Major Carter, Daniel Jackson, and Doctor Fraiser must concoct a plan to save the Colonel before it's too late - while working through ominous political intricacies amongst the Tremai's ruling class. Very slight Sam/Janet in later chapters. Rated T for some language.

Five times Jack was able to hold Sam's hand. It was mostly because he felt it was his duty but despite his sense of duty, he definitely wanted to encase her smaller and delicate but deadly hands in his larger, rough, calloused ones.
