Time jump:
I followed a few steps behind him. My hands gripped to each other and head down. I didn't know how I would even begin. How to I start with to even explain what they did to me and my quirk. Would they even accept someone like me?
"Luna." Glancing up I spotted Aizawa holding a the door open for me. "When you are ready."
Taking in a few deep breaths, I slowly walked into the room. They all sat in a U shape table. Nezu in the middle, with the others at the sides. I froze at the still image behind Nezu on the projector. It was the night I was tossed in with Danny. I couldn't stop staring at how bloody I looked. Aizawa walked in behind me, placing his hand on my shoulder in a sign of comfort.
"Luna!" Nezu smiled. "How was the tour? Settled fine into your room?"
Swallowing the dry lump in my throat, I forced my sore voice to break free. "Y-yes thank you."
"Mic turn that off." Aizawa gave Nezu a look, as the guy with the crazy hair and speaker did as told.
"My apologies." Nezu bowed his head. "I had forgotten that was on."
Taking the seat Aizawa offered me, I laid my hands on my lap and keep my head down. It was silent. No one spoke for what felt longer than it was.
"Where are you originally from?"
I looked up, locking eyes with a beautiful woman. What caught my attention were the cuffs on her wrist. "What?"
"You're not from Japan I take it." I shook my head. "How did you end up here?"
This was it. Just bite the bullet and get it over with. Taking a deep breath, I glanced back down at my hands. They were clean. It's been years since they have been clean. "My father, he uhh, he sold me when I turned 13." There was the silence again. I didn't want to look up. Didn't want to see the pity in their eyes.
"Can you tell us what happened next?" A scrawny sick looking man asked. Funny though he smelled just like the tank man. "If you can."
I jumped at the sudden hand over mine. Glancing over at Aizawa, he gave me a slight nod. "Only if you want."
I knew telling them my what happened, might help anyone else going through it. "I was forced to shift that night. They sedated me. By the time I woke up, I was inside a cemented room." I was starting to get flashbacks once more. The beatings. The abuse and torture. I clinched my hands in a death grip. "They would come in every day. Sometimes twice a day. Beat me to get me to submit to them. I fought back and I would get beat to a pulp. The day I was too tired to fight back, was the first time they rewarded me with food." I felt sick to my stomach just repeating those words. "They kept this up for a long while. I learned it was best not to fight back In the end."
"Then what happened?" The lovely woman asked.
I shrugged. "I was taken to the lab."
Nezu pulled up a picture of a white corridor. "Here?"
"Y-yeah." I narrowed my eyes at the picture. "I was placed into another room numbered 275. We were all addressed as subjects and numbers. We were handled by the one we called Jailer."
"What did they do to you?" Mic asked, his voice the lowest anyone has ever heard it before.
"The doctor, would test us. He was obsessed with quirks. At first he simply tested my quirk. See how far he could push it. Tossed into the ring with others and forced to fight. Those that lost were never seen again. At first we didn't know what they were doing. But it wasn't hard putting the pieces together." I glanced down at my hand, only to find that it was Aizawa's hand I was gripping. Before I could drop it, he gave me a reassuring squeeze. "He had found a way of unifying more than one quirk in a person."
"Unify them?" Scrawny man scoffed. "That's Impossible."
I flinched at the glare he tossed my way. "That's what he did."
"What are your quirks?" Nezu asked.
"M-my own quirk is the ability to shift into any feline I desire." I raised my hand slowly aiming at the water in the jug. Forming a ball, I swirled It around letting it fall back in. "He gave me the ability to control the elements. Also the ability to speak with others through my mind, heal and speed." Looking up at the group I shrunk back. They all looked at me with unbelievably looks. "With each new quirk he gave me, came a new round of tests."
"What kind of test?" Aizawa spoke for the first time.
"When he gave me the ability of healing, he wanted to see just how fast it worked." I suddenly felt the pain running down my arm. The same one I felt that day. "He started with just small cuts and as my quirk developed and got stronger the more adventurous he became." I stopped not wanting to say anymore.
Aizawa seemed to have gotten the hint. "That's enough for now."
Nezu nodded. "Of course." He placed his little paws on the table in an excited gesture. "Now, I can offer you two options. Number one, if you wish so we can send you back to your home town."
I looked down at my hands once more. It's been who knows how long since I have seen my family. My brother and friends. But I couldn't go back. I was afraid father would simply tell them where to find me once more. I quick shook my head. "No please."
Aizawa frowned, glancing down at her. "Luna?"
"I-my father will simply tell them where to find me. I can't go back there." My fingers dug Into his hand. Holding on for dear life. In hopes that if I didn't let go I wouldn't have to go back. "Please."
"You will not be going back." Aizawa spoke with nothing but certainly. "I will not let them harm you." Raising his hand up to my chin, he waited until I made eye contact with him. "You have my word. While I am around, you will be safe."
I knew he meant those words, but he didn't understand just how bad the doctor was. He wouldn't give up so easily. He will do everything in his power to get what he wants back. But I wanted to believe him. I want to think I would be safe from now on. "T-thank you."
"Well, that brings me to the second option." Nezu spoke up once more. "Stay here at UA. We will sign you up as a student. Here you will learn everything you need in how to use and control those quirks of yours."
"B-but, wouldn't I have to get my parents to sign?" Back home I knew Xavier didn't require that. It was a save place for anyone with a mutation. But here, this is a different type of school.
"No need." The lady replied. "Ever since you were admitted into the hospital, All might here has taken care of all your paper works." She placed a hand on the sick looking dudes shoulder. "As of that day, he has become your guardian until we think of something else."
"T-thank you sir." I gave him a slight bow.
His low chuckle echoing caught my attention. "None needed little one."
"What course would she be joining?" A man I just noticed spike up. He had what appeared to be dreadlocks? Maybe, but they weren't hairs. He wore what appeared to be a gas mask and a cowboy hat.
Nezu ran a hand across his chin. Almost as if he was stroking a beard. "Well, we don't know just how much control she has over her quirks. Or the extent of her telepathy quirk as well. I would suggest she stays with Aizawa. In case something occurs, you can be there to stop it."
I frowned. "Stop it how?"
A small smirk appeared on his lips. "I will explain later."
"Now that, that has all been settled, Luna why don't you go get some rest." Nezu grinned. "You will be Introduced to your classmates later."
"Yes sir."
Aizawa stood to accompany me, only to be stopped by Nezu asking him to stay a bit. "Wait outside, I won't be long."
With Aizawa:
"So, what do you truly think of her?" Nezu asked the group.
All might was the first to speak up. "She's had been through something no body here can even being to imagine. And still she has the strength to keep going. That is being both brave and strong."
"All mights right." Midnight said. "And with the right training, she will make one hell of a hero."
"Aizawa?" Nezu glanced at the quite hero. "What are you thinking?"
"What effects will she suffer." The rest were confused by his statement. "We do not know how or what was used to fuse her quirks together. It's not like all might and his quirk. Or a copy quirk of sorts. What was the plan In doing something like this?"
"I must say you are correct." Nezu hummed. "And I will look into it. In the meantime, make sure she is settled and comfortable. I am sure the students didn't fail in noticing the young girl by your side."
Aizawa rolled his eyes, but left to it. Walking out of the room, he caught Todoroki speaking to her.
