Mammoth Cave Key
"And that's what happened last night." Lara told everyone at the table about the spider incident
"Well that explains the commotion," said Rachel
Everyone was at the table eating breakfast.
"You both are still afraid of spiders?" Tom asked Otis and Phoenix
"I hate those things, too many legs," said Phoenix
"And too many eyes. Just freaky man, just freaky." Otis shuddered
Darcy had burst out laughing, everyone else looked at her.
"What? It was hilarious!" Darcy was still laughing "You two ran up and climbed onto the table like that thing was going to murder you guys! What makes this even funnier is that Lara held it at gunpoint!"
"I know I held a spider at gunpoint. Don't rub it in." Lara rolled her eyes
"You know what that reminds me of?" asked Jonah "Do you remember the time when you held a spider at arrowpoint when Sam clung onto a chandelier to escape it?"
"Jonah…" Lara buried her face in her hands in embarrassment
"What's the story behind that?" asked Darcy, curious
"Let's just say, after dealing with the spider and taking it outside, guess who had to buy a new chandelier?" Lara pointed at herself.
"Okay everyone, if you are all done embarrassing each other, don't you guys have to get ready to go to Mammoth Cave?" asked Rachel
After breakfast everyone started to pack their things to get ready to go to Mammoth Cave to find the next Fire Bird Feather Key. They said goodbye to Rachel and Tom who promised to keep them updated on what is going on with Salem and Ramona.
"Abusers tend to go crazy whenever their victim is out of their hold so Tom and I will keep an eye on them to see if they try something," said Rachel
"All of you please be safe and come back in one piece," said Tom
"Don't worry Dad, we will," said Darcy
Phoenix, Jonah, Lara, Darcy, and Otis got in their cars and drive off, with Rachel and Tom waving.
"See you all later and drive safely!"

"So apparently a new cavern inside had been discovered by Trinity and they closed Mammoth Cave off so they could investigate it. I believe that might be where the Fire Bird Feather Key is." Otis radioed Phoenix, Lara, and Darcy
Phoenix, Lara, and Darcy had stealth killed the guards, made their way inside the cave and started to traverse it.
"That sounds like a good start," said Lara
The three of them kept traversing through the cave until they reached the entrance to the hidden passageway where two guards were standing nearby it. The three of them hid behind some crates so as not to be spotted. Lara drew her bow out which she equipped with a poison arrow and she fired at one of the guards. Upon hitting the guard in the heart it also released a poison gas which took out the second guard.
They enter the passageway following a trail of oil on the ground. They followed it until they reached a room which had an entrance recently blown up with explosives. It was surrounded by oil barrels and there was a squad of ten Trinity soldiers with one of them walking towards a pedestal that has a Fire Bird Feather Key.
Lara, Phoenix, and Darcy hid behind separate crates. Lara threw a bottle at the ground several feet from her hiding spot drawing three Trinity soldiers out. One of them got close to Phoenix's crate, Phoenix drew her knife out and stabbed the man in the back, killing him. Another one got close to Lara's hiding spot and she strangled him with her bow. Once the last one got near Darcy's she jumped onto his back and proceeded to strangle him. The other Trinity soldiers notice her.
"Hostile in sight!" yelled one of the men as all of them drew their guns out
"You've got to be joking me," said Darcy
Darcy and Phoenix drew their firearms out and began shooting at the Trinity soldiers and the fight was on. In the chaos Lara saw the Trinity soldier that had the Fire Bird Feather Key in his hand try to run away.
"Oh no you don't." Lara fired an arrow at the man hitting him in the leg to stop him from escaping. Lara then walked over and finished him off with her climbing axe and took the Fire Bird Feather Key from him. One of the Trinity soldiers started using a machine gun firing it in their direction.
"Take cover!" yelled Phoenix
They ran behind a large stalagmite to take cover.
"Okay what are we going to do? That thing is going to shred us!" Phoenix stated
Lara remembered the trail of oil they followed to get to where they are now and that there were barrels leaking oil in the area with one of them being right next to the machine gun. So far there were only five Trinity soldiers left.
"Start shooting the oil barrels as soon as you both see them move right next to them." Lara instructed as she started preparing a fire arrow.
Darcy and Phoenix went back to shooting at the Trinity soldiers, pushing them towards the oil barrels. Darcy and Phoenix shot two oil barrels causing them to explode and kill two Trinity soldiers and injuring two more. Lara shot a fire arrow at the direction of the oil barrel right next to the man wielding the machine gun causing an explosion and setting the oil on fire which killed the remaining Trinity soldiers. The three of them realized that they were standing near the oil trail and ran out of there before the fire could reach them.
"Okay, I should probably check where the trail of oil leads before shooting a fire arrow at it next time," said Lara after they got out of Mammoth Cave
"I was about to say the same thing," said Phoenix
"At least try not to do that again," said Darcy
