AN: Here's the second chapter of Beloved Of Perfection. I'm sorry for how short this chapter ended up being. The next chapter, the third one will be quite a bit longer than this one is. I really enjoyed writing this chapter.

It had been a few hours since Mileena and Tanya had arrived at Cassie's barely used apartment. Mileena used a phone that was there to call Cassie for more details on Earthrealm entertainment. They were watching some kind of anime crime drama that was pretty good while they painted each other's nails. They were both dressed in Earthrealm pajamas, Mileena wore pink and purple while Tanya was wearing yellow with white trim. The colors were the same as what they wore.

Mileena couldn't keep the smile off of her face. She was just so happy. She glanced over to Tanya, she noticed that she was also smiling. It's been a long time since she had this much that didn't have anything to do with fighting, killing, or both at the same time."This is honestly more fun than I thought it would be. If you want, we can eat some of those snacks that Cassie has here. I'm getting a little bit hungry again." Mileena said, her face heating up with a bright red blush as her stomach suddenly rumbled.

"I was actually thinking the same thing. We just have to be very careful with the nail polish." Tanya replied, feeling famished as well. She hadn't eaten a lot before they went to Earthrealm that day. She was so excited to hang out with Mileena, she only ate a couple of things.

Once their newly polished nails had dried, they both had more food to eat. They didn't want to drink any kind of alcohol that night, so they stayed away from what Cassie had bought to keep in the apartment. They talked while eating to avoid awkward space in between their conversations.

That's not to say that they got bored around one another, it was the complete opposite. Both Mileena and Tanya wanted to talk as much as they could when they had the chance to because of how busy they usually were ruling Outworld, neither of them got to spend a lot of time together.

"Dearest Tanya I am quite curious, what was the older version of me like? I apologize if this question is so sudden." Mileena asked, wanting to know what Tanya thought of her.

"The same as you are now, my empress. You were older though and your personality was the same." Tanya replied, not sure what else to tell Mileena about her older self. A knot of sadness and sorrow tightened up in her throat every time she thought how the Mileena she knew had died at the hands of the now dead, D'vorah. Mileena had killed the Kytinn in revenge for her murder. She shook her head to get rid of those unwanted thoughts. Mileena was right there with her, albeit a younger version of her, but it was still her Mileena. She was just happy to have Mileena alive with her.

"Ah. I'm glad that I hadn't changed that much as I got older, then over the course of the last thirty years." Mileena said with a smile, locking eyes with Tanya, who looked away with a blush a moment later.

Nearly two hours later, they had settled onto the couch, watching movies on Netflix with Cassie's help from over the phone as she helped find something to watch. It was starting to get chilly so the two Outworlders shared a blanket.

Mileena and Tanya would eventually fall asleep, cuddled up together on the couch with their arms wrapped around each other, their legs intertwined. Things in their lives were finally going the way they wanted them to.

AN2: And that's the end of this second chapter. I don't know when I'll have the third chapter written & published, but it will be soon. I'll probably write & publish the third chapter of Cabin Fever first. And I'll also try to write & publish the upcoming chapters for I'm Dating My Mom & My Sexy Clone and The Angel & Empress.
