Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 43
Derek and Penelope looked at each other and then at Fran as Derek said, "how is the baby, is the baby okay"? Fran had cut the cord and was cleaning the baby off a little and said, "oh yeah, he's fine, he's perfectly fine and ready for his mommy and daddy to hold him" as she wrapped him up in a blanket and then handed him to Penelope.
Penelope said, "look at what we did Derek, look at this little angel", Derek kissed the top of her head and then kissed his son on the top of the head and said, "hello there buddy I'm your daddy". Penelope looked at his chubby little face and said, "he's so adorable, he looks just like his daddy" and Derek said, "I think he looks like his mommy".
Reid smiled and said, "congratulations guys, he's gorgeous", Derek said, "thanks pretty boy" as their attention then went back to the crying baby in Penelope's arms. In the distance you could now here sirens, Fran said, "well now they come after all of the fun is over with, right Penelope"?, Penelope laughed and said, "yeah right, fun".
They turned to the door as Dave said, "can we come in and see the mommy and baby before the medics take them away"?. Derek and Penelope both nodded their heads yes and everybody came inside for a few seconds to get a glimpse of baby boy Morgan.
Hotch said, "he's precious Penelope, he's so gorgeous", Charlotte said, "he's gonna be a heart breaker when he gets older" and everybody nodded their heads yes in agreement. T said, "have you guys got a name picked out yet"?, Derek smiled and said, "yeah" as he looked down proudly at his new son.
He then looked up at his family and said, "everybody we would like for you to meet Hank Spencer Morgan", Reid smiled and said, "I'm honored". Derek said, "Hank after my pops and Spencer after the best little brother anybody could ever have", Derek then threw his arms around Reid and said, "I love you pretty boy" and Reid said, "and I love you too Morgan, you and Garcia are my brother and sister and I would do anything for you".
Penelope looked up and said, "and you did, you helped Fran bring him into the world, now that is going wayyyyyy above and beyond boy wonder" causing Reid to smile. Dave said, "the medics are coming through the front door now" and everybody stepped out of the room minus Derek and Penelope of course, they weren't moving from their spots because they were to captivated by their son to care about anything else.
As Fran looked at what was happening from the door she said, "'Char why don't you guys go ahead down and eat while it's still hot, we'll be done after they take Penelope, Derek and Hank away, we'll all eat and head to the hospital" and everybody nodded their heads yes in agreement as they turned around and headed down the stairs to eat their dinner while the medics got Penelope and the baby ready to transport to the hospital.
Derek smiled down at Penelope and said, "it's been quiet a year hasn't it baby girl"?, she said "that is has handsome, that it has" and Derek said, "last Thanksgiving was our first holiday together as a couple and now this one is our first as parents with a new son" causing Penelope to look down at her now sleeping son and said, "Happy Thanksgiving Hank, Happy Thanksgiving".
A few minutes later everybody was watching from the door as Derek, Penelope and Hank were loaded onto the ambulance and before the doors shut Fran said, "we'll be there in a little while, congratulations, we love you" and Derek ad Penelope smiled and said, "we love you too" and then the ambulance doors closed and they watched as the ambulance pulled away from the curb with the newest member of their family on board.
