Greetings and Salutations! I realize that my pen name is a bit of a mouthful, so you may call me Shade or Syiren.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and for checking out my stories. I appreciate every view, fav, review, and follow. The rate I update my stories is random. This is mostly due to internet issues and the events of a busy and unpredictable personal life or sometimes a bad case of writer's block.

News Updates

4/17/2020 - I have a LOT of explaining to do. First of all, I am perfectly fine and healthy. A lot of things have happened. I was under a lot of stress for a good amount of time. Emotions were clashing and my health was suffering for it. Both physical and emotional. I have recently moved and am setting into a new, more relaxing environment. My roommates are fantastic, and I'm actually free to be myself. I was suffering some very bad migraines as well which forced me to call into work or clock out early on top of forcing me to miss family events including this past Christmas which sucked because my mother had made this really amazing holiday meal, which I was forced to skip. Now though, I have been improving greatly and though I do still suffer migraines they're not as bad. I know it has been a good 2 years since anything was updated, but they are coming, just slowly. I'm going to try not to stress myself out over anything, and I thank all you guys so much for your support and for taking the time to read my fan works. Your reviews, whether full of praise or criticism have been very very appreciated. I'll try to kick up an update for you all soon. ;)

8/9/2018 - Well hello there everyone! Yes, I am still active on here, don't you worry about that! I do want to apologize for any delays with current stories. It's not on purpose and Nightmare Undone is still running strong, I've just hit a tiny snag and due to work and real life stress it's having an effect on my writing for some stories. the good news is, I finally got internet restored so, I can actually get some work done without worrying if I can get a connection. I'm currently working on several writing projects and there's a nice new surprise in the works revolving around teamwork. I don't want to spoil anything yet, but it looks very promising, I'll tell you that much. Short update is short, mainly because it's after 2 am and I'm barely keeping my eyes open. xD Have a great one guys and keep an eye out for future announcements!

1/10/2018 - Well now. This update is long overdue. A late Happy New year to you all. The holidays are done and over (thank goodness) and things are starting to return to normal. My new year's resolution, well one of them is to update more stories, including some titles that have gathered a bit of dust. I'm trying to pick up the pieces, but some things need to be redefined thanks to my old computer's meltdown two summer's ago. Again, thank goodness for flash drives. I am working on a few new projects, including a respectful nod to the amazing writer known as Luckyladybug (seriously her stories are amazing go read them). I also hope to finish Saving the Lost this year and maybe, if things keep going smoothly, Nightmare Undone. Then I can focus more attention on titles like We're Friends, Right?, Brothers in Arms, Fool's Checkmate, Strife: SG-1, and Kindred Spirits. Oh yeah, and don't think I've forgotten Present from the Past or SnowStorm either, my dumb butt is just taking its sweet time. ;

9/5/2017 - My personal life has not been kind to me when it comes to my writing, or my internet life period for that matter. I say I'm going to be more active on sites like aniroleplay and deviantart, but that doesn't happen. I say I'm going to be more focused and get updates out more, that doesn't happen and now I'm facing a terrifying threat from mother nature that is a flipping HURRICANE out in the Atlantic and the long-range forecast has it headed right through the heart of my state. I would love to get updates out, but between all this crazy on top of work, it's forced me to take an unplanned hiatus. I hate that. I don't want to be doing this, but I hardly get any free time to myself these days. I am working on updates when I can, but they are taking me a while. I will update when I can, but in the meantime I'll be praying for this thing to turn back towards the Atlantic and go far FAR away from me.

My Original Characters

Sanders and Powel: These two appear in a few of my stories. Some have already been uploaded while others haven't. But in every one of them they are bullies. Plain and simple. Their purpose is to give Strife a hard time and keep him from reaching his dream. They'll be more fleshed out over time and this post will be updated when that happens.

Second Class Major Collins:

A favorite OC of mine that I like to use a lot. Collins is strict, tough and has no tolorance for slackers, yet he also wants his students to succeed. He is never easy on them, but he knows when to shift from being a strict, iron boot to helping a student off the floor when they've been pushed too far. He's an instructor and despite his good marks he has turned down two promotions. His job may be tiring and annoying at times and he may have to deal with troublesome students, but he wouldn't have it any other way because he is truly happy knowing that he can help young cadets prepare and train to become promising SOLDIERs that the company can be proud of.

This is going to be a fun ride, and we hope you all enjoy it! We are following along with canon, but won't hesitate to take some liberties in order to ensure the story's quality, as you all deserve the very best we have to offer! :D

2. Over the past few months fangirlMasquerade and I have been working on a collab project. I've already posted about this before in my May update. However, I feel it deserves its own special place. What started out as a role play for Final Fantasy VII quickly evolved into something much greater than we first anticipated. Now we've got a lengthy multi-chapter story ( which you can find here on her fanfiction page: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11210810/1/Operation-Sleepover ). Also, the adventure doesn't stop there. We are in the planning/brainstorming process of working out a possible sequel to the first story. Much of the first story is already written. It just needs to be worked out and put into story form. Now, I'm not going to give away the ending point to this story and where it leads for the sequel, but I will say that Cloud's adventures have only just begun. Also, keep in mind that this story is AU. We are following along with the canon story, however we are changing a few elements. Some of the more heart-breaking things in the FF7 verse will be altered, but there will be some equally sad nightmares to fill in their place. I won't be giving those away either. For that you'll just have to find out for yourself.
