never born as a failure, instead she was raised a prodigy. A certain princess however, grew up powerless and worthless, unable to cast any conventional magic. The result of this; Saito experiences a very different summoning. -Basically Louise is talented, so much more egoistic than canon. Henrietta is the Void user instead, so a failure in the Royal Family, changing her back story a bit (Louise was more confident than her, so became Wales childhood love instead, while Henrietta was the one considered a laughing stock). She then attempts to summon a Familiar as a last chance to prove she could do Magic during an assassination attempt. As such, I think Saito would develop differently, being forced to kill for his princess to save her, so becomes more serious and battle orientated. What you do beyond this is up to you, just make the story a bit darker and more serious than canon, while giving Saito a spine by the end of it. A Game Of Magic And Crowns Familiar of Zero War encompassed the whole land, and the monarchy struggled for dominance while the peasants starved and fought. In a world where conquest was found in the blood of all royalty, and where all fought to unite the world under a single banner- like Brimir once did- then was it truly wrong for Henrietta to want to do the same? If someone had to do it, why not her? Void Makes Right... -Really a branch off from the previous story idea about Henrietta having the power of the Void (Although her having Void isn't strictly needed since the idea can work without it). Since I'm in the middle of reading a Song of Ice a Fire, I wondered how FOZ would change had things been a bit more like one of the bloodiest pieces of literature on the market. Not strictly a crossover, just an idea on what if the various countries and Royal Families were more geared towards trying to follow in the footsteps of Brimir and ruling the world rather than in having harem shenanigans. Make this bloody, brutal and awesome, with badass wars and politicking, and stick in some incest purely as homage to the inspiration this came from. Then shake it up a little, throw in the Void users and their apparent Holy status, insert a young princess who only wants to help her people but realizes that the only way to truly change the world and remove the outdated class system is to enter the Game of Magic and Crowns and see what happens. One Piece 40K One Piece X Warhammer 40K Luffy had but one dream- to be the freest man in the entire world. Disregarding his Imperial grandfather he becomes a Pirate, and has an entire galaxies worth of adventure to find. Along the way he deals with: Rogue Traders, the ire of the Imperium, Xenos species and more. - Basically a universe fusion, taking One Piece lore, characters and plot and reforming it in a far grimmer setting. As soon as I started playing Rogue Trader I just couldn't help but imagine Luffy in a ship of steel, sailing not through the treacherous Grand Line but rather the Warp. Certain things translate between the series more so than others- the Crew members in particular. Nami would make a fine Navigator, Ussop a sniper, Franky an Explorator (Or more likely a Heretek) and Nico Robin a dangerous Psycher. But the others? Zoro would be a close ranged fighter still (Probably with Chainsword), not sure how Chopper would be introduced or Brook (Skeleton= friendly Necron somehow?) and what about Luffy without his stretching powers (Unless he's a really freaky mutant). Other lore works fine though- the Shinchubukai are Rogue Traders, Fishmen are translated to other Xenos species, Vegapunk is a Tech Priest, Marines are replaced by Imperial Guard and the Space Marines, Devil Fruits with Demons. A much darker tale than canon, but a journey amongst the stars is still possible. Generation Gap Worm The younger generation takes after the older, and must inherit a world shaped by those that came before. A young Jack Slash learns this when he joins a new band of Supervillains headed by the recently Triggered King. -We've all seen the 'Jack replaces Skitter' idea, but how about we go further and replace all the newer, younger characters with the older generation. Armsmaster a veteran, founding member of the Protectorate, a different Cauldron team (probably including Dinah, Tattletale and Labyrinth), a Skitter leading an older Undersiders in a role reminiscent of Lung (Or maybe doing her switch sides ideas a decade or so earlier, becoming a high ranking Protectorate member with habit of taking in former villains and getting results), Amy instead being the mother for Marquin and Bird Caged warlord, Glastig Uainigs role replacing Noel as the new threat (While Noel is the Cape cloning boogieman imprisoned within the Birdcage), a different Triumvirate and maybe even a different order of Endbringers (Maybe with each serving a different role- like the Sigmurg taking on the Hero Killing role with its Tinker powers and super-duper telekinesis, Behemoth being a greater threat to the cities it invades with its radiation and earthquake powers, and the Leviathan being able to manipulate Capes through controlling the water in their bodies). Basically, go mad. Any youngish character can be given any role you choose from the elder generation, while the older gen characters will instead be Wards or newer groups. Divergence of the Goddesses God Only Knows The World God Only Knows Keima's search for the goddesses turns out very differently, especially as all six of the Jupiter Sisters turned out to be hiding in the girls he least expected them to be in. -AU of the the Goddess arc, where the girls Keima is forced to romance are different to the canonical ones. This naturally leads to different interaction and different continuations of the captures. -Diana: you could keep her in Tenri if its necessary, to make it easier for the story to diverge, but alternatively Asami from the light novel. -Mars: aggressive girls. Aggressive girls everywhere. Mio, Kusonoki, or maybe Minami. -Minerva: Aoba Fuse would be an interesting change to Shiori while still possessing some of the traits required, although Jun as a teacher might also work. -Apollo: a tricky choice, as Kanon really was the best fit. Hinoki or Chihiro are the only ones I can think of, though the latter might be interesting, as an interesting parallel to Ayumi being a host in the canon timeline. -Vulcanus: Mio or Nanaka. -Mercury: Jun might also be a fit here, as would Minami. Flames of Summer Dresden Files Its a pretty clear fact that Harry Dresden had always been better at setting fires than putting them out. Circumstances unfortunately led to his fires getting an even bigger power up than just Hellfire or Soulfire. -A Dresden as Summer Knight story. How he takes on the role is ambiguous- recruited by Titania after Summer Knight to pay off the Summer's grudge against him, or perhaps he went to other help than Mab to storm the Red Court. Either way, he gets some very different problems when he takes on the Mantle. A Crown Of Data Digimon When an average teenage male is chucked into his favorite childhood anime, there is normally a purpose behind it. Not this time. Due to a random bureaucratic error, I found myself stuck in the Digimon anime. Without a reason for being there. Without a Digivice. Without any allies or Digimon. Without any of the key members of the plot, how will I survive this 'data eat data' world? Simple answer- without any aid, I'll damn well make an empire! -Really random idea. Following reading Garden Of Babylon, I was re interested in the Digimon fandom, and this idea was the result. Basically, a Self Insert where a character falls into the original Digimon 01 but is separate to the main cast. Not having brought there by any gods, or not being part of any plans, the first part of this story is survival. Just how DOES he survive encounters against beings like Digimon (Particularly like Champions and Ultimates) when he has no convenient Digimon partner around to help? Consequently, he becomes a Badass Normal and a master Pragmatist to survive. Second part will occur once he manages to finally meet a Digimon willing to help him- the two's adventure. However, no Digivice so no Deus Ex Machina Digivolutions- so much like stage one, but with one more piece narrowly allowing survival. Stage three- he makes a name for himself, beating tougher Digimon than his basic Rookie. Stage four- ??? Stage five Profit! Or rather, he somehow recruits an army... haven't thought this far. So yeah, stupid idea, but ultimately 'why not?'