Hello, everyone.

halmir is not my real name just a nickname from when I was in college. In fact, the entire name in the proper format is Halmir Pal'ntiri. If you want to know what it means look up the indexes/appendices of "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy and "The Silmarillion" by J. R. R. Tolkien. No, the name was not taken from the books, at least not consciously.

About me:

I'm 5' 6.5" tall. My hair is reddish-brown and black depending on if my original hair color has returned or not in areas on my head. I have brown eyes and wear glasses. I have many scars on my body, mostly from the same situation that caused my hair to change color. And, my avatar is exactly what I look like now.

As for what happened to me, I am a cancer survivor. I had a rare bone cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. It was discovered about 3 months after I broke my leg while working on my family's dairy farm in 2002. I went through nearly 2 years of having to keep my legs elevated due to that. In the end, after a knee replacement, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, a pulmonary embolism, a hemotoma, and a hefty reduction of heart function for a few days (which caused me to have the radiation therapy); I had my left leg amputated just above the knee. This was what caused my hair to turn from its natural reddish-brown to black.

Apology for lack of posting: Sorry folks for the lack of updates to my stories. I have had other stories taking up space, but when I went to write them, they refused to be written. Sadly, these stories still are taking up space and show bits and pieces to me, but nothing completely coherent. That's why I haven't posted anything in a while.

Status of Harry Potter and the Harbingers: Still working on it. Have had other stories running through my mind and tax season really reduced the time I had to work on this story. There for a while Medico69's passing had me not in the mood the write for a while as well.

Status of Harry Potter's Magic Heart: Chapter 2 is up and working on chapter 3.

Upcoming story:

Harry Potter and the Magi: Have chapter 1 done, close to being done with chapter 2. However, need to go through both before posting. Will be a Harry/Harem fic with Hermione being the first of the girls in Harry's life.

Error message fixes: Found way around the Type 2 error thanks to robst's Author's Note at the end of his latest chapter for "No Hurry At All". The trick is to change "property" to "content"in the browser/address bar.
