Rick Castle has six weeks to deliver a blockbuster manuscript or lose his book publisher. Fresh off a divorce and lacking both inspiration and Christmas cheer, he agrees to spend the holiday away from the city. Evergreen, Vermont, and its police chief, however, were not part of the plan...

This is a collection of stories in which I take each episode from Season 8 and change something - hopefully for the better. So they may diverge quite a bit from canon.

WWII AU. Castle Commands a PT boat squadron, operating out of England. Katherine Beckett-Trent is WRNS officer and the widow of a Royal navy officer killed when the HMS Hood was sunk by the Bismarck. They meet on duty. Both are hurt and bitter. can they heal each other?

A post series story. Rick is in the dumps because most of his family won't be around for Christmas Eve. They all have other plans, such that they won't be there until Christmas day. Kate makes plans to try to cheer her morose husband and make Christmas Eve a day he will remember.

Kate had never planned to see him again but now, she would have to see him. She had to see Castle, for the first time in weeks, and talk to him. Oh shit. Starting in the summer before S2 and then going AU from there.

Castle and Beckett are testing a new vacuum cleaner.

This is Totally AU; Beckett has moved to DC for the job, the talk on the swings was cordial, although heartbreaking. Each has decided it's best (for the other) to part ways. Then fate intervenes. Set at end of Season 5, Taking Literary License to fill in the blanks. I don't own Castle; I use the characters for amusement purposes only, except the ones I create.

No one can ever predict how his life will change. Turns out, you just have to go to driving school to do it. Kate Beckett is a first-year student, Rick Castle is a single father, a novice writer, yet little known to the general public. All descriptions, coincidences, characters are fictional, coincidences are coincidental.

Coffee is their thing. It's greeting, peace offering, unspoken promise to always be there. Coffee has helped to tear down her walls. A late night conversation adds a new layer to their coffee story.