. What a Beautiful World Sword Art Online Kirito was always a loner, a Gamer, a Beater. Yet, even as he fought through 100 floors, he couldn't help but understand Kayaba- truly, his creation was a wonderful thing. Like a rose, it was a beautiful thing that he could objectively respect, yet it was also dangerous. He begins to empathise with Kayaba far more than even he ever expected, when Cardinal developed far more than even its creator had anticipated... -I'm surprised nobody has had this idea yet- Human Cardinal. Basically, if Yui was able to gain sentience through watching the players, then why couldn't Cardinal, a far more powerful and expansive system? This would actually be a pure romance story with an emphasis on the relationship that develops between Kirito and Cardinal. The former would be slightly AU, by assuming that he never really got close to anyone (Effectively cutting out his side story's with Asuna and the others), meaning that his objective Games Developer side came out fully when he only really had the game itself to occupy his thoughts with. The other side of things is Cardinal, where the system begins to think for itself without Kayaba's guidance. It would still do its job of running SAO (As was its purpose), but it would watch, and use NPC's as fronts to interact with players. It would be under the appearance of NPC's that the duo's first encounters would be had, with Cardinal growing... curious... about Kirito due to the way he interacted with the NPC. While Cardinal watches all players ALL the time, it starts to take a personal interest. As for the overarching plot- that's up to you. I'd tackle the realism of an effective AI loving a human, and the fact that Cardinal MUST and WANTS to continue its purpose, putting it at odds with Kirito's slightly more moralistic approach as she fights to kill him and his peers while he seeks to escape. I'd also want the relationship to last beyond SAO, with perhaps Cardinal using its independence to escape its own destruction, effectively reducing it in power and perception to a Yui level- where the majority of the romance could occur. Either that, or accelerate the romance and begin it earlier, then have the story end with Cardinal's destruction. A tragedy where despite love Cardinal either still chooses to accept its end (Or has no choice but to), and where Kirito lets her do it because he loves her, knows she isn't/doesn't think like a human, and knows this is what she wants. Cues him taking after Kayaba and becoming a games developer in a Distant Finale. King of Monsters Naruto X Monster Hunter Naruto fails to summon a giant toad in the canyon-he summons something very much less friendly. And so he learns that if he wants aid, he needs to pry it from his monsters bit by bloody piece. - Basically different Summoning animal Naruto, capable of summoning any Monster Hunter creature, but with the condition beforehand that he needs to hunt them first. Maybe he needs to summon them into the Elemental Nations and then do the deed, or has to reverse summon himself to them. Either way, he has to beat em up to respect his authority. Re;Stein Steins Gate X Re:Zero Okabe, a man surprisingly similar to Subaru, takes his place in blinking into a fantasy world. Yet, a surprising amount can change from a slightly different individual appearing. -Came about from realising how similar the main leads for Re:Zero and Steins Gate are. One is an over the top science nerd who puts on a false mask of Mad Scientist for others, while Suburu is always cheerful to mask his trauma and problems. Plus, both have the whole time travel thing going for them. So yeah- I figured that if you swapped them, they're characters would act very similarly. Then I realised that actually they would be quite different in many ways. And that these differences could easily diverge from canon. And that you could actually make quite a good fic out of it. -So yeah, Okabe replaces Suburu. Some obvious immediate differences: Suburu was much more physically fit than Okabe, so there's no way he can deal with the thugs in the alleyway, or keep up in an actual fight without lots of training. Two, his scientific background (Kinda) will probably means he notices the loops earlier. Three, his interaction with characters would be different to how his personality differs. Four, how he tries to manage the time loop would also differ. So I'd use Okabe as an excuse to diverge from canon early (Maybe running away from the place where he dies in the first loop when he returns and sees them alive, much how he did in canon with Kurisu). Another thing for the fic would be how the Reading Steiner comes into play. Cause Okabe isn't really a normal person, as he's always shown the ability to remember events of the last world line. So while he was granted the same power as Suburu, his own personal nature should come into play. Maybe Okabe's magical affinity should be different to Suburu, being an obscure concept like Time rather than Darkness. Plus, at the mansion I could see him requesting the use of the library to learn magic/study the world, or instead asking to be allowed to set up the Future Gadget Lab V2 (Magical Addition!). Cue him trying to recruit everyone, and Betty reluctantly drafted in as an unwilling assistant. Digimon Mystery Dungeon Digimon An amnesic human turned Agumon awakens to a Digital World in crisis, and partners with a friendly Gabumon in order to join a Digimon Guild in the hopes of unraveling the secrets of his past. However, the two friends can't stay anonymous for long, as they are drawn deeper into the trouble destroying the world. -Basically, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is my childhood. There are plenty of good fanfics for this, but it would be interesting to see a Digimon version of the same idea. In short, more of the same... but with Digimon. Make a plot yourself, decide the crisis, characters and other elements, but stay true to the original. Engrossing story, vast adventure, introduce Mystery Dungeons, interesting characters and the general spirit of adventure. In addition, make levels less important. Much like a Charmander could beat a fully evolved Pokemon like Venasaur if the levels were right, an Agumon can fight Champions and above (Unless you decide to do a plot that involves Digivolution). A Fools Story Fire Emblem Awakening X Persona When Robin awoke, he was amnesic- empty. And the thing about being empty is that you are filled with all sorts of possibilities... "Now I have to deal with Persona's and these Social Link things. I'm starting to wish I could just use Tomes or something." -This came from hype for the new Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei crossover, but also from how similar the Support conversation system is to Social Links. So this story is basically just based around Robin getting the powers of the Wild Card from Persona, so can summon multiple Personas, and how he needs to form bonds with other characters for power ups. So it would be expected that from the main cast Robin will need to Social Link those with respective Arcana's. Yes, that includes romances. I'd say have five levels to the links instead of ten (D rank, C rank, B rank and A being the heighest- but S being possible for romantic cases). So yeah, totally cool with a harem fic- Pimpin' (As Robin shall be known) would end up surrounded in harem-y shenanigins as he accidentally romances multiple people and has inner moral dilemmas "Huh... playing with maidens hearts and potentially crushing them... or gathering a harem and getting a power up... tough choice". As for where this goes, your choice. Shadows could make an appearance, as well as other Persona users, perhaps you could create a new overarching story surrounding some new 'mystical' phenomena, and how it ends is also up to chance- though I could totally see Robin pulling a Minato on Grima. Seriously, it would be seriously cool. As for whom would be each arcana, here's a few possible ideas anyway: -Fool: relationship with the Shephards as a whole. No idea for the others- might add to this later. A Pocket Fulla Irony Pokemon Reincarnation is a pain, and Karma a bitch. After drowning, I woke up in the Pokemon universe as an egg. 'Oh boy!' some would say 'Isn't it cool to be a Pokemon!?'. However, others would say 'God damn it!', especially when the Pokemon in question isn't strong, powerful, or cool at all- but rather a Magicarp. "Like hell am I staying at the bottom of the food chain!" -A humorous idea about a Self Insert waking up as a Magicarp. Suddenly the Pokemon world is much more dangerous when literally everything can eat you. As for plot, this story should probably be about the Inserts struggle to survive, and how he tries to use his wits to keep on top of all the other local Pokemon's attempts to eat him. For example, he figures out how to weaponise Splash... and persuades his brethren Magicarp to all band together and fight their enemies, since a hundred Magicarp throwing themselves at you will probably do some damage. For extra laughs, have him be caught by one of those Fisherman trainers whom have a a full team of Magicarps that never evolve- imagine his struggle to get stronger when he has no chance to train and is constantly the target of every fresh trainer on the block. A Whole Lotta Noise Durarara Stuff is going down in Ikebukuro. Gang wars, corrupt corporations, murders and immortals are only some of what this tale holds. Which tale is this though? But who is the villain and who is the hero? A police inspector struggles to uncover just what the hell actually happened. -Durarara is the spiritual successor to the much superior Baccanno, so this is my idea for a reboot written version that follows its original in terms of story, themes, structure and implementation. There should be a greater focus on the narrative (Which must be told non linearly) with the supernatural playing a greater role. Immortals from the original series can also make an appearance should you wish. All I beg for is that this DOESN'T turn into a Yaoi fic. God help me if I continue to find not one good non-yaoi Durarara fic due to the site being plagued by this menace... The Empire One Piece In one world they were