The moment we stepped off the chopper, four men stepped forward taking Amir.

"Woah, who the hell are you?" Gibbs grabbed Amir, pulling him away from their reach.

One of the men, a handsome redhead glanced at Eyal. "We have orders to take this...man." He had a slight British accent. "He is to come with us."

"He is under arrest for kidnapping one of my agents." Gibbs said. "He is staying here."

A small growl bubbled from the man's throat. "Hand him over."

Eyal quickly stood between the new man and Gibbs. 'Charlie, calm yourself.'

'Control your packmate, Levine.' Charlie snapped.

I sniffed towards him, picking up on dirt and blood. 'Wolf?'

'He's the alpha in this city.' Nathan explained. 'We are here, only because he allows it.'

'And I am just now meeting him?' I scoffed. It was both out of respect and tradition to meet the alpha. In order to keep the peace between the packs and not start a war.

Nathan nudged me gently. 'He was out, must have just gotten here.'

'I called him.' Eyal replied. 'He needed to be aware of what was occurring in his turf.'

'The pack trial?' I asked.

Nathan nodded. 'But in order to do that, Gibbs needs to hand him over.'

I glanced between the two males. Gibbs may be just a human, but the man was an alpha. He led his team and protected them as one should. Giving in and simply handing over Amir was not in his nature. Glancing at Charlie, I could tell he was no pushover either. If he needed to, he seems the type to take things by force. He stood at least 6'1. Muscular lean build. In the prime of his time. The last thing I needed was a blood bath between the packs and the team.

'Is the trial really necessary?' I asked. 'And does this really concern him?'

Charlie's steel-blue eyes landed on me, causing a cold shiver to run down my spine. 'In the human world, a criminal is simply punished by locking them into a cage. Like the animals, they pretend to be. No complaints here.' He stated. 'But when the one taken is one of ours, we do the trial. This occurred in my territory. I had given my word that nothing would happen to either of you, for as long as you are on my land. That human will be trialed by the packs.'

I lowered my head, ensuring he understood my apology. 'Forgive me, I meant no disrespect.'

Nathan glanced around, just now noticing where we stood. 'We need to get a move on. We are not in the most of private places for this.'

Eyal sighed, grabbing the sweats from Ziva's hands he trotted off into the opposite side of a car. Seconds later he came out shifted. The man wore a set of sweats and no shirt. "Agent Gibbs, Amir was not brought back here for your beneficiary. He was brought back to pay for the crime he committed."

"And he will be punished." Gibbs assured him.

Eyal shook his head. "I will not stand here and argue about something you won't understand. We have laws, just like yours. Amir broke those laws, knowing very well what he was doing."

Charlie moved to stand beside Eyal. "Even if you proceed to take him in, I guarantee he will not make it out of the building." Gibbs narrowed his eyes at the man. "We will take him by force if that is what you want."

I stood between Charlie and Gibbs, warning him to back off. 'He is off-limits. No one touches him.'

Charlie frowned, slowly understanding. 'He's your mate. How unlucky.'

"Gibbs." Ziva whispered. "It's not worth the bloodshed."

Charlie stepped forward, taking Amir away. Amir although putting on a brave face, he reeked of fear and desperation. He was terrified of what was to come. I didn't blame him. The last pack trial I saw, was nothing but blood and gore. Gibbs glared at the retreating bodies, clenching his fist.

'Eyal?' Nathan made a let's go gesture. 'We must gather the packs.'

'Right.' Grabbing Ziva's hand, he pulled her to the side. "Stay with your team until I get back. There will be two pack mates guarding you at all times. I have to leave for a few hours."

"What's going to happen to Amir?" Ziva asked.

Eyal debated for a moment, not sure if he should answer with the truth. "He took our mates, love. There is no way around this." Giving her a quick kiss, he took off towards a waiting car.

Nathan trotted after, stopping to look at me. 'You coming?'

'Y-yeah.' Sparing one last glimpse at Gibbs, I jumped into the car.

Time jump:

Eyal, Charlie, Nathan, and I stood on top of a Boulder. Torches on either side, giving us light. Not that we needed it. In front of us, stood Eyal's and Nathan's packs. Between us was a kneeled and blindfolded Amir. His hands were tied behind his back as well. The pack growled, barely holding back.

