Hello guys. I hope you enjoy this chapter- in which we get more of an insight into Elysium with Percy- some pretty awesome meetings, and also a little bit of a reunion- and Percy is just thoroughly enjoying herself.
Replies:
The Official Clarrise: Yep, Bianca's been given the job. And hah sucker, it's too late! Take the nice happy Elysium chapters while knowing that Percy's not gonna get to see her baby sister be born and to reunite with her family right away after all! Take all the pain!
Guest: You shall have the answers to some of your questions later as the story progresses. And Rhea is the Grandmother. You may be able to guess who the daughter is. And don't worry- I've actually just written a chapter revolving around Nico and Hazel, you will get interactions between them.
Undeath9087: I really can't. Percy is quite happy in the Underworld- which I think makes sense given everything she went through. Who wouldn't be glad for a break after all that?
JjlovesPJO: I mean, let's be honest, Percy's fatal flaw is loyalty. Once she knows the situation she'd be willing to give up Elysium to try and help the people she loves. Of course then she'll be even more traumatised and kind of regret it at times so I mean, yeah I am evil.
Drizzle: You made me laugh, especially since it's usually everyone else saying no and Percy just there like 'YES BITCH YOU CAN'T STOP ME!'.
MKDemiGodzilla-Warrior: Yeah, she's gonna be bringing Percy back pretty soon- and no I'm not doing Buford purely because this Leo is a lot more responsible and experienced, and he'd have had Beckendorf helping a lot to make sure he isn't a dumbass and overworking himself.
Percy really did love Elysium- having whatever she wanted, within reason of course, just made things so much easier- and she did so enjoy messing with Theseus- she got on well enough with some of the other heroes- she liked Perseus, Jason, Atalanta and Bellerophon, and she liked Odysseus too- his intelligence reminded her of Annabeth.
And they all seemed to like her, they'd all been impressed when they'd learned of what exactly had gotten her into Elysium.
In any case, Percy had to admit that it was incredibly cool to be able to chat to some of the greatest heroes to have ever lived. She could still remember her first day in Elysium, guided there by Hades himself. He'd explained how things worked, and she'd settled down in the huge house to wait for the other's to arrive- that had taken a couple of days.
And of course she remembered her first meeting with some of the other residents of Elysium.
They'd noticed Hades' arrival- how could they not, and it was Perseus who came to introduce himself first, to find out who the new arrival was.
Percy had been incredibly confused when she'd heard the knock on the door.
She'd rushed down the stairs from where she'd been setting up her new bedroom, she'd made quick work of getting out of the wedding dress- it was beautiful and all but Percy knew she'd never be able to look at that sort of thing the same way ever again.
She'd changed into a much more practical pair of jeans with a light blue tee and she opened the door quickly, a grin on her lips as she did.
She'd expected the others to take longer- but who else could be showing up on her doorstep?
When she'd opened the door though it hadn't been a familiar face, it had been a man, tall, fairly handsome, older than her with long blonde hair tied back out of his face. She was dressed in a chiton- Percy had found that weird at first. But people wore what they were most comfortable in and those who had come from years ago wore the old fashioned clothes- it did make sense in a way.
"Uh, hi?" Percy tilted her head slightly, and the man had given her a warm smile.
"I'm Perseus. And you are?" and Percy's eyes had widened in shock at that, a smile spreading across her lips.
"Perseus? The Perseus?"
"Yes." Perseus let out a laugh, "The Perseus, I suppose. Though my wife often tells me I shouldn't allow how my story has lasted to get to my head. We all noticed Hades' arrival and I decided to come and see who he would personally escort here."
"Right. That makes sense." Percy flushed slightly, "I'm Percy Jackson- Persephone, but I go by Percy most of the time. Persephone's a bit of a mouthful." Holy Hades this was the Perseus- and okay she might not be the type to get too excited about meeting her heroes too often but- well, he was legendary.
"Indeed." Perseus eyed her curiously, "Based on those eyes- I would assume that you're either a daughter of Poseidon or at least descended from him."
"Yep." Percy nodded, tucking a loose curl behind her ear, forcing down the giddy excitement. "I'm Poseidon's daughter alright."
"I've met several of your brothers." Perseus gave a small nod, "Some I know better than others. I'm sure they'll all come by at some point to meet you. Would you like a tour?"
"I-" Percy hesitated before nodding, "Actually that sounds good." she said after a moment- calm, nice and calm. This was her life now, she was living amongst the legends. No fangirling allowed "I don't think my friends will be here quite yet."
"Your friends?" Perseus looked curious, "Is this something to do with the recent unrest? Not much reaches us here in Elysium but we've all known that something was going on on the outside up where the living dwell."
Percy nodded, "Oh it has everything to do with it." she admitted, pausing when Perseus held out his arm, before she gave a small shrug- she could handle this, and she slipped her arm through his as they started to walk. "Kronos was rising-" she almost looked at the startled look on Perseus' face, "I know right?" and so she talked, the story spilling out- everything.
Perseus was a good listener, his brows furrowed when she told him about Alabaster- and his expression turned horrified when she explained how he'd held her captive- it was amazing to get it all off her chest.
And by the end of the story Perseus had a strange gleam in his eyes as he looked at her, and Percy hesitated, face flushing slightly under the unwavering gaze. "What is it?"
"You faced down the lord of time himself and you defeated him despite your fears." Perseus' voice was impressed. "You're only sixteen years old and you defeated one of the most powerful beings in existence-"
"I mean he wasn't exactly at full strength-"
"Do not tone down your achievements cousin." Perseus' lips twitched, "I see very clearly now why you've been granted the right to live in Elysium- and your friends who fought alongside you too. Clearly you're deserving of the title of hero."