divided, each an Emperor of the New World, destined to oppose one another. In another though, they united together and conquered the Grand Line under a single banner- that of The Empire. -We've seen ideas where the Supernova's or the Warlords were on the same crew, but how about we take it further? What if Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido and Shanks united early on in their careers and became a legitimate threat against the Marines? Without the constant infighting progress through New World is much quicker, while the Marines are singular in the warfare they wage on the faction. Meanwhile, Straw Hat Luffy sets out to sea and to a Paradise with a far greater Marine presence, in a desire to steal the title of Pirate King from underneath the greatest titans on the planet. Likewise, Blackbeard sets out to change the world, and finally destroy the dominance of the Empire. Team Blake RWBY Unfortunately, out of her team, Blake was the only actual person with experience in carrying out missions and in leading. Considering Ozpin knows everything, was it really unexpected that she was pushed forwards to a leading role for this very reason? -AU where Blake ends up taking lead in the fight during initiation, using her White Fang experience to lead the operation. Thus, she leads. Not sure what to do with names though. BRWY/BWRY- first bit for bright? BRYS for Berries? Either way, Blake being in a position of authority will change the dynamic of the group, lead to a very different character arc for her, and push the group into a more defensive stance against the White Fang as her instincts to protect her team begin to override her desire to hunt them down. Bigger Problems Digimon Tai and Kairi never expected to wake up with a giant dinosaur in their home- it was doubly surprising that they then woke up in its home- the Digital World. A young pair of siblings grow up together in unusual circumstances, watched over by their shared partner. Then eventually six other children arrive... -Digimon AU where following the Greymon/Parrotmon clash both Tai and Kairi are whisked away to the Digital World years ahead of schedule. Collectively, the two of them would be dual partners for the Giant Agumon, and actually don't obtain a Digivice until later on, so are together through bond alone. Later even with the Digivice's given to them (At around File Island) small Agumon and Tailmon don't exist, as the children already have a partner. Giant Agumon is effectively as strong as two Digimon its level (As seen in it beating Parrotmon, an Ultimate, at only a Champion level), and will eventually be able to reach Ultimate and Mega level but requires both partners for such an outcome- due to their combined natures, perhaps he even takes a different form. You could also include Biomerging if you wanted. As for how the siblings being in the Digital World effects the plot, that's up to you. I imagine that at first they would be surprised to see humans after so many years, and might be distrustful, but is also likely to be leadership material. Depending on where in the Digital World they end up though, they might end up missing the first arc of Adventure. Also, after season 1, due to living there for so long they'll probably choose to stay in the Digital World with their partner. Naruto: Remixed Naruto The simplistic shonen story of a Ninja, of a hero, of Chakra and of Naruto- what a joke. No, the Elemental Nations were far harsher than that. How would things change for the world if Ninja's acted as their namesake, people stopped holding the Idiot Ball, techniques were abused and the Eldritch Monstrosity/Genius Loci Tailed Beasts were the legitimate threats to the world that build up suggested they be? This is Naruto- Remixed. -I could fill a page up on everything wrong with Naruto. Like, a literal thesis on the series. However, I won't, and cant be bothered to. The setting was good, I like the fanfics and there were good points, but I can't help but wish Kishi had done some things differently. So here's me throwing out the idea for an utterly AU Naruto-verse where things are a bit differently. Naturally techniques like Henge will make more sense, Ninja's will be freakin' Ninja, shonen style will be tossed out the window (So fighting a superior foe will end with you dying nine times out of ten no matter the friendship speech you give) and where The Tailed Beasts reach their full potential- I'm sorry, but I dislike the canon portrayal of PHYSICAL MASSES OF CHAKRA! STOP HUMANISING THEM! AND BEFRIENDING THEM! THEY LEVEL MOUNTAINS! THEY SEE US AS ANTS! THEY PROBABLY HAVE VERY DIFFERENT MINDSETS AND INHUMAN PERCEPTIONS COMPARED TO HUMANS, VERY DIFFERENT CONCERNS, AND EVEN IF THEY COULD UNDERSTAND OUR PETTY THOUGHTS THEY STILL SEEM TO COME OUT PRETTY FAR ON THE INHUMAN SCALE! THANK YOU, GOOD DAY! Rant out the way, go wild. Change as much or as little as you want. These were just one or two ideas, so feel free to go wild. Nakama is Magecraft Fate Stay Night X One Piece The Grail was destroyed, but the fallback of using the Second True Magic to do so was apparent. Shirou, now stuck in a world of pirates and marines, must set sail to find the secrets of the Void Century if he wants any chance of finding a way home. All with his... reluctant... crew. All seven of them. All stronger too. And all Servants. -Typical 'Grail is destroyed' crossover shenanigans, with Heavens Feel Shirou (Or other route Shirou if you can make it work) being dropped into One Piece. The unique thing here though is the company- he awakens with seven sets of Command Seals, and all of the Fifth Wars Servants somehow Contracted to him. Basically Incarnated, the Servants have lost their invulnerability to modern items and had stat drops, but are capable of fighting. Anyhow, plot occurs, and basically leads to them becoming a pirate crew and going off to try and find the Void Century, due to Casters suspicions that Mages were involved there. Crew wise, I'd have: Captain: Shirou ironically ends up with the job due to Reasons (Being the only one 'technically' capable to reigning in seven Servants who all used to want to murder each other) First Mate: Saber, with her obvious Charisma score and her connection and loyalty to Shirou. Chef: Archer, obviously. He would also spend most of his time blatantly ignoring the orders of his Captain, spending most of his time treating this adventure as a temporary 'vacation' from Alaya. Naturally friendship will eventually occur. Navigator: Berserker, since he somehow has some classical knowledge of sailing he can apply when not in a berserking rage. Doctor: Caster, being the only one with any healing Magecraft. Shipwright: Caster seems like she is REALLY pulling her weight, huh? Helmswoman: Rider, due to her A Rank Riding. Spy: Assassin True, though you can choose to use False Assassin and assign him to be 'guard' or something. Cabin boy: Lancer, because he is ALWAYS the butt of jokes. Avenger could also be trolling around somewhere, and don't assume that the taint of Angra Manya is truly and conclusively gone... Divided Avatar The Avatar Cycle broke with the Death of Aang in Ba Sing Se- and its power divided. No longer could a single figure wield all four of the elements. However, balance must be maintained. Thus, the job was divided between the four closest 'acceptable' hosts available. -Basic AU where Aang dies, and the Cycle is broken. However, due to Spirits Bullshit, the Avatar's power is divided in four and given to four different people, empowering them but also forcing responsibility upon them. The hosts are the closest people in proximity to Aang when he died but whom also had the qualifications to be a suitable Avatar. Representing Water Katara is picked to bear water (Or for the lols, Sokka), Fire chooses Zuko, Earth chooses Toph and Air chooses Ty Lee (I dunno, old air bending ancestor?). The story then follows them in four POV's, and deals with them overcoming the loss of Aang and the responsibilities thrust upon them to tackle the spirit world, give up their heritages (A particular problem for Zuko and Katara/Sokka) and defeat the Fire Lord. Power wise, each has enhanced power over their element to compensate for having only a partial amount of power, allowing them to reach new heights (Katara can eventually control water in bodies, pull it out of the air, manipulate clouds; Toph just gets more badass with Bonebending, seismic control sand control and alchemy; Ty Lee will eventually learn to fly, pressure bend and stuff; Zuko can pull heat from stuff until it freezes, control volcanoes and manipulate the environment). A War Of Thrones A Song Of Ice And Fire The seven kingdoms were never united, the Targaryens did not forge the Iron Throne and Dragons still dance in the skies. And yet, as things change they also stay the same, because War is coming, the Others are awakening and the same players are rolling the dice. Just because Westeros wasn't conquered in the past doesn't mean it cannot occur in the future... -Pretty clear divergence- what if the Targaryens didn't win the Game of Thrones? This sets the scene for this AU fic. Set it in the present timeline, so Dany and Jon and the others can make appearances, but how the seven kingdoms interact is up to you, as well as what other divergences occur. Seven Blessings A Song Of Ice And Fire Or: What If The Seven Did Just