I've had a couple of people ask about the whole Ares Chariot quest thing, and I do have an answer to that- I've messed with the timeline a lot okay? Partially because I wanted to have a certain thing happen during the Chariot thing, which it will, as you shall see. Rachel is a badass bitch and a wonderful girlfriend.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this chapter and keep it up with the suggestions, I admit I'm kinda tempted to make Jason, Reyna and Piper Poly. Anyway, it won't be long until I'm starting writing the first of the HoO book so you'll have that to look forward to, hopefully anyway.

The Jackson Blofis wedding had been perfect- and Percy would stand by that until the day she died. It was one of the best days ever- seeing her mom and Paul both so happy, she was incredibly pleased when she'd noticed that Paul had shed a tear when he'd seen Sally in her dress. And most importantly there hadn't been a single monster attack- and, much to Percy's amused horror, while Chiron hadn't been able to attend since he'd had to look after camp, Mr. D had, bringing Ariadne with him. Percy had nearly tripped when she'd seen the two immortals sat on the brides side of the aisle- the wedding was held outside under the warm sun with flowers blooming all around them and a wooden archway with white roses twined around it at the bottom of the aisle where Paul was waiting.

Also- Thalia had agreed to wear a dress- Sally had chosen beautiful pale blue off the shoulder dresses for her bridesmaids- and Percy had made sure to take several pictures of Thalia in hers- as proof that the girl was, in fact capable of wearing a dress, and of Luke's expression when he'd seen Thalia in the dress, which Percy had labelled his 'lovesick puppy look'.

Not that Percy had been much better when she'd seen her girlfriends in their dresses, and they'd definitely agreed that she looked good in hers. Though all of the bridal party had declared that no one looked better than Sally did in her silver and gold gown.

And Percy was very much unashamed to admit that she'd cried during Luke's speech, and her girlfriends had held her hands during it.

In her defence it had been beautiful- he'd spent days working on it.

"My mom, Sally Jackson, for anyone who knows her it's hardly a secret that she's amazing. I was seven when I first met her. I was a scared little kid who's mother couldn't look after him, and mom, mom was pregnant at the time, heavily pregnant, and she'd only came to ask an old friend for some advice. And instead when she left my old home it was carrying a terrified seven year old with no idea of how she was going to handle things- but she did. It can't have been easy for her. But- she took me in and she raised me- she defended me at school when my teachers were mean because of my dyslexia and ADHD. And when Sephie was born- she never once made me feel left out. She included me in everything. And I loved her so much for it. I remember the first time I called her mom- I was whispering to Percy about cookies I think. And when I saw her watching I thought I'd be in trouble for it, but mom was happy, she loved me. And she never, ever treated us differently. No one would have blamed her for it if she did but she never did. Because that's who my mom is. Her heart is big enough for the world- I mean, take one look at our family and you'll see that. She's got a growing collection of kids because she won't ever turn a kid away. So- so when I say that my mother deserves the best you all know that I mean it. And honestly I've spent a long time thinking that no one would ever be good enough for her- that no man could ever even come close to deserving her. And then she met Paul- and... I have to say that if there's any man who deserves my mom it's him. Believe me I know that our family is chaotic, to say the least, but he's accepted everything, he helps my baby sister and my brothers with their school work, he makes mom smile- I've seen him come into the kitchen while she's baking and sweep her off her feet just to dance with her- and... I've seen love before- and when I see how he looks at her and she looks at him... I know that it's love. And I genuinely wish them all the luck in the world together. Because they both deserve to be happy. And I know they will be, together. So here's to the future- and Paul, good luck, you're going to need it when mom decides to adopt more strays."
In any case, the wedding had been perfect- and Percy had definitely filmed Will and Nico dancing together- it was one of the cutest things she'd ever seen- though after that she'd been whisked to the dance floor by her girlfriends who traded her between them before passing her to Luke as they danced together.

Of course, the day couldn't last forever and soon enough life was back to normal- or as normal as it got.

Which was probably why she should have expected to have something happen- she just wasn't expecting it to happen while she was at school.

Annabeth was visiting her dad for the week so she wasn't there.

Percy and Rachel were in fifth-period science class when it happened, they were both complaining about the fact that they didn't have their genius girlfriend to help them with the experiment.

"Is it supposed to be that color-

"I don't know." Percy hissed the words, "I thought you were listening-"

"I thought you were-"

"Did we put the wrong acid in?"

"I don't know?"

"What do we do should we ask-"

"No way." Rachel shook her head, "We'll get in trouble for not listening."

"Ugh well should we just dump it and start again-"

"Yeah that's probably the best way to avoid explos-" Rachel was cut off by a scrawking shrieking sound from outside and someone saying;

"Ow!"

"What's that?" Rachel whispered the words, and together the two girls darted over to the sink next to the window, Rachel carrying their beaker as a cover- and also because
they did need to clean it out.

The sounds were still going when they reached the window- it sounded like someone was being attacked by possessed poultry- and the fact that no one else seemed to have noticed put Percy on edge more than anything else.

When Percy peered out of the window she let out a slow groan.