"I just did what I had to do." Percy gave a small shrug, "He had my brother-"
"Perseus!" that call came from a fairly handsome young man- older than Percy but not as old as Perseus- with dark curls in a halo around his head and a warm smile on his lips as he jogged towards them, and Percy noticed his eyes instantly, sea green just like hers were. "Ah, so it seems you've heard of our new resident here." the figure came to a halt in front of them, "And who might you be?"
"Percy Jackson." Percy gave a small grin, "And you are?"
"Bellerophon." the man informed her, "I was just talking with Helen and Atalanta when news reached us that we had a new arrival escorted by Hades himself- I had to come and see for myself."
"Bellerophon." Percy's brows furrowed as she tried to remember the myths, "Weren't you the one who saddled Pegasus."
"Yes." Bellerophon nodded, "My brother was a true friend and companion-"
"Our brother you mean." Percy grinned, "I'm a daughter of Poseidon-"
"Wonderful! I hope you're not as big headed as Theseus- he's our most famous sibling here I think."
"Theseus-" Percy's eyes had narrowed at that. She remembered what Mr. D had told her. "The one who abandoned Ariadne?"
"That's the one Bellerophon's lips twitched into a slow grin, "I do think it will be very fun- knowing him he'll throw one of his ridiculous parties to introduce you since you're our sister. He'll spend the whole night bragging about his feats-"
"Ah yeah, the Labyrinth and the Minotaur." Percy grinned, "Didn't he do that when he was seventeen?"
"Oh gods." Bellerophon rolled his eyes, "You know the story- he'll be incredibly pleased with that-"
"I killed the Minotaur when I was twelve and then again a few days ago." Percy added slightly, a smirk slipping across her lips as Bellerophon's eyes almost lit up- and she heard Perseus trying not to laugh. "And I travelled through the Labyrinth when I was fourteen years old- with my two girlfriends. One of which was a clear sighted mortal-"
"Oh Perseus." Bellerophon grinned, "Can I steal Percy from you dear cousin. I think I need to take her to meet Atalanta and Helen. I do believe they're going to love her. Tell me Percy, did you hear what Theseus did to Helen?"
"I don't think I did?" Percy's eyes narrowed, "Why do I think I won't like it?"
"Because I doubt you will." Bellerophon leaned in, "He kidnapped poor Helen when she was just a child to try and force her to marry him-"
"Oh I really don't like him then." Percy declared, "Perseus- I'll see you later?"
"Of course." Perseus smiled, "You have fun cousin. Bellerophon, look after our dear Percy. She's a great hero."
And so Percy and Bellerophon headed away from Perseus together, Percy eventually talking about Blackjack- much to her older brothers delight as they discussed their flying mounts.
By the time they reached Atalanta and Helen- who were sat in a beautiful looking lush park with flowers budding around them.
Helen was truly beautiful, Percy decided instantly, with her long golden hair and her welcoming smile as she rose to her feet,
"Bellerophon! You've brought us a new friend to meet."
"Ah, the girl Hades himself brought here." Atalanta was a tall woman, athletic with long blonde hair. Both of them were beautiful in different ways, Helen delicate and Atalanta wild.
"She's my sister." Bellerophon looked proud when he said that, "And I think you'll both like her- Percy. Tell them what you told me about the Minotaur."
"Why of course." Percy grinned and launched into the tale of her battles with the Minotaur, which Atalanta and Helen both seemed to love.
They talked for some time before they were interrupted by a man who looked much like Bellerophon- though there were subtle difference, he strode towards them, head held high.
"I just ran into Perseus." the man called out, "You must be my new sister, Persephone yes?" his eyes flicked to Helen and Atalanta, lingering slightly before he focused on Percy again, "He told me you were a great hero- so I think it would be most fitting if I threw you a welcome party."
"Of course." Percy smiled, a plan forming in her mind even as she did, "It would be an honor to attend the party if someone like you is hosting it." she ignored the incredulous looks she was getting from Helen, Atalanta and Bellerophon, "I'll be there. Just send me the time and address and I'll figure it out."
"Wonderful- though you may need to wear something more suitable." Theseus' gaze flicked up and down Percy, taking in her outfit, "Now I believe I should go and do some planning, if you would excuse me."
As soon as he left Helen was turning to Percy, a confused look on her face, "I thought you said that you didn't like Theseus?"
"Oh, I don't." Percy grinned "But wouldn't it be so much more fun for him to learn about my exploits at his own party thrown in my honor?"
"Oh." Atalanta's face lit up, "Oh I like you Percy Jackson. You are going to fit right in."
"Oh I agree." Percy grinned back, "So- you guys want-" she froze, her eyes focusing on a figure sprinting towards them from the other side of the park, a shorter figure- and she was beaming, rushing past them, a wide smile spreading across her lips as she rushed towards the young boy rushing towards her.
"PERCY!" It was Mikey- he had a huge grin on his lips as he almost flew at her- and she caught him mid air, spinning him as she did.
"Mikey!"
"Happy birthday! Lee said it was today, and then we heard that Hades brought someone here personally and I knew it had to be you! Did we win did we win?"
"We won!" Percy laughed as she hugged the young son of Hermes tightly. His death had always weighed heavily. And now he was here and he looked so happy. She could look after all of the demigod who had died because of the war. They could be free.
Yeah. She was going to be happy here.