As Much As That R'hollar Guy And The Old Gods? In other words, Magic is returning, the Others return, Dragons fly once more... and the religion of the Seven finally starts to make an appearance. -GoT, I love ya, and your lore, and all the good stuff... but what the hell!? We got seven entire gods, yet I have yet to see a single instance of any of them doing anything. The Old Gods are more active (Green Seers, them trees, and all that), the Drowned God gets some love, while R'hollar seems to be the only god that grants legitimate power to those who worship him. So yeah- can we have some more Seven please? In this story, I have no clue where it would be taken... I just want them to do SOMETHING. Remnant Exchange Program RWBY Ozpin takes the initiative and suggests the creation of a Hunters Team made up of fighters from all four kingdoms to help foster relations. Consequently, Ruby Rose wasn't expecting to be asked to join in rather than going to Beacon with her sister when Ozpin found her stopping a Dust robbery. -Okay then, an idea that really should have been thought of sooner. Beacon really is the only Academy to get much limelight, and likewise most fanfics only focus on Beacon students. With this, we get some different character interactions, some new plot threads and a chance to explore the other kingdoms through the use of the team that would most likely go to all Academy's each 'year'. To be honest, you can pick whoever you want aside from Ruby (Because hello, she's the protagonist of RWBY) so long as they come from the other Academies, and you can pick who you want as leader too (Though again, I lean towards Ruby). -I would personally pick Penny to represent Atlas (Because we need more Ruby/Penny awkwardness), either the leader of team BRNZ or NDGO for Shade Academy, and Cinder for Haven (Since she claims to have come from that academy, though be lying or have replaced the other representative and because this adds all sorts of other dynamics to the group). Though again, feel free to mix it up with Sun or Neptune or anybody else you can make fit. Good luck with trying to make a name that fits, hahahaha (Damn you Monty for the team name rule)! Turn Of The Steel Magus Fate Stay Night X Umineko Shirou Emiya has made a new family with Sakura and Ilya following the aftermath of a slightly different Heavens Feel ritual... so he didn't expect to find out that me might still possess an older one. Welcome to Rokenjima... he who was once Ushiromiya Battler. -Playing through Umineko. Holy hell is it good. And hot damn is it good. So yeah- I wondered what sort of series would fit a crossover with it. Then I fell back on Fate, cos why not? Shirou has red hair. So do lots of the Ushiromiya family. Lets extrapolate from there. In this AU I would make it so Shirou was once Battler, but that the Fuyuki Fire wiped out his memories along with Rudolf and Kyrie. So yeah- my idea is simplish. Somehow Shirou is tracked down and proven to be of blood relation to Kinzo, so he is offered to attend the conference and meet his family, even if he refuses to take on the family name. Already there would be changes- no Kyrie or Rudolf, though I imagine Sakura and Ilya would tag along instead, with Sakura and Shirou taking on the 'parents' placements in the conference, while Ilya would fit in with the 'children' well (Particularly Maria). As for Ange- maybe she's taken in by Eva. In terms of timings, I'd likely age up a few characters to make timelines fit- with the Fuyuki Fire happening when Shirou is 12, the Grail War going down at 18, and the events of Umineko happening when he's 20. Naturally, a lot of other elements would need to be adjusted to make it work. -The real meat though. Magic. Lets be clear- this is Umineko set in the Nasuverse, so I would expect to make changes to it to make it fit, but the two do work together well. Kinzo could easily be a Magus with few Circuits, while the rest of the magic the family displays could come from instinctive prana usage. As for Beatrice? This is not a case of Human VS Witch- Shirou cannot deny magic. He IS a magus. But he can deny HER, and refuse to accept her with the stubborn belief he is known for, due to Sakura being used as a sacrifice. I'd expect things to change up a bit with Shirou at the helm, giving more emphasis on Shirou trying to create an ending where Sakura and his new family can both be saved alike. Also- witch powers manifest through REALITY MARBLES. Think about it. It makes a LOT of sense, doesn't it? Especially if the looping time of the island happens because THE ISLAND ITSELF is Beatrice's Reality Marble. Overwriting how the rules of magic traditionally work to fit her distorted worldview- creating the Metaverse within which the conflict occurs and allowing the Game Board to be made, and allowing Demons and inviting Demons and other entities into her Reality Marble to fulfil specific purposes. In other words, this fic would be Shirou would be working within the 'rules' placed upon the Reality Marble to clear Beatrice's twisted game- dealing with the consequences of a different Battler, the motivations of a different Beatrice, and the consequences of Emiya Shirou inheriting the burdens of Ushiromiya Battler. Twisted Reflections One Piece In one world Straw Hat Luffy gathered eight crew mates and fought against the other Supernovas... this is not that world. Luffy set off on his adventure earlier, and as such recruited those whom could have been his bitter rivals with into his Crew, while elsewhere a very different group of Rookie Pirates enter the Grand Line. -Three simple ideas roll together with this One Piece idea. What if all the Supernova's were in the same crew, what if the other original Straw Hats each made their own crews to pursue their dreams and took the role that the rival Supernova's once had and what if Luffy set off on his adventure a year earlier. Seems simple enough, but it offers lots of areas to develop and diverge from canon. I would personally have Luffy leave a year or two early to allow ample time for the other original Straw Hats to get their shit together and set off on adventures. You'd probably need to rewrite a bunch of the canon plot line as well in order to actually have Luffy meet all the other Supernova's too. As to whether you assign Zoro to Luffy because he is a Supernova or make him a Rival due to being a Straw Hat is all up to you. Walking Hand In Hand With Death Persona 3 Having Death sealed inside you changes a person. Minato could never summon Persona's, nor was he a Wild Card. Instead he acted as a boundary, forever separating Death from the world. His one and only power was to enforce the End, for Death was his Ally and Death was his power. -Simple idea where Minato lost the ability to summon Persona's upon having Death placed inside him, but instead he gains a different power. The Power to kill anything. Anything. Nyx included. Yeah, that's cool. He acts as a prison to prevent Death from being unleashed upon the world, and manages to persuade Death to become his ally in his future endeavors (Whatever you decide they are), which creates a rather unique situation when the events of Persona 3 come about. So no Persona's for him, no Social Links and maybe not even the SEES for him (Maybe, unless you wanted to put him in somehow). On a matter of power levels, try not to OP him too much, maybe imposing conceptual limits like with Shiki Tohno's eyes to stop him from killing higher level existences until he can understand their natures (And no, Minato doesn't have Mystic Death Eyes, just using it as a comparison). Servant Survivor Devil Survivor X Fate Stay Night Naoya's summoning program worked slightly differently, and connected somewhere completely different- the Throne of Heroes. Summoners now summon facets of Heroic Spirits, and the War for the Throne of Bel has higher and more destructive undertones. -Basically Devil Survivor 1 where all those mythological figures summoned as Demons are instead summoned as Servants. Naturally, there powers are reduced due to the 'Container', while certain Servants are weaker than canon due to vessels varying in degree. Basically, it explains why in game some super powerful Gods and stuff were only level 20ish, or stuff like that. Play with it how you will. Only Human Attack on Titan Eren's father failed to create the Titan Shifting Serum, changing the fate of many for both the best and the worse. Without the power to Titan Shift, a great uphill battle is nigh, for Humanity must defeat the Titans alone and weak, prey against predator. Meanwhile, in the Recon Squad Eren must rise to the challenge of taking his revenge through purely human means. -Basically an AU exploring what if Eren didn't have his Shifting powers. AOT always interested me because its premise of the weak forced to fight against the strong in a desperately unfair battle where the good guys often loose and frequently die. It was awesome how Eren died, I felt that it was a cool twist that they had built up a main character then brutally took him down. It almost made me sad when it became more Shonen in nature with Eren's powers and revival. So this story is meant to look into how the story would go if he didn't have his powers but was instead a soldier like any other, and instead looks at how Eren manages to have an effect despite his weakness. Naturally for this fic other main