![]() Author has written 5 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers, Itazura na Kiss, Diabolik Lovers/ディアボリックラヴァーズ, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU/やはり俺の青春ラブコメはまちがっている, and RWBY. I came here to do two things and two things only: write sappy love stories and steal shit. And I already stole your shit. So let's do this! What Kind of Stories Do I Write? I'm a sucker for romance, so you'll most likely find me writing that. It's all about the ships. If you're in FanFiction, you're in the Navy. You just have to pick and choose your OTP and then go to war with everyone else not under our flag! But I do write serious stuff from time to time. There are some ideas and themes that I'd like to explore. But I am trying to practice making it a habit to actually upload something. And with college being absolutely demanding, that's quite a goal. Can't imagine my update rate when I actually start working. What Kind of Characters Do I Write? I wanna write characters with depth. And by that, I usually write my protagonists with serious flaws they have to overcome. I've read too many stories were a protagonist has "social awkwardness" and it's portrayed as cute or funny. While I'm not against it, I really don't consider that to be a flaw at all. A flaw is what makes a character interesting to me. It has to be a trait that really holds them back from achieving what they want until they're forced to make a choice to improve themselves. In short, a flaw is a burden the characters carry. What Character Types Do I Fancy? I can tell you what characters I don't like: stereotypical and one-dimensional. Too many I've seen in works of fiction where a character is just the audience surrogate left blank for the purpose of self-insert. I'm strongly against that. There's nothing memorable about them; just empty cardboard. "A bowl is most useful when it is empty" does not apply here, my friend. But to answer the question more directly: I like characters who have insight. Not necessarily to the point of omniscience. But experienced characters who have been hardened by their own experiences as well as an attitude that makes sense. They're more interesting to me. My Stories' Status: The Hunter's Dream - I got a lot of flack for this one. Mostly because I tried to explore more realistic consequences of Jaune's transcripts to Beacon. And we all know how people are like when we criticize their favorite character. Especially if its the self-insert. The Willpower of Yui Komori - I have to admit: I watch Shojo anime. And Diabolik Lovers really stuck with me. Mostly for being really bad. I'm a fan of the yandere trope, but I just couldn't find myself relating to Yui--bland character as she is. Yui is just "meh" about everything. So I thought: what if a situation occurred where Yui was forced to assert herself and try to survive? This story was born. Getting Her Back - Have I mentioned that I watch Shojo? Have I mentioned that I'm a fan of the yandere trope? "Even geniuses can become monsters indeed." Wanted to explore a more darker Naoki with the more obsessive, jealous traits he showed in the anime and amp that up to 11. Drowning - I absolutely love Oregairu. Hachiman is just so relatable. If you want to make a harem anime, this is how you do it. With characters that actually have depth and interesting chemistry. If it wasn't for Psycho Pass, this show would be my top favorite anime. I wanted to write Drowning as a means of exploring Hachiman and the local cat-obsessed Yukinoshita's characters. Yandere Goddess - On Hiatus. I don't hate Sasuke nearly as others do. But they seem to have fun watching him suffer. Even if Heaven is his own personal Hell. |