Nathan stepped forward, instantly gaining the attention of everyone. "I am sure you are all aware of why we are gathered here." Multiple growls were heard. "If you don't, let me refresh your memory. Two days ago, both Alphas Ziva and Alex were taken." Jumping off the rock, he approached Amir and grabbed a hand full of the man's hair, pulling his head back. "This thing is responsible, for not only taking but harming your alphas! Two alphas who at the moment are carrying pups!" Letting go of Amir's head ruffly, he called for two of his pack mates. They pushed past the packs, dragging another with them. "Amir is not the only one on trial tonight. Two others were involved in this. One has already paid for his crimes. I leave this one to you." Taking the sack off Manny's head, he allowed the others to take in his familiar scent.

"You are being trialed for your crimes as our law says. You will be hunted down as you have hunted us down. You will be shown no mercy or forgiveness, just as you have shown us." Eyal stepped down, grabbing a knife one of the females handed him. Cutting the ties from both Amir and Manny, he slashed their arms. The smell of blood had the wolves on the verge of breaking. "There is a bridge a few miles down the woods. Cross it and you have earned your life back."

The packs made a path for the two, allowing them to walk deeper into the woods. They were to be given a five-minute head start. The packs were slowly losing the little patience they had. The smell of blood teasing their senses. They were ready for the hunt. We were about to show them the reason many called us monsters.

Nathan took off his shirt, shifting within seconds. 'After you.'

Jumping off the rock, I walked towards the front of the packs. Glancing back at Eyal, he gave me a slight nod at the five minutes being up. At that moment I pushed against my back legs and took off. I could hear the rest of the wolves running behind me. Taking a leap and falling to the ground fully shifted. Nathan was hot on my heels but refused to run past me.

At the moment I didn't care. My senses were locked on Amir's scent. Nathan took a sharp left, most likely going off after Manny. A few others going with him. They were not about to miss a fight. Jumping over a fallen tree, I growled at suddenly losing the man's scent. Stopping in my tracks, I sniffed around trying to pick up on it once more.

'Where the hell did he go?'

'Follow the river.'

I looked up at the unfamiliar voice. A large grey phased wolf stood a few feet away from me. 'Charlie. River?'

'His scent stops at the edge of the stream. He's using it to hide his scent.'

Taking off downstream, I caught movement a few yards ahead. Amir was giving it his all to escape. The pack no longer wanting to hold back their nature, broke free. We ran forward sparing the man no time to think or react. I jumped into the air, pouncing onto his back and knocking him face-first into the water. Scrambling to my feet, I sunk my teeth into his arm. The others grabbed onto anything they could and pulled. Purposely avoiding anywhere that would end his life too soon. Biting down on his arm, I tugged hard, causing my teeth to rake down his arm. Amir's screams were music to our ears at the moment.

The pack tore him apart. Legs, arms, fingers, all ripped. Amir was nothing, but a pile of meat in a pool of blood by the time we were done. The stream ran red from his stained blood. An offering of forgiveness to the earth for staining her of this pig's blood. Glancing down at my reflection in the running water, I grimace. My entire face was soaked in blood, droplets still falling. Looking up at the others they looked just as bad as I did.

As we walked back, we met up with Nathan and his group. Nathan himself was soaked in blood. It was almost as if he had bathed in it. I noticed a few wounds on him, but nothing to alarm myself over.

'Feel better?' Nathan asked, nudging into me.

I was about to respond a yes, but instead, I pushed us away from the packs. Once I was sure we were alone, I sat down. 'Can you hear them?'

Nathan frowned. 'Them? Who? The packs?'

'No...our pups.' I refused to look at him. Asking that question was making me feel like the worse mother out there. 'Can you?' Nathan stepped forward, lowering his head to my stomach. He held there for a good while, not saying a word. Hell, I think he might have stopped breathing for a second. 'Nathan?' Getting no response had me imagining all sorts of things. Had I lost my pups? 'Nathan!'

'They are fine Alex.' Nathan whispered. 'Beating strong.'

A sense of relief came over me. 'Oh, thank god.'

'Why didn't you say anything before?'

I shrugged. 'Scared to ask and hear the wrong answer. Ashamed to even have to ask. Of what you might think of me.'

Nathan laughed, not believing what he was hearing. 'Alex, I would never think of anything but love and admiration for you. You have been through hell and back. Not once showing signs of wanting to give up.'

'And I don't think she ever will.' Eyal broke through the bushes, followed by a bloody Charlie.

I didn't recognize the smell of blood. 'What happened to you?'

Charlie gave me a toothy grin. 'I had my little fun elsewhere.'

'All done?' Eyal asked, cutting Charlie off with a look.