characters should also lack Titan Shifting (Though not the bad guys, because I'm evil) until at least near the end and only minimally, so Humanity must struggle and win against the Titans through other means like tactics, skill and sacrifice. The Meaning Of Legendary Fate Stay Night X Book X-Overs Heroic Spirit- the souls of legendary figures who's very existences are fed by humanities belief in them and lurk in the Throne of Heroes. Then again, not all legendary figures necessarily existed, so the Fourth War playing host to some unorthodox Servants isn't completely unexpected. -The events of Fate Zero but with all the canon Servants replaced with figures from literature. -Assassin would be James Bond, whom would have been summoned by Kiritsugu using his own nature to summon him instead of a catalyst. Bond has a Phantasm allowing him to use all of his different portrayed versions of himself. You could also use Skitter from Worm, as her methods of doing the Wrongthings for the Right reasons syncs up well with Kiri, while her murdering of Alexandria and Scion qualify her for the role. -Caster as Harry Dresden from the Dresden Files, the biggest badass ever, summoned by Waver. Harry proceeds to give Waver a lesson in awesome and teach him some of his own Magic. Alternatively, he could be a Rider and ride his zombie T-Rex into battle, which would probably be better anyway. -Archer as Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games, accidentally summoned by Sakura due to her secret desire to be free, instead of Kariya. -Saber is Jack Slash from Worm and summoned by Kotomine Kirei. -Lancer would be Thalia Grace from the Heroes of Olympus setting, summoned by Archibald. -Rider would be the Witch King of Angmar from the Lord of the Rings, summoned by Ryunosuke due to him performing the summoning ritual by accident using the copy of Lord of the Rings he had among all of his ritual tomes. Rider could have his steed or his dragon thing, either one would do. -The Tohsaka tries to cheat the grail this war, and summons an Avenger, getting Drake Merwin from Gone. Familiar of... Bel? Familiar of Zero X Devil Survivor Louise was blessed with the magic of the Founder, so should only receive an equally holy familiar... or perhaps an unholy one. Enter the King of Bel, one who managed to fight God himself to a standstill. One with the power of someone considered a god... the other, a slayer of one. -Louise summons Devil Survivors King of Bel, insert usual hijinks in this sort of crossover here. Make a big deal out of the Summoning aspect, tying the mythology of the Summoning Ritual closer to the Atlus-verse. A Magus' Student Fate Stay Night Kiritsugu Emiya pulled Shirou from the flames and healed him but ultimately decided against adopting him due to his imminent demise. Instead, Waver finds and adopts the hero wannabe and this will change the outcome of the Fifth Holy Grail War, perhaps for the best, perhaps for the worst. After all, Shirou was a Magus now, and he's in it for the Science! -Shirou grows up in a society of Magi, becomes competent and goes round having adventures in the Nasuverse involving Vampires That Definitely Do Not Sparkle before going into the Holy Grail War, where all combatants are powered up to be bigger badasses. Bring on a different Shirou with different ideals... he did it for the Science! Eight Digimon The Crests of the chosen children were never just Macguffins to achieve the next stage of evolution- they were oh so much more than that. -Idea where the Crests themselves actually served a purpose aside for character development and Digimon evolution. Each Crest is the the embodiment of a virtue, and each child is the child best suited for possessing such an emotion. Courage selects only the most brave, Knowledge only the most perceptive and intelligent- and so on. Therefore, this would be an AU of the first season where the Crests have a more passive role from the beginning of the adventure, and openly play a larger role once they are awakened. Each Crest would have a specific 'ability' specific to the virtue given, which was able to effect the partner of the Crest holder too, and would belong to a different tier of power determined based on the overall power of the concept. Level 1- Reliability: Gives the holder the ability to do something so long as they are reliably able to achieve it- effectively saving time and effort to do something already possible (E.G. being able to make a sandwich in a single second due to already knowing how to create it and having the materials). Level 2- Sincerity: The power to see and force things to be exactly what they are, translating to nullification of illusions and forcing the truth on others. Level 3- Knowledge: Something to do with the ability to gather information, probably spanning into knowing the position of every particle or 'data' in an area if taken to its max level. Level 4- Friendship: Literally gaining power from bonds. The closer in proximity the user fights to allies, the greater their power grows exponentially. Level 5- Courage: So long as the holder refuses to hesitate or falter or retreat, will be far empowered. Can inspire allies in doing so, intimidate the enemy and other such things. Should he hesitate or give into fear, the opposite occurs. Level 6- Love: The power to do the impossible. Much like how a mother can find unexpected strength and lift a car in order to save their child, so too can the crest holder do the impossible so long as they are fighting for 'love'. Can theoretically do anything if its for this purpose, though effects are temporary and short lived, and can include side effects. Level 7- Light: Purifying power, the ability to utterly purge the existence of Darkness. Level 8- Hope: Would probably be the strongest power, being able to do something like 'ensure hope always remains', effectively making it so that defeat is impossible so long as the wielder is able to maintain his hope. One Teenager VS The Multiverse Various Franchises/Anime I didn't expect to wake up in a fictional universe, be forced to flit across other various franchises, make lots of fictional enemies, get beaten up, question my own existence, get beaten up some more and most certainly did not expect to enter all of this without any power ups. So hi, I'm the Mutiverses new favourite chew toy. Taking bets on how long I manage to survive this mess. -I love Self Inserts, but the realism of such fics are low since as the writer and a character you have omniscient knowledge of the plot and so naturally your Inserts actions will gravitate to fulfilling said plot. So that's why I thought this would be a cool fic to attempt, since the one rule I have for it is that its coauthored with someone, so one will be the character and write their actions without knowing the overall plot while the other author is the one who fills in the rest of the story, kinda like a Gamesmaster. Also, I have a habit of being an asshole to all my Self Insets, and so this is expected to follow that rule. The Self Insert must start however the author really is in real life and must be portrayed as accurately as possible, so no miraculous powerups or edits. Certainly, he begins weak, and can get stronger, but it must never be easy. Actions must be spontaneous, so no before hand plotting and witty dialogue, just pure realism. As for the Gamesmaster... be an asshole. The Mutiverse is going out of its way to mess with the Inserts life and as such screw things up big time. If the Self Insert makes stupid moves and doesn't escape whatever fate you've written for him/her, then no magic rescue (Unless a Big Damn Hero moment is realistic and appropriate for the medium) or plot armour. Its a perfectly respectable way to end the fic if the Insert legitimately dies. So yeah: two authors, asshole Gamemaster, multiverse hopping plus realistic Self Insert equals Win! -Also, if you wish to do this but lack a second author, I am perfectly willing to take the role. Alternatively, if someone had interest in assisting me with this story, then I am always available via PM and would happily welcome the assistance. SAO- Uber Mode Sword Art Online CHALLENGE ACCEPTED: Td03 has taken the challenge with his fic 'Virtually Colorless': https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10718544/1/Virtually-Colorless Kayaba grew up in an age where games were difficult and challenging, where they were outright Unfair, and this origin of playing Nintendo Hard games shone through when he created Sword Art Online. Now step into a world where everything is taken up to eleven: when there are no safe zones, when the AI is horrendously nefarious and underhand, when bosses are mind numbingly challenging and when over 5000 people died during the first month alone. Will such a game ever be cleared? -Now this plot bunny is just the materialisation how actually SAO didn't really seem that much of a DEATH game, since it was fair in its approach and design and since people could stay out of danger and outright be brought back from the dead in some rare cases. So what happens when the game itself is geared towards being unfair and killing off as many players as possible? This does. -Make sure that all the checkboxes are ticked for making this game unfair, and remember that character death is advised. REALLY advised. No safe zones, over powered enemies, unfair level