Percy in this chapter just swings wildly from 'Oh for fuck sake' to 'Wait, wait- baby sister! Baby sister! Future! School, girlfriends!' because like, of course she would. Of course we all know that shits not gonna last that long.

Guest: I would say no, after all she never ended up with Calypso so she doesn't really know her and as much as she loves Leo and she knows Leo loves Calypso it's not something she'd think of so much.
Undeath9087: I know, which is why they're in Elysium- though I imagine when it's all over she's just gonna march over to Hades like, 'Okay uncle, we need to talk about your judges shitty standards. And basically- this chapter isn't as upbeat but I mean, it's still in Elysium.
Guest: Yep. Percy has already been resurrected when Nico and Bianca have their little run in when she goes to him. Which makes what he said so much more painful because she's stood there thinking 'I tried Nico I tried to fix it all I tried to bring her back to you' and she's feeling incredibly guilty even though she did everything she possibly could to bring Percy home.
PJ Fan 285: I have already written the reuinion- which is just as dramatic and painful as you might expect from me- and it's a lot more stressful than the canon reunion. But I will say someone is like 'I'd like to introduce Camp Jupiters newest Praetor-" and Percy's just like 'Can you technically introduce me if the only people I don't know yet are Piper and Jason?" Because she's a dramatic little shit at times.
The Official Clarisse: She is an epic badass and we all love her very much for that fact- I especially love her interactions with Octavian when she has her memories back- but of course you don't get to see that for a while. Mwahahahah.

JjlovesPJO: Yeah there's gonna be some intense back and forth emotions between happy to be alive and 'For fuck sake I'm just so tired of this shit and it was better when I was dead'. I'm not even sorry.

It was a few hours into the party that Percy spotted her- she'd been in the middle of talking with Bellerophon, Jason, Atalanta and Helen when she saw a figure by the door- a darkly dressed girl trying to slip in unnoticed- their eyes locked across the room and Percy saw a look of relief crossing the girls face- and it was Bianca. There was no one else it possibly could be.

But why? She'd never visited before- Percy had assumed she'd been forbidden like Nico had- which sucked but- well Percy understood why Hades had done it- Nico would be torn and Percy would just miss her family even more if he was visiting all of the time.

So what was Bianca doing here? And based on the look of relief on the younger girls face Percy was pretty sure she was here specifically looking for Percy.

She felt a rush of nerves but she pushed them down, smiling, "Listen you four- I just need to go and talk to someone- hopefully I'll be right back,"

"Of course." Helen gave a warm smile, "Try not to get into any fights while you're gone-"

"I am not that bad-"

"Of course you aren't." Jason gave her a smile, running his fingers through his long golden hair. "A beauty like you doesn't have to be to cause fights-"

"Really Jason." Atalanta rolled her eyes, "You're better off staying oblivious Percy."

"Multiple men and women have been staring at you for most of the party sister." Bellerophon pointed out looking amused, "You are far too oblivious for your own good."

"What's that supposed to mean."

"We don't think you'll be starting fights." Helen giggled, "We think pushy fools will be pushy fools and you will feel the need to put them in their places."

"Yeah yeah." Percy waved a hand dismissively, "I'm not that attractive guys." then she started moving across the room, spotting Sherman as she did and giving him a little thumbs up at his questioning look.

And when Percy started moving Bianca ducked outside quickly, and Percy's eyes narrowed.

Okay, something was going on here. She followed the other girl quickly, slipping outside and into the large garden- which was fairly empty- the sky was darker than it had been- evening was coming, and Bianca was stood leaning against a tree at the bottom of the garden.

"Hey." Percy called as she approached, "Bianca what are you doing here? Please tell me you're not dead."

"No, no I'm fine." Bianca took a deep breath, "We need to talk."

"Sure. Do you wanna talk out here or-"

"Can we go somewhere private?"

"Well there's this great little park- it'll be deserted at this time of the evening."

"That'll do."

And the walk to the park was spent in silence, and Percy dropped down onto one of the benches when they arrived, twisting to look at the other girl, eyes narrowed very slightly, "So Bianca. What's going on?"

"Grandma Rhea showed up today. She sent me here?"

"Why?"

"There's a new prophecy- another important one one." Bianca admitted, "It's started-"

"Oh fuck," Percy paled, "Is everyone okay?"

"Yeah- yeah they're fine- I mean, as fine as they can be. No one's been fine but they've been recovering."

"Right, of course." Percy nodded, "Uncle Hades gives me updates when he can but he's not been around for months."

"Here's the thing." Bianca swallowed hard before she launched into her story- telling Percy about the Prophecy, how she'd found Hazel- how the Doors of Death were open and how it had been almost easy to bring the daughter of Hades Roman form back to life- and how she'd been forced to swear not to tell anyone- not another living soul in any case- which conveniently didn't include Percy at the moment, and how she'd been acting as the ambassador of Pluto to the Roman camp.

She told Percy about Jason Grace, Thalia's long long brother's reappearance- the fact that Leo and Annabeth were members of the seven along with Jason, and a new girl, Bianca's newfound sister, and another boy who Bianca had yet to meet.

By the time Bianca was done Percy could feel a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. Seven. Seven half-bloods. But Bianca had only talked about six of them.

"Bianca." Percy swallowed hard, "What does any of that have to do with me. I'm dead-"

"So was Hazel." Bianca pointed out, "And she's one of the Seven. Grandma Rhea told me it was you Percy. She sent me here to come and get you."

Percy closed her eyes. Gods but she didn't even know how she was supposed to feel at a bombshell like that.

Of course she missed her family, of course she'd wanted to see them again ever since the moment she died- but- she'd been tired.