Nathan nodded. 'This part. We still have the humans.'

I couldn't help, but hear the slight distaste in his voice. But then again it wasn't uncommon for wolves to dislike humans. 'So, let's get going.'

'Charlie, I will speak with you tomorrow?' Nathan said.

The gray phased wolf nodded. 'I will have someone come look for you. I have a few things I must handle first.'

I glanced up at him. 'Everything alright?'

'Yes. Nothing we can't handle.' He turned to leave, only to pause for a moment. 'Stay clear of the east side of the woods tomorrow morning. At least until you hear from us.' With that he took off, his pack following closely behind.

I noticed his pack mates were larger than Nathan's and Eyal's. All were dark-colored, from black to dark chocolate. The only light-colored was him. He was familiar to me, I know I have seen him. But I just couldn't pinpoint where the hell from. But something told me, I was going to see much more of him.

Time jump:

Nathan and Eyal walked on either side of me, their eyes scanning the streets. Their ears picking up on even the smallest of noises. The rest of the packs had gone back. Many were staying at Nathan's place. The majority had gone back home, meeting up with those left behind to protect their home.

"Enough!"

We all stopped at the sound of Ziva's angry voice. Eyal was the first to react. We followed after, turning the corner to finding Eyal holding Tony up against the wall. Ziva was trying to get him to let go.

With Ziva:

Ziva stepped out of the car, allowing the others to go in before her. She wanted to wait for Eyal, not wanting to face the team alone. She didn't even know where to start. It was a shocker for them to even know he was a wolf, let alone the chance of her children coming out shifters as well. They were in for a treat tonight.

"Hey." Tony walked out of the building, holding a sweater out for her. "You alright?"

"Yeah." Taking the sweater, she slipped it on. Noticing it fit a bit tighter than before. "Waiting for Eyal."

"Eyal. Right."

She couldn't have missed the distaste in his tone, even if she was deaf. "What's your issue with Eyal?"

"I have no issue." Tony mumbled.

Ziva raised a brow. "Could have tricked me."

"It's fooled Ziva."

"You know what I mean." Ziva said. "Ever since you met him, it has been nothing but negativity from you."

"I have nothing against the guy Ziva." Tony turned to walk away, but Ziva had other plans. Being turned back around, by her he sighed. "Let it go."

"Not until you tell me why you hate him?" Ziva asked.

Tony clenched his jaw. "Alright, I'll tell you. Because of him, you were nearly killed Ziva! I always knew something was off about him. Since the day you introduced him. Now you are going to tell us he's a fucken wolf!" Grabbing her by the shoulders, he forced her to look at him. "He came into your life only for one thing. To ruin it. We almost lost you today. I almost lost you! Do you have any idea what I felt when they told us you were taken? The desperation?" Without fully thinking about his next actions, he cupped the back of her neck and pulled her into a kiss.

Ziva was both shocked and confused. There was a time she would have melted into his kiss. Seek comfort in his arms, but that was no more. Placing her hands on his chest, she shoved him away. "Enough!"

Tony was shocked by what he saw. "You have got to be joking." Before he could really comprehend what he saw, Eyal appeared between them. Tony was slammed against the wall, groaning at the impact to his back.

"You have no right in touching my mate!" Eyal growled.

Tony gripped the man's arm, trying to get him off. "Let go!"

"Eyal, let him go." Ziva ordered, placing her hand on his arm. "Please."

"Disrespect as this is not something I take lightly Ziva." Eyal said. "No one is allowed to touch you. Especially him."

"He didn't mean it." Ziva replied. "It was just a spur of the moment. Nothing more." She refused to look at Tony. She knew he was hurt and her words were just salt added to the wound. "Let go."

Alex growled a warning, eyeing the two men. What Tony did was reckless and stupid, but he was still her packmate. Eyal could not harm him in any way. Punishment was to come from his alpha only. Should Eyal try and discipline Tony, Alex would take that as a challenge.

'Let him go, Lavine.' Alex growled.

Eyal growled back. 'I wi-'

'You will. Right now.' Taking another few steps, she bared her teeth at him. 'Touch my packmate. My team. And I will rip your arm off.'

With a reluctance huff, he released Tony. "Don't ever touch her again."

Tony glared at the man, before turning to Ziva. "I guess you two really are made for each other." Soothing his neck, he pushed past everyone.

Eyal was quick to stop Ziva from going after him. "Let him cool off. In the meantime, let's go take care of the others."

"Yeah."