design, tricky bosses, one hit KO attacks from said bosses, low EXP gain and lots of Giant Spiders and Zubats. Naruto 1/9 Naruto When Naruto was learning the Kage Bunshin No Jutsu, he really should have payed attention to the instructions. Now, something has gone either horribly wrong or terribly right. There is no longer a single holder of the Nine Tails- but rather, nine holders of one ninth of the Bijuu each. Oh yeah, and they are all different Narutos. -Another AU "Naruto gains different power from the scroll" story, but one with a twist. Namely, the fact that a technique as used in the wrong way, and the consequences of this. Basically, the Shadow Clone Jutsu was used incorrectly, yet somehow due to the Uzumaki tenaciousness and the Kurama in his gut, rather than accidentally tearing himself apart Naruto accidentally splits himself into nine separate Naruto's- each representing a certain element of Naruto's character, but all being very real people, and all with their own Bijuu. -Original Naruto: As a consequence of his botched Jutsu, Naruto becomes far weaker in Chakra capacity as he was forced to sacrifice parts of his own reserves permanently to let his new 'family' have their own chakra. Consequently, Naruto goes into Team 7 still but must change as a Ninja as he cannot rely on overwhelming offence due to having only about Sasuke's level of reserves. More than this, his Affinity to all the elements was dulled slightly, making it harder for him to use Elemental attacks. Basically, a Naruto that has lost much of his potential but in return has gained a new, massive family- and so compensates for his weakness by working well with his family, and by using lower level Techniques to great effect. -Naruko: typical female Naruto. She also goes with Naruto into Team 7 (Making up a bunch of five person Genin teams). Has a lightning affinity, and so goes to Kakashi. Sticks up for Naruto and doesn't take shit from anyone. Funnily enough, this Naruko realises that she actually doesn't like Sakura now that she's observing things from an outside perspective. -Sneaky Naruto: inheriting all of the trickiness and pranking nature, he fits in easily into the stealthy side of Konoha. Apprentices with Jiraya to eventually take over his spy network. Possesses a Ying affinity (So geared well towards Genjutsu), and works well with Toads. -Nanako: another female Naruto, but a far less confident one. She craves bonds, and quietly seeks acceptance. Ends up in the same team as Hinata, being the fourth Genin in team 8. Nanako/Hinta pairing? Either way, she has a Wind affinity. Stubborn Naruto: inherits ALL the determination of his originator. He doesn't ever give up. Ever. Ends up with Team Gai as his affinity is towards Yang Chakra, so ends up becoming a physical beast and uses his Tailed Beast to reinforce his physical prowess, along with using the Gates. -Dark Naruto: Made up of all Naruto's resentments and fears and hates, he desires not to protect Konoha. Honestly, the only ones he cares for is his family. Fire affinity through and through. He joins no teams due to not wanting to help Konoha, but his bonds with his family typically forces him into action irregardless- perhaps Danzo ends up teaching him? -Hokage Naruto: embodies his 'Yay! Hokage!' mentality. He works well with most people, can follow a plan, and is pretty damn empathetic. However, refuses to give up on his dream of Hokage, and has become far more serious. Has an Earth affinity, takes up Sealwork, and works with Shikamaru's team. Turns out Minato's spirit dwells within this Naruto- influencing how the Naruto variant developed. -Kushina Naruko: another female Naruto, but this one with a personality based off his mother due to her spirit in the seal entering this one. Either way, possesses the Uzumaki bloodline powers of Chakra chains and extra longevity. Has the largest Chakra stores of all the Naruto's. Water affinity, but barely uses it. Apprentice to Anko. Normal Naruto: the runt of the litter. Unfortunately, he was made with the minimal amount of Chakra possible, being barely at Civilian level, and so its impossible for him to become a Ninja. In the end he ends up becoming a stay-at-home Naruto. He learns to cook and clean, and vows to always be there for his precious people. Just because he can't pick up a Kunai doesn't make him useless- he finds happiness in cheering up those around him, and in making sure his family his happy and stable. The part of Naruto that most desires a family- and the one that obtained it. "Sacrificing my career was worth it to become surrounded by all these special people.". Marries Ayame the Ramen lady. -So yeah, all of them comes together as the new Uzumaki clan. I imagine all sorts of shenanigans with all nine of them sharing a house... though regardless of their differences, they all come together on Ramen night. As for plot, I'd do a single POV per chapter, with early chapters dealing with how each of the nine adapts to their new status quo, and how there early missions go. Then, later on it would be dealing with how much canon fucks up. Unlike before with 'Tail Beast Spam' each Naruto has a lot less going for them. No longer is their chakra levels monstrous. There will be a greater focus on teamwork, and I imagine one or two might fall to Akatsuki. I can imagine a badass final attack though at the end where they all use a Rassengan together with all their affinities and powers. "Great... Uzumaki... Rassengan!". One Piece Alternate Tale One Piece There are always crossroads in time, but where do these odd chances and unlikely probabilities end up? This is the story of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, only... a different Crew, one gathered due to a whole unlikely chain of events. -Basically just a random idea where Luffy ends up recruiting different people to normal instead of the regular people he gets to join in canon, and then would be a look at how these different characters would develop, affect the crew dynamics and the plot. Now, you can pick your own characters, but here are my suggestions for who is recruited. -Zoro is replaced by Coby (Yes, him) who joins accidentally after the Marines aren't corrected on the fact that he isn't a Pirate. He'd act as the Navigator and complain the whole damn time. -Nami is replaced by Hachi, who'd be the crews Swordsman. -Usopp is replaced by Kaya from Usopp's home town, who acts as the groups Doctor. -Sanji would be replaced by Gin (Krieg's minion), who would choose to become their Chef (But starts off terribly bad due to his near starvation experience). -Chopper would instead be cut from the crew, staying at his home island, while Dalton instead leaves (For some reason) and acts as their Helmsman. Alternatively, you could have a Baroque Work's operative join. -Robin wouldn't join; instead Vivi would be recruited like many assumed she would be. Would become the crews Negotiator/Hostage. -Franky could be replaced by any one of Iceburg's repairmen, whom could act as the Shipwright instead, or maybe a member of CP9. -Brook might choose to go after Laboon, yet somehow Perona joins instead. She could be their Spy (Due to the ghost thing) or something. -You could still use other characters, these were just suggestions. And as for what changes happen besides this; that's up to you. Deathless Harry Potter When Voldemort fired that Killing Curse at Harry, the spell wasn't reflected. No- it was absorbed. -An AU story where Voldemort lives following killing Harry's parents, leaving the boy alive due to believing him dead after cursing him. However, his mothers protections turned out differently, instead absorbing the power of death in the spell, so he survived the spell, unable to die. For the setting, go nuts. Voldie lives, so who knows what happens with him. Likewise, what happens to Harry is up for debate. Either way, his connection to Death must be made apparent. Pale skinned and weak, his health is eternally bad, yet on the other side of things he's immune to the Killing Curse and cannot die- Death will not claim him, so any attempt to murder him will be reversed after a few hours (Later minutes). Year by year, Harry's connection to death should also improve. Dream sequences with the entity, channeling its powers, becoming an avatar, summoning the literal manifestation of Death- go nuts. However, while this could make Harry OP, remember moderation. Place emphasis on the struggles he faces, and insert more supernatural threats for him to tackle. As one touched by death, others will notice... From Beyond The Outrealm Fire Emblem Awakening Robin was never any good at conventional Tomes, being unable to use even the most basic of spells. However, this doesn't make him powerless. His strength lied elsewhere, in the art of summoning, in the act of calling to arms heroes of Old and binding them to his will. -Story idea based on the premise that Robin couldn't use spells, but due to his Grima connection and odd affinity he instead had the ability to open up gates into the Outrealm and summon its denizens. AKA: he has the canon ability to call up those Spotpass recruits from old games. That's right, he can summon figures like Marth and Ike, though only temporarily, and it is advised that early on his control over it is weak so the summon is random. Fate Change Fate Stay Night X Anime X-overs The Holy Grail decided to be a troll