In the alley outside of the classroom was a familiar figure, tall, muscular, and very clearly Clarisse, clad in a denim jacket and wearing big clunky combat boots. She was
hacking at a flock of black birds the size of ravens. Feathers stuck out of her clothes in several places. A cut was bleeding over her left eye. As they watched, one of the birds shot a feather like an arrow, and it lodged in her shoulder. She cursed and sliced at the bird, but it flew away.

Percy and Rachel exchanged wide eyed looks and, in a moment of instant silent communication Percy was hunching over, clutching her stomach as Rachel let out a loud worried noise, drawing all eyes to them.

"Oh no- Mrs White I think Percy's going to puke. Can I get her to the restroom and then the nurses office?"

And the panic on the teachers face would be comical if it wasn't for the seriousness of the situation outside- and when the teacher nodded and said "Go-" Percy and Rachel were already half way out of the door.

As soon as they were around the corner they were both shedding the lab coats, safety goggles and gloves.

As they ran Percy pulled Riptide from her pocket, and Rachel bent down, tugging the bottom of her paint stained jeans up to reveal a calf holster which held a Celestial Bronze dagger that Annabeth had gifted her after the whole Lou Ellen situation.

She had, rather appropriately, called it Blinder- Percy and Annabeth had giggled with her over that- the tribute to her lost blue hairbrush with which she had hit Kronos in the eye.

Thankfully no one stopped them as they sprinted out through the gym and they got to the alley just in time to see Clarisse smack a devil bird with the flat of her sword like she was hitting a home run.

The bird squawked and spiralled away, slamming against the bright roll and sliding into a trash can. Of course that still left a dozen more swarming around her.

Percy flicked her locket open, armor forming around her as she rushed forward.

"Heads up Clarisse-" and Clarisse turned her head, her eyes going wide, "

"Percy?" Clarisse's voice was startled, "Dare? What the fuck are you two doing here? And if you're here where's the brain box?"

"With her dad for the week-"

"And what are you-" She was cut short by a volley of feather arrows that zipped over her head and impaled themselves in the wall.

"This is my school!" Percy resisted the urge to throw her hands up into the air, "You're the one crashing my science class."

"Great!" Clarisse did not look pleased but she was too busy fighting to really complain, especially when Percy and Rachel got involved, Percy uncapping Riptide and swinging it in a lethal arch of sharp metal, slicing at the birds, deflecting their feathers as Rachel lunged and slashed at any birds she could reach- and she felt a rush of pride for her girlfriend at that sight- it really was amazing watching the other girl kick ass.

"Jackson!" Percy was snapped out of it by Clarisse's voice as a feather stabbed into her shoulder. "What the fuck are you doing?"

"Focus lover girl." Rachel's voice was teasing, and Percy pulled herself together enough to slash through the last bird, recapping Riptide when she was done- as Rachel was suddenly in front of her frowning as she yanked the feather out of Percy's shoulder.

"Lover girl?" Clarisse raised an eyebrow, "What the actual fuck Jackson?"

"We're poly." Percy spoke quickly, "Annabeth, Rache and I are all together."

"All three of you?" Clarisse raised an eyebrow, "Seriously- you know what on second thoughts I don't think I want to know. You guys get up to crazy shit constantly, this isn't any different. As long as you're not cheating or some shit because I don't wanna have to deal with the wrath of Annabeth Chase on the rampage-"

"I would never cheat-"

"Yeah, I know, you two are sickeningly sweet- it's probably worse now that it's three." Clarisse shook her head, but when Rachel held out some ambrosia she took it and nibbled on it, and Percy accepted a piece too- she wasn't seriously hurt or anything, she'd had worse, and the ambrosia eased the pain almost instantly.

"Yep. We're terrible." Percy declared, "So, what the actual fuck are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at camp or whatever right now?"

"I-" Clarisse looked away, "It's none of your business. I can handle it you go back-"

"Clarisse you nearly got killed right outside of my school." Percy's voice was sharp, "You're my friend. I'm not gonna let you deal with whatever the Hades this is on your own."

"What?" Clarisse looked surprised, "Friend-"

"Clarisse you're such a dumbass." Percy rolled her eyes, "Of course you're my friend- I mean you're a bully and a bitch but you're definitely on my list of friends. If you weren't before you would have been after our talk after I got back from Atlantis anyway."

Clarisse stared at them both for several beats before she groaned, "You're not going to let me leave on my own anyway are you?"

"Nope." Rachel's voice was almost singsong, "You can't go and almost get yourself killed and then expect us to help you out."

"Fine." Clarisse grunted, "Fine, but don't expect me to thank you or anything."

"Hah, as if. Now what in my favorite uncles name is going on?"

"I-" Clarisse looked uncomfortable- and angry, as if she wanted to punch Percy for daring to ask- but she also looked desperate, almost afraid, a rare look on Clarisse. Which meant whatever was going on it had to be serious.

"What is it?" Rachel stepped forward slightly, bending down and sheathing her dagger, "What are we getting ourselves into here?"

"It's my brothers." Clarisse admitted after a very long moment, "They're playing a prank on me."
