This story follows the life of Stephanie Foster, a Level 2 CSI for the Las Vegas Crime Lab, and the relationship and work problems that come with working there. Chapters may change POV.

When someone comes back into Sara's life she has to face things she thought she'd buried a long time ago. She needs the support of the people that love her, but will her stubborn self let them closer? And how will she deal with the resurfacing of things long suppressed? Set beginning season 13.

It's Sara's birthday, and that leads Nick to a memory...