and give everyone a different servant. Shirou is even more doomed than normal, especially with a Mecha wielding Rider, a Titan killing Berserker, a time travelling Archer, a pink haired chick as Assassin, a failing mad scientist Caster, a god wannabe with an ego matching Gilgamesh as Lancer, an abomination to sword fighting as Saber and a certain corrupted king called forth as Avenger. -Sort of like Fate Zero Sense but with different Servants, the Servants being: -Saber: Mifune from Soul Eater, summoned by Shirou. He'd teach him how to be a sword user who focuses on fighting with more than one sword, so Shirou ends up with UBW but instead of throwing swords he actually uses all of the Magical Artifacts that he has! -Archer: Homura from Madoka Magica, summoned by Rin. Ahh, poor Rin, she always as a Servant that has something to do with Time Paradoxes. Prepare for her to have already come from a future war, so has all sorts of spoilers but actually uses them unlike Gar-cher. -Lancer: Enel from One Piece, summoned by Bazette then controlled by Kirei. Enel VS Gilgamesh is the main reason for this. -Rider: Lelouch from Code Geass, summoned by Sakura, has powers for both his Zero and Emperor legend. Gambit Pileup proceeds. -Caster: Okabe from Steins Gate, summoned by Mage from Clock Tower, then runs out of power like Medea but is found by Ayako. Yeah... not sure just how this would work, but it'd be pretty cool. He proceeds to out time travel and paradox Archer and Assassin. Berserker: Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan. -False Assassin- Yuno from Future Diary, summoned by Caster (Once he figures out how to summon a Servant using THE INTERNET!) she backstabs him, then both use their respective Time travel devices to try and out gambit one another. Meanwhile, Homura trolls and just keeps abusing her time travel abilities to ace War. -True Assassin: Ein from Requiem of the Phantom, summoned by Zouken. Reality Marble with all the Phantoms inside would be badass. -Avenger: Saber Alter, because why not? Saber Alter needs more love, and someone needs to be around that keeps accidentally ensuring that Shirou's Deus Ex Machina healing still works. -You know this is cool, so PM me if you want ideas for Servant stats and NP's. Campione... Fiction Killers? Campione/Multiple Franchises Campione fight and slay Gods, those legends that transcend even time and space and are truly strong. However, it is the twentieth century, and not all legends were ever real, so why should only real gods and figures miss out on the chance to pick a fight with Godou? -Basically just an excuse to throw various fictional characters into the Campione-verse and hold An Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. Anyhow, enjoy. King Of Demigod's Percy Jackson X Campione By unintentionally slaying Ares, the Greek God of war, Percy finds himself thrown into even more trouble now that he rules the very ground he walks on. He has enough trouble with quests, now he has to kill Heretic God's? -Just what it says on the tin, Percy kills Ares in book one and becomes a Campione. Whether you throw in Campione-verse characters or leave it as just Percy able to gain authorities from killed Gods is up to you. The War is Never Over Fairy Tail CHALLENGE ACCEPTED: PraetorFable has taken the challenge with his fic 'A Change in History': https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13059084/1/A-Change-in-History The Magic Council was never set up, and now Lucy Heartfillia seeks to enter the guild Fairy Tail for protection, not fully realizing the consequences of doing so. The Guild Wars continue unhindered, and perhaps no one side is right, or will ever be victorious. - Haven't put up a Fairy Tail challenge yet, so here it is. Basically I liked the idea of the Guild War Fairy Tail and Phantom had with one another, and wondered just how a full on Magical War would look. Well, with this fic you get to see it! Plenty of fights between guilds, with them falling into a Naruto Hidden Village sort of system, where they pull in missions and the economy is tied to war. Be as serious or not as you want with this, just put some character deaths in, have lots of epic fights and have at least one three way gambit pile up and I'm sure this will work out fine. Welcome To The Multiverse: Have A Nice Day! Various Anime/Franchises "What, you didn't think YOU were special, did you? Just how many Self Inserts do you think there are out there!?" A teen steps into a whole mulitverse full of trouble, because while one Self Insert might be able to change things for the better, how the hell is the universe supposed to keep up when multiple Inserts are all trying to save the world and interfering with one another? -This came from the Fridge Logic of 'Hang on, wouldn't it be sort of arrogant for a Self Insert to think that he is the sole person to ever fall into a fictional universe?', which then flickered into an idea for several Self Inserts to all be in the same story (OOH! Another fic idea!), before becoming this. Basically, a mulitversal war where lots of Self Inserts from their own stories, either finished in nature or not, all realise that the others are out there. And promptly start meddling. This has all sorts of interesting potential paths. Have it comedy related with them all messing with one another; have them all seriously try and affect other worlds; have canon characters get dragged along through the multiverse while we're at it; have them team up and have alliances and all sorts of stuff. Lots of stuff could happen. -I myself would do it seriously, with real thought put into how the rules of the multiverse work and why Self Inserts exist at all. I would have these Inserts, all of whom who have had difficult times in their own rights, clash over ideologies if anything. For example, if I was writing this I'd have them fall into three main factions by at least the mid point: the Canon Conservatives (Those who want to keep the plot the same and minimize changes to canon), the Literal Liberals (Those who want the right to change the timeline)- with further divisions over changes to help the world in question or not- and those who refuse to take a side since they've already had THEIR adventure and just want to keep these other Inserts from messing up their worlds and so are Neutral. And then you could have other alone Inserts who kind of jump in and out of the story. I would suggest that you come up with all of the inserts yourself and come up with a good canon that they come from for the duration of the fic, although if you already have an Insert story you could put them in, or maybe even ask other writers to use their Inserts. Still, its a nice idea, isn't it? The Holy Fandom War All seven Masters in the Heavens Feel were unfortunately unable to make it to the war, so Zelretch decided to be... ahem... 'helpful'... and drag in Seven new Masters to replace them. Now how will the War change with a cast whom ALL know everything that is coming (For a VERY sort amount of time) and are trying to kill each other all to win the grand prize? No idea, but canon won't stay canon for long... there will probably be lots of Gambit Pile Up's as well. And Shout Out's. Rejoice, for Zelretch will be innocently whistling! -Had this idea for a while, since I've wanted to do a Fate Self Insert for ages. Basically, when I was thinking of which Master would be perfect for an Insert to Replace, I had the plot bunny to just ditch all of the Masters and put Self Inserts in instead, then watch the chaos unfold. This is that idea. Do what you want with the Inserts. Have them be reborn, fall into the world through nefarious means, accidentally steal the bodies of canon characters or even be the Servants if you think it would be interesting. Hell, do a mixture of them all of you want. Just try to keep things semi-serious. As for the Inserts themselves, you can also change their Servants if you want, you could give them powers from another series, or you could just take advantage of canon and give them some interesting in universe abilities. Third Person of First Person? Give them fictional Servants or not? Which War? Use variations from awesome s if you REALLY want to keep to the whole Fandom theme. Hidden Steel Fate Stay Night X Percy Jackson Shirou had trouble enough trying to be an Ally of Justice as a failure of a Magus, so when he ends up discovering that the Age of the Gods might not be as over as the Clock Tower might assume it to be it only became harder. Then again, was there any better place than Camp Half Blood for one to become a hero? -Shirou's parent should be Ares or Hephesteus (His whole Sword thing had to come from somewhere) and he should be brought in during either book 1 or 3, whether he meets them and joins the quest and his age at the time, as well as if he participates in the Grail War, is all your decision. -Your decision if you decide to shake things up and give the Gods a power up via how Gods were like in the Nasuverse's Age of God. Death Bomb Online Sword Art Online X Btooom Ultimately, Kayabe desired to build a castle hanging in the sky... but not everyone gets their way. Due to lack of budgets, he was forced to turn to the man who taught him to program and his company to finish his game. Thus, a very different death game was born. One called BTOOOM Online. -Instead of SAO the cast of both