Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 40
After getting off of the phone with Fran, Penelope knowing that it would be a while before her hotstuff would be home sent him a text telling him that she was heading home because she was exhausted. He sent her a text back telling her that they would be home early in the morning and to be careful and he loved her.
All the way home all she could think of was that she was going to be a mommy and Derek, was going to be a daddy, her and her new husband were going to be parents. By the time she was able to wrap her head around it she was pulling into their garage and putting their car in park so she could get out and head inside.
She was so tired that she decided against a shower and changed into her night clothes and headed straight to bed and it didn't take but a few minutes before she had drifted off to sleep. The next morning when she woke up sure enough her hotstuff was sleeping peacefully behind her with his head buried in the side of her neck.
As she looked at the bedside table she smiled because sitting there was a dozen long stem red roses and several balloons that either said Happy Valentines Day, I love you or Congratulations on them. She reached out and touched the roses and grinned even bigger, she couldn't believe that after being gone and being as tired as she was he still managed to get her something for Valentines Day.
Derek smiled and said, "their is a huge box of candy for my baby girl over there too you just can see it for the flowers but it's there I promise". She turned around and kissed him passionately and said, "soooo what do you think about the news that we're going to be parents"? Derek said, "I'm happy, no scratch that I am wayyyyyyyyyy beyond happy baby girl" as his lips descended on hers.
Penelope couldn't help but smile as Derek babbled on about the things they needed to do like get her an OB, decide where they were going to put the nursery, discuss names and the lists went on and on. She finally had to silence him by crashing her lips on his, Derek wrapped his arms around her and then preceded to make mad passionate love and worshipping every inch of her body.
Several hours later after slipping in a nap the happy couple showered together and got dressed so they could head out and celebrate Valentines Day together. Derek had talked to Dave and he called in a favor to get Derek and Penelope a reservation at Larue's, which happened to be the best place to eat in town and with it being the day before Valentines Day it had costed Dave several favors.
Dave had gotten off of one jet and hopped onto his own private jet and flew to Chicago so that he could spend the day with Fran and he went all out with flowers, candy, balloons and a beautiful pearl necklace that he knew that Fran would love.
Derek couldn't help but grin as he watched his wife during dinner, she kept putting her hand on her stomach, almost like a reflex, he thought it was cute. After dinner they went dancing and then for a walk to the park, it was so beautiful on Valentines Day with all of the decorations, just another thing that Penelope loved about living that close to the park.
As they walked Derek said, "Dave said, that ma and the girls were going to be moving here to Virginia this weekend, for now the girls are going to be living with them". Penelope said, "it will be good to have them so close, now if only T and Charlotte would move here with their girls that would be even better", Derek nodded his head yes in agreement.
Derek still couldn't believe it, he was going to have a son or daughter to spoil, the sex of the child didn't matter to him, the only thing that mattered was that the baby and his or her momma were both happy and healthy.
Later on that night as they laid wrapped in each others arms they sighed happily knowing that soon, very soon they were going to be adding another member to their ever growing clan.
