Hey guys, it’s Ben. I know it’s late, but I can’t sleep, so I figured I’d give ya’ll an update. As it stands, I AM WORKING ON KH:A, it’s just that right now, Crystal Vanguard is warranting more attention from me for several reasons. For the moment, the only two stories I’m actively working on are Crystal Vanguard and KH:A. The reason that chapter six isn’t out yet is because of simple creative stoppage, writers block if you will. I’ve been hit with many muses for this story, my roommate being a HUGE help to perfecting Sora’s interactions and general thought processes. I don’t claim to be an expert in Kingdom Hearts, but he is.

Here’s an idea of how much he loves Kingdom Hearts. He played through and 100%’d KH 2 Final Mix on the highest difficulty, with nothing but the Kingdom Key. Seriously. I watched him do it (this was just before we CRUSHED FFXII). He talked someone who is terrible at RPG’s through it. Talked. I am not exaggerating.

There is also another thing that has been hampering my creative juices. My roommates were, unfortunately, forced to kick me out of our apartment as I wasn’t actually on the lease for it. So, it was either I had to move out on my own (I was not and am never going to move back in with my parents) or watch as they had their lives uprooted again. I wasn’t going to watch that. They’re good people and by this point, for all the things they’ve done for me, they’re my best friends and are damn near family. Hell, I call their kids my nephews. No amount of thank you’s will ever truly equate to the gratitude I have for them. Moving in with them has made me not only a better writer, but a better person as a whole.

I’m still a smart ass and blunt as fuck, but now I’m far more confident in who I am and who I wanna be. Before I moved in with them, the idea of getting a place of my own and living for myself terrified me, but now, I feel like I can really live. I’m working a stable job that I enjoy, a real job. I’m making real friends, people who wanna hang with me for me, doing things that I never thought I’d be able to do. Even now, as I’m typing this, I’m in a motel room that’s been paid for two weeks, getting my feet wet in the real world. Yeah, it’s scary, and I know that I’ve got a lot to learn and do before I can say I can stand truly on my own without a nudge of help here or there, but I’m making those first few steps. I don’t care who’s proud or unhappy with how I’m living, because I’m happy. Something I haven’t been in a very long time.

So, please, my beautiful, beautiful readers, be patient. Chapter six is almost upon us, I’m just trying to perfect the lead up to the Mila Tree and the battle there. And, if you read Crystal Vanguard, be on the lookout, because the next episode will be out shortly. I hope.