Alex:

I watched Tony storm off towards his car. Cringing at the speed he took off in. I wanted to go to him, give him some comfort. But I was torn. Ziva was also a part of my pack and so was the team. Tony was stupid to do what he did, but I understood him. Seeing the person you love with someone else. It was a punch to the gut.

'Alex?' Nathan stood by the door. 'You coming?'

I took a step towards him, stopping to glance back behind me. 'I-'

'It's alright love.' Nathan chuckled. 'He's pack.'

Arriving at the house, I spotted his car in the driveway. The back tires were on the lawn, while the front narrowly missed the garage door.

'Damn.' Trotting up to the door, I clawed at the bottom. 'Open the door!'

Tony pulled the door open, frowning down at her. "What are you doing here? How did you get here? Why are you bloody?"

'Doesn't matter.' Pushing past him, I jumped onto the couch. There was a bottle of hard liquor on the table half empty.

Tony scoffed. "Make yourself at home." Closing the door, he fell next to me.

Eyeing the bottle I whimpered. 'Drowning the sorrows?'

"What?" Reaching for the bottle, I placed my hand on his arm. "Come on now, that's all I have right now." Holding my gaze for a few seconds, he gave up and released the bottle. "Fine. Can't believe I am arguing with a damn wolf."

Crawling into his lap, I placed my head on his shoulder. His scent was driving a hard depression into me. He was shattered. 'I know it sucks right now, but there is someone special for you out there.'

"You ever loved someone, only to see them run into the arms of another?" Tony asked. His hand ran soothingly up and down my back. "Someone so perfect you thought you were dreaming? Everything they did was nothing less than perfection."

I chuckled. 'I wouldn't describe it like that, but yeah. I have.'

"Only for all those dreams to come crashing down because of one man." Tony's voice held distaste and anger.

Even if I could talk at the moment to him, there was nothing I could say. In moments like this, it was best to simply comfort him. Snuggling in closer to him, I allowed him to pull in closer. A heartbreak was one of the worse pains.

Time jump:

Groaning at the warm sunlight hitting my face, I flipped around away from it. Moving my arm to use as a pillow, I snuggled deeper into the blanket.

'Arm?' Waking up with a jolt, I stared down at myself. I was butt naked. On the floor. "What the hell?!" Looking around, I grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around myself. "What happened last night?" I remember coming with Tony. Falling asleep and that was it. "Shit! Tony." Tippy toeing towards his room, I exhaled as seeing him still asleep. "Thank god." At this moment I needed to get the hell out of here. The 'how I shifted back' can wait till later.

Shifting back into the wolf, I took the back door out. I needed to get to Nathan's and figure out why I was able to shift again. Not that it was a bad thing. I finally had control of my body once more. Running across the lawn of the house, I bolted into the house, up the stairs, and into Nathan's room. Jumping onto the bed, I startled him awake.

"Bloody hell Alex!" Nathan groaned, falling back into his pillow. "You know normal girlfriends wake their man up with a kiss or b-"

"But then again we aren't really normal."

Nathan chuckled. "No, I suppose we are not. What ha-" He suddenly stopped mid-sentence, sitting up in one quick movement. "You're you!"

"When have I not been me?" I teased.

"You know what I mean!" Nathan laughed, pulling me in closer. "You can shift back! How?!"

"I don't know. I woke up like this."

Nathan's eyes ran all over my body. Almost as if he was attempting to memorize every detail. "Silver wore out?"

"No, if I am right I still have about 5 months before that." I replied. "Any other way silver can be removed or flushed out?"

Nathan thought for a moment. His hand yet to let go of mine. "Only other way I know of if bleeding it out."

"Bleeding it out?"

"It's how I got mine out." He said. "You basically allow yourself to be drained of the tainted blood, allowing clean one to take its place. But, you haven't gone through that."

"Not in that way no." I jumped off the bed, walking over to his closet. "But, if you put all the times I have bled these past months."

"That must have cleaned out the majority of it." Nathan realized. "What are you looking for?"

"Something to wear." Pulling out a black t-shirt, I slipped it on. The shirt was big enough to cover it all. "Perfect." Spinning around to face him, I blushed at the look he was giving me. "What?"

"You have any idea just how sexy you look in my shirt right now?" Nathan flashed his half-smirk, climbing off the bed. Making his way over to me, he gently wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me flush against his chest. The warmth swept out of him and into me. "I have been dying to have you like this. Feel your warmth against mine."