So tired of that weight on her shoulders. The literal weight of the gods damned world, knowing that she was destined to either save it or destroy it.

Oh she knew she'd made the right choice. Of course she did. But that didn't make it hurt any less, that didn't make the pressure that she'd been under any easier to deal with.

Or the trauma- she'd married Kronos/Alabaster. It might not have been long but she'd done it. She'd done it because it was the only chance she had at saving Ethan and Luke. Because she knew it was the only way she'd be able to kill Kronos.

If she was being truthful the memories of it still haunted her.

But- in Elysium it was over. There was no more war, no more stress and fear, or pain and suffering. Every day was perfect. As selfish as it probably was to admit it, she liked Elysium. She'd never felt more free than she did- and she'd contented herself to wait for her loved ones to come and join her when their times came. Except now she was being told that that time could be a lot sooner than she'd been expecting. And not in a nice way if she didn't give up her peace in death.

And not only that but she was supposed to be a member of a group of demigods at the centre of another great Prophecy.

A part of her wanted to stand up and walk away- she wanted to refuse. To tell Bianca to leave her in peace, to tell her that Rhea must be wrong because Percy was done with that. She'd fought bravely and she'd died to save the world- and wasn't that enough for the gods? Had she not done enough to earn her chance at bliss?

But that wasn't her was it? She'd never been the type to run and hide from her destiny no matter how much she hated it. And she
sure as Hades couldn't leave the others to handle it on her own, not if she was being told that they needed her. She'd never be able to forgive herself if she did and the worst came to pass.

She closed her eyes, bowing her head, forcing herself to take a deep breath.

Besides, it wasn't like she didn't miss them all like Hades- it wasn't like she didn't want to see her family again. Sometimes the desire to see them all once more was a physical thing. It was outright painful. But she'd died and she'd resigned herself to that- she would have to wait years to see them again. She'd been content if not happy.

"So." she spoke after what felt like a lifetime, lifting her head and meeting Bianca's gaze, "You're here to take me back to the mortal world so I can help save the world again. What happens after that?"

"For some reason I doubt that dad will try and drag you back." Bianca gave a faint smile, "He'll let you live for however long you're going to live and when the time comes you'll come back here-"

"Choc full of a lifetime worth of trauma caused by a second great prophecy." Percy added dryly, "Don't get me wrong Bianca, I- I'm not gonna be selfish I'll come back. I just- it sucks."

"I know." Bianca smiled sadly, "You looked so... different when I saw you talking with those guys in there. I think the entire time I've known you you've had that weight on your shoulders. It's nice seeing you free from that. Believe me I do feel bad for the fact that you're only being brought back because you're needed for another prophecy but-"

"It's not your fault." Percy waved a hand dismissively, "You're only doing what you were asked to." she shifted slightly, "It- It will be amazing to see the others again." gods but she'd get to see her family again- and- "The baby! Mom was pregnant- I don't know when she was due- I'll get to meet the baby-"

"You will." Bianca's face lit up too, "I was actually about to head to the hospital because Nico texted me, but then Grandma Rhea showed up and she told me I had to do this-"

"Wait are you saying?"

"If we're fast enough you'll get to meet your sister the day she's born-"

"Sister?" Percy's voice caught, her eyes almost flooding with tears at Bianca's words, "My sister? I'm having a baby sister?"

"Yeah. Nico told me-" she grinned, "Think he'll forgive me for taking so long to show up if I bring you back with me?"

"Hm, let me see- uh, yes!" and suddenly Percy found it easy to push back her worry about what was going to happen with the prophecy- yes the whole situation was kinda crazy and screwed up but- well- she was going to get a second chance at life wasn't she? She could handle another prophecy. It wouldn't be easy but she could do it- she'd help them fight the war against Gaea and her giants, and then- Percy felt a little hopeful laugh bubble up past her lips- then she'd get to finish school, she'd get to go on dates with her girlfriends, kiss them under the stars and on beaches- she could listen to Annabeth rambling about architecture again, and she pose for Rachel to paint her again just like she had before.

She'd be able to see Luke again- and tease him over how ridiculously in love he was with Thalia, and she'd be able to tease Nico too, about him and Will, and Leo- Hades had told her that her brother had used his reward to free Calypso and that they were together- she'd get to meet her brothers new girlfriend and give her all of the embarrassing stories that no one else even knew.

It was shocking how the world was suddenly so very full of possibility again.

And one day when it was all over she'd come back to Elysium and when she did it would be as an adult who'd lived a long happy life. She knew none of the others would mind- they would understand, and she trusted the older demigods to take care of the younger ones.

All of that raced through her mind in less than a second, and Bianca was grinning.

"You know for the first time since the battle I feel like I actually have a chance at somewhat redeeming myself." Bianca admitted, "I know I screwed up-"

"You were a kid." Percy said firmly as she stood up, "You were a dumb kid who made mistakes- don't forget that when I was twelve I actually trusted Alabaster. You made up for it when you showed up like a total badass to help us fight Kronos with your dad and his army."

"I don't think everyone else sees it that way." Bianca gave a wry smile, "But it's going to be better now." she took Percy's offered hand and rose to her feet.

"Dam straight-" and Bianca's lips twitched.

"Wow. Dam jokes, I haven't heard one of them in a long time."

"Well, how about this." Percy slung an arm over Bianca's shoulder, "When this is over we all go on a trip to the Hoover Dam again. I really wanna get a Dam tshirt-"

"You are such a weirdo." Bianca laughed despite herself.

"I know I am." Percy grinned, "Now, what are we waiting for. You've gotta bring a dead girl back to life."
