*Chapter 9: Catch Harley Quinn*

A smoke bomb was thrown by Batman, and smoke surrounds the goons. Mia backed away and hear coughing from Joker's men. Harley was swinging around, yelling at the men to find Batman, but he was nowhere to be found. Mia figured he could be hiding in the smoke and use his detective mode to take down the enemies. A baseball bat rolled down on the floor, and Mia picked it up.

"Where the hell is he?" One man asked, looking around in the smoke.

"I can't see shit!"

"Keep it together!"

"You dumbasses, he's right there!" Harley shouted. Batman takes down two goons and unload the guns. Mia snuck up one man who is about to shoot Batman, she swung the bat to hit him in the back of the head. "Ohh! That's gotta hurt!" Harley says as she watched. Batman gave one man a hard punch in the mouth, nearly breaking the man's teeth. "Keep away from the fists!" Harley called out.

"Why don't you get your ass down here and face us?" Mia asked with a look. She is tired of chasing Harley around already and want this night over with.

"Nah, I'm good up here, Harlow!" Harley taunted as she keeps swinging around. Batman broke one of the goons' wrists and glare up at Harley. Mia watched the female clown jump down and the gate is locked behind her. "Was that as easy as it looked? Hmm, well it won't be so easy trying to catch me!" Harley blew a kiss before running off to another room. Mia growled in annoyance.

"I've had it!" She said. She climbed down the ladder, but Batman grabbed her arm. "Let me go after her!"

"No! It's too dangerous! I promise she will be stopped." Batman said with a look. "Stay with me." Mia took a deep breath to calm herself. She touched his hand and nodded at him. Plus, she forgot the floors are still on. "Wait here. I'll turn them off." Batman told her by going into the control system. He noticed a gun used by the Ventriloquist in the glass case on the wall.
After the floors are deactivated, Batman and Mia climbed down and began to follow Harley's trail. Batman couldn't help but to smirk to see how feisty Mia could be, and he loves it.

In the Guard Room, Batman and Mia see two guards hanging above the water with electricity. Both of them recognize one guard. Ben Vanover. Harley appeared behind the glass in the room.

"Look who's finally turned up! The Dork Knight himself! How's it hanging, Bats?" Harley taunted. She pointed at the hanging guards, asking how is Batman going to save them. Batman ignored her and took out a sequencer to turn off the electricity. Mia glared at Harley, crossing her arms. "Aww, what's the matter, Nurse Harlow? Not having a good time?"

"Wait till we get to you, Harley! I promise I won't go easy on you!" Mia told her. Harley let out a laugh. But noticed Batman finished hacked a device. Harley then decided to reveal a bomb from a purple present and Batman has two minutes to save the guards. "Really?" Mia sighed.

"Yes, really!" Harley spat. Mia threw her hands up and turn away from the woman and see Batman hacking another device. He threw his batarangs to cut down the guards. They quickly run out of the water, but they are not out of the woods yet. They are locked inside the room. Harley told everyone they have thirty seconds to get out and she disappeared.

"That bitch!" Ben yelled. "How the hell are we gonna get out of here?"

"Calm down!" Mia said.

"There has to be a way out!" The other guard said. Batman quickly used his sequencer to hack the security gate codes. The doors finally open and everyone got out. Ben leaned over against the wall. "I thought we were both gonna die in there." A guard said.

"You're safe now." Batman told him.

"I'm glad to see you, Batman. And should I ask why Mia is with you?" Ben asked, looking over at Mia.

"Never mind that, Vanover. I'm going to stop Harley and her boyfriend." Batman said.

"You expecting congratulations?" Harley's voice spoke. "C'mon. Try and catch me."

"Screw it." Mia spoke and took off without Batman. The Dark Knight turned to see her leave the room alone. He had to catch up to her. Dangerous lunatics are loose around the building.

Mia entered in the Extreme Incarceration to see some more cells and Harley in the guard tower with a tv screen above the window. To the right, Mia sees a cell with ice. Mr. Freeze's cell. But he isn't inside. Mia let out a sigh of relief. She didn't want to face that man, yet she felt sorry for him. All he wanted is to find a cure for his wife he kept frozen for years.

"Well, well. Nurse Harlow is here all alone. But where is the Dark Knight?" Harley taunted.

"It's you and me, Quinn. I've had enough of your games!" Mia said.

"There is more to come, Harlow! You ain't seeing nothing yet!" Harley said with a smirk. "Mr. J is really looking forward seeing you at the party, just as long as you are still around the island with Batman!" Coming up from behind Mia is Batman. As if on cue, the tv came on and reveal the Joker. "Here he comes, Mr. J!" Harley said. Mia turned back to her dark hero.

"I'll let this one slide, Mia." Batman said to the nurse. "Next time, stay with me."

"Excellent!" Joker giggled. "I'll leave it to you, then, my dear!" Harley called out her men to get Batman. But the electric floors are involved. Both Batman and Mia will have to climb up to another floor to avoid the shocking one. Batman took care of the goons, yet some got shocked by the floors. Mia chuckled a bit. Harley lost the game.

"You've done it again." Harley growled. "I don't believe it. I'm on my way now."

"Oops. Change of plan, kiddo." Joker spoke.

"But I tried my best!"

"Sorry, there is no prize for second place. I'm afraid you're off the party list. Better luck next time." The Joker giggled as Harley jumps up and down in anger like a child.

"No!" Harley cried out.
The doors open and reveal Harley running out with her flips and turn towards Batman. Mia found herself a chance to strike her. She made a fist and punch her in the jaw. Harley stumbled back. Mia grabbed her pigtails and ram her head against the railing. Harley felt dazed after.

"Damn that felt good." Mia said with a smirk, shaking her fist after giving her a punch. Batman walked over to Harley to grab her by the arm, but she pulled away.

"Hey! Hands off the merchandise!" She spat. Batman caught something and reached for her top. Mia blinked at him, but realized he got the list. "That's my party list!"

"Quiet!" Batman growled as he opened the list. He sees the familiar names. Selina Kyle. Harvey Dent. Jervis Tetch. Basil Karlo. Waylon Jones. Oswald Cobblepot. Arnold Wesker. Luke Oliver. "Why the smiles next to certain names?" Batman asked, showing the list to Harley who got on her feet.

"You're the detective. You tell me." Harley replied. She tried to hit him again, but Batman grabbed her and brought her down to the floor. He used a sequencer to scan Harley's hand. "Huh?"

"What're you doing?" Mia asked. Batman didn't answer as he picked up Harley and threw her in Cell 3.

"You won't find Mr. J, he's in the secret lab in the gardens and... Oh, crap!" Harley growled. Batman and Mia walked away and smirk to themselves.

"Yup, I know." Batman replied. Mia turned around and gave Harley a middle finger. Harley hissed.

"See ya, Quinn!" Mia tauned.

"He'll get me out! You'll see!" Harley called out. "You'll see..." She sighed and sat on the bench and started to cry.

"Oracle, I'm done. Harley is subdued and I have her prints scanned." Batman told his partner from the comm.

"Is Mia okay?" Oracle asked.

"I'm still alive, thank you." Mia replied. "Glad Harley is over with. Now we have to go to the gardens." After the conversation with Oracle, the duo are about to leave the place. Mia felt satisfied for hitting Harley earlier. Batman took her hand and kissed it. Mia smiled a bit.