series are trapped in a different Death Game, one based off BTOOOM, so lots of death is recommended. Actual rules are your choice. I demand lots of EXPLOSIVES! And Star Chips, only they're green (According to the source). Divergence Theory One Piece Luffy never ate his Devil Fruit, he never became a Rubber Man. This one change affected his life in ways no one could predict, as well as the lives of all others in the world. After all, a smart Luffy is just unthinkable. -Luffy never eats his Devil Fruit, so is only as strong as the next human. Without his powers to interest Ace and Sabo as a kid, he gets lonely so starts reading. Yes, Luffy reading. This sets off a chain reaction leading to Luffy entering canon as someone who uses his brain instead of his fists. He can't become clever over night though, he has to build up in a logical fashion. Heck, if you really want do this in a Rational style similar to Methods of Rationality if you really want, that'd be cool too. The Final Survivor Devil Survivor X Devil Survivor 2 The King of Bel successfully dispelled all of the demons in the Tokyo Lockdown, so wasn't he surprised later on when some weird white haired dude started distributing a death predicting website and a demon summoning app. The soul of Abel and his various companions now have even more on their plates; the meeting with Polaris approaches. -Cast of DS enters DS2 after the events of the game. Elapsam Semel Occasionem Non Ipse Potest Luppiter Reprehendere Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olypmus Not even Jupiter can find a lost opportunity- In House of Hades, Hazel chooses for the group to abandon the quest in favor of returning to the camps and brokering peace. Now, months later: Gaea runs rampart, Europe is devastated, the Roots of Olympus are upturned, the Gods weakened- barely stronger than their children- the Seven are divided, peace is gone, hope is waning and the end is near. Winter approaches, all will conclude by the spring. -I love AU's. I love 'em. I always love finding different choices characters could make ad pondering what the decision could impact. In HOH I realised there was plenty of divergence points, and thus a dystopian vision of a future where a weakened Rome and Greece wage a losing war against the forces of a mostly awakened Gaia, while the Cold War between all the different pantheons has ended. Trust me, it'll be exactly as cool as it sounds to be on paper. -Nico's gonna be in the Underworld with Hazel fighting the forces of Gaia with zombie armies, and will launch a desperate counter attack through the Underworld's entrance to Tartarus, with a Styx bathed Nico at its head. Frank'll be a praeter with Reyna, kicking ass in the defense of New York, with Carter and his team reluctantly assisting. Piper will be forced to play peace keeper amongst the Gods while she tries to motivate them to get off their asses assist their offspring in their futile struggle. Jason will be a memetic badass who leads the only minor offensive against Gaia, riding the stolen Argo II across the ocean to throw egg in the faces of the many monsters within Gaea's prime base. Leo is going to go all 40K on everyone's ass after deciphering the secrets of Archimedes sphere and becomes a Tech Priest. Annabeth is going to be a death seeking, vigilante, ass kicking, resistance leader in the heart of Gaia's home territory, with a team of Demigods from all Pantheons. Percy's just goin' to be chillin' in Tartarus til he becomes a brainwashed, berserking terminator. None of this is a joke. All of it will be awesome, because when someone asked me why I was considering writing a dystopian fanfic based on HOO, I answered "Why the Hell not? Who the Hell do you think I am?" IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE? Opening Credits: One Piece Opening 5 Waking Up: Sayaka Miki's theme: Fate Stay Night Horizon First Day At School: Butterfly Digimon OP Falling In Love: Stronger Than You Anna Fight Song: Theme X Xenoblade Breaking Up: Sword Art Online Gracefully Prom Night: World God Only Knows OP 3 Life: Angel Beats- Before My Body Is Dry Mental Breakdown: End Of The World- Kingdom Hearts OST Driving: Silent Hill Theme Flashback: Tetris Theme Critical Hit Getting Back Together: Sacred Moon World That Never Was Wedding: Asgore Orchestral Remix Birth Of Child: Garden of Sinners Into The Light Final Battle: Mirror Mirror Metal Remix Funeral Song: Madoka And I'm Home Final Credits: Fairy Tail Violin Theme "I wasn't born a jedi. In addition, school is kicking in closer to exams, which further cuts down my time. In addition, lets just say that I have a few things in the works for you... oh yes, they are excellent things, and eventually they will be in a condition to publish. So while requiring a bit more of my focus at the moment, I think that you will enjoy them. Collab Oh yeah, I do Collab stuff sometimes. I have a Pokegirls story of all things actively updating. If you've ever wanted to see me take a crack at the harem genre and fucking step all over it, maybe have a read. Partners: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12404067/1/Partners Future Projects: New SI: Looks like it'll be either a Worm SI based on the CYOA phenomenon, or another One Piece one (SI replaces child Luffy when he chokes to death on his Devil Fruit and regurgitates it, or a CYOA SI whom is stuck on hard mode). Still in the development process, and is on the backburner compared to other stuff, but its a coming along... Persona X Worm: starting that Phantom!Taylor idea... Fire Emblem SI Maybe another god damned Fate SI. Active: Into Fire and Into Ice: rather active. SI Seeking Straw Hat: pretty active. I have a good feeling for this one. Fate Finality: check it out on Sufficient Velocity or Spacebattles if you want. We also have a TV Tropes page: wwwDOTtvtropesDOTorgSLASHpmwikiSLASHpmwikiDOTphpSLASHFanFicSLASHFateFinality Repository of SI's: gets updates when I have content for it. More Inactive: Ultimum Miraculum: A fairly new story, it is still in its early stages, with much planning and effort needing to be put in to ensure that its high quality continues. I would hate to screw this fic of all fics up, since the premise excites me so. As such, expect infrequent but excellent updates. However... its been so long now it might as well be dead. Harry Potter and Type Moon: Okay, this is going nowhere. I've lost my muse, and am unwilling to deal with the sheer scale of the story when I have so much on my plate. I guess that its on hiatus, huh? Discontinued: Upon The Wingbeat Of Butterflys: *Handwaves vacantly* Dark Freedom: I really liked this story. I truly did. It was gonna be an awesome post canon setting, with an 1984 style WG, One Piece Nukes, badass powers, Pirate Zombies and general badassery. But alas, it really didn't get much viewer reception. It seemed like the time put into it would be fundamentally wasted (Due to my limited writing time) so for the moment this is discontinued while other fics which people actually care to read are focused on. Perhaps in a few years when I have a finished fic or two (Or at least a few close to the end) I'll rewrite this to boost its story and continue it, since I already have a bunch of ideas for it. Only if it seems like people want it though. You've Been NUZLOCKED!: A crack nuzlocke fic. Yeah- this is Dead. Ain't updated in awhile. Liked the ideas and characters, and might someday try the whole thing again. A New Reaper: Rebooted. This won't be updated again, but UWB will be. In fact, go read it. It'll be awesome, and needs more interest. There is a good reason why I consider it to be one of the most ambitious projects I am working on... scratch that. UWB got discontinued too. Oops? Bleached Grand Line: Sorry, but discontinued. I went in with vague ideas of what I wanted to do with the fic, but ultimately this story has lost my interest. Its more productive for me to put my effort in elsewhere. Shattered Fate: Was going to be continued, but it seems like its fine as a One Shot at the moment. The Steins Gate fandom is rather small, so I doubt that writing this would benefit many people, thus my other fics come first. I am of the personal belief that a fanfic writer can consider him/herself successful only once three requirements are met: -When a story they own has reached 1000 review's -When someone makes a TV Tropes page for one of their stories -When someone considers their work good enough to make some fanart/fanwork for it Now, the first one hasn't happened yet, but the other two have! Round of applause for Abalisk for a pretty awesome piece of fanart for UWB! Thumbs up for you! wwwDOTdeviantartDOTcomSLASHartSLASHUltimate-Abolishing-Flames-596516124 And an even greater round of applause for Crusader Jerome who made a TV Tropes page for Fate Finality: wwwDOTtvtropesDOTorgSLASHpmwikiSLASHpmwikiDOTphpSLASHFanFicSLASHFateFinality I will try to update whenever I can. Alas, Real Life is a fickle mistress and Life a Bitch, with a capital B. I have a life outside of the internet, shock horror, so if I don't update its because I have a good reason. Either that or I'm on the internet looking at pictures of cats (LOL stereotypes), procrastinating or am reading TV Tropes into the wee hours of the morning, which in my opinion is just as good as an excuse as any. Damn, I need to go to a Tropers help group or something... |
