Prologue
In the beginning when Aerys II assumed the Iron Throne.
He was the most handsome in his youth like all his Targaryen families are.
Princess Meria Nymeria Martell had been a guest at the coronation since that awful day.
Years ago, tragedy struck at the house of Targaryen.
The Tragedy at Summerhall was a fire at Summerhall, a pleasure castle of House Targaryen in the Dornish Marches, in 259 AC. The conflagration caused the deaths of, among others, King Aegon V Targaryen, his eldest son, Prince Duncan Targaryen, and Ser Duncan the Tall, the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.
In 262 AC king, Jaehaerys II Targaryen died of an illness, after ruling for only three years. His only son Aerys rose to the throne, naming his childhood friend Tywin Lannister as his Hand.
However, it was not just the coronation to celebrate.
The birth of the crown prince, Rhaegar son of Aerys and Rhealla who continues the practice of incest marriage.
Yet Princess of Dorne knows this won't be an easy matter. After all, knowing the situation, it would not be easy to make new Targaryen family members.
'After all,' She mused herself. 'Looking at these jackals are eager to throw their daughters to the royal family grace.'
She brought her group of party of Dornish with her from House of Blackmont, Uller, Yronwood, and Dayne.
One that caught the eye of the new King is Lady Amalthea from House of Dayne. She is a young, beautiful, tall, and fair maiden, with haunting violet eyes.
Like all Dayne's that inherited strong Valyrian with Dornish bloodline that intertwined for centuries. Hell, they even had a Targaryen married a Dayne bride before.
Aerys asked more like ordered that she is to be brought into his chambers to see if he can "meet" with Lady Amalthea Dayne.
After he had bedded a Dornish whom for some odd reason he dislikes her kind, waved her away and never be summoned again.
Lady Amalthea Dayne returned to Dorne, but not without his 'Gift'.
She became pregnant with his child. It was not odd that Dorne would sire bastards before legitimate children of their own.
Her Lord father demands who is the father of the child.
Words blurted out, "Aerys Targaryen."
Her Lord father shouted with curses and language in Rhoynish's tongue. Lady Amalthea knew she had destroyed her father's plan to marry into the House of Toland.
Now confined into her chambers at Starfall, rubbing her pregnant stomach. Part of her regrets it since they ended the line of Blackfyre and their rebellion and many of Westeros now make things more difficult for bastard children.
Lord Dayne had sent a raven to Kingslanding with news that Lady Amalthea is carrying his child.
The King made a brief reply, "I will acknowledge your child." It was not much the best reply, but Lady Amalthea could be careless about what the new king says.
'Fine, let him gloat,' Amalthea huffs haughtily. 'I will raise me a child as I see fit.'
Amalthea doesn't care for you see, this child is hers and no one else shall have it!
During her hard and long labor, her efforts are worth it.
A daughter is born. Amalthea saw her beautiful daughter. Valyrian's looks, wearing her silver-gold hair and eyes had amethyst royal purple color and her porcelain skin. True as she is a Targaryen beauty, but calmly nature is truly a Dayne.
'You are the love of my life. A true daughter of my father's house.'
"My precious little star," She cooed her infant daughter in her arms. "Dorne is a safe haven for you my little star. However, the rest of the world is a cruel place for children like you. But no matter what you are my daughter. A Dayne or a Sand, you are mine alone."
The was bright red lighting up the room. News and ravens were sent out to Dorne and Kingslanding. In return, King Aerys sent more Ravens to announce his baseborn daughter.
It has been written: Two hundredth and sixty-second years after Aegon's conquest. A daughter was born from Amalthea from House of Dayne and Aerys II from House of Targaryen. Her name is…
"Rhaenyra Sand" Amalthea said to her child. She named her daughter that to harden her daughter's heart and fear of that name after the one and half year queen.
'In fact, he has no saying in what to name my daughter,' That alone would make her day more fun.
The Red Comet was seen in the skies over most of the two continents, bright enough to be seen during the day.