"You are not the only one Nathan." I whispered. "I was getting tired of just being able to feel you as a wolf." Just as his lips landed on my neck, someone knocked on the door.

Nathan growled. "Someone better be dying!"

"Alpha Charlie and Eyal are here." Ty's gruff voice had just killed the mood.

"We'll be out in a minute." Turning his attention back at me, he turned me around to face him.

Using his size, he walked me back into the wall. Grabbing my hands, he moved them up over my head and held them there. His free hand slid past my jaw and cupped the back of my neck. Leaning forward, he paused just before touching my lips. I knew what he wanted, but there was no way in hell I was going to beg him. No matter just how much I wanted to. Flashing that half-smirk of his, he claimed my lips with his. A quiet moan slipping past my lips, as he tilted my head to deepen the kiss.

It wasn't a demanding kiss. It was gentle and loving. Nathan was not wanting to show his claim or dominance over me. This kiss was just meant to show his love. And that alone was enough to have me at his will.

Pulling away slowly, he exhaled with a low growl. "I am going to kill Eyal." Pushing himself reluctantly away, Nathan reached for his shirt and sweats.

I watched him slip the sweats on, groaning at seeing them lay comfortably just below his hip. A small visual of the defined V. "And you call me a tease?"

Nathan laughed. "Speaking of teases, you are not walking out of here with just my shirt on." Reaching into one of his drawers, he handed me a pair of sweats. "Don't take too long."

Time jump:

After taking a much-needed shower, I changed and walked out of the room. If only I had a camera to catch the look on Eyal's face. The man had bulgy eyes and his mouth dropped open.

"Hey boys." Taking a seat beside Nathan, I raised a brow at Eyal. "You trying to catch a fly or something?"

Clearing his throat, he tossed me a glare. "So, you can shift back?"

"Yeah, it appears all the bleeding I have done worked for something good." I chuckled.

"You bled the silver out." Eyal rolled his eyes. "Why the hell didn't we think of that before?"

Nathan scoffed. "As if I would have even allowed it."

I quirked a brow. "Allowed it? It's just a little bleeding Nathan."

"No, it's basically draining all of your blood." He replied. "Until the silver is completely gone."

"But in order to do that, we must cut to the source of the blood." Eyal said.

"Veins and major arteries." Charlie jumped in. "Our healing would close the wounds within seconds. So in order to clean our blood of anything, the cut must be done multiple times."

"I understand." In my case, the wounds were done randomly and in different manners. I didn't suffer the traditional way, as I am sure many of them have. Which reminds me. "Nathan, did you do that?"

Nathan nodded, his hand soothing his chest. "Yeah, the only way to hurry the process and get back to normal. Charlie here was the one to actually help me."

The alpha male simply shrugged. "I owed him a favor."

"Right, well I suppose there is a very good reason as to why you are here?" Nathan asked.

Eyal nodded. "We did some digging around and we found the gang associated with the taking of Ziva and Alex."

"Where?" Nathan's voice was all growl.

"Calm yourself." Charlie growled back. "They were hired to do so. Not personal vendetta with either of you."

"It became personal the moment they put their hands on my mate!" Nathan snarled back.

Charlie stepped up to him. His growl was a low deep one, yet sent chills down my spine. "They have been taken care of. Do not forget where you are Nathan. I will not have a war brought down on my pack or territory, because of your lack of control."

Nathan reluctantly stepped back. "Understood."

"Besides, we found out who hired them." Eyal continued, forcing the males from breaking contact. "Elijah."

I perked up at hearing the name. "Elijah?"

"Who?" Nathan frowned.

"Elston." I mumbled. "But what would he have gained with all of this?"

"Everything." Charlie said. "By taking you, he would have had the chance to mate and claim you. By taking Ziva, he would easily remove Eyal from the picture."

I shook my head violently. "That makes no sense. I have already been claimed. He knows that. And I am with pups already."

"Which explains the terms of your hostage." Charlie stated. "They focused on keeping you still. In the end, all they did was beat you."

"They wanted to kill the pups." I gasped. "By killing them..."

"Your heat would have come back in weeks' time." Nathan finished. "But she is claimed. Alex accepted me."

Charlie gave him a 'come on' sort of look. "When has that stopped anyone. The heinous crimes humans do are not limited to their kind. This wolf is not only driven by want, but by need and desperation. He wants her, but he also wants the power that will come." Glancing over at me, he locked his blue eyes with mine. "I know he is-was a friend of yours, but that is a rabid wolf. The only way to help him is by-"

"Putting the rabid wolf out."
